I like Hollar.com, I get what I expect and the shipping is fast. It's like a slightly more expensive dollar store, so you should manage your expectations ordering things like electronics, larger storage items, or clothing. Things I've ordered only include small organizational/storage things and minor craft items. Nothing you couldn't find in a Michaels or Target and have to pay 2x as much for, so just use common sense. Quality to be tested with time, but you could say that about almost everything unless you are willing to shell out big bucks for simple household goods (for that go to Crate+Barrel, Container Store, West Elm whatever). So far everything I've received have been great. I don't have to go to multiple stores to spend hours browsing for things I need/want, a simple search bar eliminates time wastage. I also like how easy it is to use the site, and the simple check out process. It's pretty intuitive.

Avoid at ALL costs

I ordered 33 items from them 3 weeks before the holiday needed. My shipment never made it to USPS. I waited 5 days until finally someone replied back to my email and told me it was shipped- it wasn't. I spent 6 days going back and forth about my shipment when low and behold, my order is now missing. They ask me if I want them to send half my items they have available since the rest sold out or if I want a refund. I said a refund as the holiday is in 5 days and I knew I wouldn't get it in time. They issue me a credit! Who in their right mind would order again from someone who loses 33 items and can't even fix their mess?! Now it's another however many days until I get a refund back to my card one way or another. DO NOT ORDER! Horrible customer service, cannot get their $#*! on track and uses the absolute slowest form of shipping possible.

We're terribly sorry to hear that you did not receive your order, Whitney. Unfortunately, we no longer have the control over the package once shipped and once it's considered lost, the best that we could do is issue a reshipment or a refund.

Time frame for order: it took 9 days to send a shipping confirmation and then they informed me that 2 of the 4 items I ordered were no longer in stock. Then, it took another 8 days for the 2 items to get to my home. Total wait: 17 days
So, not impressed with the service or delivery time frame. The product is fine.

Very Happy

Lots of Hollar haters out there, but I'm certainly not one of them. Very happy with all of the items I purchased, out of the 42 items I ordered, I was only disappointed with one item, and I decided to keep it. I stay away from the "too good to be true" stuff and can tell which of them is going to look cheap. Even though the haters are saying it took forever to receive their orders, mine came a day earlier than expected. And I was able to track it the whole time with information that was frequently updated. Guess everyone is spoiled these days with amazon prime. -_- needless to say I just placed my second order and CAN NOT wait for it to arrive!

I placed an order through the Hollar website on 4/4/17 and got a Woo Hoo confirmation email verifying the order was received, then another email from Gino on 4/7 stating, "Hi Heather, Our fraud prevention system flagged your order. In order to protect your account, this order has been canceled and the payment method voided. Please allow 3-5 business days for the transaction to be reversed into your account." When I call the Hollar Support Team to find out if there was an issue with my credit card, I am told it could have been a variety of reasons why the order was flagged and cancelled without even trying to verify anything with me, a customer residing in Detroit, MI. However, none of their excuses are possible except that they have the order coming from Detroit, which they apparently have flagged as a fraudulent city. The representative suggested I might try using another credit card, but there is no issue with the card I used. I've lived in Detroit for over 40 years and never had an order cancelled before because of the order's city of origin. Hollar can holler at somewhere else to make a sale, because they won't ever get a penny from me.

I placed my order over a week ago. When I placed it I was told to expect my items in 7-10 business days and that I would receive a confirmation email when it shipped. I still have not received a confirmation email stating that it has shipped. I need it for my niece's birthday party and according to their site I ordered it well in advance to be able to gift it to her......now it seems like it won't make it to me on time. Very disappointed.

Where do I start

To sum it up, I just sent them this email...

To Whom It May Concern,

Back in November, I order a few items from your company. I am a regular, loyal customer who has purchased many items in the past. I have recommended you to friends, family and co-workers. With this last order, I was missing the "Light Up Love Box". I immediately called customer service and was told it would be shipped out right away. Two weeks later I received this "Love" box. As you can see from the attached photo, it is clearly defective and would serve no purpose as it is not even a word. I am extremely unhappy with my last experience with Hollar and very disappointed. I have never had an issue shopping with you in the past and after all of this I am not sure if I ever will again. Please kindly refund my $5.00 and take me off of your email list.

I've placed 3 orders with them and all have had zero issues. Customer service is beyond amazing, items are super cheap, and items came packed well. People complain about the shipping time but it says right on the site that the free shipping portion is 7-14 business days, and 90% of the negative don't give that amount of time. I will be a future customer with Hollar and recommend it to all my friends. Please keep up with the wonderful site and keep getting new products in. =D

Good stuff

I placed an order because I saw cloud pets for $5.00 each and grand-kids have split home. They loved them since then I have made 5 more orders and have been pleased with everything. Quality good prices excellent. I shop some local discount stores and found Hollar cheaper then them. My last order was slow to ship but I am not complaining.

Cheap stuff

Wallet was very thin fake leather. Broke trying to get credit card in slot. Lightup pen didn't work. Gus's I should have known at a $1 it just cheap stuff at cheap price.

A friend and I started ordering from them back before Christmas and we are thrilled with eveything we have gotten so far. 6 orders and counting. Get selection of items, quality stuff not junk. Shipping is not as bad as some people seem to think it is. Free shipping so I can't complain. We love Hollar and are constantly looking to see what new things they have that we just really really need. Lol Take a chance on them, I do think you will be very happy!

Wow! I just discovered Hollar & boy do they have some great deals. I jut got my 1st & 2nd orders & am waiting on about 8 more! I have spent $500 there so far, & I think I am addicted, but I know I will be getting some great stuff. I ordered 10 of the Lori Grenier pillow trays that they had for an unbelievable $7 each... one for each of my family members & they are super high quality. Sure, the shipping is a little slow right now, but be patient & you will be rewarded in the end. Where else are you going to find a deal like that? It is a little frustrating considering that everyone is used to Amazon's 2 day shipping, but for deals like that, I will wait. Love you Hollar!

I had placed many order with hollar in 2016 (June, July and August) and loved the products, shipping was also fairly quick which never happens cause I live in AK.
Now, they don't ship to AK or HI due to "shipping cost" story of our lives! I find it very unprofessional too go from shipping to not. Most Alaskans don't place small orders, exspecially if shipping is free with orders over $35 (I can personal say I spent over 150$ each order). That's huge too use, when we normally have to pay that much alone in S&H anyways.
I hope hollar fixes this ASAP! I was very pleased otherwise

Headphones I got only one side works. Recliner cover doesn't fit like it is supposed to. The reason I gave them a 2 is the pen works! I would not recommend Hollar!

Bummed! I filled up a big cart only to find you can't buy if you live in Alaska. I would understand if you can't ship (unfortunately that happens a lot) but you can't even purchase if your credit card address is Alaska or Hawaii. I was going to buy and then ship it to a relative. Called customer service and they said they can't do anything since the states scroll doesn't even have the option. Can't order over the phone either. Not really a fair practice for all of us Alaskans and Hawaiins. Hope they fix this.
