After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
Difficult to use. Not enough filters for searches. Need to tighten up quality rulers of sellers on watches. If watch has been modified with non manufactures parts it must be disclosed. The argument about Lexus car tires is bull.
Trying it out.
Periodically (about 40%), going to "Live Bid" experience network disconnect, or less often, unable to access live bid, at all, requiring bidding using the catalog itself and watching closely the 60 sec. Refresh.
This occurs when using an Android phone. Typically not as bad when using a PC.
New to this, have not yet explored other options.
I've never done an online auction before, and I'm still trying to figure it all out however, my experience was good. I kind of enjoyed bidding against somebody I wish there were more in my area. I especially like the future where it says shipping available or no shipping. For a first time, it was very easy for me.
I Actually found HiBid Off of a craigslist ad for Corbett, auctions here in Idaho

See above!
Upon recommendation from Great Southern Coins out of Texas.

Explained a lot of the things that I added to the above comments and 2 years later really no upgrades.
Not many other choices.
Great variety on site. Seems there was a glitch with my last bid where an item was won then somehow flipped. Otherwise always good experiences. When bid is live noticed it now refreshes multiple times so I'll have to go into current bids if I want to track my selected items. In past did not have to do that and if something caught my eye that I missed I could bid, now it's harder.
My auctioneers have been wonderful and resolve all concerns in a fair and diplomatic manner.
My daughter's boyfriend introduced me to the site. I've been using it for awhile and it saved me a lot of money. Allowed me to get things I may have otherwise not been able to afford. I love the variety and simplicity of the site.
I made bids on 2 lots. The seller charged my card immediately. Fine. But they are sitting in "You may have won this auction " status.
The auctions terms and conditions say nothing ships till an email is responded to, no email sent to me.
So here I sit out 200+$ and nothing to show for it. Auction closed 10/5 charged 10/5
I thought it was a legitimate auction site but not looking that way.
I have bid on many auctions, and for the most part my experience has been good. However there are a few auction sites that sell "sterling silver" and ".925 silver" inaccurately. Once I bid on and receive precious metals as gold or silver, I acid test these items to make sure I am receiving real gold/silver. I informed one auction house and they were so happy I notified them and also did their own acid testing. They are now dealing legally with the individual they purchased the items from.
Another auction house - Think Pink Marketplace also sold me a bunch of said sterling silver rings which I tested. The results were not as such. Even the metal was a bronze color when scratched. They were rude when I advised them of this. It took me some time and persistence to get these items refunded to me. I will never purchase from that auctioneer again.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback.
I was not able to get through to anyone online. It was not easy to contact someone. I even cc’d HiBid on a few complaint emails to auctioneers with no response from HiBid.
Found the sight online while searching for estate auctions.
The last auction sent me an invoice that I downloaded but it doesn't have a link to pay. So I guess I will pay in person. Also contacted them for date and pick up time and got a voice mail instead of online scheduling option.
I bought a Massey Harris 44 online 4 hours away that I would not had seen and had the opportunity to bid on without high bid putting the list of auctions together in one place. The auction company was great when I arrived to pick it up as well. Overall just a good experience.
I chose to use HiBid due to its ability to collectively list so many auctions that would normally be outside of my normal scope to make purchases and doing so in such a way that they are easy to navigate. The ability to filter out searches to exactly the type of items you are looking for at the time is a great feature.
I love this site because it allows me to bid on items from the comfort of my home. All the information necessary is in the auction site along with pictures and descriptions. Online auctions are fun and interesting.
This is an excellent site for finding auctions near where we live.
It's a great site, easy to use for the most part but wish the pictures were bigger. I dislike when it decides to refresh during the auction as that can take awhile and I've lost out on a purchase during that time. Compared to other sites it beats them all hands down.
Changing my password and a bad experience with an auction company. In both cases they walked me through what I needed to do. Very helpful and friendly.
Putney Auction told about the site during the pandemic. I checked it out and have been a faithful follower ever since.
Deciding on which auctions I wanted to view was easy. First I only watched some items and returned a day before the end and entered my bids, it was exciting to see how many people were bidding and for what amounts
Seen an email one day and tried it
I purchased a large baseball collection that Included books of pages, all full of old baseball cards, after further Inspection, It seems as If the books were picked through and cards that were supposed to be In a lot of those pages, had been recently removed. The longer old cards are In the protective pages, they adhere to the plastic to where you have to use your fingers to carefully take the cards out.
Once again, It seems I was duped.
I think I will think twice when purchasing any auctions.
My last bad experience with this same company was when a priceless brooch I had purchased had got damaged due to carelessness.
I enjoy auctions and good finds just as anyone does.
I bid based off of my location, Indiana. As I'm watching the auction for items I bed on, they are saying May have won. I don't understand what that means, and when I looked up the contact address, there is an out of state address, though it originally gave a local zip code. I tried calling the number and it doesn't ring. I sent an email to the auctioneer, but I haven't gotten a response. Please help. 🙏🏾
I haven’t been contacted yet, Ave it says $2 per minute for emergencies.
I recently started buying from the auction, and I like it!
We picked up at seller. Wonderful people to work with! Extremely nice & helpful. They had our items pulled & ready for pickup. They do also pack & ship. Said if we needed anything they were there to help. Will buy again 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Advertisement caught my eye of Fenton for sale 👍🏼 I signed up on Hibid, they send email notifications.
This is one great improvement for auctioneers, getting bids from all over the world sometimes, and it's all online, less employees, less back breaking work, and nowadays more money……
I love the site myself, credit card submitting can be a pain sometimes but it's all in the day! :)
As a bidder everything was great. It gives you a chance to review items and watch to see how others are bidding on those items. I also had some items in the auction. Although I wish they had gone a little higher, I was satisfied with the outcome. All together it is pretty exciting watching down to the last second to see if you won or got out bid.
I enjoy bidding online and the auction house I usually use, (which is associated with Hibid) is about 3 miles from my home. Which makes picking up or dropping off items easy.
Duane,
We're happy you won twice! We are glad you found bidding with us exciting and that you were able to you won lots easily.
Thank you for using our platform!
Happy Bidding,
The HiBid Team
I thought the process was very clear and easy to use. I would like to see better specifications on the items. There were several mirrors I was considering but had no measurements. Will be a repeat bidder, overall a really good experience.

