HiBid

Hibid ran an auction in Macon, MO and closed the auction an hour early. Anyone bidding could see by the timer the auction would end early. After the auction closed and I had won several lots, they opened it back up an hour later. The majority of the items I had previously won got jacked up sky high and ran long after the auction was supposed to close the second time. This all seems a really strange way to run an auction. I won't be doing anymore bidding on auctions through them OR the auction service that used them for this auction.

I LOVE Hibid auction site! It is so easy to use. I search available auctions in my area or online auctions only and watch anything that interests me. Then I place my max bid and forget about it. If I win I get notification and its a surprise like Christmas!

The only issue is on the auditions behalf of placing certain items to close to one another in time so that it makes it difficult to bid on multiple units at the same time in hopes of getting the single one you're after.

We scan the auctions often for things we want and need to make our lives better. HiBid makes it easy. They send emails on a regular basis. I can scan the local auctions and then scope out some farther away. I set my own parameters for the auctions I want to see. There's an easy search option if I'm looking for something specific. The 'watchlist' is where I spend a lot of time, checking on the items I'm watching or that I've bid on.

I always enjoy browsing the auctions on HiBid and typically find some very interesting items. My most recent experience was very pleasant, bidding was easy, I was able to follow my items as well as bid on my items on my phone with ease. I was very pleased with my the items I won, felt that they were a good value, picking up the items was smooth and easy.
Only suggestion I would have is often I find that there is just a little less information about the items than I would really like to know prior to bidding. If

I bid and won a guitar... not a low quality instrument! No Protection - Not in a Cardboard Box - NO Bubble Wrap!
I was told it would be well packed... See the attached Pics for rips and tears.
That also means the Leather Corners of the guitar case were ripped and torn!

Beware. I was Breathless and shaken... the guitar needs to be repaired as It Does Not Work!

I dont think anyone reviewing hibid understands what they are. Hibid is like the ebay of local auctions. Hibid does not sell ANYTHING. They dont pack anything, they dont ship anything. They are just the platform that hundreds if not thousands of independent auctioneers use to run auctions. Some good. Some bad.

Often times your auction experience is how good YOU make it. I always reach out to auctioneers before a sale. If they offer shipping I ask how they ship and what sort of packing they use. I give specific instructions with valuable and expensive items and confirm they can comply with my needs.

The result: i spend tens of thousands of dollars at individual auctions that i never would have known about, or never would have participated in if it wasnt for internet hosting sites like hibid. And long term I've bid on millions of dollars of equipment for my business that I otherwise never would have had access to.

I was bidding on a Canadian auction which clearly stated that the money was in Canadian dollars but when the auction ended I was charged in US dollars, about 25% more...

There is a glitch that has happened some times during live bids where it's counting down I bid and it has shown it had closed when I try to bid and it showed over a minute or 2 minutes other than that it has been a good experience

I quite often get the feeling that the auction site is bidding against me up to my reserve high bid. Always seems my high bid is matched but never over and not just occasionally. Many bids on many items in the same auction. Anyone else get that feeling?

There is literally something for every kind of collector. It also allows individuals a chance to find hidden treasures at prices that are hard to beat!

Hessney auction house contacted me as someone else congratulating me for winning their auction.
Their excuse was I must have given my email to someone else in the past to use.
I told them I had reservations about shipping and would like a quote.
They fought for a week telling me they are tired of my questions about getting me mixed up with another bidder from another auction.
They finally gave me a shipping quote.
They tried to take payment from a credit card when I previously told them I would like hibid involved in the mix up before I unlock my card.
They then said they will only take a special type of wire.
I told them the money is on my card for them to take.
Keep in mind this was a $3000 purchase with the same credit card I have used with hibid without issue.
They refused with me replying that I would lock my card again so do not attempt to make another charge to save them fees if there are.
They then proceeded to say that I was aiming to fraud them and rip them off from the beginning and would do their best to give me a bad name with hibid and other auction houses stating that I'm out to rip people off.
They got my whole identity wrong in the beginning.
I believe they treated me poorly due to their mistakes and have no grounds to slander me in such a manner.
The staff at hibid/ auction flex have been fair and helpful.
I have also worked with New Braunfels auction Co with complete satisfaction being the auction before this one.
So for Hessney house to say I have no buying or payment history is a complete lie.
If you want a trusted auction house that is 100% trustworthy go with New Braunfels, they went beyond what was expected for good business, I give Mew Braunfels 6 's out of 5

I made to many mistakes by trusting scum who are using Hibid platform to fraud bidders, I bought fake Maro and another signed print. But today there is paper auction (books and magazines), checked EBay sell the same at half price. Advice, do your homework before bidding because at this point it is a joke that will cost you $$$$, I contacted Christie's for advice on Maro! FAKE.

