At first I found Ibotta to be somewhat confusing but now I utilize it to the max. Here are some tips to help those who are struggling. Once you select the store you are going to buy from then select the items you are going to buy. When you select an item tap on it and be sure to read the exclusions. For instance, if the item is for Oreo NBA Cookies, you can only buy that particular one, not the overstuffed, etc. Make your grocery list from those items you have chosen. To Redeem those items you just scan your receipt. Sometimes after you scan your receipt there will still be items left in you account, when you tap on the item they will ask you to scan the bar code of that item. I use the gift card for withdrawing the funds I have earned. Just select the store, and then the amount you want to withdraw and Ibotta will email you a gift card that you can print or save as a picture. Some stores only let you withdraw a $25 gift card. Wal-Mart and other stores gives you more selections of denominations for withdrawing. Once I navigated around the program, I got the hang of it. Keep working at it and you too will be saving tons of money.

Customer care is unresponsive. There is no phone number and they do not respond to emails. Someone hacked my account and changed the PayPal email and took my money. Should not haven been this easy to steal my money. And PayPal easily works to fix these situations, but ibotta will not respond. DO NOT USE APP. WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORTS.

Be VERY careful allowing your monies owed add up. I proudly let mine slowly and surely add up to $100 and was excited to cash out. As soon as I did, they marked me as fraudulent yet I have all of my receipts proving that as not the case. Considering putting together a class action as from what I have found, this is pretty normal actions from Ibotta. Beware! You are wasting your time YET allowing Ibotta provide FREE mkting, buying, learning yoru habits from location finders etc to the manufacturers and they are being paid by the manufacturers YET NOT PAYING THE CONSUMER as promised.

Beware of the online shopping offers. Even though you shop through the ibotta app as it tells you to do, the offers don't always register. I am constantly tracking this company down through help tickets for my money. They take over a week to respond a lot of times and don't correctly address the issue. When I booked through hotels.com, to get a measly 3% cash back through ibotta it wound up being the worst hotel and I couldn't cancel it because it was booked through a third party service. Ibotta made me wait over 60 days to get my $10 credit, I had to track them down twice for it. They kept telling me it will take more days. It's like they are trying not to pay on their own promises. Also they wouldn't accept my grocery walmart pick up receipt because it was printed out. (The only way Walmart gives you receipt is through e mail for grocery curb side pick up). I explained the story to them. They owed my $7 worth of credits for junk items I would have never purchased and refused to pay. I'm tired of chasing them down for due money I am owed. They used to be good a few years ago but have really gone down hill. The only thing that The app is good for now is the any item measly 20 cents off each grocery store purchase. Which is probably more work to scan the receipt than it is worth. I would seek out other apps and leave this one aside.

1st of all I only signed up as a way to earn a few extra dollars while doing the shopping that I normally do. The $10 sign up bonus was a bonus. (Which my account has never been credited!) 2nd of all you have to hunt through all of the offers ahead of time to decide what you're going to buy, and from where in order to take advantage of any offers. This in itself takes HOURS! Thirdly, their site does say on multiple offers that the offer can't be used with a "coupon" at Walmart for the same item. It does NOT say that you can only claim an offer from Walmart Rewards or Ibotta! I've spent more than 10 hours trying to maximize my rewards for nothing! I would've immediately deleted the app if it had said "offer" instead of "coupon"! (Since I do 99% of my shopping online I don't typically use coupons, so I thought that this wouldn't ever be an issue for me.) Walmart Rewards gives you access to your earned rewards almost instantly, and there's not a minimum. With Ibotta you have to earn at least $20 before they'll allow you to claim your rewards, regardless of how you want to claim them (gift card, PayPal, or your linked bank account). So, after more than 20 HOURS, I've earned a whopping $0.45, which I'll never be given. In my opinion, Ibotta is the BIGGEST ripoff, waste of time, and utter scam! I wouldn't recommend this app to my worst enemy! Save yourself a LOT of time, frustration, and energy and forego Ibotta. I wish that I had! Use something like Fetch for your receipts, and/or Walmart Rewards. Both will take substantially less time, and allow you to earn rewards that you can actually use.

Ibotta stole my money. You get five dollars for signing up with a barter but then they take the money back right away. What a scam! I tried reaching the company but they don't respond. What a racket.

I love how many stores are available for rebates. I also love how you can shop straight from ibotta for extra online rebates. So simple and easier than finding the paper receipt!

Addicted to the app... when it works and gives me rewards right away without giving me the run around. I was able to redeem $150.00 this past weekend right in to my pay pal account and back in to my bank account within mins, i got several account register in the app and rewards cards... Since... I haven't seen any new offers, all my offers are the same thru every single retailer. A lot of liquor offer hardly any food or any useful items. The items I regularly buy i have to buy more or buy the largest to now get any credit for it. They also" haven't been able to identify offers" am trying to redeem its been 3 days of this. Yes! For some items you have to buy the most expensive one to get any money for it. When i first started using the app i didn't have to find offers, i just took pics of the receipts and a bunch of offers and items used to pop up. I also noticing i got a couple of people to sign up for it, while teaching them how to used the app, once again loved it got credit right away... but as soon as they download the app its full of offers and items i don't see on my app. Back to hating... Offers like bananas apples and veggies. Or any receipt. LIKE shouldn't we all be seen the same offers? Specially if we are in the same area? Why am i giving you location access? I feel like am playing a video game the higher I go the harder it gets. Am definitely loosing interest. Like the changes don't make any sense, if i don't see any offer to get eventually won't bother checking, i definitely won't be fool in to buying things i don't need. And makes me upset because of the people i got to sign up.

App has variety of ways of saving extra money if you are on the budget, if you are savvy. Quickly refunds you. Offers bonuses, team working with errands is definitely a must for extra rewards.

To anyone who is claiming that this App is "great", they're probably being paid for their positive review.

It has been WELL over 5 days.
Ibotta now owes us a total of over $60.00. I should not have even informed anyone of this App, because lately it has been a waste of time, and people are upset with me because I look like I've lied.
My Account, My Mothers Account, And NOW my Brother's account, all got locked from cashing out.
We are using all 100% real receipts,
We are all using our own Mobile Devices,
And we have all wasted our time and money, only to get shut down.
This is now a more serious matter, because now I know I'm not the only one they've done this to, and I refuse to let my money be taken from us.
I've sent over 10 Emails, trying to cash out.

This App is a scam.
And my comments and bad ratings will increase. My Friends are all currently deleting their Account.
At least until I see otherwise.
But I'm definitely being ripped off,

It's good but it could be better. First they need to add more stores, second they need give better cash rewards, 3rd no more crazy stuff like complete 30 offers to get $10 it's insane.

I REFERRED WELL OVER 20 PEOPLE & MORE THAN 10 OF THEM SIGNED UP & I HAD OVER $200 OF CASH REWARDS THAT I TRIED TO GET CREDIT FOR & AS SOON AS I TRIED TO GET MY MONEY, THEY LOCKED MY ACCOUNT & THEN A WEEK LATER, THEY DEACTIVATED IT!
