I ordered food by Costco.com since last Saturday. My credit card was approved. But later instacart Cancelled it said May be fraud. I filed a form per their request and attached my driver license and credit card picture since last weekend. Now it's Thursday, still locked. Nobody contact me. I called Costco.com on line order Dept and each time was transferred to Insracart. Each time was told we're put it to highest priority to unlock the account or ask me reset up an account with Instacart directly then I can order food right away. But I just want to use Costco.com and I want to see how long they can unlock my account.
If I could give no stars I would
If I could give no stars I would. I have used instacart for over two years and I have been very understanding that things get mixed up or forgotten, the shoppers are just human. I've even been understanding when my orders are way outside the delivery window or have been poorly bagged.
However, I just cancelled my membership and I will never use their services again because twice my orders have not been delivered and they refuse to refund my money and want me to use it as a credit. How am I to get anything delivered when your shoppers keep not delivering? I just spent an hour on the phone and customer service shrugged the whole situation off. Absolutely ridiculous!
If I could give 0 stars it would still be too many. Absolute worst customer service and complete lack of security on their platform. My credit card company informed me of suspicious activity linked to my IC account, however when I reached out to IC they claimed they did not have visibility to any questionable activity. After numerous attempts to reach the fraud team I'm still left wondering how my account was compromised and whether or not the platform itself is a secure one to use. Going forward, I will be listening to the advice of so many others and trying another company.
I have been using them for years, but they are now shopping multiple orders at once, then doing multiple deliveries. My items will be finished but not being delivered for a while. Items are not getting here as cold as they should. When I complain, I get someone from India that just cant see to understand my issue.
Beware of additional charge on each item on your order of groceries. You can end it up to $25 additional charge. I got charged off $117 plus tip of $14. However Aldi receipt shown $92.Also Instacart missed Milk & salad mix from my list. I 'll never order from Aldi via Instacart again. Lesson learned!
I am a senior and can't get out to do my shopping I used instacart one time I used my food stamps instacart took money out of my bank account for non food items that's all I purchased was food then they took another 45 dollars extra without my knowledge and refused to give me my unauthorized money back never again customer service was very rude on the phone all I can say is they take advantage of people do not use instacart they rip people off
First they take the money off of your debit, credit card and once you started adding more items even if they've taken enough already for you to use the money that they've taken, they start charging your card for more money even if they have enough money off your card already to pay for the added items,This sounds like a scam to me because as long as they've taken the money already and you don't go over that money, why would you be in my account trying to take more because I added five more dollars here or two more dollars there that only adds up to the money that you already have of mine, sounds like a scam because disabled people and elderly people don't remember 5 to 7 days about what Instacart is supposed to give supposed to give back and you just constantly take even though there's nothing owed to Instacart, I added items because they already had enough of my money to pay for the added items, after delivery I didn't owe them anything and they didn't owe me anything but they tried to do an authorization hold on every item i added, this sounds real shady to me especially since mostly elderly and disabled would use this service, what a ripoff, taking advantage of people that obviously already don't have
I worked with instacart for over 2 years 600 deliveries! 4.98 rating and to get a customer who will just lie to get a refund or to spite you! And instacart will just Deactivate your account. (PLEASE BEWARE!) A majority not all of these customers are extremely ungrateful! Especially instacart!...They dont care how long you been with the platform, they dont care about your 5 star rating, they dont care that you worked in all types of weather, they dont care that you had to pay for repairs on your vehicle yourself!, they dont care about your amazing reviews from people that loved you!, they don't care that you followed proper procedures in a situation with a customer, they dont care about your appeals or want to hear your side, whatever a customer calls to lie about instacart will believe them and deactivate your account! I feel this is a horrible platform for anyone looking for a dependable side gig! Extremely unfair and unjustified! The customer service will ignore you and overall I would NEVER recommend this platform to anyone. Be safe and stay blessed yall!
One 3 occasions now when having Instacart deliver the person who supposedly I am communicating with is in deed not the person but someone else logging in as them. I know this because the profile has shown the picture and name of the person and it is not them I was told by the girl that delivered yesterday when I questioned where the male was that was on the profile she chuckled and said "oh I just use his login". This is very concerning from a safety perspective. I reached out to them and they wrote back a bunch of words that were meaningless and did not address my concerns
The only reason this is one star because I cannot give them zero stars.
This is a review of the horrible experience I had today trying to cancel my son's reoccurring account. I explained to them he passed away a week before the charge took place, but they said too bad you don't get a refund. They were not the most pleasant and obviously you send this off to India for CS inquires. My name is David Cook and would like to have some sort of reply. I did not even get the opportunity to cancel the membership
Takes a lot of energy to use, you don't get what you want, the service not free as advertised - don't go there! Although they have charged me for a year's membership and I can't get out of it (about $100) because I didn't read their introductory offer to their "free" service I will not use them again. Way too much hassle.
