Hulu has a rating of 1.6 stars from 1,175 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Hulu most frequently mention customer service, credit card, and free trial problems. Hulu ranks 225th among Streaming Movies sites.
Hulu is a fantastic streaming service with a diverse range of content, including current TV shows, classic movies, and original programming. The ability to watch new episodes of my favorite shows shortly after they air is a major plus. The ad-supported tier offers great value, although I wish there were fewer commercials during playback
I've tried most of the movie sites and Hulu is by far the absolute worst. The website itself is slow and difficult to navigate. Their disabling of right-click makes it even worse. Movies stop at random places to load, ruining the continuity of the movie. And trying to skip ahead or back stops the movie outright for anywhere from several seconds to half a minute. You can't even pause a movie where you want because of the delay. Subtitles are out of sync with video on most movies. You have to pay to watch the movies, and then pay again if you want to watch them without ads. Even the free bootleg movie sites work better than Hulu. I tried their free trial so at least this poor experience did not cost me anything.
Constant buffering, repeating live tv to the point that it is completely unusable. We went through all of the troubleshooting and nothing has fixed the issue. Sorry, goodbye Hulu Live!
"Would you like to see a show with all your commercials? FUGETABOUT IT!" A 30 minute show is, almost, an hour long with all the ads that Hulu inserts. I try to watch a show while I am having dinner, but I'm through with dinner before the show starts!
Jesus mf Christ, this has to be the worst mf $#*! I have ever used AND PAID MONEY FOR. You $#*!s are scammers. Jeez I mean no one can figure this stupid $#*! site out! I just have the biggest need to tell you how bad it is your like a Walmart vagisil compared to the real $#*!. You suck your like bing vs google, you mfn suck. I mean your like Hulu vs Netflix! Gtg ttyl
Most of us try to keep track of all our favorite movies and TV shows but sometimes it's very difficult with most of our busy schedules. Netflix, Hulu and Sidereel are three of many sites that allow us to track the things that we want to watch. Watching our favorite videos online saved us money and time. We can watch something faster online since there are less commercials (usually saves about 15 min.) it's also cheaper than going to the movies or renting a video for a night. Using these sites we can watch them from anywhere in the world at a convenient hour.
Hulu is a fantastic website since it lets us watch our favorite show the very next day. Hulu is updated every day so we don't have to wait long to watch something. It's about six dollars a month so it's pretty affordable. But I hate the fact that we have to watch the commercials (even when we pay). The movies are not updated often so most movies that are available are old. This website is good to keep up with recent TV shows and for that I would recommend this site.
They have a eye strain setting that you can't change with out stopping the show! And starting it over every 15 min! And it can't be reset? And it is so dark you can't tell if it's day or night what color clothes the people are wearing! And I'm PAYING FOR THIS CRAP! HULU SAYS THAT THEY CANT HELP!
Tip for consumers:
They are a joke!!!
Even if you pay for the commercial free option you still have to watch them. Lots and lots of them. Hulu also freezes quite a bit. I do not think it's worth the money.
It's okay for the ability to see some of the broadcast shows that Netflix and Prime don't offer... but you still can't see some of the need to see shows like NCIS and CSI... maybe it's just the way CBS rolls.
I never really write reviews but paying for Hulu has got me frustrated on another level
Fix your website. I will be canceling until you figure this out
Not worth my money right now
Hulu charge my account twice and don't want to pay. They did not want to take responsible for that. Talk to about 3 reps to get it resolved was not done, so if you have that issue just know that you will not be refunded for any charge. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I was double charged by hulu & telling me coz i have accidental different email which is a lie
I think they r saying that to avoid the 1 yr refund

Don't waist your time with this! User support couldn't figure it out and we are frustrated! All other web streaming on our Apple TV works FINE except Hulu. No ready for prime time!
Cluncky, ugly, obtrusive new format. No more picture in picture and the customer service rep tried to pretend like they don't have a 1 1/2 star rating on App Store.
