I am glad I contacted HomeLight. They connected me with a number of great agents. I would not of known where to start picking out an agency. They made the process easy. I would definitely recommend them!
I was searching for help in selling my home, and HomeLight sent me a great agent, they were available to answer all my questions and ultimately helped me achieve my goal!
The agent that Homelight helped me find - the Kevin Corcoran Team (Re/MAX of Gulf Shores, AL) - turned 8out to be great. The process was very user-friendly, Homelight followed up with me several times to ensure I was happy with my selection, and once the sale of our home was completed, Homelight followed up again to congratulate us on the sale. I recommend Homelight without reservation. If you're looking for a real estate agent, Homelight's service is an excellent way to find one!
I am amazed at how quickly and easily my home sold after I contacted Homelight. I had a second home that needed to be sold, but I didn't look forward to the hassle of listing and selling it. My daughter had told me about Homelight, so one evening I went to Homelight to check it out. Almost immediately I received a listing of suggested agents. Within an hour I got a call from an agent, Teresa Points, who was not on the list (my house was slightly outside her primary area) who was eager to meet me and see the house. We met the next morning at the house. She was prepared with comps and a potential buyer. I was impressed with her optimism and professionalism. By that afternoon she brought me an offer that was close to her estimate. She taught us how to "sign" documents via the internet and made the sale of the house the easiest I've ever experienced.
Homelight contacted me to make sure I had found a realtor and that things were going smoothly. I would certainly use Homelight again and recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell property. I DO recommend that you contact multiple agents on the suggested list.
Tip for consumers:
Contact several suggested realtors and do not think that the top rated is best for you. Be open to other agents contacting you who found you on Homelight.

Used a realtor found through Homelight to sell a house.
I did write a review but do not see it. I would not use any realtor from this site. She was purely political and was rude and insulting. She demanded to know why I had nine realtors from 2013 to 2019, have an vacant acre and have a house on an acre each I have listed separately. I asked her for the names of the realty companies she was referring to since it was not my history. She refused to give me the nine she was alleging I had used. I felt as if I had to explain myself to her, very disrespectful. She has high sales but my opinion of realtors with high sales is they sell under price homes. When I sent her an email asking again for the nine she was referring to so I could check the history for any future realtor contacts she threatened me saying she would report me for harassment. Really, quite a player, Obviously talked to last realtor who had referred unlicensed felons to do work and damaged my home and then brought low ball offer on my acre. I refused to negotiate, and she got angry and resigned. Something strange as thread of texts and email file disappeared, then comes this one from HomeLight with insults. She seemed upset when I told her the realtors partner who does unlicensed home upgrades and had three assault felonies, one with a deadly weapon, suspect she hired him to do some work. The attitude just too out of the blue. So who knows what goes on behind the scenes. I am 77 and do not deserve to be badgered. Do not like the idea that you give credit for good reports for your referrals. Not getting undeserved recommendations. Numbers do not tell the tale.
After several very disappointing experiences with local realtors in years gone by, when it came time to sell our home where we had lived for ten years, my wife and I decided to check out HomeLight after hearing an ad for the service. After all, what did we have to lose? We received an immediate response from HomeLight with profiles of local realtors who come highly recommended. We chose Jennifer King because of her experience with properties in our immediate area which has notoriously been out of step with the rest of the country. Wow! We were blown away by her competence, personal attention, and especially her responsiveness in communicating immediately with us whenever we had a question. Within three days we had two great offers which were far beyond our expectation. Of course we chose one of them and the process from there on in was every bit as smooth to settlement with Jennifer at the helm. Kudos to HomeLight for helping us find a top-notch agent like Jennifer. We certainly would recommend HomeLight to anyone and everyone buying or selling real estate.
Sincerely,
Roger L. And Phyllis Wambold

Reluctantly I filled out the form online only to be contacted by five different realtors who asked me again what I was looking for wasn't that the whole purpose of me filling out my criteria do you guys even vet the people that you recommend it doesn't seem that way it seemed like they wanted me to spend time chit-chatting with five different realtors to find out who I thought would be the best fit but I thought that that's why I went online to HomeLight. And then this industry wonders why they cut each other's throats when there's absolutely no loyalty it should strictly be the person that contacted me first that I feel like is confident I give them a shot and if for some reason I don't feel like there are a good fit then I could seek out the help from somebody else I don't want five different people running up my search criteria and wasting all of their time and my own you guys totally missed the mark on this one a complete waste of time.
This review is about HomeLight Simple Sale product. Their team members can't agree on the process. Every person tells you something different about how it should work. They made an offer on my home and wanted me to sign the deed over to them and have it recorded a month before paying me for it! Then they changed their tune after I threatened to report their deceptive practices to the Department of Insurance. After that they decided to charge me closing fees and HOA docs fee on top of me giving them a 10% concession on the price. They do not put earnest money in escrow and they also use their in-house escrow so that they control whether you get paid or not. Escrow is supposed to be an independent unbiased third party to ensure integrity. Not the case with HomeLight, who is the buyer and also the escrow company, so they take your deed and record it, and become the owner, but whether they pay you for your property or not is uncertain because they are not a legitimate third party, but rather a department of their company under the same umbrella. They also tie you up in a contract so that once you realize they are trying to defraud you and try to get out of it, they slap you with all kinds of penalties for not going through with it.

