Still cannot understand bad reviews. This is my latest experience. I purchased a 1200mm Corsair shipped from the EU warehouse in their recent sale, price about £70. On building I discovered the motor was faulty and immediately submitted an RMA at the same time contacting the customer support via email.
They offered to replace the motor with one from stock but is was not an exact replacement. Having discovered that the original spare was available from a Chinese source l rejected the offered replacement and requested the correct spare. The response was to let me purchase direct from China and reimburse me in full including the shipping cost via the Hobbyking points system. All this was sorted out in four days. Naturally I will continue to be a well satisfied customer with now over 100 orders for planes and parts.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. I really hope consumers read this forums before ordering from Hobby King. They are the worst in customer service and their "support" via chat is slower than molasses. I placed an order for 3 batteries on a Saturday, Come Monday I got on the chat trying to request a tracking number. They informed me my items were in stock but as the site states the orders will shop within 48hrs. Not including weekends. So I waited until wednesday (about 72hrs later) and got back on the chat. Again, they told me my order was gonna ship today! Woo-hoo! Wrong. By Friday I was furious and I ended up cancelling my order, again via chat. Because there is no phone number available. So today, 5 days after the refund was requested and NOTED on my account there is no refund. Do yourself a favor and go to other sites, there are plenty!
Well I received a defective turning 2.2 3s battery. Submitted photos as requested that clearly shows only 2 cells connected/working. Not even an acknowledgement that item is being reviewed. Nada, zip, slant, doodly squat. It is an inexpensive $20 item but I doubt I will order anything from them again. Customer service is abusive and/or nonexistent.
Have received the Yak 12 that Hobby King had on sale. Only problem is it came with a 4 channel receiver! With the Yak 12 advertised as having flaps which it did, it neds the 5th channel! Have started the process to have them ship. Me the corect part so will wait and see how that works out! Not impressed so far with the hassle to just fill out all the required info!
They suck - ordered a plane it came damaged waited a month for it - we then contact them only tobe told they want photos - sent them and since then no reply we now have to go thru paypal to get our money we will never ever do business with them again
HobbyKing order may take months to deliver. I ordered items that were shown to be in stock and made payment immediately. Next day one of the items was shown as back ordered. My order was not filled. Ten days later the item was shown to be back in stock and my order was sent to warehouse. Unfortunately the other two items I paid for were now back ordered and the shipment was delayed again. Bottom line ordered 7 weeks before Christmas and HK was unable to deliver.
NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Unfortunately the lowest rating I can give this company is one star. Once they have your money you can forget about any type of reasonable behaviour or customer service. You get nothing but poor or no response from them if something isn’t correct. Don’t risk it to save a couple of quid. Buy from a reputable dealer. If you don’t believe me just read other people reviews.
I ordered an item that went to the global site and was told that the item was shipped. I attempted to find shipping status several times and even after 10 days there still is no tracking information at the site they link to my order!
Another order I was charged for and told would be Fed ex and it came USPS!
I have placed 16 orders without any problems however one of the orders that there was a problem with turned out to be a nightmare for me that has yet to be resolved.
I order watermelon - hobbyking ships me a grape. Hobbyking says "ship back grape we ship you watermelon". I say "grape not worth shipping, I do hobbyking favor and agree to buy grape and have hobbyking give me back watermelon money".
Hobbyking keeps watermelon money and gives me grape money and closes claim.
So I now have grape that cost as much as a watermelon. I dont even like grapes.
I have a online store and always shopping in HobbyKing, and never they disappoint me. Just than you have to be patient. They have RC equipment than in any other store, you can not find. So, I will giving 5 stars wherever HobbyKing is
Answer: Hi. I live in the UK. I would never use hobbyking again. I never got my stuff took 3 months to get refund. Take your money and then they don't care
Answer: It all depends on the Bank that you. Plus check on why it took the refund. In fact, the refund is quick from an average of 3-4 days. Actually just given extra time for both the seller and the Bank. And accordingly, if the seller has constant operations on a refund, this has a negative impact on the company's rating for the Bank. Especially if there are disputes between buyer and seller. From my experience, the returns are realized in several ways: 1. On credit card 2. On account on the HobbyKing website. 3. Or product if not reached or was spoiled. Damaged goods was a couple of times, and some of the delivery services. Overall, the problems with the refund arose. Sorry for bad English.

Answer: In all honesty, I think it only means they got your money. That's all they seem to care about. I've been going round and round with them saying my order is complete when in fact they still owe me about 70% of the total order. They refuse to split the order and I'm tired of arguing with them. From some of the other reviews, it sounds like it's their method to start the clock early on the return policy. Regardless of whether you have actually received the item or not, the return policy starts when they say the order is complete.
Answer: PS Peter, I am assuming you mean the 1400mm EPO Flybaby? If it's the balsa 1350mm model I have no idea as I have not owned that model. Al
Answer: Hi Peter. Unfortunately I don't have the FlyBaby any more to check the battery bay I can however tell you I used ZIPPY Flightmax 3000mAh 4S1P 20C@ 139x46x25mm. A larger battery will fit but IMHO you will probably be better off with a 2200 to keep it as light as possible. Al
