Ic3.gov has a rating of 1.6 stars from 56 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Ic3.gov ranks 124th among Consumer Protection sites.
We average between 23-25 fraudulent calls, per day. Sometimes the same caller calls more than once. There are medical, Insurance, educational, banking, Auto repair... Foreign employees that you cannot understand that keep calling. These people behind the calls do not know "Please delete" our phone number we tell them, and they keep calling. We have family & friends that we need to talk to. Thank-you for any help you can give us.
Absolutely bad experience. Never ask help to this site. There are many. But in general never accept to solve a cybercrime or a scam with somebody you don't see. And the most important never give money to recover money. Because they will forever ask you money saying it is the last payment, it will always be the last payment. Never trust them. This is my experience. These are the profiles... t.me/dacwebcy t.me/WanxiuYing t.me/Ic3OnlineResponse

There's no way to follow-up and I've never been contacted. Highly doubtful that anyone reads 99% of these. Sure go ahead and do it but it's really not worth the time, effort and the getting your hopes up.
Typical government BS.
I guess the complaint forms just go into a virtual trash can. No one ever got back to me for any sort of update. I don't expect them to fly to Hong Kong and knock on every door. But an email about the status would help. Thanks for nothing "state and/or federal agencies..." Our tax dollars at work.

Waste of time filing the form. It takes some effort and time to fill in all the info they ask for, and there is absolutely no follow-up. It's like shouting into a black hole. Might as well not bother wasting your time.
Okay, I just wasted time writing to these people, thought I was being helped out but what ive seen so far in the reviews makes me lose hope for the resolve of my complaint.
Still, I thank everyone for their reviews...
Have a nice day ic3
I have been stalked both online and in real life for many years now. It is so strange to me how some people have such an easy time with these things while others have such a horrible experience.
I won't bother sending a second message. I'm sure when I go into an office to report in person, they will simply tell me to contact ic3 online. When I say that I have already, they'll simply tell me to try again. This country seems to be legitimately terrible. Absolutely no help to the people that actually need it.
First, they have the wrong phone number posted on their website. It's hard for me to believe a government agency could be so dense. Second, they did absolutely nothing about the complaints I issued against a fraudulent Internet business. I reported them to Ic3 twice, and nothing was done about it.
If filling about a form about a scam makes you feel better, go for it.
There's no clear path for any sort of followup. It's just submitting a form that in theory a law enforcement agency might look at. I found the local law enforcement won't investigate Internet scams at all, they just send you to ic3.gov. Pointless.
Got an invoice from PayPal saying I order a electrics wrenches for seven hundred dollars I call them to tell them didn't order it was.a scam er they told me to go to Walmart and get these google pay card and give her the number I did 700.00 I'm 83 years old didn't know what they were to fix my ip address why I got that I nvoice
Read reviews, not going to bother with a form. But I have all this information of the scammer who robbed me of $450. Bank was no help, paypal managed to refund me $50 of the original $500. The information is some of the emails, names, and numbers this scammer uses.
Yes, why does it even exist because they never investigate it? I have been rudely told by FBI to file an IC3 which is actually just a way to shut individuals of serious or minor cybercrimes up. At least before, crimes were taken seriously.
Very frustrating that after providing elaborate information, go to submit and message says email address not in correct format. Yes, it is, and info is being sent from a hard wired computer, not Iphone, tablet, etc.
Ther eisd NO # for tech support either. Anyone else have this problem?
I have spent hours in the last two days trying to file a complaint and there is a glitch in their own system. No wonder all these scammers are getting away with things. Beware bernedoodlespets.com SCAM
I submitted a fraud complaint to ic3.gov and received a reply email (from *******@ic3.com) with my complaint ID and password. This is the only time I was ever contacted and I had no email address or phone number to contact them. I periodically logged in to see the status of my case. My status never changed for a year. Then my case just disappeared. There was no case with that Complaint ID.
My "case" went to a government "Black Hole"!
The name says it, IC3 is one of the best sources to report cyber/internet crimes. In this new day & age, consumers need to be protected from dangerous Ponzi schemes, scammers and identity thieves. This agency is a division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, so you can feel confident about IC3.
Tip for consumers:
Report any crime you feel is an act of cyber terrorism or scam.
Submitted complaint got no confirmation email no confirmation case number no password or link to check status.
What these employees get paid for a job to do nothing and with my assumption here based on my complaint and not legal response received required they send to me they pick and choose who they want to file a complaint against. What a job to work get paid and not do the job. Who cares right?
You might as well not waste your time complaining to the sites. My family and I found out our mother was scammed out of her life savings of $200,000 and I went onto the sites to write a complaint almost one year ago. All you do is you get an automated email saying that they received it in the appropriate person Will be contacted and then you never hear from them again. I needed to go onto the updates of the complaint so that I could print it out for mom's tax attorney and the link they sent me does not work. This is absolutely useless websites in a poor excuse for a government intervention. If you don't have a terrorist threat to report then they're not interested in your complaints at all. It will be a complete waste of your time so I wouldn't even bother with the FBI. It's just useless and uncalled for. This division needs to be completely eliminated try and find somebody who actually cares and will actually do something to help.
Useless, waste of time. They have no capabilities. It is a showbusiness of FBI. I complained for huge loss due to cybercrimes in 2015. Nothing happened. Shameful for FBI to run such department where there is no feedback at all.
I am a victim of credit card fraud committed in Calf, I live in Kansas. Neither jurisdictions will accept a complaint. Crime not committed where I live nor do I live where the crime was committed. So I thought I would file a complaint with Ic3.gov because the criminals appear to have a Russian like and my ba part of a much larger fraud ring. HOWEVER it is hard to file a complaint when the website is not working! The date of the crime field will not let you enter a date. Without a date the complaint cannot be submitted. Extremely poor
Hello, yes, I would like to see the evolution of the complaint that I filed; I have the number, and password, but I do not know where to go; thank you; complaint Id: I**************

Monday, Oct 27 2014 someone called me, I couldn't understand her, so a man got on the phone, he wasn' any easier to understand. They spoke like Vietmese. My caller ID showed it was Dave Steffenson # *******050. ( I thought it was a friend from Bloomington MN calling. This guy said I had to pay $399.00 for a license on my computer, and if I didn't I would be committing CyberCrime. I told him I never heard of such a thhing and that I wouldn't pay any money. He kept me on the phone for over an hour and I don't know that much about a computer, but I knew I wasn't going to pay any money. I told him I had to get off the phone because I had a Co. Meeting I had to attend. I finally just hung up on him, which I should've done to begin with.
I did go to the Blaine Police Tues. AM and he told me it was a scam.
The caller was very convincing and no doubt he was able to get some other people to pay the sum he requested. How very terrible!
I had also sent money from Western Union as same case. And I want to get my money back, I had also contact him in facebook
