Ibotta

Most of the time it works great, but occasionally I misunderstand a product and do not receive money back.

I've tried using Ibotta twice, pickup shopping at Walmart. First time, half of the items were acknowledged and showed up on my Ibotta account, but the other half did not register. I contacted them, sent them a picture of the pertinent part of the receipt and explained exactly the amount they still owed me. That wasn't good enough... They wanted pictures of all the purchases, pictures of the upc codes and the complete receipt. I decided it wasn't worth my time to jump through all of those hoops for $4.50 in rewards. The second time I used Ibotta, I did not receive any rewards $ at all (maybe 3 or 4 items). Ibotta is a total waste of time and a definite pisser.

I tried ibotta but quickly discovered I could NOT buy anything I don't need or want. I deleted ibotta from my phone only to find out they are going to charge me for not using them. Don't do it! Don't get suckered in by them. I tried to find a way out on their site but its like Ground Hog day. They make it impossible to opt out. No customer service to talk to. Very frustrating!

The receipt clearly showed 10 yogurts purchased but i then had o manually scan each container and this happens more often than not.

Several problems with this app and horrible customer service. They take forever to process your scanned receipt and then they say they are expired. You have 7 days to upload your receipt and did it within that timeframe but they didn't process it until 48 hours and said it was expired. I've emailed a few times now with no response. Ridiculous and a waste of time!

I forgot to add this cat food to my Walmart receipt but Ibotta found it for me and gave me the $3.00 credit. They are just the best.

Customer Service found my cash-back deal that I missed. Every dollar helps these days!!

Ibotta customer service team should be trained in the art of good customer service. If you're employed by Ibotta I would ask upper management to look into a course called Success Sciences.
My experience with the customer service team unfortunately was very untactful. My issue was resolved. However the mishandling of a good customer has left me with negative feelings moving forward I would not use their services.

Ibotta use to be great. They always had bonuses for doing so many offers, now you're lucky if you even get a bonus. The offers almost always reset. But now they do not reset. I don't know what's going on with ibotta. But they ain't like they use to be

I started using Ibotta when the TikTok coupon bug bit me. I didn't really know what I was doing and when they deposited a few dollars into my account for signing up. And then I didn't think much of it because I needed $20 to cash out and thought, "lol that will never happen." Ummm, I was wrong. It's only been a little over a month and I've made $50 by literally buying only things I need. If I wanted to be extra and make all of these deals happen then I would have a lot more cash in my account, but I value being married This isn't a scam, it's a great way to add back a little of the money that has left your pocket. I find that I get the most cash back at Walmart, but I use Ibotta at Meijer, Dollar General, Family Dollar and Walgreens. I also always check it before making a purchase from a random online clothing retailer just incase they are giving a percentage back. Absolutely love Ibotta and would recommend to anyone!

This Company somehow charged my Debit Card $ 55.00 dollars. I have never even heard of this Company until my card was charged. I had to call my bank and my card had to be cancelled on Easter Sunday of all days. Very mad and upset about this. Good thing I get emails when my card is used online.

I use ibota to help me when I'm in a bind an It's easy all you do is sign up click on deals you want and link loyalty cards to it buy your items you clicked in a few days your saving will appear an grow until you click to with draw

I typically love the cash back but recently I have been approved for money back and then a few days later they remove my credit. Not cool

I tried to get rewards on Ibotta for Piggly Wiggly, Wisconsin. Unfortunately by the time they received my items the store was switching to the Rewards Card for using. So in that time everything got deleted. I have an issue with my cell phone & some things I need to do. So it became ugly on my end. I left a message yesterday & again this afternoon to see if they could help me with getting it solved. So just now I decided to check to see if anything was being done & to my surprise I received the money! Once again Ibotta stood up to help me. Thanks so much you people are totally awesome & so helpful. Keep up the great work. Because of the help I got a payment of $4.25. Thanks!

It's nice for a change to get something back for items I purchase on a regular basis.

When I first starting using this app, about a year ago, there were some good rebates on products I actually use. Not, they don't offer any good rebates. For me it's a total waste. I can only use the 10 cents off any item. It's not worth the trouble for a cheap 10 cents.

Contrary to suggestions that disgruntled users are scammers that got caught, I was using the app as instructed. It took a few months to reach another $20, but I finally did the other day. I tried to cash out for an Amazon credit but it never showed up in my email. Checked and double-checked spam folder, correct email, etc. Tried to resend it. Contacted customer service and so far, no reply. The money has disappeared from the balance, yet not delivered to me. If it were an issue with a purchase, wouldn't I have received a notification at the time I submitted it? And if it were an issue with a purchase, why withhold the entire $20? Or as it seems in my case, make it disappear? That's just wrong. I guess I can kiss that $$$ goodbye, but I will also bid a not-so-fond farewell to Ibotta.

They caught an item I had purchased at Hyvee, & will a couple of clicks, I was able to get the.75!

Ibotta was really exciting and like a hobby for me. Actually I was losing more money. My last receipt I scanned wouldn't go through. I had over $20 in my account after I scanned the receipt. Then all of a sudden, my account locked, and they blocked me, closed my account. I can't get my money, they won't answer my emails. I feel like a fool. All that time, money energy I put in and they close my account because a receipt didn't go through that I just got from Walmart. No reason no nothing. What a complete scam!

I ordered Hello Fresh thru the app and was supposed to get back $20, I should have known I was going to get ripped off. It's not showing up and customer service wants me to prove that I ordered what is the purpose of ordering on their app if they can't see it?

I downloaded the app and really didn't use it much, but my daughter explained it to me how to use it and now I find that I can really save a lot of money. And sometimes you get more refund that you even paid for the item. Great deal!

I tried using iBotta for a while, but I wasn't really using it, so I cannot attest to the problems other people have had with the application. However, I wasn't able to delete my account as per their instructions, and there was no internet guide to doing so.

I finally found out how to delete my account (hopefully):
1) Submit a request, as per their own instructions on deleting an account (you can find the link there).
2) Choose "General Account Issues"
3) Choose "Cancel account request"
4) Fill in the other request bars.
5) Hope for the best, like I am right now.

This app was great the first time I used it last week since then I have not been able to get any cashback on anything. The same things come up over and over again and I don't buy in bulk so it really is a total waste of my time. I live in southern NH and no not Portsmouth so more than 3/4 of the stores are not in my area or are not stores I purchase items online. Not user-friendly and at all. I'm 64 years old and it is just my husband and myself we need to buy for. I get better discounts from my store apps and rewards programs. Looks like my review has low credibility but I don't need to upload proof of purchase of photos to let people know how I feel. My purchases were at Hannaford, Walmart, Market Basket, BJ's and 98% of my purchases did not qualify for cashback. Don't bother with this app unless you constantly shop for a family and buy a lot of baby things and processed foods