Not recommended, seems like a scam

He who has the most $ wins and Homelight and their STINKY TV ads have a ton of dough. They are a bunch of vultures. Do NOT use them! Plus there are ZERO Google reviews about Homelight! Which tells YOU they do NOT want Google reviews. So there they are!
Tip for consumers:
They are stealing commissions from local realtors.

I am on the East Coast and my father is on the West Coast, I found HomeLight on a Sunday morning and within hours I had at least 8 Californian realtors contacting me. I went with Mason P from Wheeler Steffen Sotheby's, he fit my fathers needs and was very easy to work with. I would not have had the opportunity to work with Mason if it had not been for HomeLight.
I responded to one of their emails, saying that they would estimate the value of my home, After I entered all of my info, they responded with a span of $195K to $351K! Then when I got a call from them, I told them I didn't want calls from them anymore (if she wouldve of asked why, I would have told her because here company is deceptive in their marketing) She said don't fill out the estimate form again if I don't want calls,. Then hung up on me!
I don't know what part of "I CHANGED MY MIND & DECIDED TO GO A DIFFERENT ROUTE SO PLEASE STOP CALLING MY HOUSE BECAUSE YOU WILL ONLY BE WASTING YOUR TIME & MINE" that they don't understand but OMG they just will not STOP CALLING MY HOUSE! If & when I do sell or buy, I will NOT go through these people because they obviously don't LISTEN!
I have nothing but good to say. My house was sold fast and for more than I expected. Any issues that may have happened were resolved fast and efficiently. I would without a doubt recommend!
Homelight is quick to respond, tell you the process, send realtors/investors your way but NOT ONCE DO THEY TELL YOU THEIR RIDICULOUS COMMISSION PRICE! The realtors laid it out about their cost. But homelight doesn't tell you anything about the thousands they are gonna take from you for a 10 minute phone call.
They stayed in touch to be sure things were progressing and I was was happy with my RE Agent. They offered help with moving, no hard sales for additional services and no spamming me.
During my search for a listing agent for the sale of my parent's home and the suitable relocation of my sister and brother in-law, I interviewed several agents representing various realty companies, however I did not feel comfortable until my conversation with "Mr. Lee Wasserman / Bergen Basin Realty. Lee was both patient and thorough in defining the two-prong process, the sale of the home and relocation of my relatives. He went over the Comparative Market Analysis in determining the best listing price, Lee coordinated everything efficiently and offered recommendations and referrals to established professionals as some repairs were necessary in preparing the home prior to being placed on the market while at the same time vigilantly searching and finding an apartment for my love ones. The task was slightly unusual in that the home is in a different state than the resident state of my parents and myself, Lee was responsive to all inquiries while always demonstrating courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Nothing but class, A Sincere Thank You "Lee."
I am not sure how I originally heard about Homelight, but I'm so glad I chose to start my home buying process here. I entered what I was looking for and they matched me up with a few different realtors. Once I received the recommendations I cross-checked the suggestions by doing a little more research and realized Homelight had provided some good realtors to choose from. Before I had a chance to pick from my short list a Realtor from my list contacted me via text. I set up a phone call and that same day I was already reviewing houses on MLS site based on exactly what I was looking for.
My realtor was knowledgeable about the market and area I was looking in. I was able to lean on them for questions and concerns. And they really helped make the buying process as stress-free as could be. They went above and beyond my expectations with every aspect. From meeting with me during the limited time I had available to really knowing exactly how to get everything I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. And they were always available and quick to respond to any questions. If I wanted to see a house they would make it work to get to the house as quickly as possible so I could decide if I wanted to pursue it any further.
Overall I would say start here with Homelight. There are so many realtors out there and Homelight will match you with an expert for whatever suits your needs.
Yes the 24/7 Team was amazing. HomeLight was amazing.
I was under a lot of pressure and time constraints as when I decided to sell my home using an agent I found your website. Never used HomeLight or even heard of HomeLight.
Google introduced me.
I thought let me give it a try as it supposedly gives me agents which I needed help with and I didn't want to just call the nearby agent.
I got a call from Jayne a couple hours later. When she called I said I fly out on 2 days can you come by. She said how about tonight. I said sure.
She showed up professional and friendly and we immediately got a gameplan together in a day. They came up with a price and did an open house the day after I flew out. They sold my house in hours. It really impressed me and I was so grateful to have them and HomeLight and 24/7 on my side.
The service was smooth and very professional the entire way.
24/7 Team was such a pleasure to work with and I can't thank HomeLight enough for using such great analytics to connect me with them. I believe we will stay in touch as well.
I'm thankful Google and I'm thankful for giving HomeLight a try.
This company advertises that they match you with industry leaders, which is a flat out lie. This company is just another lead generation business for agents. The ads they run claim they match buyers and sellers with "top" agents in their area, based on a number of things, like sales volume, sales price, negotiator, etc. When I went on the site looking for a listing agent I plugged my info in and submitted and was given a list of some agents. None of the agents were in my area, had any sales experience in my area and were not even top producing agents in the area MLS at all. None of the agents they "matched" me with were a good fit.
I ended up going with a agent that listed and sold a house down the street. That agent is a local professional who did know my area very well and was not anywhere to be found on Homelight.com.
After some digging I discovered that Homelight is just a lead generation service for agents. Agents sign up with the site, and homelight feeds the agents leads, if/when the agent converts the leads into a sale, the agents pays Homelight for the lead. The agents they push have nothing to do with being "local experts" or "top agents". They're just paying to be listed on the Homelight site.
So in short, if you want a good and knowledgeable agent look for signs in your neighborhood or get references from friends and family for good agents they've worked with that are PROVEN, not from some site that is pimping agents just for paying for the leads.
HomeLight made the whole selling process painless. I received 3 offers the first day. I would recommend HomeLight to anyone looking to sell real estate.
It was not clear how my information was getting provided and when i was questioning how the service worked when i received a phone call the rep was rude and hung up on me.
The turnaround time from my first inquiry was outstanding. The realtor that was referred was an excellent match to my selling needs. The realtor reached out within an hour of the match.
Homelight was my lifesaver my house was on the market with another agent from a national brand 6 months no success I decided not to renew for a 3rd time got a new agent via homelight TOPNOTCH house had a contract within 21days of relisting I was skeptical regarding using this platform to obtain a new agent, I made an Amazing Excellent choice I unequivocally without reservation recommend use of this platform it was no haggling they vet the agent Only TOP performing Agents with a PROVEN track record My agent never had ONE open house but arranged showings very methodically This platform is the way to go if you don't know of an agent Don't be fooled by other nationally known chains I give homelight ten plus Lucas was Amazing my husband and I grilled him in an interview prior to using him so professional very thorough he impeccably executed everything to the minute and most of all kept us informed on every level and was always prompt in meetings
I am so grateful that HomeLight provided the recommendation for Bahareh Kamoei. She was quick to respond and offered professional advise on pricing and prepping the sale
Don't response and never made a official offer just ask for info and stop replying Bill is totally unprofessional and untrusted just use a trusted realtor much better

