I have been running my wordpress blogs (3 blogs) with Hostforweb for about 4 months. They offered 30% off the price coupon code in the beginning of Autumn, 2014 - I decided to catch that opportunity and saved good sum of money for my future project. BTW, their customer support was very helpful in transferring my files (blogs) to their web servers. I also got Private SSL and 1-year Domain Registration for free. They have manage to keep my site running smoothly even when it has grown 5 times bigger than it was with the previous hosts and, I must say, always with excellent service and response times. Their plans' capacity might not be amazingly huge, but it's reasonable and fair. I recommend this web host, at least I know that my website hosting is secured for years to come!

“Can a Crooked Web Host Company Hold an Online Business Hostage?”

Yes they Can and It's Happening to My Mother's Real Estate Company Now A crooked Web Hosting company can, at any time, claim that you are spamming and suspend your website or blog so that it is not view-able online by anyone. A crooked Web Host can prevent you from retrieving back up files of your website or blog to prevent you from moving your website or blog to another web host. In fact that is exactly what is happening to my mother with her real estate blogs right now. The crooked Web Hosting company I am referring to is: HostForWeb https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=hostforweb We discovered over a month ago that they had suspended our real estate blogs. We then contacted - and asked them why they did this. They claimed that we were using the blogs to send spam, which of course is ludicrous. The reality is that our site was hacked into because they were unable to protect our blogs from hackers. The hackers then proceeded to send spam from our blogs. But HostForWeb did not care about reality or the truth, they just ignored all of our emails and all the support tickets we opened to try to resolve the issue. They had no desire whatsoever to resolve our pressing problem. We had a Live Chat with one of their employees and he told us that since we had an ongoing support ticket open, that he could not help us and that we had to contact their support ticket department. But their support ticket department had stopped responding to us and still does not respond to our messages to this day. We then called - on the phone and spoke with an employee (he had a Russian accent). The customer support employee assured us that he would un-suspend our blogs, which never happened. I then emailed the president of HostForWeb and so far, he has not responded. So the bottom line is that HostForWeb is punishing us for their inability and failure to protect our blogs from hackers and they are in effect, holding our blogs hostage. We are losing potential website visitors and real estate clients and we are losing the confidence of our existing real estate clients, and very possibly losing real estate sales, due to their actions and refusal to resolve our problem. We spoke to HostForWeb and told them that we would like to access our blog files on their server so that we can move our blogs to another web host; they have not responded. But they have sent us a new bill to renew our service for another year with them. When we ignore their renewal emails as we try to resolve this problem that they created for us, they then threatened to delete all of our blog files that we have hosted on their server if we do not pay up soon. Our blogs that they have suspended that are inaccessible are located here: http://honoluluhawaiihomeinfo.com http://islandhawaiihomes.com http://hawaii-real-estate-roundtable.com So again, a crooked web host can, at any time, hold an online business hostage and create lost business, lost sales and the loss of confidence in the business from clients or customers. And they can even delete all your online data if you refuse to continue to pay them for their mafia like crooked services. So choose the web host company you hire very carefully.

Hostforweb used to be OK 2 years ago. The competence level of their staff is now no better than mine - and I have no idea how servers work. They suggested internal transfer when I received several notices that my dedicated server was compromised. It has been 12 days after they initiated transfer and I am still experiencing problems, receiving from tech support contradictory answers

No long history with these folks yet however I must make these observations because fair is fair: I and some others were forced to change hosts due to our host went out of business. I went with Hostforweb based on the number of positive reviews from users. Hostforweb reliability and support have been flawless. I have not had a single issue.

Immediate account setup and I had a number of questions that I sent via email and they were answered precisely, accurately, logically and in easy to understand terms in less than 15 minutes every time. So far everything is good... if it changes I will post again but for now I and my 8 customers in the USA are happy.

I found Hostforweb to be very helpful and competent in answering any questions or making changed to my site. Admittedly I am only hosting html based site, but have a steady flow of visitors, who extremely rarely report downtime.
I use them for my web and email hosting and they have been very reliable with nearly no downtime since we've been using them.
This service allows for easy setup of websites and emails, modifications, and monitoring through their control panel user page. Online explanations of features and instructions are clearly written.

Very Good Uptime, Great Support, Good Features. No major problems. Very professional staff.

I must say after switching to Hostforweb I have never been happier with my hosting. This is just awesome! Since the time I switched over to Hostforweb I have had no problems at all. Knowing that I can access this level of technical support, I am very pleased to have chosen their hosting service over the competition.
So far The uptime has been better then they say it is and I've had nothing but the best technical support from them.
I just wanted to submit this review hoping other people who are in the same position I was in awhile ago will find it and know where to go for good quality hosting.

