If you are into learning and improving your knowledge about user experience the right way, this is the place. I have had a very good understanding of processes and many years of experience as a product designer, but I still learned a ton here. Their courses are on different levels. They all have depth. It's not always easy to keep up and stay on track if you start too many courses at once - like I did, but this is your part of a job to balance. For the price, you get unlimited possibilities of what you'll do with it, many, many courses that will improve your knowledge if you pay attention to it. It's just the matter of how you use this source.
I joined for the full year membership thinking I would be taking courses specifically in UX Design. That was not the case. I have a bachelors degree in digital design. The courses offered covered material that every designer learns, not anything specifically to UX design. In fact, all it took was one trip to Barnes and Noble to find numerous books, from numerous authors, and numerous publishers, on UX design that contained information very different from what the courses at IDF offer. The site is great if you want to become a designer in general, (graphic designer, production designer, visual designer, etc.) but does nothing to prepare you to delve into UX design itself. It also is not self-paced has advertised. You have to wait week after week to progress through the courses just like you would in a college classroom, each one taking 4 to 6 weeks. Inside the courses themselves, I found myself routinely answering the same essay questions over and over again. In other words, they would ask the same question a different way several times. Which is fine if you are doing multiple choice, but these were essay questions. So it was infuriating to have to write the same essay question answer over and over again. And the "certification" is through LinkedIn... NOT an academic institution. Its in the fine print after you sign up. LinkedIn.com is a website... NOT a school, college, or institution. The only place this certification is accredited for is LinkedIn's website. That is clearly not what people are lead to believe when signing up. In other words, this is NOT accredited by any means.

I'm very grateful to Interaction Design. Is a unique place to find all UX information, truthful and effective. They are also updated courses and are given by great professionals
I've taken several courses on IDF. The course contents were easy to understand and intensive. The value of the contents are much more valuable than what you pay for.

Overall, it's a good platform with professional teachers and systematic courses. The downside might be the contents is more academic and takes a long time to complete the certificate.
Hi Jocelyn,
Thank you for your great feedback.
We are glad that you find our platform resourceful and our instructors knowledgeable. Our courses are designed for people at different stages of their careers and are self-paced to accommodate our global community. Unlike in conventional universities, we want everyone to have a chance to study when they can.
We understand that some of our courses might seem more academic and take a long time to complete, but we believe this is important to prepare future designers to have a seamless transition in the ever-dynamic design field.
We wish you the best as you continue to work towards achieving your goals and hope that you will continue learning with us.
Warm regards,
Rikke Friis Dam of the Interaction Design Foundation

I learned about I xD Foundation during University, but never actually joined until recently. I've been looking for some professional courses to keep up with the field while searching for work and I wanted to find some good *quality* among the thousands of courses all over the internet. I've had the opportunity to speak with Rikke from the Foundation and she has been one of the most incredible human beings I've ever met, it's thanks to her kindness and help that I've joined the team - and it has been the best decision I could make.
There are plenty of courses and as far as I've seen they are all of incredible quality. They're designed to help you in the process of learning by using both video and written material, and most of all they have dedicated forum discussions to do some networking and learn with (and from) other's experiences. The Instructors review your course's answers and give you active feedback every time, people are nice, supportive and helpful, and the content is top quality. You can find inspiration and exercises to insert in your Portfolio, but most of all you find great materials and further suggested insights in every lesson, which is a must for those who want to keep up with UX, Research, Design, and so on.
I've only completed one course so far, but I plan to finish more of them as soon as I can. You can learn at your own pace, and go deeper as much as you want in the forums, the discussions or by connecting with people and fellow learners. Incredible!
I couldn't be more happy! <3

I really love the types of courses! No due dates etc. No company color, like coursera its google, though here it's really objective. Good answers also from instructors.

I found of great interest all courses I took at IDF platform. The fact you can study at your own pace helps a lot and the quality of the courses exceeded expectations.
Hi Alicia,
Thanks for the review! We take pride in the fact that our members can actually set their own study schedules. We are a truly global community—with members in every single corner of the world.
Very best,
Rikke Friis Dam of the Interaction Design Foundation
It has been really a great experience to learn UX design form Interaction Design Foundation. The content and the short courses they have bucketize to give a seamless learning about UX, Start to End are awesome. And those courses have rich content and real-time question answers are making the learning easy and helping beginner to grasp the logic of Human center design for long term. I would refer to every UX beginner to start with Interaction Design Foundation to become a pro in UX in such a very low cost of learning.