I am dissatisfied with Insta cart because there are frequently missing items from my order. They credit my account on my next order but I would prefer an immediate refund. There does not seem to be a real person to handle complaints. I don't know where my missing items end up. It is always the most expensive things missing. Although it is convenient I am about done with instacart.
They pick up the order and shop, but they pick up several orders at a time, so they don't deliver right away, we end up waiting sometimes an hour for the delivery, beyond frustrating, especsince the stores right around the corner, meanwhile ice cream, milk, deli products are in their car. They use to deliver right away. This is becoming an issue, someone isn't always there to help put groceries away. I'm looking for a reliable quick delivery place, I'm done with insta cart.
Literally the worst customer experience. I was basically harassed and the driver do not ever care about your order.
They very cheap, actually you will work for free, you will give more than you get anything very bad..
Haven't used InstaCart in a year. Last week they charged my card $99 for a membership fee. I never asked for a membership. This is credit card fraud. They need to lose their merchant account.
First of all, I am over 60 years old, so I get to use their help line, if there is a problem; and I don't have a car, so I use store deliveries often.
About 2 weeks ago, I placed an order with Instacart from Publix. My groceries arrived and one of the items was visibly rotten, and it was expired. I reported the issue, received a credit towards my future order. Apparently Instacart doesn't issue refunds. It was only $3.87, and I know I would use them again, so no big deal.
Today I placed an order for 2 items, total of $16.82 plus delivery fees and tips. While my shopper was shopping, she accidentally keyed 5 instead of 2, the system charged me for 5 items. I quickly texted the shopper, who apologized, and assured me I would only be charged for 2 once she checked out. She checked out, and nope, system did not correct. I called Instacart, the agent explained that they can't issue a refund until the order is delivered. The shopper arrived, showed me the receipt, and once again, assured me I would only paid for the items she bought. Once again, nope, system still charging for the 5 items. I called Instacart again, and explained what happened, the agent said they could issue a refund, but wouldn't tell me the amount of my refund. When I pushed for the amount, the amount she gave me was $1.82 short. I corrected her, then she explained that they only refund the cost of the item, they don't refund the extra money Publix charges for using Instacart. To be clear this is the amount by which they increase the cost of the items, and not related to the tip or the delivery fees. I explained that if I paid a certain amount I should be getting that amount, regardless of their arrangement with the store. She then explained that the system does not allow the full refund. At that point I explained I can live without Publix and Instacart, and asked the agent to please escalate the issue, I need to be refunded for the overpayment. I was on hold for a few minutes, agent came back and said the supervisor had agreed to a full refund. I am still waiting to see if the refund actually happens, and it doesn't turn into an account credit. It's been a couple of hours and I still don't have a receipt or my purchase.
At this point I think I should concentrate on living with an alternate grocery shopping service.
I signed up to avoid 3.99 delivery fee, but couldn't avoid cause I didn't want to spend $35 each time. So I tried to cancel my free sign up from the hour before and they talked me in circles until I had to scream "cancel the membership" over and over. When I got off the phone, I saw they charged me for the free membership I just canceled and I had to get on the phone again. It cost me almost 2 hours to NOT get groceries today.
I received this hamburger on 6/1/23. It's dated 5/24/23. I called customer support. They then asked me to send a picture of the label to customer appeals. My appeal was denied. I was told it was denied because "I complain too much".
If my order goes to the wrong house, or my meat is expired, or I ask for 2 pounds of chicken and get 4; yes I am gonna complain. These are just a few errors. I have been an Instacart user since 2018. Recently, I broke my foot so yes, I use Instacart a lot.
Maybe instead of getting mad at frequent users of their app, Instacart should hire better shoppers.
I wish I could write this review without even giving them any star! All I have to say is the customer service is absolutely terrible and so are the shoppers. Would not want any of my friends and family to go through this type of service and experience. I have been paying more for better service elsewhere which I feel is much better and the shoppers are doing their job right and following directions. Instacart has been robbing me since last October and after today I am done since nothing can be done to resolve issues like when I request to not replace item and make sure to make that selection and even double check my order and shopper does not follow directions and replaces a lot of my items anyways but the Instacart customer service can't refund me for the things I didn't even want replaced, organic things were replaced with non organic, items were replaced with items with higher price…bc this has happened before I just simply request to not replace anything to keep it simple for the shopper and also keep me from hassle of reaching out to customer service, but when customer service won't do anything about it then that to me is robbery…and the customer service rep told me to select "do not replace" for future purchases (hah never again)…but that is exactly what I did and selected "do not replace" and have been doing this the last few years…why are those selections even made available to customers then if shoppers won't follow?…oh and in the end it's us customers who are under review due to multiple complaints from us and we must then request refund through emails and pictures and even though we send proof each time, it's still not helpful. I am so relieved to be leaving Instacart and I'll make sure ppl I know also don't go through such headaches. So much happier to be spending my money elsewhere and truly regret not leaving Instacart sooner.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