HiBid is interesting. In the 3 years I have been bidding, I have learned a lot. I never bid on anything over 25 miles from me….I refuse to go farther, or pay shipping. I no longer "chase" an item, I place my bid and that's it.
One issue…on my last bid, it said price realized, This auctioneer before always said "won", if I had won. So I'm a bit confused.
It’s easy, been using for 3 years. Has most of the auctioneers in my area.
Be sure yo research the items you are interested in. It's very helpful. Using this auction site is very easy. I find it helpful to mark favorites to watch, but like watching the catalog mode during the suction.
Used a different hibid in the past.
I have been buying at auctions for some time now. Registry/Bidding/closing/watching/ search have all been quite easy.
The vendors policies and pick up procedures are an absolute nightmare?
Only some have proper working schedule booking! No contact numbers for support? It is pretty terrible when you want to arrange pickup in their short window timeframes?
While I bid on about 5 auctions on HiBid a week, 99% are great but the one issue I bring forward has yet to be dealt with. I was promised a call back by a manager more than 2 months back now and nothing yet.
I still have not got a call back from a manager related to a auction company issue I brought forward. The issue is still outstanding and a threat to HiBids reputation also as the auction company is giving HiBid a bad reputation.
HiBid has been the top auction site I have used for the past several years. They consistently have some of the best industrial/commercial items up for bid and have been a big part of getting my hobby shop kitted out with quality equipment. The registration and bidding process is straightforward and easy.
They have the best selection of items up for bid and I can almost always find something that my wife is telling me not to buy...
Hi David! We’re so glad to hear that you’ve had a great experience with HiBid over the years. It's wonderful to know our auctions have helped you build your hobby shop. Thank you for your continued support!
