After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
I've tried to clarify with them about the change of date of the bedding shown and didn't get an answer.
The ending of the bedding seems manipulated.
The bidding site is easy to use and was helpful in making my first online auction an amazing experience

I have been using HiBid to purchase some things during these Wuhan Virus days. Las week I bid on an item with a somewhat high opening bid of $250 and I bid that amount and not a penny more, I figured if I got it at that price, great, if not no big deal. No one else bid on the item, so I won the item by default. When the auction ended I never got an invoice and when I contacted the auction house, Ancient Art & Antiques (aka Ancient Art And Antiques), they informed me that the lot had a reserve. This was not noted on the lot on the Hibid website. Many other lots in that particular auction had reserves, this lot number did not. Obviously, I can't force the auction house to comply and hand over the item, though I'm sure if I bid over the reserve price they would come after me if I reneged on my part of the bargain. So, they get the last laugh, except that I can warn others to save your time and money and spend it elsewhere. It is wrong to offer something for sale and then refuse to finalize the deal because you wanted more money for the item.

First off, I am an auctioneer who uses Hibid to conduct auctions. We are a reputable company that does our very best to offer items with accurate descriptions and photos. I see many negative reviews on here for Hibid, when these reviews should be directed at the auction company itself. I understand some reviews saying Hibid should do more to help resolve issues, but at the end of the day it is simply a platform to bring buyers and sellers together. Hibid can't possibly oversee every item up for sale or auction company that uses the Hibid platform. If you feel you have been taken advantage of buying an item or have an issue direct your complaint to that auctioneer. If you have trouble getting a response, take your claim to the state auction board depending which state the auction company is located in. If there is no state board, contact attorney general, BBB, leave negative reviews on that auction company's FB page or leave a negative Google review. Again, Hibid has nothing to do with an item sold that is not as described, or damaged during shipping, or other issues arising with a certain auctioneer. If you are not sure about an item, how to bid, terms and conditions, etc. call the auction company and ask questions before bidding. Stop leaving negative reviews for issues that is out of Hibid's control and understand how the process works. Also, we hate to leave buyer's negative feedback or disqualify a buyer from bidding, but sometimes we have no choice. We are pretty lenient as long as you pay and pick up. Even if you forget when pick up is or your card gets declined, we work with you. About the only time we decline is if you don't pay, pick up and you completely ghost us. At that point you leave us no choice. I feel some auctioneers are a little to strict. We have lives and get busy and forget things, a buyer shouldn't be penalized for that. I've let several slide for a long time before I ban, but at some point buyers need to take some responsibility also. We deal with a lot of headaches where if people would just read our terms and details of the auction, they would save a lot of time and headaches for all involved.