Recently, I needed to sell my home in Ohio while I am living in South Carolina. I had no idea how to start, but I saw a commercial for Homelight, and decided to reach out to them to see if they could help me get the ball rolling.
First, I couldn't believe how quickly I heard back from Homelight by email and phone, I swear it was within minutes of being on the website. I was a little overwhelmed actually. Then I heard from two relators just a bit later. I ended up working with Mary Pat Castleman from Huff Realty. She was amazing. She was honest with me about the current state of Cincinnati's market, and that of my old neighborhood where my house was. She gave me information about sales in the area so I could have a realistic idea of how much to ask for my house. We discussed everything and I had complete confidence in her advice. She also made an out of state sale so incredibly easy. Even in the midst of some personal difficulties, she never stopped working for my sale. I am so grateful for her expertise, advice and guidance. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell in the Cincinnati area.
On a fun note, I knew exactly where her office was, not far from where I lived and I remembered her name from sales signs when I was there. She knows the area and the business!
As I begin a rental search near Athens Georgia, I plan to use Homelight again.
Thank you so much Homelight!
I would rate the realtor and Homelight to zero stars. I'll use realtor instead of the real name because I don't want the person to get any shine from the truth I'm saying about her. There were request I asked the realtor do (example is an open house) and the realtor refused to do. There were discussions of getting a contractor to do work and I found a contractor to do the work and the realtor did not like how the contractor did the work. The realtor only took showings from brokers and no one else.
The realtor would quote me for services way above asking rates (yard work) and wanted the work to be done by the realtor's clients at a high price. I wanted receipts for services the realtor did have done (with my approval) and took days to get. The realtor was upset because I wouldn't sign a addendum (fix a sink) that I already said I wouldn't sign due to the buyer wanted me to agree to something I wouldn't do. The realtor text said "Because you never signed it in the first place and as many times as I tried to have you do that you wouldn't do it but yet you fixed everything on there". To me that's unacceptable. All of this for a $20 Amazon card and numerous spam calls and text asking for another person.
Tip for consumers:
Look at all the negative reviews about the realtor. If it's all 5 stars, that's a red flag. No one is perfect. Record whom ever calls or texts about selling your home or other homes and report to your state's attorney general. More than likely your information was sold. I have been getting calls for home I never owned or about my former home.
