I am surprised to see the people 's unfortunate experiences from the site here. I have not had a single problem since I first used the site...I have purchased 3 wallets from here and the are soft, gorgeous recieved on time. I would like to get a bit more from them in the future
Placed an order on 09/19/21. I received an order number but no confirmation email and the funds have already been taken out of my account. It's hard finding contact information to inquire about my purchase. It's been over a month and still no updates. I will be disputing the charge with my bank. TOTAL SCAM!
Item purchased on Aug. 29th. Item was defective (crooked logo and stitching on logo). I called and initially asked for an exchange. The same item was no longer available so I decided to proceed with the return. When I called I was told that if the item were indeed defective, they would refund shipping charges as well. Their system was down for returns until around Sept. 4th. Since I would be out of the country for a few weeks, had my husband do the return so we wouldn't miss the 30- days window. Upon my return and checking my cc, the shipping charges were never refunded. I exchanged several emails with customer service to no avail. I included photos of the defect as well and was told by a supervisor that the "inspector" found no defects on it and that I was "well aware" of the cost of the shipping charge and that upon returning the item it was not guaranteed shipping charges would be refunded and that I'd be "requesting" a refund. At no moment I was told it would be a "request" and not a "guarantee", especially after being told shipping charges would be refunded if defects on the item were identified. The purse was not up to my (the customer's) standards, but somehow up to the inspector's standards. Upon being confronted with that statement the supervisor continued with the same line as in it was my fault for using their return label and that if I had gone to UPS it would have been a lot more expensive, etc. Summing it up, it was my fault for purchasing an item and not wanting to keep it because it was defective. Will I ever buy at this online retailer again? Certainly not. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired, especially if you are considering the quality (key word here- QUALITY) that Dooney&Bourke products are supposed to have. The $7.50 shipping charge, at this point, is the least of my concerns, however, I suggest you treat your customers with a little more courtesy and diligence. I had purchased D&B items before at Macy's and this was my first purchase with this online retailer. Suffice to say, last as well.
They have awful customer service and I will never buy from them again. I returned my purchase over two weeks ago and still have not got my refund... DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!
I saw the reviews, but the bag I wanted was on-sale 50% off on this site... so I tried. The bag came well packaged and beautiful. I am impressed.
They lie about your order status and refuse to cancel orders. They have poor customer service. They do nothing to help the customer.

I first purchased a purse in last year 2019 for a Christmas present about a month before Christmas. I did check the status regularly and it said order awaiting shipping(not exact wording but in essence that's what it said) So I wasn't worried. As Christmas approached in a weeks time I realized I had never received the purse.And the status remained the same. Contacted customer service and they said the purse was not in stock. Never was I informed that and the status still said awaiting shipping. Shipping what? They had no purse. It took about a month of phone calls, emails and finally a complaint to my cc company for me to receive my money back.
So I thought okay everyone has a problem once in awhile so last week I saw a purse and it wasn't one the Dooney website so I looked at the Love dooney site and there it was. So I ordered it. Again immediately they took my money as payment. That was on a Friday. It is now Wed and the status shows ordered and backstocked. I've called twice and was told that they do have the purse in stock but they are behind in the shipping dept and they do not know when it will be shipped. I did tell them I went in to put in the order again to see what would happen and of course it let me complete the order with nothing said about backstocked(of course I didn't pay). So again they would have taken the money without any problem there. Customer service suggest waiting a week. I will do that and then go through the horrific experience of getting my money back. I did use Paypal this time so hopefully I get my money back easier and sooner.
No three strikes you're out. NEVER AGAIN. And I advise anyone NEVER NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY NO MATTER HOW GOOD A DEAL SEEMS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
Customer service very rude! Hidden shipping costs, and deceiving pictures! DO NOT BUY FROM I LOVE DOONEY!