IDF has helped me learn /understand what is Design all about, it has impacted greatly in my career growth. Their certification has help me get good opportunities. Thank you IDF :)
I am more than positive about this learning platform. The editorial team obviously consists of UX experts, and I think it is noticeable. As a content and learning experience professional, I have a lot of experience with learning platforms and online courses, and I must say I do like the approaches and strategies the IDF has chosen. One of the nice things is the fact that the courses and the grading of the exercises are still partly human driven (instead of going the automatic way full on). A lot of the experience IS human interaction, which I like.
Throughout the years, a real interesting community has grown and making use of that network and its potential is an invaluable bonus. I really think here is were the absolute benefit is: the annual subscription cost is comparable to the admission price of a bigger UX conference (maybe even a bit cheaper) but the network opportunities are much bigger. There are local meet-ups, there are active discussions, you can find your mentors and peers, you can discuss your portfolio, there is members-only white papers and ebooks,... Absolutely recommended.
I have been studing UX with IxDF for the past year and I'm planning to continue doing so in the future because they don't rest in offering great new courses every few months.
In terms of economy, with one anual fee (that in other places wouldn´t pay for one course) I managed to do 15 courses (I would have done more if I had the time).
In summary, the best of the experiences. Thanks Rikke and IxDF for this great platform.
Tip for consumers:
You should sign for 4 or 5 courses at a time because lessons activate a week after you finish the previous one. This way you will always have a course available while the next lesson is unlocked.

Hi Ezequiel,
15 courses? A real go-getter! Bravo!:-)
You're absolutely right. Our members can take courses that would cost thousands of USD on other platforms.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. I'm happy to know that you're enjoying IxDF.
Keep learning, keep growing!
Warm regards,
Rikke Friis Dam of the Interaction Design Foundation
We started a design agency more than a year back without any idea of what UI UX is, we learned that IDF is one of the organisations dedicated to offer courses to enhance design and UX skills (that too at a very very economical price). I would like to confirm that I've got a lot of UX clients basis the things I've learned from IDF. The community is big and there are monthly local meetups where members share and learn about different concerns. I would truly recommend any one starting or already in the Industry to get started on IDF to enhance their UX skills to a different level.
I found IxDF one of the best resources for learning UX.
Overall experience:
- The community is active and helpful, the teachers are wonderful.
- I found myself doing almost all of the courses there, which helped me a lot.
- IxDF staff is extremely nice, If I had a question I would just send an email, and in a few hours, I would get a response. I felt like I'm chatting with my friends.
Learning:
- IxDF is designed for all levels, from beginners to experts, they got you covered.
- All of the courses are well written, the close and open questions are challenging. Don't expect your answers for the open questions to be correct all the time (which for me showed that they are carefully checking the answers, and not just giving points away).
- In each course, you got optional challenges that you can share with the community and get feedback on your work.
- IxDF also offers webinars all the time that cost $1 for members.
- IxDF got a lot of recourses that can help you as a UX designer.
Verdict:
I can go on and on about how good this place is since it helped me in many ways.
Would definitely recommend this site for people who want to understand what's UX, what to expect from working in this field, and learning about all sorts of topics that are related to design.
10/10 for me, I hope this review was helpful.
Good luck on your journey.

Prepare for yourself a learning schedule and progress in your own time :)
I have been member of IDF and while I take their courses, I learn new things every time. The courses are so interesting to take. There is videos, texts, quizes and also, open questions.

In my opinion to become UI/UX Designer must be something in your gene (you can search about it "left/right brain people"), Its like some people love math and some hate it, Some people can compose music and some cant, So before joining you must know IxDF cant change your gene but if you have that it will be great platform to learn and polish your knowledge.
Also for people that want to just have knowledge about UI/UX like team leads, marketing and other people it will help a lot. Don't expect to become UI/UX designer just read and pass this courses.
I really like Rikke and het team mentality and helpfulness, Keep it up guys!
I will share my personal experience with Ixdf courses. The courses is for UX designers, Interaction designers, visual designers, UI designers, Frontend developers, User researchers, Product Managers, Marketer.

