After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
I really like how easy it is to find local auctions and items. When using the app it doesn't refresh as fast as the website and sometimes you lose something even though there are a few seconds left.
It has the largest selection of auctions and items.
I set my area for fifty miles. The auction details are great. It is easy to bid and I get updates if I am outbid.
A few auctions do not let you review the items personally. I just don't bid on them.
I saw an item online that I wanted to bid on.
I use Kraft Auction Service almost exclusively. They start ON TIME… and everything is structured perfectly. Kraft's Staff is very… VERY efficient, fast, and very friendly! I look forward to "Next Time"!
I found them through a search for a previous local favorite Auction Service, “Paxbid”… although it seems they no longer in business. I found a couple I use now, but none are even CLOSE to Kraft in customer care and professionalism!
You need tp notify people of they win a bid with items needing to be picked up within two days after bid closing it leaves for transport type to pickup items
Bid on 2 tables. Watched the time go down. Outbid other bidder. Said I was highest bidder when time ran out. Somehow I didn't win the lot. It's happened before but still confusing. Thank u
I love the random actions
I was very pleased with the ease of bidding. I've purchased from several auctions, and whether picking up or having my items shipped, the process was handled quickly and smoothly.
Great Products, item have detailed descriptions, and many offer either on premise or 24 hour guarantee.
This is a wonderful way to sell a house full of belongings. It was easy and the auctioneers were extremely helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend them to others.
I had registered and bid and the next day it said I was not registered. I keep trying to re-register and it wouldn’t let me. I called Customer Service and they were able to rectify the situation.
Local reputation of the auctioneers.
The platform makes it very easy to view and bid on items. During large auctions, items placed into specific categories is very helpful and saves me a lot of time.
Offers auctions to my liking
I miss some of your competitor's features such as seeing real time how many bidders are watching the auction, seeing the winning bid prices including mine, knowing if I won an item instead of "May have won"
The auctioneer I follow changed to HiBid.
I have found so many great deals on HiBid! I watch for all the local auctions each week and can't believe how often I even find brand new items. It saves me a lot of money.

Got a little confused at first thought I was on the right page to bid on a item that I had the high bid on only to lose it because didn't tap on bid live once I got that straight it all went well just need to pay attention closer
It is a local auction
Attempted to increase bid amount when outbid but system would not activate further bids. Was able to watch other's bids but I could not get my bids to process. Frustrated as I could watch other bidders win the items and I could not participate
They helped me get registered but no return call from them on Friday late afternoon.
Seller was Elwood Auction and I was told to go through HiBid to purchase Corvette collection of parts
Bought a Coffee Grinder! Not a Ornament resembling a Grinder. Very Good condition? No grinding mechanism in the machine ( just wheel turning) says NO REPAIRS! The pivot cast iron hinge was broken and tried to be clued or JB weld together. Called Owner of the estate son Todd Barclay & Mr Plato and told them both about it and Todd said he was going to call Plato to get this resolved. Guess what all of a Sudden no one answers the phone. Plato 7 calls to him never picked up the phone. SCAMMERS! I will put on Facebook about this along with the description of the item plato put up with photos of this ferris wheel! NOT A COFFEE GRINDER With thd no repairs damaged areas. And im going to mention HiBid as well. Thank you for an enjoyable experience!
I Knew the estates owner! Was a friend of mine
When trying to bid up items 130 and 131, it locked up/ froze. I had to exit he site completely and re-enter twice before I was able to participate. I would have bid quite a bit higher than the closing bids for both items.
Familiarity
I've successfully bought many items from th auctions on hibid.com. The thing you have to remember is that you should always do your due diligence before bidding. Every auction has its own staff who enters the information and it can sometimes be wrong or misleading. For example, a stone bathroom vanity described as excellent condition when you can see in the pictures that it's clearly broken in half. The majority of lots are clearly described and well photographed but you should read the description very carefully as stock photos are sometimes used. Some auctions will quote a retail price for the lot but don't take it as the normal sale price. Do your own research to understand what a fair auction price might be. I've found that the quoted retail prices are inflated add lots sale for more than the currently available sale price. The web site is great, but the auctioneers who enter the data for the lots can have subtle ways to cause people to pay too much. You can almost always inspection the lot before hand if you have time so if you don't, it's on you if it turns out to be junk. I'm hooked so I'll keep buying. The deals are too good to pass up when you can recognize them and everyone else seems to miss them.
