I run a Renault, Porsche and two Volvo's. It's done everything I have wanted so far, especially the Volvo's which you simply cannot maintain without this. Very happy with it. UK customer support are helpful as well.
Looking at the reviews I've just wasted my money,, Software version out the box is out of date for the car it was bought for,, updated and still rubbish, returns policy states no returns if unit has been activated and updated, very clever Chinese marketing... The video shows just one of the faulty modules in this unit, it's supposed to be performing a battery reset but brining up injector cleaning on cylinder 1... Avoid if I were you, wish I had seen these reviews before buying..

CUSTOMER HELP I would not recommend this company, on my experience, all I wanted to do was update a scanner and ran into problems, the staff at USA help just ended up formatting the TF card making the scanner useless since there was no data on the card and would not send new card, after repeated emails sent they all just ignored me, went for help to a uk dealer who also was no help, so the scanner I bought is now no good, so do not buy if you expect help later
I bought an item from this company and when it arrived they wanted another £43 i refused and contacted them and was told by one of there employees that there fed up with us from the uk and we should learn to read very rude and very bias company

Returns none standard DTC's which do not exist and technical support is literally none existent. Issues not resolved or explained in 7 weeks of emails. Over 30 sent and 6 received, some of which were repeated emails. Useless.

This is the biggest con ever. Read all the publicity about this product which states it will do all and more of its sister readers the V1 & V2 and specifically states the vehicle makes it covers. But there is a small statement saying that some models may not be supported by all the functions. Where are the models? I couldn't see them. Bought it specifically for French vehicles as I am a professional there and what model do you think it doesn't cover …. Only the major seller to the French workers the Peugeot boxer. Top of the range and costs more than competitors and it doesn't do even injector coding! Absolute rubbish. Might as well use it as a door stop. Icarsoft support don't want to know.

For the price you pay, the product seems to be reasonable - but from my current experience the local and international support you get from them are perhaps lacking when you have questions. Local reseller passes it on to someone overseas who responds and then goes quiet and the over seas contact does not even reflect an iCarsoft email address, which looks like a very disconnected channel for iCarsoft as a vendor. In My case the emailers were ": iCarsoft Sales" <*******@icarsoft.co.za> and "Lily.Bongch.co" <*******@bongchtech.com>
But I suspect you get what you pay for. At least the product provides free software updates and seems to be reading most of the errors with the MBII system. But then also I am told that now you need the MB V2 now, which is frustrating - why not just update the software instead of bringing out a new similar looking device
Tip for consumers:
I still think for the price, it is very reasonable value for money as other tools are more expensive and you typically need to subscribe and pay for firmware updates, whereas with iCarSoft it is free updates, which is rare to find these days.
One just need to find a better way of getting support from these guys on matters

I bought an i900 from iCarSoft thinking it could access airbag system on my truck.
It couldn't.
I spoke to the vendor who said their newer model, the CR Pro, could definitely access the air bag system. It didn't.
They had me run a log function to record the attempt.
I sent it to them.
They sent me an update.
The update completely disabled the ODBII reader so it won't even work.
Now they aren't responding at all.
Save your money.
NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

I wish I had read a review rather than the marketing material before I purchased this scanner. It can not put the electronic brake into service mode as advertised. When I complained they had me reset the scanner which has now made it worthless. The service from the company is just as worthless as the machine. SAVE YOUR MONEY. THIS DOES NOT WORK ON A 2018 Jaguar XF. I have been exchanging emails with the tech department since Christmas (9 months now) with no real answers.

