In less than a year of using Ibotta I have earned over $500 dollars. It's easy to cash out your earnings, set up your shopping trips either in store or online. I don't know why anyone would not use this program. Great care and response from customer service. It's $$$ in your pocket for buying brands and products you use. Try it!
My Winn Dixie card doesn't link with Ibotta! I've tried all suggestions such as removing the card and then adding it back to no avail. I usually have to take a receipt picture which is almost impossible to capture correctly. Very frustrating since I purposefully buy certain items for the points.
I first joined Ibotta in 2014, but didn't really use it until 2017. Scrolling through the offers, reading, and selecting, takes quite a bit of time and is pretty tedious, I have to admit. I've never been prevented from cashing out my money to Paypal, or using it to buy gift cards (I've done Walmart and Home Depot so far). Yes, some items that should qualify for an offer don't (usually a data entry error where they haven't input the specific barcode of the item you purchased. Just happened to me with Kashi cereal at Walmart. I used the help option in the app and had my credit the next day. Since that cereal would have given me the Kashi bonus, they credited me for that too.) Reading the offer wrong will absolutely result in no credit. For instance, I love Dukes mayonnaise. They recently put that on offer in Ibotta, and I was like, score! I bought one, and submitted it. It didn't show up. Reading more closely, I needed to buy two. So, I went back to the store in a few days when I needed to get some other stuff, returned the one, and bought two. This time I was credited. Easy peasy. But, you have to read and pay attention to details. And that scrolling, reading, and selecting takes time. But I'm almost to $1000 back. That's real money.
Tip for consumers:
Read the details. Add the offers first. Scan your receipts in decent lighting. If you are online shopping, you have to click through to the site through Ibotta, and THEN add the item to your cart. That is true with Rakuten and all the online cash back sites. None will give you credit if you buy from a saved cart.

Mostly groceries, but some online purchases. Macy's once, Chewy, Amazon before Covid when they still offered cash back through various sites (they don't through anyone now, except their own devices), eBay, etc.
I have enjoyed the Ibotta app, and saving money! I have just hit the 50$ club and I've only had the app for a month. Simple to manage and helps you save on every day items.
I have been using Ibotta for a few years now. I like using Ibotta, but sometimes there are not items available that I purchase. It has gotten me to try new things.
At the beginning I didn't know how to use it, my sister show me how and know I be saving a lot and got money back from shopping! I got my turkey almost free. Thanks Ibotta

Not worth your time. Initially, I enjoyed using Ibotta and found it relatively easy and worthwhile. However, over time, the changes they have made to both the website and the app have made it totally impossible for me to access. You can no longer see either offers or your balance on the website, and they apparently have no plans to go back.
On my older iphone, I'm space-limited and am unable to download the latest version of the app (earlier versions are unavailable). I would only be able to download the app IF I changed the operating system on my phone - which I not only can't do due to space, but don't want to do just so I can use their app. Even though I explained my situation to Ibotta (I asked them to send my funds along to my PayPal since I no longer had any way to access their program), their only responses were: to ignore the circumstances, delay their response so as to deduct their non-use fees, tell me to download the app, tell me to change my operating system.
Any decent, consumer-friendly company would have a functioning website, make it possible for users to access the service via older versions of the app, be willing to understand how they have diminished access, understand the value of satisfied users, apologized and sent my credits along to PayPal. Instead, Ibotta insists on being consumer unfriendly, intransigent and seemingly more interested in imposing fees.
Stay away from Ibotta. Far away.
My purchase at Walmart was $348 with a 2% online cash back, but I only got 1% back

I love it when you can earn money when you go shopping. Helps with your grocery bill. What's even sweeter is when ibotta puts out a bonus so you can make more money

If you link your account so you don’t have to download your receipt be patient your receipt will load. Just take’s a little bit.

I love this app I use Ibotta when I shop at Walmart a lot if you shop online you get cash back sometimes all the way up to 16 20% sometimes it's 3% and then you also have something where you can pay with Ibotta where you're in Walmart and you pay with it there so you not only get cash back but you also get incentives to where you get discounts as well and a lot of stores are like that I even use it when I order longhorn and get you know 2% cash back at longhorn or 1% sometimes this app is amazing and it's actually easier to use than rakuten I think so
Have been using Ibotta for many years and I can tell you this has been a wonderful experience to be a part of currently over $2000 that has been rewarded to me would highly recommend to try it out
Easy cash back and fun to use. Love the deals you get not to mention the gift card selection and being simple to get them is phenomenal! All around great!

Although I have run into a few issues on Ibotta where I don't automatically get credited I ALWAYS experience a quick and positive resolution.
I have been a member for a few years. I have made over $300. I get gift cards to get gifts for my grands. Christmas is hard with 6 grands and being retired. Ibotta works.
I have really enjoyed saving money on Ibotta. It was a learning experience, and I caught on quickly how to have fun and find where I can build up my bank so I can redeem.

Although Ibotta can be a bit time consuming, it's worth it. It does take a while to get a good amount of money back, but if you stick with it, you can get some good gift cards.
I was supposed to be $18 text back. But they only gave me 10. And they didn't want to deal with me. I showed them the proof and if the two days and they haven't respond
I purchased Glad products for a raffle and used my 3 year account with ibotta for the rebates. My raffle director asked me to exchange SOME of the products so that all gift baskets had the same exact items in them. I turned in the receipts and was accused of FRAUD! My account was deactivated and ibotta claimed the two pizzas my family are for dinner were returned. I offered to provide proof of the pizza leftovers from my fridge and they refused. This is the ONLY time they have ever had an issue with me and yet I am treated as a criminal. I am a 3 year client of ibotta but this was my largest payout of $50. The BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU has had this same complaint MANY TIMES and most clients lost all their earnings. BUYER BEWARE
I like the app but wish it would automatically add my deals versus me searching thru and adding everything manually like another app I just started using.
Working with Ibotta with basically flawless! I purchased all of my groceries and got some cash back! They have so many options of stores to purchase with!
