We are an employer. It was easy to open an account with Indeed, com. We posted our first job add but did not get any qualified applicant. When we wanted to post another job today, a message said that our company was under review. As owner of my company, I called and was asked many inappropriate questions such as details of all activities of the corporation, why we did not have a website, why I have an email with a name different from our company's name? And then we were told that we needed to email a document showing an official registration such as our Federal tax number or our Az registration number?
We refused. We have no idea what they would do with a copy of official registration.
Not sure what the point is on applying for jobs on Indeed. I have archived just about every job because my resume is never even viewed. "Applied 22 days ago" "Applied 16 days ago". Companies post jobs but never utilize the sight. I don't get it. I not going to use Indeed. It's a joke.

It seems Indeed has resolved not to allow businesses to list their vacancies for reasons best known to them. Disabling accounts for no reasons. Not providing enough reply to correct ones mistake even. Just dictating their monopolistic terms. Better use Indian apps.
Hello Vedansh, we have responded to you directly via private message. Kind Regards- Indeed Support
So today I am hit with this whilst in the middle of a recruitment campaign. Now I can no longer access the candidates. You don't even explain which job posting was not consistent with your quality standards?
Your ability to post jobs on Indeed has been disabled.
One or more of the jobs you posted on Indeed was deemed not consistent with Indeed's quality standards. You will not be able to post any jobs directly on Indeed. Appeal this decision.

Entirely too much complication. The website is not user friendly and its options are overkill for what is a basic process, review candidates and pick one. There are so many subjective variables that unless you are an Indeed employee I'm not sure that it would ever make sense, if it even does to Indeed employees. This is clearly overthinking and adding 20 bells to the bicycle when one would do. If you charge by the bell it makes sense. It would not be so offensive if it worked effectively, the response time is woeful and the sorting and selecting software is inconsistent and difficult to navigate. I spent several hours weeding through applicants only to have search results lost. Cancelled my account today and will not be back.

As the owner of a multi award winning care provision I am frustrated at indeeds lack of impartiality when it comes to publishing libellous and defamatory content. Following multiple attempts to seek a resolution directly with indeed I will be seeking legal action to protect the interests and reputation of my business. I urge other quality business owners to do the same.

I like how Indeed pulls job listings from all over the internet, has useful advanced search features, and most jobs can be applied to quickly. I still do see a lot of irrelevant jobs in my search results though.
Also, Indeed has been having bugs recently where it said I didn't finish my applications even though I received confirmation emails that they were submitted. It also said that no one else applied to those jobs, even though it had been a few days since they were posted. The previous applicants probably had the same issue I had. I tried to submit feedback to them on this, but I couldn't find a way. It didn't seem like that feature was available.
Hi Elizabeth, we have responded to your review by private message. Please follow up there with any additional questions you may have.
I was told repeatedly that Indeed was the way to go to find quality applicants. What I got, though, were applicants who didn't even seem to read the adds. We were looking (clearly repeated throughout our add) for someone with years of progressive industry experience who was local and licensed in the industry. What we got were inexperienced (and even college students), unlicensed people with little if any industry experience.
My customer service rep, however, was very receptive to my concerns offering to look my add over to see how I could improve my chances at attracting who I needed. He indicated that some folks just don't bother to read the add. Anyway, I was thankful that customer service wasn't a nightmare and he genuinely seemed to care.
Another note, the site seems to be geared not so much for the employer in that the input format doesn't allow for variables like salary RANGES.
Hello Dee, we're sorry for the poor experience with advertising on Indeed. We'd be happy to provide suggestions to improve your candidate quality. We also appreciate your feedback on salary ranges and will provide this to our product team. Please email us directly at sitejabber@indeed.com with your Indeed account email address so that we can help. Thank you.
I used this site to post a job opening as a trial using their free offering. A month later I was charged $235 without any notice of my free period expiring or any indication of what charges were accruing. After contacting them they were unwilling to do anything for me. During this period I had 2 people post a resume for me to review. One of them had NO qualifications. I do not think they even knew what they were applying for. This is the WORST experience I have had with any business ever and I have been an employer for over 20 years! Do not use them!.
I am a business employer. I used these guys for two months and I posted what I wanted for prospective candidates. I got nothing near what I asked for and ended up getting charged for every non-viable candidate. Now I am attempting to get my money back and they are playing around with me. I have asked all my associates not to use them either before they get ripped off as well. Don't waste your time.
Hi Greg, sorry for the negative experience. We've reached out to you through email to help. Thank you.
Answer: Hello Anita, positions posted for free stay on Indeed for a total of 120 days. Sponsored positions can stay on the site until an employer has filled the job and closed it on Indeed.

Answer: Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
Answer: By NO MEANS should you pursue this so-called job offer further and in fact, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau.
Answer: Hi Kristina, feel free to email our team at sitejabber@indeed.com with some additional details regarding your concerns and we'd be happy to take a look. Please be sure to reference this interaction in your email. Thank you.

Hello Patrice, sorry that you have had a negative experience with our verification process. To protect our job seekers, our Search Quality team reviews accounts to make sure all information provided matches up. If we notice there are two different company names or emails being associated with an account, we may need to require additional company information in order to allow the job postings to go live on our site. None of the information you provide to us is used for any reason other than verifying your account for visibility and is not shared with any third parties. If there is anything else we can do to help, please feel free to send us a message.