I have the mercedes SD version and icarsoft II. The software is more then a nightmare to navigate and does not read all the codes. For few mercedes's is does not recognize the protocol and fails on a start up. A waste of money in my opinion
I purchased the iCarsoft Pro thinking it would be better than a $20 OBD2 dongle with free app. ICarsoft could only read 27 items on ECM where my cheap $20 dongle could read +70 items. This was on a Toyota Land Cruiser 200. Total waste of money!
Deactivated my EPB unable to reactivate and unable to connect to my Volvo XC60 again. It will damage your car. Costly experience
The hardware seems solid but the firmware is severely lacking as a tool for LR DIYers... don't waste you money as I did. I even contacted them reporting missing info on the vehicles these units are designed for and now, no more responses to email or firmware improvements. You can't even get transmission temperature for my LR vehicle. Buy a Foxwell instead.
Ok so first off I purchased the iCarsoft Cr max.
The reason for this is my Vauxhall meriva had some major abs problems with lots of faults showing up on dash and in diagnostics. After going back and forth to the garage for over two months and paying a fair amount, the problem wasn't resolved.
I decided I needed to take control. I couldn't afford to keep taking the card back to the garage and I didn't like the fact that i no real control or idea what the problem was and how to fix it. But I did know I would rather use my time without cost then pay for the garages time without a guarantee it would be fixed.
I researched lost if diagnostics brands. I settled on icarsoft max as it seemed user friendly, supported lots of different vehicles, was bidirectional and had free updates for life, where as most other brands at the price point charged an annual fee.
After receiving the diagnostics tool and running the update, It worked out if the box it terms of reading all the fault codes. I then googled the fault codes and worked out that the abs module needed replacing. After replacing this with a second hand one, I read that the steering wheel and yaw sensor needed calibrating before the module would fully work. I was told the Cr max was capable of this.
The Cr max let me calibrate the steering wheel sensor. When I went to calibrate the yaw sensor, unfortunately I got an "application error" it wouldn't let me calibrate. I decided to contact support. To do this you first need to switch on the log file in the Cr max tablet. Then basically go through each step for calibrating the yaw sensor. When the error comes up. All the steps are logged. Then in the support tab you can select that log, it automatically saves and you basically are then given a page to enter your problems. You can even attach screen shots also. I explained the problem and sent the email.
I took around 3 weeks but eventually I received an email from Icarsoft with instructions on how to update the software for my vehicle with an attached zip file. After completing this and hooked the diagnostics to my vehicle and low and behold it let me into the yaw sensor Calibration. After calibrating and clearing the codes all my faults were gone. Job done.
Now it's not the cheapest bit of kit but I like the fact that if I change my car it's there waiting for me or if my family or friends need it, it's there for their cars.
A positive I found was that due to my car having electronic braking I've never been able to change my rear disc or pads myself. A command needs to be sent to the car to unwind the rear brakes before replacing the pads. This always meant a trip to the garage. I tested it and icarsoft does this on my vehicle which saves me another trip to the garage.
There are the odd issues where you go into an actuation test for example when you want to test the rear windscreen wiper. When you click on the rear one in the tablet the front wiper might go off, then you click the front and the rear goes off. This is purely down to the wrong folder names being used. This doesn't happen in all the folders I just noticed the odd one in mine. Once you work out what each are doing it works fine just alittle confusing.
Pros:
Well made hardware and fairly, intuitive software. Service modes work well, has actuation tests, special functions and live data which comes in handy when fault finding.
Has free updates for life
Has customer support but be prepared to wait for a response
Cons:
Not every service mode available for every car, some have more some have less! But to be fair there are literally hundreds of vehicles available all with different service options.
Actuation test button names sometimes mislabelled but you can work out what it should be.
Support takes a long while, but I assume they get a lot of requests and it's free!
I wanted to write this review as I noticed that there were a lot of negative reviews about the kit. To be honest there were times when I was annoyed, when I couldn't calibrate the yaw sensor for example and some of the folder names had the wrong names on them, and that I didn't get an answer straight away from support after paying £360 for the kit. But then I thought I'm not paying for support or annual membership. These guys are taking on the mammoth task of trying to provide every user the ability to have many diagnostic functions available for many many vehicles for a one off cost!
Then support actually got back to me and gave me an update for my car. I assume this update will be added into there next big update for Vauxhall cars...for free!
In conclusion:
If you are a large car workshop and need support right thier and then, then maybe look at alternatives like launch or manufacturer specific tools and prepare to pay more and pay for a subscription.
If you are a small garage, car enthusiast or just some one like me who was sick of paying and not getting the problem fixed, then in my honest opinion for the money I think icarsoft are doing I great job.
Cheers Dan
Bought CR Pro for SRS light. Doesn't work. Support non-existent. Vendor doesn't answer phone, support email worthless, told I'd have to "debug", email took 4 days to get a response, 3 more days to get a second response with NO information. My time is worth much more than the cost of the unit. If I wanted to "debug" a tool, I'd work for a diagnostics company. What I NEED is a diagnostic tool that works as advertised. ICarSoft is supported by 1 person and we'd all be dead before he'd figure out why his code doesn't work. Company registered in DC, but obviously a foreign company and technology. Complete waste of time and a defective toy.
Returned unit and bought Innova 5610. Worked perfectly out of the box, much better capabilities, vendor support, compatibility wizard on the Innova site and actually has documentation AND GOOD documentation.
Tip for consumers:
Run away! It's a tool that has it's code cobbled together and you get slow rolled trying to get support. A defective and poorly designed toy that doesn't work.
By the time you're ready to give up, the return period and/or "warranty" would be up. Not the first time down this road with similar vendors.
Buy from a company that:
1. Answers their phone,
2. Stands behind their product,
3. Has a sales rep that can answer your questions,
4. Documents the product,
5. Provides real support

