After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
I have bid in past auctions and have always had a good experience.and will continue to bid in future auctions
I like the online bidding experience.
I was able to go see what I was bidding on since I was close to the location. Bidding was easy but I had trouble with my internet connection and I had to close down and restart because the bidding locked up. There was a nice greeting before it started and received a nice receipt after it was done. The auctioneer was very friendly and pickup was easy.
I have used them before and it worked out well. This one was close to me.
Using the watch list is really helpful for searching for what you want to bid on.
My daughter and I have buy on HiBid for a few months now and are completely satisfied with there operations. Shipping has always arrived perfectly.
This sale had waaaay too many lots closing at the same time...worst sale ever for that!
This sale did not need a 4 minute extension to the bidding time; most sales have 2 mins which is lots if you know what you are doing.
On this sale; I registered for the sale, but when I bid I still needed approval by the auctioneer?
Did not choose Hibid; it was the sale I picked to bid on items. I use all the sale platforms...Hibid is not the best. They all need improvement...i would like to know what details the auction company has to put into the sale that makes all of the sales different? There should be higher standards for items to be in a sale.
Hibid is a user friendly website. Most items have sufficient pictures to make a decision.
Canadian so no surprise fees
Always a Great time looking through the items. I usually purchase off Ebay or Mercari but have got some great buys here even with added fees the combined shipping can be a lot cheaper then eBay but sometimes the shipping is high with some shippers used by the auction places charging $5.00 or more a box and another $5.00 or more for bubble but overall it's been great.
Stumbled across it while searching for some diecast cars and always return searching for more
So, in the recent record auction. I was away from my laptop and used the mobile app. I bid on a record and was winning it when the auction said it was closing. After I felt the win was well in hand, I shut the app off. When I returned home to finish the auction, I noticed that I had actually lost that record to someone else? The app did not work as intended.
I'm not the most tech savvy person so I get intimidated by new auction sites. After I got used to the newness of HiBid, I realized how user friendly it is. I love the live bid feature and the detailed info on each auction.
A friend recommended it for local auctions.
Very easy to use website for finding local auctions. Already have my eyes on another one!
Used before in the past
I am a long time user, usually bid every week, have for years.
I use "Tile View". When I am in my "Watch List" and make bids, not everything updates.
The bid in that particular "Lot Box" will update the dollar amount, but does not update the bids and the bidder in the line under the dollar amount. Clicking "refresh" does not update it, I have to click "reload" on my browser. Also, when I bid, the numbers in the green, gold, red, blue boxes, do not update. But I can update clicking "refresh". That's too many clicks in the heat of the battle. LOL
I didn't, the auction house did. So...you should try to make them happy.
Thought it went great got a lot of good deals. Bidding on a couple of more auctions right now
No specific reason
I guess I was too late to bid on more than one item. When I tried to bid on anything else it kept saying that it was ending soon and I couldn't make another offer.
Found you online
Encore auctions are scammers. They list items with lead descriptions that do not state truthful information.
A few hours before closing they change the description and you are stuck with buying something that was not advertised. They will change the description to missing parts and then after bidding closes and you are stuck with a broken useless item they then change the lead description to FINAL Sale I was stuck buying a recliner chair that had started out as a recliner and by the end of closing I was stuck with a parts missing final sale piece of crap
BEWARE of buying anything from this place
Tip for consumers:
This company are scammers they sell junk

I have bid and won some great stuff on Hi-Bid. From washing machine, clothes dryer, freezer. Jewelry and coins to metal detectors. I just got a lawnmower yesterday for a good price. You name it its on here.
Found by accident on a google search.

Bidding is easy, and the updates are good. A little better descriptions would be appreciated.
I was supposed be notified when the rifles and guns were to be auctioned, but I haven't been notified. Has there been an auction yet?
My cousin notified me of the auction.
When an item goes to LIVE BID, it brings up ALL of the items in live bid. I finally get to the one I am bidding on and an ad comes up instead of my item. I try again and the screen just circles. I missed out on bidding in an item I really really really wanted because by the time I got to it, the bidding was closed.
I didn't choose it. Belle City resale did and i intend to tell them that this service sucks
Easy to place bids and when outbid, a notification is sent to you so that you have another chance to bid higher if you wish. Also, following the closing of the auction items, it's easy to follow each item. As far as shipping goes, I have received items that were broken, notified HiBid and don't believe they made good on the broken items.
The majority of auctions I follow are in my home state of Montana. During spring/summer and fall, should I be the high bidder on anything that cannot be shipped, I have the option to drive to the auction city to pick my items up.
Everything was good, when it got towards the end it kept crashing on my end.
Blank screens and couldn't update bids.
Also could not get back to a page where we could see items we had not bid on at that point we could only see things we had already bid on.
Someone sent me a link
Went quickly, if another bid came in, it was hard to keep up with bids.
Auction company used
After sale service is great. Bought 12 items, 11 of them were as described. 1 was a return, not even close to the description in catalog, had been put in box of a much more expensive scooter. All of the packing materials from both were in the box.
Easy and fast moving
The HiBid auctions seem completely unregulated. From fees being all over the place to starting bids being all over the place. Don't try to ask a question of an auctioneer because chances are you will never get an answer. Items can be completely misidentified to just flat out lies on what they actually are. This is like EBay 20 years ago. I get the solid feeling HiBid is not worried about what is going on.
Because they are used by a local auction company and I mistakenly thought the integrity the local company has was shared by the HiBid company. After a few auctions it is not.
I've bought from 3 different sellers & had a good experience with all of them. The general website is easy to use & loads well on my phone.
Recommended by a friend.
Great except for the Compass credit card fees and being forced to only pay by credit card.
Site was offered when I originally signed up to bid on a local acution.