Today, after doing much research, I had my bids rejected by an auction house in Wisconsin. I called them to find out why and they told me it was because of one negative feedback. To put this in perspective, I've averaged about $20,000 per year on HiBid for the last 4 years. About 4 years ago I gave negative feedback to an auction house in Albuquerque NM due to their misleading practices, and in turn they gave me negative feedback on HiBid. Recourse? None. There is nothing a buyer can do to eliminate or explain negative feedback, and there appears to be no statute of limitation. HiBid MUST be held accountable as it is their platform that allows this injustice to occur. There MUST be a recourse for buyers to appeal bad feedback, and one bad feedback should not prohibit a buyer from participating in auctions around the world. This is my livelihood, this is how I obtain my inventory for my online store. HiBid has crippled my ability to feed my family and, as of now, I have no recourse.

I'm a watch buyer and I've been checking out HiBid, and it is clear they do not have any rules for listing authentic goods.

As I write this, there are more fake Rolex watches in their system than genuine ones.

The auction houses use ‘as-is' or ‘unauthenticated' to skirt their responsibility for selling honest goods.

Face it, if they thought a watch might be real, and generate larger bids, they'd go to the trouble, but when they don't authenticate, you can bet they know it's fake but they're not honest enough to admit it.

Be VERY careful when bidding on the questionable junk on HiBid.

There is a lot to appreciate about the HiBid auction experience. The search tools enables a search by location, or specific items. After you set up your account you can keep a watch list of things you plan to bid on. Bidding is easy and I've never had a bad experience with any of the sellers.

I found using this service to be easy and fast in keeping pace with the items I was interested in bidding on. I like the format for reviewing "watched" items and the ease in which one can register to bid.

Hibid came to our business and literally robbed us. They took our inventory and did not give us any invoices or receipt of what was sold. Only one customer came to pick up their purchase. The rest of our inventory was sold to so friends, family and there so call loyal customers. We got absolutely nothing out of doing business with them. Can you believe when we ask for proof of purchase for our merchandise (They called the police on us!) Business owners and consumers please stay away from this company. This was certainly a learning lesson for us. Giving advice to you… Always Always read any reviews on companies that you do business with. Stay away from Hibid!

Won several items on Auction Sale 29, I drove from Hamilton to London to pick up items. The auction lost one of the items. Promised a refund. No refund to date. Won a Rowenta fan. Fan does not work and came without remote. Defective. Sent two emails and left message for Customer Service asking for refund. No reply. Terrible Experience.

A bidder is bidding against Robots & the website 2 raise the price. When they give their word on after hours pick up, they lie & don't show up 2 get your items
They cuss out women & as the owner told me "he doesn't give a $#*! about reviews ". They purposely forfeit your items so they can resell them. Totally unprofessional website. BUYERS STAY AWAY.

I have had my fair share of experiences with online auctions. Not all of them were a pleasant. I have used Hibid a handful of times now. I must say that I have not had an issue with anything. Bidding is fast and easy. Finding the seller's contact info is conveniently placed to find easily. I am impressed! Thank you for building the site. Makes auctions fun again.

I have enjoyed browsing the various auctions in my area, occasionally buying. It is a site for the selling items no longer needed or wanted. Value of the items is like beauty... In the eyes of the beholder.

I'm new to this bidding online actually it's my first time ever bidding at a auction in person or online. I had a great time bidding on the items I liked. It was very exciting and intense when it got closer to closing out the items. I will definitely continue visiting auctions and bidding on items.

Again why I only gave 4 stars is because I have picked up the items I won. If things go well and I receive everything I won and if paying goes smooth and there isn't no hidden charges. I will change to 5 stars if Im able. I will definitely give HiBid high reviews on social media and word of mouth to anyone who is interested.

I contacted them in regards to I wasn’t able to figure out how to set up an appointment to get my winnings and The person didn’t respond the way I expected.. Instead of helping me right then I had the feeling he didn’t want to do anything so I told him I would go back and try to find out how to set up an appointment.. Then he said if I couldn’t then call back and he will help me find away to set up a appointment with the auctioneer.. I was able to get in contact with who I needed to after half hr of looking on my own.. That was my only issue..