Wanted a diagnostic tool for my XC90. Volvo VIDA/DICE is available, butnif a faf to use and requires a laptop, which is another expense I did not need.
So after reading about went for the iCarSoft V2.0 as the best featured kit at reasonable money. And I'm glad I did.
Not long after buying it an array of warning lights had me plugging in the V2.0, and it quickly diagnosed not only was the integrated car phone up the swanee, but pinpointed it to the back up battwries within the unit. 2 x new batteries for £40, some soldering, and use the V2.0 to clear the codes and the job was done.
Then ABS/TC slights started appearing. The V2.0 traced it to the drivers front wheel and not only identified it as an ABS fault (no kidding - duh!) but pinpointed it as a "mechanical" issue rather than an electrical one. The only mechanical oart down there related to ABS is the reluctor ring on the end ifnthe drive shaft, so I took a flier and booked it in to the dealer to have the ring replaced, btput with no expensive diagnosis beforehand by the dealer. And once again, the V2.0 was right - the new ring fitted I cleared the codes, and the problem was solved.
So my V2.9 has proven very effective, and aleady paid for itself at least once over in terms of the diagnostic/investigstion costs that having a dealer doing the fault finding would have incurred.
Sure, there are more comprehensive tools out there, such as Snap On, Delphi, VIDA, etc, but for a simple plug-in unit, with wide ranging features for disagnosing, fesetti g, and even configuring non engine subsystemsm at a sensible price, the V2.0 has proven to me to be unbeatable.
Tip for consumers:
Lots of knock off copies out there, so be sure to use an approved icarsoft supplier.

Didn't buy, the device did not meet my expectations, I returned it but did not receive a refund, now I had posted a bad review on their site and they just change it into a good one.
Bought to support a battery registration of a '17 Porsche Macan. I received assurances from iCarSoft prior to purchase that it was possible. Wrong! Only supports OEM replacement - not the aftermarket units available. I was sent a software update to correct this. Would not load from my Mac. Now the iCarSoft unit is DEAD.

On my icarsoft CR Plus I would like to install an update.
Heardly impossible. There are various websites where you are directed to but nothing is easy as it should be
I bought the device because it says it simulates the gears and it doesn't! I contacted them by email reporting the problem they said they would fix it and nothing was resolved. I'm still waiting for their solution.
