Update: package arrived this evening, thank you. Is this company a scam? Will I ever receive my order? My package has been waiting for courier to pick up for over a week. Customer service is useless. I will have VISA reverse the charges. Regret buying from iHerb will pay more and buy from Amazon instead.
I suffered 5 order rejections in 24 hours: iHerb dare to imply card problems, but a check with my card issuer reveals no card declination: transactions were approved and the approval was active until cancellation was initiated by iHerb: yet iHerb dares to imply "lack of funds", "suspicious activity", a load of bull:
I began ordering from iherb from the very time they started. I've even talked to the owner on the phone who was very kind and accommodating. However, what has happened to this company? The discount structure used to be great and the prices the best on the internet. Now, they are by far the most expensive! $65 for a product that I can get at Swanson or on Amazon for $43. I've taken them off my list and don't even bother anymore. What is Shame!
I ordered from this company and they omitted to inform me CLEARLY of their customs and tax charges on delivery. I've seen many reviews now with the same issue and it's not acceptable. If customers were aware of this up front they could make an informed choice as to whether they purchased from them or another company. Responses from their customer services were unhelpful. Won't use them again or recommend them to anyone either.
I put four items in my basket, rang a friend to see if they wanted anything and transferred funds into my bank account. When i re checked my basket they had emptied it. When i re entered the items they were all increased in price. Instead of $100 my basket was now nearly $140. What a rip off, huge increase in prices in minutes. Got a badly worded cut and paste type response to my complaint to them and was upset as i have been with this company years and spent a fortune, But no more, i will never use them again
Customer service is unprofessional and useless. The website customer service number is false and when you use their 24/7 chat feature as their only option, it takes a very long time for them to respond. On two occasions, iHerb did not accept accountability/responsibility for their mistake and I will put my trust in another company that can assure me a piece of mind from now on. Lastly, iHerb provides a product which can be found on other websites for cheaper, without offering any price match.
Please note that items are listed with an expiration date in small print: while it is there you must be careful to read it since otherwise you could end up buying boxes of cereal that will expire within just a few weeks of your purchase. This is bad business practice --and when I wrote to iHerb to ask them to replace them they refused, claiming that since the expiration date was listed, they were not at fault. Is this good business practice? You decide. I certainly will not ever be doing business with this company/
I was dismayed to learn that my £150 order of supplements was subject to another £39 in customs and excise duty! I have received an email from DHL this morning requesting payment before they will deliver. I will not be ordering from this site again. For people ordering from the UK it works out cheaper to buy locally.
I have had a few unfortunate shipping issues with iHerb. Three times going to the wrong address, a few times being left out in the pouring rain with no plastic protection for the box, the items inside soaking wet boxes. This last time was it for me as some of the items were gifts I can not give now. I explained all of this to iHerb and sent pictures of the damage, and I feel that the response of "we are sorry and we will tell the appropriate department" doesn't cut it for me. What department? It is clearly a shipping issue but they should back their products when shipping fails to deliver their products properly. They never mentioned sending me out new items to make up for this. So after years of ordering from them I feel I can no longer support this site.
I was unhappy with their promotions that caused only anguish and frustrations. Spoke to three different customer officers and all three did not bother to take any remedial actions and when I said I would like to cancel my order, they practically told me to go ahead'. Never ever will I buy from iHerb again.
Awful customer service. They make you prove their mistake by taking a picture of it and then they offer to refund the product in approximately 4 weeks or more if you ship it back to them.
I ordered 2 products and they got one of them wrong! I suggest going somewhere else, it is a gamble if you want to take a chance on getting what you ordered and another gamble as to whether they will rectify the problem for you in the end. Here's my advice, don't bother shopping here. They are incompetent.
The company lacks the most important element - technical support. After purchasing the goods, it makes no sense to contact them, they shift responsibility to the delivery company in every possible way and do not help the buyer in any way. The refund or resending of the goods was refused for the reason that the parcel was allegedly delivered. In fact, no one contacted me, the package is in an unknown direction. I have been trying to contact iherb for an hour. There is no record of my email or mobile phone yet they are emailing me regularly. There is no one you can talk to and you have to sign in to get a live person. But you can't sign in without your email or phone which they say they don't have. I will never order another thing from this company. It is too hard to get help from them!

