“Money Transfer Overseas”

As an NRI, I transfer money home in India regularly. Initially, I used services of some big names in money transfer and am ok to pay price for a service if it is reasonable. But I felt I was being ripped for every transfer. I had no choice until I was referred to Instarem by a colleague. I tried them out of curiosity. The transfer to my mom's bank account was quick, safe and was almost free of cost. I am extremely happy with Instarem's service and never had any issue with them in the last one year.

After Verifying my identity, I made a transaction for more than three days now it is still processing. Now they are requiring for a passport. I don't have a passport did they expect everyone to have a passport

You have to submit all kinds of documents, then they'll reject your transfer. Good thing I came across this site of all the bad reviews, I ended cancelling my transfer since it was taking way too long to process. Imagine your money just vanishing just like many people have reviewed here. No thanks. You may get a better rate but also a headache.

Don't bother, go elsewhere that is reliable.

I transferred funds using Instarem at 11 AM, by 5 PM on the same day I got the email from my block Account service provider that my funds has received, Thanks to Instarem support specially Mr. Umesh Khajale, you guys super quick and doing wonderful job. Exchange rates are very low as compared to other service providers with minimal transaction fee. I am very very impressed and I would recommend Instarem to each and every one who wish to transfer funds overseas. Thanks for being in the Market. Special thanks to Mr. Umesh Khajale for being so nice and cooperative.

These guys are upto no good. I created an account and deposited with them and ever since I couldn't access the account. There is no mincing words. These guys are fraud. Almost lost my mind till i reached out to Finetouch Tech and they traced my money and got it back to me from those fraudsters.

I made a money transfer (euro to INR) through Instarem. I transferred the corresponding money to Instarem on the same day. But Instarem cancelled the money transfer transaction stating no money credited to their account in 72 hours. But my money was transferred to their account on day 1 and is deducted from my account. Neither they are transferring back the Euro currency nor responding to my emails on their support mail id. It is been 10 days now, still no solution from their side. They are silent, Very unprofessional and alarming. They are holding my money which is not a small amount. I'm very very disappointed at their service.

If you are thinking of using the service like me before starting it seems all good. Got sales rep come to verify your document citing will help you this and that. After sending funds to them to transfer they give you all sort of reason to reject your transfer. End up they say they refund you. But then keep asking for various documents and keep delaying the refund. I send since 4th May 2018 and today is already 18th may and i dont get any refunds at all. Money still hold ransom by them. I have launched an official fraud case complaint to bank negara and waiting for reply. If you have plenty of monies to put in there to get stuck then go ahead and use them. No faking. Istarem malaysia uses a transaction reference number. My number is IN*******... go and check if what i mention is fake. Is a case right now with them.

Please Avoid this Company. I make the transfer from MYR to USD on 15 OCT.
Instarem said transfer is completed however beneficiary accountNo no receive any fund transfer from instarem.
Instarem gave me the Trace Number and value date and ask me to check in beneficiary account. Ends up trace number is invalid.
I ask for the receipt and they keep saying this is USD payment. No any receipt provided.
They even cant prove the trace number they gaven is valid or not.
Today is 4 November. I still don't know where my money go.
Instarem refuse to provide more details or proof of transfer.
This is scammm. They keep ask me to wait.

Overall good experience with Instarem, slight
Hiccup occured along the way, but matter was promptly resolved by the
Helpful country manager. Best rates in town (afaik). Highly recommended.

I have been trying to contact the customer service to find out where is my money as I started a transaction one week ago, first they asked me to send proof that I sent the money, they deducted the money directly from my bank so this shouldn't be a step but I sent the info, then after 4 days they reply saying they got the funds and sent them to the destination bank, it has been 25 hours since they funds were "sent" and we haven't got the money, if you want a good service and a good company to use and send money go with Xoom or Remitly, Instarem is the worst one ever, I have been using them for about a year and every transaction they had a new problem, I continued using them because they paid more money than other ones, but I won't use them anymore after this issue.

Please dont use POLI payments. Payments are not completed instantly but they are keeping the money for 1 -2 days and saying they have technical issues.

Worst customer service. No phone number to call. And why do we have to link our bank account when we transfer money? Really? Not only putting our account number but also our password. GOOD LORD.

