So this was my first time there, I usually go to Michael's or Joanns, only because that's what's close to me, but they didn't have what I needed, and Hobby Lobby did, at a lower price too! Couldn't find Sculpy glaze gloss anywhere, but Hobby Lobby had it for $4.99 verses Michael's $6.49, or Joanne's $6.49, or walmart $8, so I'm one happy camper.The employees were very helpful, and very nice, it's my new fav store.Please open one in Palm Harbor or Tarpon, you guys are killing it..
I went to hobby lobby today off of 95th Kansas. They had Clarence on paints. The little orange sticker in front of all these different paints so I picked out two of each color of 20 different paints I get up there to pay for them. Then I realize some of them did not have the stickers but most of them did. And the month without the stickers they would not sell to me on Clarence for cashier even told the manager that it showed stickers on every item back there on those kind of paints and the manager said I don't care she's not going to get them for that price. I said can I take you back there and show you and she just grab the paint off the counter she goes you're not going to get them and walked off. And I had two colors it was the exact same color purple two of them one had the sticker one did not and she wouldn't let me have them. I will never walk in that hobby lobby again
I waited in a long line to purchase my items. My items were on sale for 50% off. I asked the cashier, "These are 50% off right?" She responded, "Yes." Then she rang me up and I said, "Wow seems a little high? This is with the 50% off?" Again she said, "Yes." I paid and looked at my receipt right there. There it was all regular price. None of it 50% off. I asked her and she told me to hold on she needs to help the costumers in line first. I waited in line again. Then she said, "Oops I guess I forgot to push the button. I can't do returns here you are going to have to wait in that line over there." Of course that line was really long. I asked if she can walk over there to see if they can help me seeing how she just made the mistake and I already waited in line two times and now she wants me to wait in line three times. She said, "No," and then ignored me. I am so furious. They treated me horribly. Never again will I shop there!
Today I was at the hobby lobby on Rte 248 in Easton the store was crowded a lot of lines and I had a return so I had to stand in a long slow line i feel the lines would move quicker if the store had scanners as well as the cashier picking up speed this the second time I went to this store and the checkouts suck! And also I had to stand in line for 20 minutes to watch a cashier chewing gum like crazy! Not good customer service!
My wife went in to hobby lobby on 8/24/23 to buy grime for photos,and had to use the restroom.
As she went in the restroom a female employee ran in on her to find my in the stall to use restroom.
Our daughter was outside waiting for her Mom to come out and a male employee came to her and ask" is that your boyfriend or your husband that went into the women's bathroom.
She told him no that is my mom!
As my wife came out the male and two women was telling ladies not to go in the restroom because a man was in there.
Management was not concerned at all about this.
NOTE:my wife is battling Brest cancer and has very little hair. This store is on max leggett road in Jacksonville Florida.
If you are fighting cancer do not go in not hobby lobby they will embarrass you and embarrass you family.
I've been apart of this company for 3 years and I do not like the discrimination against black people. The white people always take the good stuff and I always have to fight the old women for the good stuff. Like my butterfly planner I got just a while ago. If you are that old lady that I snatched it from. I really like the planner :). Also the fairies are very racially motivated. You guys expect me to buy only white fairies:? There are black fairies too yk. It's 2022 and you guys still don't have respect! That's not cute. I always have to say they are albino. I don't always want albino fairies. Sometimes I just want midnight black chocolate fairies. Big purr.
I want to recognize an outstanding employee of yours at the Bluffton, SC location, Carol Ovens. On Nov. 3rd I frantically stopped by the store to pick up replacement buttons for an outfit before heading out of town. Overwhelmed by the button choices, I looked for an employee but non were available. Carol, noticing my afghan, commented on its beauty and asked if I had made it. Responding no but that I was looking for replacement buttons, she immediately picked up my afghan, asked if she could help me, then proceeded to located the perfect buttons. After a few tries, she located the PERFECT button, which was far more complimentary than the one I had picked out! What makes this encounter more remarkable was that Carol works there, but on this particular day she wasn't scheduled to work but was shopping on her own! I am thankful for Carol! She went above and beyond, knows a lot about fabric and sewing and has an excellent eye for coordination. I wish all employees were experts like Carol.
I love Hobby Lobby but Can you start selling gemstone chip beads? I made a tree of life with those and I had a friend help me put it on a silicone phone case with super glue. She sent me home with the rest of the super glue that she had. It was half a tube. She took it home with her and she glued it on. I took it off because it was over to the side a little bit. I glued it back on and it seems to stick but I still need more super glue. Anyway what this has to do with the tree of life phone case is that it is sticking for now but I'm worried that it's going to fall off now that I took it off. So I might need to start over. Which I need more gemstone chip beads. Can you sell them in 5-8mm and 2-4mm. That would be very very VERY helpful
I went in to return an item. I had the wrong receipt. The salesgirl was snotty and rude and treated me like an idiot. I wanted to purchase the correct item. She told me I couldn't go through the store with the bag. When I went to leave she then told me I could leave it at the front desk. I said thank you and left. She continues to talk to me as I am leaving. I'm now on my way to Joann's fabric to spend my mo ey there instead. I will never go back.
I really liked this store. Even though everything in it is cheap junk. I realise that now, and I'd rather have quality items. But aside from that, the president of this company is a terrible person. The products from Hobby Lobby are mostly good quality. I ordered some cute hot cocoa smores ornaments to add to our Christmas tree this year but turns out they were WAAAAYYYY to heavy for our tree branches!
I called customer service and they told me that I would have to pay the return shipping to get a refund or if I wanted to go to the closest Hobby Lobby to us which is almost 1 hour away we would only get a gift card and not the money back onto our card! That makes no sense! I won't be shopping Hobby Lobby online after finding out how their return policy works! Bad business!

