Inter-marriage

Having tried two suspect Ukrainian dating sites, Godatenow and Uadreams, and seriously questioning whether to completely abandon this countries' scam ridden situation, I considered using Inter Marriage because the owner lives in France where rules on scamming are tougher. Although it's not pay per letter (PPL), it entices men to join by offering 'free' initial membership enabling you to write to up to 15 ladies. There is also much useful information warning against scams and how to approach and date Ukrainian ladies, and generally promoting how great the women in this country are, if only you can get past the cheats! It even has a 'scam report' email address to the Ukrainian owner Marina Federova. The site purportedly has run since 2000 so, overall, one is lulled into a sense of security.
But my alarm bells started ringing when I couldn't find any reports about this site on the internet. It has the usual testaments from 'satisfied customers' who report that they have travelled to the Ukraine or Russia to meet their dream lady but these are not independently authenticated. I never joined Inter Marriage but I would guess that a high proportion of the 15 ladies you might contact will answer you, as the testimonials on here confirm, which will then encourage you to join for an eye watering 1500 euros minimum! I contacted owner Marina who says that she is a very small site hence no reviews; what, even after 20 years? But I also noticed that for a 'small site' there are an awful lot of profiles on here who all seem happy to date men up to 20 years older than them, many of whom are beauties and all are available to contact via Marina's 'partners' in Ukraine who will facilitate meetings; who are these partners, presumably Ukrainian dating sites?
Now the reason I found this site is because I have been in contact with Nataliya on Uadreams ( which has many bad reviews) who also has her profile on Inter Marriage, but with younger looking dated photos, and I was interested in checking her veracity. Of course Marina confirmed that all her ladies are genuine, but this isn't worth much coming from a Ukrainian site(!), and she helpfully offered to forward a message from me on to Nataliya asking her to confirm that she knows me and thus to 'prove' whether I have been corresponding with a 'ghost' writer. Considering that my email had to be found, read and forwarded on by Marina, her Ukrainian 'partners', 'Nataliya', and then replied through this same chain it was incredible that it came back to me in under 9 hours! The reply was that 'Nataliya' doesn't know me and, what's more, isn't interested in me even though I sent her no personal profile and only a couple of photos. I said to Marina that this is very strange because I have had regular video dates with Nataliya so she definitely knows me having commented correctly on my clothing and what I was drinking during these dates. So either Inter Marriage has a scam profile on their books or at least someone who is prepared to scam on another site. I pointed this out to Marina and asked her to investigate before I commit to 1500 euros since it implies other of her ladies' profiles may also be dishonest. Rather than try to assuage my fears to secure my business, I was rudely dismissed with no satisfactory reply other than restating that all their ladies are genuine, whats more, I wasn't welcome on her site and that she wouldn't remove Nataliya's profile. I wrote again and apologised if my query appeared rude and said that i wanted to hear a reply from Inter Marriage to be fair before I wrote my review but did not get a reply.
So I must say that I would not recommend that you part with 1500 + euros to join since you cannot confirm that Inter Marriage is any more honest than the majority of the Ukrainian sites.
