In less than a year of using Ibotta I have earned over $500 dollars. It's easy to cash out your earnings, set up your shopping trips either in store or online. I don't know why anyone would not use this program. Great care and response from customer service. It's $$$ in your pocket for buying brands and products you use. Try it!
My Winn Dixie card doesn't link with Ibotta! I've tried all suggestions such as removing the card and then adding it back to no avail. I usually have to take a receipt picture which is almost impossible to capture correctly. Very frustrating since I purposefully buy certain items for the points.
Missing cash back seems to have become the Ibotta motto. Once again I have purchased items, submitted the receipt with the items coming up as on the receipt, but when the receipt is processed I get a reply saying cash back offers not found on receipt and no cash back is added to my account. I then submit it for review to customer care (but they don't), I include pictures of the item and circle or draw an arrow of the item on the receipt (which the receipt spells out the item & describes it entirely), only to get the same reply… upon review no items were found.
Then I submitted a Walmart grocery receipt for an any item offer - and it came back no items found. What?! There were three grocery items purchased and the offer is for the purchase any item - how can 'no offers be found'?!?!

After they told me they reviewed and found no offers I asked them to look again and resubmitted the pictures of the item and the receipt and then I got no response whatsoever.
I am questioning this myself. Have been doing Ibotta since they began, but lately they have declined in both how their app functions and in customer service. Other apps are now way better (Fetch, Receipt Hog).
Most times when I need help from a company I swear it feels like a lbout a week before I get a response from a real person. Ibotta doesn't work like this. I was sick communication within 24-48 hours. They explained the answer to the question I had. They were clear and concise. I rarely need to chat with someone at Ibotta, but it is comforting to know that they are there if needed and they quickly resolve issues.
I understand there have been issues lately with the Ibotta app linked to certain stores and Simone took care of the problem I was having. Thanks Simone!
I saw a store sale on this butter and at first when I put it through self check out it didn't register so I asked the employee and she put it through for me. I didn't realize that ibotta also had it on their list. It was a super surprise value especially since so many groceries are so much higher in cost lately. Thank you.
Seems to work but not perfectly since as just one person I don’t buy a lot of food that qualifies.
I did Not realize that when you shop ar Dollar General that if you opt to use coupon only then you lose out on Cash back with Ibotta.
However if you use coupon and Dollar General cash back you receive both the savings.
I wish i knew that ahead of time since I was expecting $6 or more in my Ibotta account, instead I lost the cash back from Both instead of just Dollar General since Ibotta won't do cash back if you use there coupons.
Still Enjoy the App and now I know and hopefully this helps others :)
I recently posted a review that i thought was a conversation. NOT A REVIEW and i am sorry for that. I was confused with the email I received because I thought it was done(My case/Issue).
I inly found out about the mistake because Ibotta reached out concerned about my Issue and not the review.
Up to this date I HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD things to say about this App and i felt it to be my responsibility to own up to an error.

Anytime i have a question they are very quick to respond and answer(even if it is obvious) without any confusion.

Where to begin. Well they are extremely organized and fast. Being human I make mistakes especially coming back after so many years. They catch it and explain it so I don't do it again(very much appreciated). The app actually allows us to try new things and some of our favorites. Literally so my shopping list with the app. Makes shopping a little more fun— it usually is NOT. One critic would be to have phone # for help, but you can easily navigate to the answer on there site or the community of users. I could go on but you've probably stopped reading by now. Hope it helped :)
Emails got confusing and spoke to multiple people via email and just got confusing. Everything worked out eventually and the people I did communicate with were extremely pleasant.
Today like everyday but even more so EVERY PENNY COUNTS. Getting. Little back for. Long way.
Simple and easy! Loaded the two free cheese offers from Meijer's, confirmed the UPC codes were correct on app, uploaded receipt, and a couple hours later had my $8.57 rebate.
Can't beat that!