Single place to go for many auctions
In general I like using HiBid. I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars because while I know that the different locations run their own auctions (as in HiBid is just a service that they use,) there are some auctions that have very vague descriptions or pictures that don't match the description of the item being auctioned. Sometimes I have not bid on an item because I couldn't identify exactly what the lot was since the description and picture didn't match. But, that doesn't happen often and most auctions are clear and concise in their listings. In any case if there are questions I've found that contacting the auctioneer will get you a quick answer and they've always been very helpful when I've had questions or needed to point out discrepancies.
I feel like the added fees are a bit steep sometimes amounting to nearly 25% of the bid value for fees and taxes but as long as you're happy with the final price that's all that matters. I've found that you really need to check the listing well. Sometimes an items condition is described as "Excellent" and it's obviously broken in half and useless based on the pictures so read the listing carefully. Also when a lot shows a retail value it's usually been cherry-picked from the highest price you might find so as always in these auctions, do your due diligence and be an informed bidder.
I've contacted the auctioneer for issues in the lot listing or if I find discrepancies in terms/conditions or other essential information about the auction. They have always been very helpful or thankful for the communication.
I like to use HiBid because of the ease of doing business. It's more like HiBid choose me because many of the items that sell there are things I can use or sell myself.
I was bidding on an item and it just disappeared. I contacted the auction company and they put in a manual bid. Not sure why I could no longer see the item. Tried with 3 different browsers.
Getting use to how everything works takes some time but after learning procedures not a problem. Not sure why there are 2 tax charges in Brantford Auction.
Friend told me about it
We have had the BEST experience with HiBid - fun times from bidding to the pick-ups - it's been a great adventure! Treasures galore! And so easy to bid!
So many auctions to choose from with many near to us.
If these people are a part of your company, they are not honest. They sold my antique items and I never received a penny from them.We are on a fixed income and this hurt us badly. Please do not do business with them.
Tip for consumers:
If John and Misty Tadlock are a part of your company, they are not honest!
Products used:
They sold my antique couch and loveseat, buffet,3 wheel motor cycle trailer, Glassware, just to name a few items. Never received my money for them.
Very friendly and helpful staff at auction pick up. Everything went smoothly and I wasn't rushed. Took the time to chat & make sure we had everything.
Auction was fairly close & had a bunch of stuff that was of interest to me. I use max sold & silent bidders as well but have been experiencing difficulties with them at times mainly at pick up.
I used the app on my Iphone. It gets a little quirky with the top title bar moves down over the items that I want to bid on. It kept giving me error messages while i was bidding also. It also had issues going to the live bid screen and i lost out on an item. I know i should have bid early but kind of enjoy the last second increases. I was going to switch to the web page version but didnt want to lose time signing back in and searching for the item.
It has the auctions i can get good deals on. Overall a good site. No issues with payment or auction information.
Hi i won a few bids in one auction where i spent $200 bill, then i went to thier location and did not get one of my items, the most expensive item for $60 plus taxes and fees, because it was double bid. It was put up for auction twice and they told me the other winner in another auction picked up the other item first. I did not receive it and emailed them for a refund and still do not have a reply. The items i did receive one was broken earrings but was not in the bid description that it was broken. I just want my money back for something i did not get.
I purchased an item for $11, post purchase I am informed that my shipping is $60, but I found the measurement metrics on ebay from other sellers, amazon, walmart and various other resources to come to $35 max for the same exact item. The seller is saying the weight is 5lbs over what I know the item to weigh which adds the addtl $30. Why? You would benefit from requiring them to identify via a shipment tool that gives a good estimated cost pre bidding.
I thought it was a good sourcing tool but I have read that you only have a one way rating method which displaces your buyers if a seller wants to give them a bad note. I did not contact HIBID as I read online on reddit and other resources that you favor your sellers not your buyers so what would be the point.
Registering, bidding and settling my account are simple to do. Pickup is easy and organized. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. I have found some great values here.
I was starting out and everything was laid out simply and easy to understand.
