After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
The flashing bid at the end of an Auction is very confusing. When you bid it moves you to another page
And then you have find your lot again to make your bid it should just stay on the same page.
Site locked up and crashed multiple times while bidding on items I was interested in buying. I missed the opportunity to make higher bids and lost out on at least two items. Very disappointing.
I’ve been shopping auctions on Hibid for years. The site is normally very reliable.
I enjoy bidding on online auctions I am always looking for certain items and try to get the items between 50 and 75 percent off. I don't always get what I initially wanted but always get good deals.
I have been bidding on HiBid for a while now. I like this one (General Wholesale in Clinton township) both because of the location and the workers are all professional and friendly. Also, they clearly mark the damaged areas in the picture when there is something damaged.
I had no issues with bidding once I found the auctioneer I was looking for. Main screen is a little too filled with "stuff", making the information I was looking for lost among the clutter that is not necessary.
Auctioneer uses your site
I contacted the auction service prior to bidding to confirm shipping and everything went flawless. Won three lots, invoice and shipping was simple and quick.
Do not bid if the company does not give detail information about an item. I.e. Stone size, carat weight. Especially if you're a novice and you don't know grams. Items can look bigger in pictures. Send auctioneer questions.
Very good platform, ease of bidding fair prices.
The person in charge was helpful, kind and approachable. Everything was organized and clean.
He could answer any question and was calm always. Thank you.
They were the ones handling the auction.
I have bought many items from several sites on here and have got great items and service on them found items that could not find other places. And most auction sites do shipping.
Found items that couldn't find other places for a good price.
Count down to 2 minutes and i started bidding. The auction then jammed my account and i couldnt bid. Screen greyed out alittle and bid button became useless. This tactic is done at another major auction house to stop other bidders. Its too bad for the sellers. I will not buy from this auction again. Bought one small item but didnt get the cargo trailer.
One of the biggest sites for online auctions
I bid on a delivery xpress but received a statement the delivery fee was x /mile. Why do you auction delivery services but then charge extra for delivery. I've also mentioned twice now that I'll pay by cash/check upon pickup of items. It just doesn't seem to cross into who's responsible for seeing this but it's charged to my card before I pickup items on Monday.
If you inly have x amount of money to spend, you can bid that much and hope to win your item and it’s fun to watch the live, online auction. I’m calling Mon before my pickup appt. To see if my messages got across. Corbin is not far for me to drive.
I had been wanting to try bidding on this site for a while now, and was pleased with how it went. The technical aspects take a little getting used to, but overall it went well.
As a newbie, I had some questions about the process and I received very prompt and helpful responses.
I was interested in the art auction.
Would prefer to bid near closing time from my watchlist to avoid sudden shifting in screen position like happens with Live View but overall a very good system with minimal, if any, issues
Variety of items and generally a very good experience with the auctioneers I've used.
After I wasted a few hours watching, waiting and bidding I seemed that I won a few items. However when I contacted the auctioneer about pick up, I received an email saying that actually it was a glitch on HiBid and the auction was postponed blabla bla!
So I wasted my time and didn't won anything, total garbage!
As s first time bidder after a few minutes of going through everything process was easy to register. Bidding was easy, following close of auction was fairly easy
Contacted to see about paying cash, quick response satisfied
After searching for auctions on internet chose this one had auction near me and items I was interested in
I literally had to be logged in on my laptop and on my phone cause website on laptop would keep freezing up and would pick and choose what items I could bid on and when.
Local auctioneers have mainly went to online aictions
A few weeks ago, I had some issues with refreshing and bidding was interrupted. I haven't had a lot of problems since then, some minor refreshing issues.
I didn't see any other option to bid on the auctions I wanted.
I'm not sure what caused the site to go down, but it made the entire experience a bit confusing. It's the first time this has happened, it may have been the cause of losing an item I was interested in. I didn't receive any information on if, or what, I had won in a timely manner, for this auction, in my opinion. I can't say I would never use HiBid again though, overall I've been happy.
I didn't receive any notification that I won, or what I did win, as quickly as I believe I should have. I was concerned about driving to the site only to find out that I didn't win anything.
Very interested in some items from auctions. I first used HiBid because it was the only option to bid online.
Was great experience. Happy with way things went! I'm very happy with the way things went! Thanks for the opportunity. Am eagerly waiting next auction!
Past experiences!
Had a lot of glitches through out auction 7 which required refreshing the page do to lockup which took roughly 2 minutes before able to bid again. Would like an email sent when I have placed a winning bid, not just when out bid. Had to call auctioneer to get invoice with pickup location address.
Auctioneer switched to it.
Hibid Auctions are pretty easy to use. Make sure to read the specifics of the auction company you are bidding through and everything should go smoothly.
A local auction used it
I bid paid for and scheduled with no problem, untill I went to pick my stuff up. Was told they were having an issue with the scheduling computer. I waited 1 1/2 hours for my stuff to come out
They told me they didn't know how long I would have to wait
Great deals first time I really had trouble
My first experience was not the best, one of my items didn't have half the hardware to put it together. I double checked and it was not mentioned In the description. So that was my loss.
A friend recommended it.
During bidding on three lots, the server error appeared on my screen and then I lost one of those lots! It took three tries to get back in and several items had closed during my attempts. It is not my internet service causing this error, this said the server was too busy! Maybe time to upgrade?
We have several different estate sales companies that have moved to HiBid rater than having in person, too many people in a home, and of course theft. This auction platform provides an excellent opportunity to still have an estate sale, and with various pickup times there is not a need for multiple people to be on site at one time. It is less stress on the seller and the family having the sale!
I enjoy using HiBid. It is so nice to be able to browse days in advance, and add to watch list the items I am interested in. I have never had an issue with HiBid itself.
A number of years ago, an auctioneer I knew starting selling on HiBid instead of in person. He told me about it, and I have been hooked ever since
I found that as I was searching an auction, I would suddenly find myself in some other auction. I did not ask to go to another auction, I just found myself there. As all the pages are identical, I not only found this confusing but annoying and frustrating.
At the end of the auction, I tried to get back into it to advise I wanted to pay by EFT and that I required shipping. I could not find a portal to get back into THAT auction. Every heading was generic and with no specific location. I decided to just wait for the auction to contact me. I'v still not been contacted but it's only been about 12hours. I have no idea if they are expecting my contact but, if they are, I have no clue how to contact that particular venue.
Had the bidding process been the only criteria, you would have gotten 5 stars but the confusion and frustration caused by the not knowing in what venue you were in and how to get back when you finally realized you were not where you were wanting to be, totally took any pleasure out of the experience.
Although the service rep could not provide an answer, they did respond in a timely manner.
When I looked up the item for which I was looking, this is the one that came up. I hit the link and found myself looking at what seemed to be a straight forward sight.
Got a couple cars off Gary's, worse mistake I've ever done, they sold me 3 cars and they posted them as clean title, but when you go to mvd they tell you that Gary's makes there own titles and change stuff on it, don't do business here