This sale leads many customers into a trap because we miss their tiny prints that is very important.

I am/was an employee of the distribution center. I was in Tulsa today and tried to use my employee discount@ 51st and Harvard location and was told without my check stub I couldn't use it. My pay is direct deposit first and foremost nor was ever told by anyone including where i usually use it in okc ok. I felt very discriminated against and literally resigned from the company. Try employing people who aren't racist

I could not say how their custom framing staff is trained, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it is not specifically with any type of needle work, to include cross stitching. My finished product had been clumsily placed in a slanted position, and when I brought it up with the staff member I picked it up from, I was brushed off with the typical, "I'm not the one who worked on your project." When I attempted to resolve it with a manager, he stated that he didn't know enough about cross stitching to be of any assistance. So, I was left to call their corporate office and was directed to speak with a resolution specialist named Melissa Spratt. She responded that there was a message left on my work order that read, "Artwork had been handled by the customer." Which only left me scratching my head wondering... how many pieces of needle work had they ever framed that was not handled by the person who stitched it? (Sorry that I cannot add photos; I returned the piece for dismantling and my money back).
When I got my mirror part of it was broken. I call the online order department they fist said to take pictures and email them and I did. It took about 3 days for respond from them. Lobby hobby online said they couldn't see my emails so I resent the pictures again so I waited another 2days but I decided to call them before the third day and they said they still did not receive my emails of the picture of the mirror broken but anyways I will never ever buy anything from lobby hobby online bad service they never gave me back my mirror they wanted me to send it back which I think it was OK to do but I had to pay for the return it's a mess be careful you guys buy things online from lobby hobby I think they did it on purpose so they don't send me my mirror instead they offered to give me a 10% of my broken mirror and I did not get my full refund
How about a 10 item or less line! I needed some orange cones to caution around a hole made by the city until they fix it and have to wait in huge lines to buy 4 cones.

Answer: Unethically legit. HL really needs to evaluate their own marketing plan and step up their hiring practices in addition to stop buying B2B products from outside mass production sources. At least look at the quality before sticking and reselling total garbage. And ask yourselves "why are our employees so miserable"? Unhealthy culture = unhappy customers.
