Update: package arrived this evening, thank you. Is this company a scam? Will I ever receive my order? My package has been waiting for courier to pick up for over a week. Customer service is useless. I will have VISA reverse the charges. Regret buying from iHerb will pay more and buy from Amazon instead.
I suffered 5 order rejections in 24 hours: iHerb dare to imply card problems, but a check with my card issuer reveals no card declination: transactions were approved and the approval was active until cancellation was initiated by iHerb: yet iHerb dares to imply "lack of funds", "suspicious activity", a load of bull:
I have been a customer for years. I don't know what happened but once I saw that they were using LaserShip I knew I was in trouble. Package destroyed and sent back to iHerb. Never arrived at my location. All of this documented in the tracking log. Since there is not number to contact the company, I initiated on-line chat. What a nightmare. Told it was in customs (um I live in the US). Told I would have to take a picture of the damage and they would look into it. Proceeded to state that I never received the package. Told to contact shipper to receive picture of damage. Seriously! Ended up opening a PayPal dispute and got a refund immediately.
Would give 0 stars if possible.
Ordered some crackers and they never sent a shipping confirmation. "Customer service" said they would contact me regarding it. Never heard from them and that was a while ago.
Then placed an order from a different email and they never sent a shipping confirmation so I tried to login and I was blocked. Contacted them and never heard a response.
Don't be fooled by the B/S responses they reply to upset customers on this sitejabber page. They don't care about you, they just want to steal your money.

I am a longtime iHerb fan. Plenty of products and information. Very nice website and very easy to use. Great prices. Very fast delivery. Cosmetics- do not always have all the products in stock. Great deals. Warmly recommended.
My shipment has never arrived, their tracking number is not valid. They blame the post office, they blame me! For choosing the standard shipping method instead of UPS, which would make my order economically not viable at all.
My first order arrived in 6 days... great; I placed three more orders, none of which arrived, even though I kept with the required weight, contents and value they recommended. I herb refused to reimburse me for two of the three orders... Worth 120 dollars
Worst customer service. No shipping confirmation. No email till you look for your item. They can not find any information. You get bill but nothing. They will give you money back month later if you remember to ask. Other wise nothing! Worst online shopping ever.
In a sea of amazing websites who needs iherb?!? I could not even get past the login/create an account phase! They want your first born to even open an account. Lets get this straight, YOU will not get my phone number. Just who do you think you are and more importantly who do you think you're dealing with? I will never, ever, shop with your company. You will never get my business. If an email and address is not good enough for you, well then, you know what you can do.:)

Was charged twice upon picking up the shipment, first one, they claimed it's customs, and it was payment requested by them, second time, they claimed they got nothing to do with it and it marked on post Canada system, recipient pays shipping requested by sender.

They don't even rating of 1. Don't do business with iHerb. They have no customer service. No phone number. The only form of communication is through a robot online chat box or an robot email system. They don't care about their customers. If you have a problem with them, they will make it your problem. If you communicate with them through their email address, their answer are always boiler plate answers. It appears they never read the messages or they have people that don't understand English. I have tried for over three weeks to get a consistent answer as to why they would not ship a specific product to California when they ship other products that are identical but under a different brad and all I ever got was a run around and never a straight answer.
Even though it doesn't say on your cart you will have to pay custom charges. Mine was half the price of my purchase so the whole lot turned out to be much more expensive than buying froma UK online outlet.
The online shopping experience absolutely sucks.
I can't log into my existing account, nor can I create a new account because the verification code doesn't arrive before it times out. Then after hitting "resend" a third time, I'm told to contact customer service.
No thanks, I'll take my business elsewhere while iHerb's website remains in the year 2000.

I ordered vitamin E from them and payed 894 rupees then gave 550 for courier charges, now DHL asking me 1400 (handling + custom duty charges) to receive my shipment or end up paying further panelties if not picked up within a week time. I feel badly cheated here don't know what to do.
Like many others I have been charged an additional 60% of the intitial cost by DHL "VAT & import duties". Total con. Web site and order system gives no obvious indication of the potential additional charges (you can find it if you hunt for it, but any reputable company would warn upfront). I'm so cross I can't even type properly. Grrr.

Beware hidden import charges
They have no control over the courier services they choose to deliver parcels. If they deliver to wrong addresses, iherb does not give a damn. They cannot refund you, resend the parcel or just help with the investigation. You have NO support after your parcel is shipped. And the best thing about it, iherb does not allow to choose any other courier service when submitting an order. A very nice business they run along with scummy CDL, stealing customers parcels one in a while.