They will hold your money for weeks and say a technical error occurred!
Will deduct percentage of money and refund back!

It's my first time to use this InstaRem & I was so disappointed. It's the worst company ever if your sending your loved ones abroad. I get interested at first to try their service since better rate, your earning points everytime you send money they get me there, but I didnt know it will be a nightmare for me! I sent $800 to the Philippines that was Sunday Nov 24,2019 hoping that my family will get it on d day that they need unfortunately they didn't. I have to call Instarem almost everyday just to check my money why it's taking too long despite of the fact that my money was already been debited from my checking account. I understand some delays coz of Thanksgiving but even after the holiday still didnt get the money! Customer service is not very helpful & just seems not to care for the customer. If you ask for supervisors or manager cant connect you rather they'll tell that supervisor will give me a callback. Really frustrating experienced. Worst worst company! To make the story short my money didn't really get into my bank account in the Philippines after waiting for almost 2 weeks can't really tell me the reason why so we ended up refunding my money back after my situation has been escalated & I've been calling them EVERYDAY!

Avoid if you can. I had a horrible experience with their team in Singapore. Despite writing to them twice, they don't act on it. You have to follow up with the instant chat every time because no one replies to e-mail. The onboarding experience is so poor that they ask you to take picture with ID card and upload and in majority of the cases it gets rejected not once but twice say things are not visible. When you question them, they reject profile without providing reasons. Forget about transferring money, crossing the verification process is a nightmare. Sometimes you feel that in order to save 5 bucks should you have to go through this pain. By the way I doubt their motives because they store all information related to you even after rejecting your profile. When you ask them to delete because its your personal info and when you have nothing to do with the site, they say they just deactivated it. Why do they want to store your information, when you haven't done any transaction with them. It scares me off.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I initiated a $******* US dollar transaction to the Philippines for a property purchased. I provided all the documents including the deed of sale, my bank account statements detailing the source of funds, etc and after 12 days of processing/pending status, they send me an email stating that they will refund my money instead. They could not provide me any more details except it doesn't meet their internal process. I asked for more information as to why it did not meet their internal process when I have provided everything that they needed but the customer rep says that's all the information she has. Bare in mind that I've been able to send the same amount using Transfast with no issues whatsoever.It took them 12 days to determine this while they have my funds on their bank account and it's going to take a few more days for me to get the refund. Essentially the way they make money is to keep your funds for a couple of weeks while they make interest out of it and refund it back to you. What a SCAM and RIPOFF. AGAIN STAY and SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MISERY! This company should be investigate for FRAUD and illegally profitting interest from other peoples funds/money!

Fraudulent, illegitimate company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, unless you are happy losing your money.

Tip for consumers:
Not sure how they have license to do business in the USA? They would definitely be shutting down by FTC.

I can't believe this so-called company was recommended by Monito! I won't be trusting anything from either of them now. After seeing them recommended by Monito I signed up for an account. I provided all the requested information & uploaded documentation. I was sent an email stating I needed to "verify" my account by logging in and providing "requested information". Upon logging in I'm shown a page stating again I need to verify my account by uploading requested documentation. I click the link and it just refreshes the page. I go through all the account settings and possible links and nowhwere is there anywhere to provide additional information or upload, just a page that says they are reviewing my account application and will get back to me when it is complete. A day goes by and I get another email stating I need to verify my account. There is no customer service link or phone number, only a chat box which responds with "yes it is a good evening" no matter what I write. I reply to one of the auto-gen emails sent to me and am then emailed from a different email address by someone claiming to be a customer service rep from the company requesting I fill out two documents they have attached: 1) Ownership Details, and 2) Business Review. I fill out the documents which is repeat information of what I have already supplied, and send it back. I then get another auto-gen email from the company again stating I need to complete my application by verifying my account. I screenshot this and send it to the supposed customer service agent I had just corresponded with who then responds stating they need still more information from me in the form of "more detailed explanation of the nature of my business", wanting to know why I don't have a website, if I plan to have a website in the future and if so when I plan to have it, and asking me to "share my product catalog"?!?! WTF & WTH!?!

I notice that there is not a single review on here after 2019 that is not TERRIBLE. Glad I saw this site before I went any further with this scamming sham of a company.