Hulu has rude customer agents. On 2 occasions I have been almost reprimanded for lodging complaints. The 2nd time I was even reminded that I could choose to go with a different service :(
BUYER BEWARE! Wish I could give zero stars. Constantly freezes up or "issues loading". Sometimes it would be hours before it would start working again. Customer service tries to blame your internet connection even though ALL of my other streaming services work just fine! AMAZON OFFERS MONTHLY PAYMENT OPTIONS NOW! SOOOO MUCH BETTER! AND NETFLIX IS DEFINITELY BETTER! I cancelled my hulu subscription and also got LOTS of family members and friends to do the same! Including my employer! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND HULU TO ANYONE! There are too many other reasonably priced great streaming services to have to deal with the horrible service from hulu.
I wouldn't even say its cool anymore not after what they are trying to do. First you start a free service then you go off starting a monthly plan service called "Hulu Plus." You're kidding me right?
Wayyyyy too many commercials. Cannot even enjoy a simple episode. I thought cable was bad, but Hulu is up there with them. I have streaming apps to avoid commercials
What a disappointment Hulu is. I refuse to pay monthly for a service that continues to throw ads in my face. Get smart Hulu! That's why people like Netflix
Disappointed in the abnormal amount of technical difficulties, constant trouble shooting, etc. I cancelled my subscription due to this.
Never had this much trouble (actually no trouble) with Netflix.
The latest Hulu's app or version is terrible and it's grid layout is a nightmare to navigate. Sometimes simpler is better. Could be a game changer for us. SAD
Hulu is a great site to watch some of the most popular TV shows, all kinds of clips, some bad movies, a bunch of commercials, and nothing from CBS. If you are looking to watch movies you should consider Hulu Plus or Netfix, otherwise, it's a really good website.
I'm getting tired of every time I got to watch something on Hulu it either freezes on me and skips ahead or even stops playing in the middle of the show saying an "sorry an error has occurred while streaming this video. We apologize doe any inconvenience" for the price I pay I shouldn't be having this problem and I paid for this instead of Netflix because it had more shows I watch than Netflix did but at this point I'm thinking about going back to Netflix cause at least I didn't have such an issue like I do now. No it's not my wifi either because I've taken my laptop where they have really good wifi with no problems and I still get the same issue I shouldn't have to deal with it
The ONLY reason I'm still paying Hulu, using their streaming service is because they are the only service that provide the shows I like. Netflix used to carry a lot of them (Archer, It's always sunny in Philadelphia, South Park. Etc.) but for whatever idiotic reason, they decided to stop letting us stream that online. Prime sucks even more. Hulu is the only one that carries these shows but they make the whole streaming experience worse than being stuck in an elevator with Al Gore for days. I can't stand them, it's the same kind of issues, time after time after time. No matter how many times I report it, how many times others report it and complain, they refuse to fix their issues.
And when they changed their user interface. God, I didn't know they could suck even more, on top of all the recurring issues.
Constant problems that won't allow streaming.
Autoplay is a joke, it works maybe 30% of the time.
User interface sucks.
The one thing they needed to do, was allow streaming. And when that's the main issue. Then what good are they?!
If only I knew somewhere else where I can stream my shows with less problems than Hulu, I'd drop them in half a heartbeat!
It's nice to have access to some shows that aren't elsewhere, but there are a lot of commercials. Also, never use the "Put your subscription on hold" feature unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you're going to come back at the specified time. They don't give you a reminder that you're about to start getting charged again until AFTER they charge you, and there doesn't seem to be any way to even contact customer service about asking for a refund if you want to cancel immediately.
It takes atleast 4 to 5 times for me to get logged in. Constantly says error, can hardly ever watch shows that I like because of errors or reloading issues. Get stuck, volume goes out, or I'll start to watch a show, and next thing you know, it's not even in the category I found it. ALL of my other streaming apps work VERY WELL WITHOUT ANY ISSUES AT ALL. So I know that it's not my internet service, or my t. V. Hulu sucks BADLY
Awesome free site for watching shows and clips from NBC and FOX - This site is f*cking great. You can watch full episodes for free of Arrested Development, SNL, Family Guy, 30 Rock, and tons of other shows and clips. The site is clean, fast and the videos are high quality. There are some ads before shows, but they're not bad.