I have had HostforWeb for many years. Their service used to be spot on and very good. But the last 2 years, there have been a few hiccups with their service. Even so, I was loyal and stuck with them through these times. BIG MISTAKE...

But this last week has been deplorable. It was bad enough when their tech support told me that there were 5400 help tickets open and they had no idea when the issues would be resolved. But the final straw was being screamed at and hung up on by their so called tech support. Their low level tech support reached a new low when they screamed at me for asking if they could tell me what number in line I was for help. Really?

So I have moved my 100+ websites to a new company. The migration was easy and their tech support even responded to all of my questions. (kind of a shock after the week from hell we have had experienced with HostForWeb).

I would avoid this company at all costs.

After browsing all the hosts available on the net, Hostforweb seemed to have the best prices for the best services. So, I decided to give them a try. I'm so satisfied with this host, my business now has grown rapidly, I have a different hosting accounts with Hostforweb, and everything continues to be smooth. For any help or issues I have, I can count on their willingness to go the extra mile just to ensure I'm happy.

Site is extremely fast to load and has had almost perfect uptime.
The features they offer are nearly endless, and their customer support is simply outstanding.
9 out of 10 is my final rating of this web host.

Hostforweb rocks, because they helped me with my issue I had with my emails. To be honest I did not expected to get answer from them so fast. I waited for about 15 minutes.
In a few words I have to say they are great provider. My site as well as my emails is very fast. Support works very fast as well. So, taking into the account their price I have to say that I'm working with one of the best providers.
Keep such a good service!

It was a good hosting provider, but nowadays nothing is working out anymore: live chat, ticket system, CPanel, etc. They also migrated my server without my previous knowledge, and now I'm getting a downtime on all my websites. No end of year holiday for me.

I switched to Hostforweb after a bad experience with another host. I paid via paypal, everything went ok. They have several affordable packages and have generally been very good to me. No downtime, speedy connection.

Everytime I got some questions, I ask them online, no waiting times, there is always some one waiting there online to help us, it's just amazing. Good support information including knowledgebase and regularly updated system status.
Their plans are quite cheap when you figure what you're getting for them.

I really recommend this company. I am planning to use their reseller package for a long long time.

Amazing. Would recommend these guys to anyone. As a small web design company our last hosts caused us no end of grief, but they've been brilliant - easy to set up. They have great customer support. I had a couple of questions during the initial setup, I received very quick and informative responses from the staff at Hostforweb, inc.

I love the prices. The server was down for about 15 minutes one month. That's pretty good up time!
As far as the up-time. It is very good. I have monitoring software for keeping up-time statistics and so far the up-time is unparralled.
I am very happy with their support and i do recommend them for anyone who looks for the best web hosting provider.

Real uptime last 24 hours (monitored by 3rd party - paid service) - 91%, average response time 11.10s.

And these are good numbers, because personally I can't access own sites - just not loading.

Maybe they are still good (I've been using their services for at least 5 years), probably my fault is 1 year payment. Since ~ 6 months are still remaining, support ticket remains unsolved/open for at least 2 days.

Will leave 3 of 5 rating, because they were really good in the past for me. Right now must move all sites from them asap, or will have more loss.

Can express the point that Hostforweb is awesome, the support is professional when they aren't being asked any newbie's questions. The price can't be beat, the Control Panel is really easy to use. The site has always powered my web site with ease, no matter how much burst in traffic i get, it still runs very fast.
Uptime since I moved has been 100% and the server is always fast and stable.
It may be $12.95/month for business pro plan, but for this kind of service, i will gladly pay it.
My site it ultra-fast these days and I'm a very happy customer.
Back to my experience with Hostforweb for last couple months - I would say you can rely on it.

This past 6 months have been challenging to say the least with hostforweb. They change upload limits. How did I find out? They blocked my IP. So I changed everything to their new limit ONE file at a time... Yes ONE. But that wasn't good enough. At least twice a week I'm calling to get my IP unblocked. Even if I don't upload I still get blocked. The clearing at least was easy until this time. It's been 2 days of one person just not knowing what they are doing. They used to have great tech support and great features... Now not so much.

After "maintenance " on dic 2017 all the service go down, no support response, no solution, when i ask a refund
They shut down 3 vps,, lost all data, tons of money and clients

Technical support has no clue how to handle issues. You call the number and the rep cannot do anything but to open a ticket. Dumped them and moved to another top host; couldn't have been happer