As a graduate of one of the Bootcamps run by the Interaction Design Foundation, I can emphasize the most important points that could aid someone in their search and choice of the learning resources when starting a UX career: the IxDF' platforms offers a huge selection and variety of study options, it's flexible to suit your needs, in terms of time and resources, it provides access to industry-recognized mentors and most importantly, networking. Also, one gets to know how to build a portfolio from scratch, which would later represent the "boarding pass" in the UX professional path. The IxDF team is very responsive to one's inquiries and needs, and very professional in their approach. I find the IxDF learning platform innovative and brain challenging. It generates new ideas and makes one see things from a different perspective. Of course, it entails a doze of personal effort, dedication and engagement to acquire new knowledge and skills, but it's worth it. I am happy to have chosen IxDF and strongly recommend it for all UX enthusiasts.
Hi Sorina,
Wow! You've just made our week! Thank you so much for your high praise. I'm excited to hear that you've found our Bootcamp, courses, and platform to be challenging, insightful, and innovative. Our team works day and night (literally!) to bring high-quality content and support to our members and non-members alike. We're so happy to hear our hard work is paying off!:-)
I hope you continue to progress with the IxDF in the future! We're always here if you have any questions or need help with anything.
Happy learning!

Last year a good friend of mine recommended IDF to me when she found out that I'd be interested in getting into UX. And I'm so happy she did!
Before that I was trying to learn things on my own, trying to find reliable sources of information and learning material on the internet. Yes, undoubtedly, there's a lot you can find on the internet these days to learn from, but that will only get you so far.
When you're only just starting out in your UX journey you need structure and guidance, and you need confidence that you're in good hands. You want to build your knowledge on solid basics and you want to be able to learn about all the various aspects of the field. IDF gives you all of these, and so much more!
The amount of courses is unbelievable, covering everything from the absolute beginners to the more intermediate and advanced studies. You can easily take these courses step by step, building on each other. There's also lots of additional helping material free for you to download along the courses.
I especially like the templates which you can start using in your personal work right away!
The courses are a good mixture of reading and video lessons and they're taught by well-established and world-class experts in their field. What I also really appreciate is that even once you finish a course you can go back and revisit any chapter at any time if you need a little refresher on a particular topic.
And there's one more very important thing to mention - on top of the courses you'll get to be part of a great community, which is also priceless! There's always some interesting topics you can follow and join in the forum, and you can start networking with other people, from all over the world.
A large number of members are already working UX professionals who are also very happy to share their knowledge and want to network. There's always something new I learn even just from reading the forum :)!
I would absolutely recommend IDF to everyone who's looking to get started in UX and also those who want to broaden their existing knowledge and skillset.
There's so much to learn here! It really is a UX Powerhouse!
I registered for IxDF because I wanted to improve my UX research skills and wonder how UX designers use skills for their work. Thus, I followed the UX researcher course and participated in several networking hosted by IxDF. It was a fantastic experience and made many connections. The first and foremost was based on experience, I finally got the UX research intern job.
However, after I accomplished my goal, I forgot to terminate my service, and last month, I noticed it was an automatic renewal.
I contacted IxDF immediately, and they were willing to fully refund without any hesitation, I feel like they care about the customer's emotions and experience. I would like to come back whenever I have free time or some parts that I need to improve.
Thank you for providing honest service and fast communication, especially Rikke in IxDF communication team.
I definitely recommend IxDF if you want to be a UX designer or researcher. They are history and have a foundational knowledge of either practical materials as well as academic materials (such as methodology).

Hi Don,
I want to confirm the reasons behind your terrible experience. Please send me an email to rikke.friis.dam@interaction-design.org.
We have a clear refund policy, but we're also humans and can accommodate our member's requests. Since last year, many of our members have experienced and shared with us difficult situations. We have been supportive and empathetic — it's a never-ending learning curve.
I'll be looking forward to reading your email to understand why you got this impression, your pain points, and refund your payment.