I ordered probiotics on December 21/2021, funds were taking from my MasterCard on Dec. 22/2021, on December 24, I received an email form the company told me that the order was cancelled, reason: no payment was received.
Tried email to them, always was rejected tried to chat with them, seems like don't know how to answer my questions but kept asking me for the order no.
You are not getting anywhere whatsoever, the only thing I can do was to dispute my payment.
The process was so frustrated, guess I should never order from this place ever again.

I have been ordering from iherb for two years now. They have outsources their customer support to an online company. You will never speak to a human. Also, their shipping department is totally incompetent. I order several herbs in glass containers. These are destroyed in shipment at least 30% of the time.
Like many others here, they cancel your order without any notification and when you finally ask about the status of your order they basically blame it on you saying they needed additional info (even though they never communicated that in the first place?!?!) dont confirm an order with estimated delivery of more info is needed! BEWARE!
I'm used to receiving my items late from this company (3-4 weeks at best), but this time my order got canceled after five weeks (!) due to a payment processing problem on their end which they never informed me about. I wrote 9 emails to customer service, and 7 times I received generic replies ("Sorry about the inconvenience, please reorder"). The other 2 times they answered somebody else's questions! In general, the iHerb representatives are rude and unprofessional and do not care one bit about their customers. Stay away from this company! It's far better to spend a few dollars more to actually receive your products and be treated like a valued customer.
I should have checked reviews prior to giving this company a whirl. I've now seen broken glass items are the norm as they don't use bubble wrap, a pretty standard and cheap protection barrier for any parcel you would think.
Not only was my card compromised upon purchase, but the delivery was then delayed, only to discover that the items are damage and I'm still awaiting to see what happens next. Customer service have responded promptly, but they never initiated the communication to advise the item has been damaged and sent back, nor the refund. It will be interesting to see what the refund is, as most of the non-glass items will now be ruined and unusable. Pretty sad considering the prices aren't cheap, I purchased on convenience, and now I should have looked elsewhere from the beginning.
... really like placing orders from iherb - get the products as ordered - good expiration dates - everything always packed well and received in good condition. And, the products arrive amazingly fast! I see lower star ratings, many from the Brits --- customs, delay and duty could cause irritation - this Irish American commiserates, although not going overboard. It's state robbery - get after your parliament for duty & custom changes... or move to the US - just don't bring your stricter prohibitive gun laws and regulations - it's bad enough here in The States.
In any event, I am able to highly recommend iherb.
I placed my order on June 18 and they shipped it that exact same day, which shocked me cause it was a Saturday. My order arrived today, June 22! Very happy with my raw honey, Himalayan salt, and African black soap.
Their online store has a wide range of dietary supplements, herbs, beauty products, and health foods to name a few items. And some not so healthy foods (try the Chocolove bars ;).
On a side note, iHerb is the only place I can find the Alba Botanica products for a reasonable price. Even online retailers like Amazon cost more and don't even get me started on the absurd markup by my local stores.
Definitely recommend iHerb.com for the variety, price and fast shipping.
iHerb.com has gone down in customer service and shipping. My last two orders both had broken bottles. It was due to inadequate bubble wrap packaging as the boxes weren't damaged. Although they replaced the items quickly, it bothers me that they are too cheap to package according to UPS standards. I am glad now that UPS Next Day Air is now free. I will now stop buying products in glass bottles from them. I do like the fact that they have a large inventory, so some items I must buy from them not available locally. Another negative is no phone support and chat not working sometimes.

We've just come back from our holiday and my order is waiting for me at the Post Office as they couldn't be delivered - there is an £11.90 Customs Charge owing on an £18 order. I needed them sooner, as they took forever to arrive, as I didn't know they were an American based company until after I'd purchased them. A company based in Colchester had 5000 iu Vitamin D3 for £9.365 soft gels, in a plastic flat pack - very snazzy which arrived in 2 days. This is where I'll get them in future.
I was reading reviews of a supplement on Google and noticed that a lot of the 5 star reviews came from iHerb customers that haven't even used the product yet or reported results that aren't even claimed by the manufacturer. In this case, Hydroxycut non-stimulant for weight loss via vitamins, apple cider vinegar, green coffee bean, and caffeine: NOT appetite suppression or water retention reduction. I did some research and learned that iHerb offers reward points to people for reviewing products. They are encouraging consumers to lie about the efficacy of their products.