I was a loyal customer but they have lost me because their customer service is virtually inaccessible. I am not willing to spend hours (which is how long it was starting to take) to remedy a company's technical issues. I can get all of their products on other sites for slightly more ($1 or $2) with better technical functionality and actual customer service.
I love shopping at iHerb. They have most of the organic products that I am looking for, along with a great selection of vitamins. I order usually once a month to keep my items in stock all the time. IHerb's prices are well below the suggested retail that you would pay at a local store. Besides, it is easy to keep a list and reorder off that list!
I am very pleased with all my purchases from iherb! They are the best in the business and far ahead of their competition. No other health food company offers free US shipping over $20 regardless of the weight of your order and free international shipping! I would not comment on the negative reviews since I have my suspicions on where they are coming from. IHerb also has a very nice, easy to navigate website with lots of great products!
Iherb takes your money and does not take any responsibility of your order is not received.
I have spent over $200 and a month later still have not received my orders. Iherb took no responsibility and will not reship or refund. Instead they reply with "contact our carriers"
Their carriers have NO contact info. And it should not be the responsibility of the customer to track their order. It is iherb who hired them. They need to follow up!
There is no number to call iherb nor person to talk to.

My account was hacked and an order placed without my knowledge. Useless customer service. Had to open a Pay pal case. Been 6 weeks and still trying to get a refund. Customer service is terrible and they don't know what they're talking about. Never using this company again.

I have made about 29 purchases between 2014 -2016 and I haven't had much to complain.
The purchases have been 16 - 50. My purchases have gotten stuck in customs about 5-6 times. Usually that's happened when Iherb had free shipping, or when one of the items inside had been around 25. I guess Finnish customs let packages go easier even when their price is over 22.
They usually give little free stuff with the purchases, like pens, magnifying bookmarks and tote bags, which are kinda cute. I had one of the pens open in the package and it had sprayed ink everywhere though.
I usually buy makeup, hair products for curly hair, beauty products, ingredients for flax seed gel, oils and supplements. They once sent me an argan oil that had a rancid smell to it and they refunded my money. I like buying from Iherb because many of the products are usually over two times more expensive to buy from shops in Finland than from Iherb.
I would not recommend the company. I never received my order and wasted two days trying every possibly way to get in touch with customer service. I finally posted on Facebook page with a negative review and got a general reply. They use regular post office for delivery so there is really no way to track the items. It said my stuff was delivered and it never was. They say they won't refund money after one time until they receive the item back. Like it would be my fault the item is lost in shipping. I would never take that chance. I would never order from them again. Never did receive my order and I'm still upset over how much Time and energy I wasted just trying to get someone to respond. Terrible terrible. Buy somewhere else.
I dealt with the company and bought many things at low prices.
The problem came when they charged me $280 on a $210 order. I ordered in Canadian funds (displayed on the page) and checked out confining the transaction with the bill confirmed in Canadian dollars. Someone there decided(?) to convert the bill to US funds.
People (many it seems) have accused the company of fraud. Maybe. Or just carelessness. Or incompetence. Or having so many customers that they can afford to piss people off.
They have no customer service phone line and the email discussion is mostly "check our web page!"
Amazon customer service is fantastic and the prices are slightly higher.
When a company gets a flood of extremely negative reviews I'll listen in the future.
Package came on time, but turned up with a very grumpy delivery man from DHL Express who demanded I give him £16 for the package. I'd already paid £10.68 for delivery and so was a little shocked and felt like I was being robbed. There was NO mention of this extra cost anywhere! It didn't help that the delivery man was incredibly short with me, when I was very polite to him, considering he just took £16 off me! So I sort of felt like I'd been slapped in the face and robbed by the DHL delivery man. Rude. Not worth the products at all.
I ordered from the uk and believe I was misled about delivery charges. I was asked for an addition £16 by their currier DHL to cover tax and costs to clear customs. Very misleading and they are aware of this as many others have made the same comment. I should have read the reviews before I purchased the product and will never use them again.

For the third time a shipment was delayed because they claimed there was info missing on the address. Last time it happened, after much searching I found someone to help. The package came with the corrected address identical to the original address. This time it was exactly the same situation except the iherb discontinued their real person phone help. I was directed to an automated chat except they wanted my cc number and to charge me a dollar for their help. I will never order from them again. It's just too much hassle to resolve an issue, even an easily solved one.
