Much easier to bid from home, Then Standing around at a live Onsite Auction. Don't waste the time of Driving there, spending 3 to 4 hours and then coming home with nothing.

Extension was only one min which made it difficult to keep up with Mutiple items closing at the same time. I was unable to get rebids in fast enough on several items.

I joined HiBid a few months ago and started bidding on a few items. The first couple items I won were ok transactions albeit with high shipping fees. Then the real fun began. I had a couple winning bids where the auctioneer immediately charged my credit card but then didn't answer my emails about setting up shipping and this went on for weeks with me chasing them down trying to get items shipped. One auctioneer kept my money and then conveniently disappeared from HiBid with no way to contact them. Another auctioneer sent me a shipping invoice for an item which I immediately paid in full. Then the auctioneer came back two days later and told me I owed MORE because he had miscalculated the shipping cost. I told them this was unfair, so next thing you know he left a negative feedback that put my feedback score in the red and blocked me from bidding on anything else until I paid the extra shipping.

I will say that there are a few honest auction houses using this site. These auction houses send timely emails, use fair shipping practices, respond right away to questions, and leave positive feedback. But there are way too many bad apples that are allowed to do whatever they want on this site. I currently keep a big spreadsheet of auctioneers that are good to work with and ones to avoid. The ones to avoid are marked in red, and let me tell you my spreadsheet shows a lot of red.

Currently have a bid on a diamond ring with a max bid just like magic 1 bid below mine now I'm currently winning with my max bid. Went through whole auction the same bidder on multiple items same thing happening same date and same time. This is a shill bidding sight( AVOID AT ALL COST) APPARENTLY THEY Don't CARE.

Awesome as always only thing that could get better is more pictures of items. But that could be more on the hands of the auction company putting on sale.

I have acquired many things off HiBid. I recently experienced an auctioneer who lacks ethics and honesty. For example listing a poly resin candelabra as solid brass. Had I not viewed the piece, which I bid on, I would have not known until it was time to pick the piece up. They also were listing picture frames as gilt, but were only gold painted. After bringing this to the auctioneer's attention she did change one item mid auction but refused to correctly describe the others. This is misleading and unethical - misrepresentation. I will write the auction association and file a complaint. The HiBid website should have a rating system so buyers, who keep this auction site alive, should be able to rate the auctioneers to keep them honest. It is the auctioneers responsibility to present pieces accurately, not guess their properties or qualities. Buyers should not have to view the pieces in person as most are out of town. If EBay did this they would be out of business. The model HiBid is using allows unethical auctioneers to take advantage of buyers. I'm now very wary of buying from HiBid.

Very easy online biding site to use. Enjoyable exprience and option of picking up winning items in person. Would recommend giving site and service a try.

Shipment went to my old address because on my profile bill to changed but not ship to, but only happens with 1 auction company. Each blames the other HiBid and auction house

Customer service told me my address issue is with the seller not them. Seller says it a hi-Bid problem. I have already lost 3 shipments because they go to my old address and someone signed for them and kept the items. Auction Network is the site

I have bought through Daughtry and Putney auctions and have got along great they both have excellent people to help when you go to pick up your merchandise

One auction they will let you bid and the next they won't even let you register. I must of out bid them on their last auction. Their website is the slowest in the auction business. If you like to bid in the last few minutes move on cause you have to bid like an hour because their site is so slow. Completely worthless go to auctionzip for real lots and 100% going service. Cause if you have any problems you better hope it's Monday through Friday on business hours or get not a bit of help. Since alot of the auctions are on the weekend guess what your screwed because hibid don't care and don't want to help the bidder or the seller out. So, DON'T USE THIS WORTHLESS WEBSITE

Obviously, this company gets paid by the auctioneers using this app, and the auctioneers wouldn't pay to use it if it didn't draw business... so when I had an issue with an auctioneer, I contacted Hibid for assistance. My request went completely unacknowledged. A simple reply was too much to ask of them. This may be the direction society is going, but in an industry that RELIES on a customer base, you dont just get to dodge CUSTOMER SERVICE bc you want to.

Thoroughly enjoyed bidding on the Carolina Estate Services online auction as well as meeting David (the owner) and his wife at pickup. Liked the fact that it ended on a Monday evening.

It used to lock up when the bidding went down to the final minutes but this time around I was able to stay on top of the bidding and won several bids because of this.

It was so easy and organized that I actually bid on more than my budget expected to spend. At the end it was well worth the time. I certainly recommend this platform

Love bidding online. It's very easy. I only gave 4 stars because I find it difficult to search in my area. It came up with different auctions even though I put in the same search criteria.

I do many online auctions and this is by FAR MY FAVORITE! Denise makes everything so smooth and easy, from bidding to pickup. Please keep doing these. I really enjoy them so much!

I like the updates when my bid is no longer winning. It keeps me alert as to how much time I have left in order to change my bid.

HiBid enables fraudulent shill bidding practices by allowing sellers or auctioneers see maximum bids. This promotes the sellers to bid up to your maximum bid without the intent of buying the item. SHAME ON THEM FOR ENABLING UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR.

M&M Auctions and Herb McCandless #4719 Started a black ball against me on Hi Bid. He claimed my card didn't go through, No call from him. I had to track him down weeks later on Facebook. Avoid this auction house in SC. I tried to meet with him in person to pay him cash. He woulnd't even meet me to pay off my bill. He said he had my things in his living room and sent me a pic to prove it. He is the only one among 45 different auction houses that had this problem with my card... NO one ever had this problem just him. He then put negative comments on Hi Bid and then other auction houses after reading what he wrote started to decline my bidding and then they added the same comments, which acted like a domino affect. One auction house even claim I was denied to bid so I opened an account under my husband's name and tried to bid, However, my husband has his own account and has for a long time... this is BS. This has all been defamatory towards me. I can't look at my account on there to see what they are saying Hi Bid doesn't allow you to do that, So Bidders are in the dark. Therefore, I have been defamed by several auction house, because of ONE comment from M&M in Myrtle Beach SC. I feel there needs to be a class action law suit against this auction site for allowing this to happen to ppl with no way for the bidder to defend themselves. I feel discriminated against and this is not right. Someone please start a class action law suit..

If you're like me, you're not just shopping an auction for good deals, but because you like the thrill of the auction itself. I have participated in two auctions with Texas HiBid and I can promise you that I will not do it again. Most recently, I purchased 3 items (2 microwaves and a heat lamp), it has been 3 weeks and the items still have not shipped. Every time I call, someone tells me that they should be going out any day now & they would ship with FedEx. Someone told me 4 days ago that they would push the items through. Today someone told me they would look into it & after I pleaded with him to please take care of it, he promised he would. Well he just called back to say they have charged me for the shipping, but they are having trouble with their FedEx labels, so he has no tracking info for me. Guess what…. Shipping cost more than the items! So here I have been waiting for 3 weeks and they haven't even shipped, but charged me MORE than the items cost to ship them from Austin to Fort Worth. So. If you are thinking of purchasing here, be kind to yourself and DO NOT DO IT.
