After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
I buy a lot of notre dame stuff. Every other week, a company from post falls idaho posts 3/4 if all posts of single notre dame cards that noone ever bids on! They re practically worthless. Yet, every other week...there tjey sre again. I counted the 6 first pages of 25 listings and 114 out of 150 listings were idahos cards with not a single listing of yhe 114 even having one bid! What a waste of time for everyone! The starting bid is usually 48 cents! Never get a single bid and they keep listing tnem, hogging all the room! I got to see 36 listings from all the other companies out of 150 total! Something should be done! The cards arent worth anything and i dont get to see other auctions items cause of this selfish idahoan auctioneer! It really sucks and i ve written tnem several please stop letters and even offered them 20 to quit listing all tnese worthless single cards. This should be illegal! Its grotesque!

Couldn't be easier to keep up and submit bids. Having to submit a review with at least 50 characters is why most people doesn't do them.?mmmmmmmmmm hope that was enough

Lots of fake bidders and dishonest sellers and the worst thing is that you can't deactivate your account and it allows sellers/auctioneer to see your maximum bid
This people on ONE STOP AUCTION SHOP want to charge me 108.00 DLLs for shipping.for 4 small collectibles cars 7 inches long and a barometer like 1 foot long and a clock box around 1 foot long.108 DLLs for shipping.this items weight around 4 lbs.all together.DO NOT BUY ANYTHING IF YOU GOING TO GET IT SHIP.they will screw you on shipping.this people can't be thrust.

I have used HiBid twice and each time was flawless. I didn't get everything that I wanted because of being outbid on some items. The purchases that I did make were effortless picking up. What a BLAST
I could no longer see the auction that I was bidding on and had to search for it. The auctioneer was very helpful to me.

During the auction have issues using iPad to monitor. Used to work fine then stoped.
Massive amount of venders
Have to fast other then that it's kinda hard with some items u can't be on site to see it. Like hearing a car run or testing other things more information on surtain items

Encore Auctions: Bought 6 items and all had issues: we were disgusted
No email nor voice mail response from the company (1 hour trip to get this junk)
Router - dead board, Coffee maker - used!, Bissel vac grossly used (disgusting), SH can (broken)
Why would Amazon allow these broken, used and maggoty items to be resold?

The bidding goes quick, smooth and simple. My only issue was that a few of my items said outbid only to learn I had won-great but I bid on other items thinking I was buying less
They are prompt and helpful. My only regret with the site is that when I registered to bid my card was declined. I wish I was made aware before I won items. I would not have bid until I cleared up my issue to avoid paying the premium due to an unseen situation.
The website is clear and very well laid out. Easy to register and customer service is quick to respond.

So, I say it is way too easy to bid, because it is! Absolutely easy to bid and sometimes get carried away, but it is well worth it! The products are mostly of good quality!

I love your site however the phone app is not user friendly. It is difficult to go back to last item, you have to go all the way out and then start over.

If you like paying for broken items. Then hind is for you! They are quick to debit your account but slow about helping you when the time comes to pick up your items. It's a cluster you know what when time comes to pick up your items. There is no organization, they let other bidders who have won items pick and paw through y of ur items scattering them and damaging them. And offers you no solution for broken items. They are a bunch of crooked crooks. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU JUST LIKE GIVING YOUR MONEY AWAY!

This review is to cover both the good and bad. I have at least one bid on a hibid auction at all times. I would say 95% of the auction companies on hibid are legit and do their best, however, there are a few bad apples...
Some shill bid. Its legal if they tell you... ethical... maybe... moral... nope!
Below is a screeny from Aaron Joseph auctions terms. They will bid up to the amount of the reserve... how do they know what Your reserve is? It has been verified that hibid auctioneers can see bidders max bids, thus can and will bid it up.
I also want to let you know on shipping... lots of these companies use 3rd party shippers. Again, most of these are just fine. They are a bit more expensive but they pack well... most of them...
The auction company wipes their hands of any responsibility once they give to 3rd party shippers then you are at their mercy. Recently, i had a shipment of 16# come to texas from South Carolina that was supposed to have 1400 declared value. It came normally packed and all good but with only $100 dv. The shippers charge was $115. I did all the math from speaking with them and quotes from UPS the total should not have been over $70... with dv of $1400
Just be careful out there... read the terms, call the shippers...

Not the picture.it was the last few second if the auction saw a picture of a grinder bid on it but the wording was air mattress.

Site was used through an estate sale auctioneer. Auctioneer organized the sale, photos and uploading of photos and descriptions to HiBid site very quickly.

HiBid is a platform for online auctions only. It is not the auctioneer, nor do they directly represent the auctioneer and the items being sold. What I find troubling generally is that there really seems to be no quality control system in place whatsoever. We know that auctions typically have the least restrictive guidelines compared to all types of retail sales, but when there is an actual legitimate problem with an auctioneer, it must be reported to the state the auctioneer business is licensed in because HiBid has no responsibility. And I guess while I understand the conundrum in trying to represent thousands upon thousands of both Sellers and Buyers, it's also quite frustrating that there seems to be no accountability on the part of HiBid or at least a mechanism to have the ability to report illegitimate behavior when necessary. So, ultimately it's 'Buyer Beware', nothing new as far as that goes. It makes auction items & potential buyers accessible that otherwise wouldn't be without it & that is a big deal.

I bid, buy often and have for several years now. I like the platform but there's no resolution if there is an issue with a auctioneer. I won an item online but received an email 1 hour 20 minutes later from auctioneer they sold the side by side to an on-site bidder. Called hibid to report- nothing done just told issue is with the auctioneer. Any auction I have been to if there's a discrepancy or dispute the item
Bidding is reopened between the parties involved! Guess ethics is going out the window in the auction business! Same auction and auctioneer in presiding I received an email items I had placed prebids on were being removed from auction. Again. A no no in the auction industry- auctioneer who sold our parents estate had told my family we couldn't advertise something then not offer it if we changed our mind later. We needed to decide beforehand if there was somethings we wanted to keep.
Not the first time this auctioneer had done this to a buyer after searching reviews!.

No tip because there's nothing a bidder can do. Hibid, auctioneer association take a note to put in file of auction company! Wow there's some serious consequences for some shady unethical auctioneer Co practices.

I had an extremely unfortunate experience with John Stephens at Great West Auctions in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada. I used them for my parents estate and amongst many questionable practices a deliberate theft was set up and all my father's extensive Elvis record collections/cd's as well as other records were stolen and I have no recourse. I have spent considerable time trying to find what there was in this pristine collection to no avail and at prices that are very high. Much I could say but the end result with regards to all the other items totaled just over 400.00 which was issued by cheque to me. The prices he sold the items at were priced way less than Goodwill have sold them for. Had I been informed as to how they operated I never would have gone ahead with them and as such I will never use an auction house for anything due to this horrendous experience I encountered. As well many items listed on the online auction were not even my father's and I can't even be sure what else was "stolen". Many of his cohorts were coming in and out of the house and it was utter chaos. Obviously, my kindness to John and my vulnerability were greatly exploited. I truly hope this is not standard practice for an auction house as I wouldn't want this happening to anyone else. I had to create an account in order to post this review.