Very occasionally there’s been an issue with a rebate. I contact the help desk and explain the issue and it gets resolved.
It’s been quite a while since this has happened.
Easier to use with fewer restrictions than other cash back apps
I love Ibotta for their variety of offers and bonuses. The app is straightforward and easy to use. There is occasional glitches with getting credit for offers completed. Scanning to verify eligibility is a great feature.

I enjoy the savings. Also enjoy trying new or different products.
I take a few minutes to check off items I might buy, and then see what is available instead of my regular brand. This way I get to try new brands, and I earn money back from Ibotta.

Had a couple of minor issues with not getting rebates. Customer Service responded quickly and a satisfactory result was achieved. Any time I've had an issue I have had exceptional service
I submitted a receipt with 4 of the same items on it (limit 4). I requested all 4 for a total of $16. I was only granted $4, even though the receipt clearly showed 4. This is the second time this has happened on an "any restaurant" submission. It is very frustrating to have to continually follow up and make things right.
I sent an email for my missing $12. It was corrected the next day.
Purely to save $.

I missed cash back on my previous on-line shopping order. I emailed Ibotta, and by the next day they had sent my cash to my Ibotta account! I've been getting cash and gift cards back from Ibotta, just for taking pictures of my receipts and shopping online for well over 5 years, probably closer to 10!
Many many times, Ibotta automatically scans and offers rebate for an item on a receipt that isn't appropriate. It can appear the buyer tried to gain the rebate, but there is no way to scan an item on a receipt if you didn't purchase it. Many error rebates attempted and then reversed. It's very frustrating.
Again, the receipt can be very clear what was purchased and many times you email back and forth explaining something so evident. Lots of wasted time for the buyer. The receipt scan system should be better

I made the call to contact Ibotta cause I had not gotten my visit recorded neither my cash back at DG. The rep Justine was just super helpful My issue got resolved and I got my cash back as Ibotta promises! I love Ibotta! What I loved the most was how he explained to me how it was fixed and how to prevent the fix!
I love Ibotta because it saves me money. I find what I am looking for. I scroll thru the list of products and check off what I would like to buy. It gives a nice selection.

The only problem I have with Ibotta is the receipt is scanned too quickly. I had a long receipt and not all was captured.I couldn’t get back to take a picture of the rest of receipt.
First off, thank you as always for your help! Sometimes I will get a snarky person who just doesn't care to help and are pretty rude...but 9 times out of 10, they are understanding if I read the small print incorrectly. I don't know why buy my linked accounts are not automatically adding my offers when I purchase them so it's like every single shopping trip lately I have had to write in. Ted, who I had today was awesome and added offers manually...thank you Ted! 🥰
My experience has been easy and extremely helpful. The app is really easy to use and it explains the deals. The barcode check feature is the most useful to me to ensure that I'm buying the right products.
I purchased California grapes. I submitted my receipt, but Ibotta didn't accept the grapes. I was unable to proceed because this particular packaging didn't contain a barcode. Not fair!
Chat bot. No resolution to the problem.
To earn cash back on items I planned to buy anyway.
I go through the tedious process of checking items on the list so that Ibotta doesn't take my accumulated cash. I could have gotten the same cash through Walmart but chose Ibotta instead. It doesn't credit them, sends a tiny credit is email, then sees what's missing and sends another email telling me what to to to claim the here unidentified missing items but the category I am to look for in the app doesn't exist "on the app go to 'my earnings'". There is no "my earnings". No Walmart transaction no place to submit. It's not worth this tediousness to fix Ibotta's mistake.

This has been one of the easiest and most reliable cash back apps around. Thank you for making it easy to earn while doing what I do anyway. Keep it up.
Simple to use
I've used Ibotta for years and find that they always have items for cash back that I'm already buying, so I'm not usually going out of my way to buy different brands. It's a great way to earn some extra money and all you have to do is upload your receipt. If you use it as frequently as I do, it accumulates pretty fast. I've never had any issues and have recommended Ibotta to people many times.
