I had this device literally since Saturday, Nov. 28,2020 until Dec. 1,2020! I have called many many times to complain. Haven't driven my car since Saturday when I put the device in. Wanna know why?! Cause my battery is drained! Finally recharged it this morning, only to be stranded at a store. The battery died again. Now I have to get my car towed. Please stay away from this company. I'm a voluntary account. They have discouraged me greatly from doing the right thing. I have already spent over $200 in Uber rides and a battery charger! For the rep. To tell my end bill is $109 and I only had this device less than 72 hours is beyond me!

I could write a book with all the issue I've had with this company. No idea if the others are better, but no way they can ne worse. Not broke anymore talking to a lawyer tomorrow about the BS violations

I had my intoxalock transferred to my new vehicle. The intoxalock company canceled the work order that was supposed to go to my mechanic shop. Due to that the dmv never received my transfer form and revoked my license. Now I get to miss work since I can't drive, pay for my license reinstatement fee, if intoxalock ever gets the work order sent out. I have spoke to two people as of now. One hung up on me, the second being very rude. I paid my transfer fee but intoxalock never did their end of the job. I have now lost my license and possibly my job due to their mess up. Don't use intoxalock.

Edit: just got off the phone with the second guy. He couldn't even get the work order sent out. He said management is not answering their phone. So I still won't be getting my license reinstated due to intoxalock being lazy. I will be contacting the better business bureau.

If I could give zero Stars I would give zero Stars this place is a f****** joke they take your money even when you're up today on your calibrations and your monthly payments automatically taken out they find any way they can to take money from it every chance they can only when you when you even try to pay their little petty $#*! fees they don't they don't allow you to pay they just send some code and make you tow your car every month!

IF you get involved with this company get ready for "HELL" to enter your life. The equipment is outdated it's obsolete. It took me 9 months to complete a six mouth program. That's standard for this company. You can't leave unless you pay an early termination of 200plus dollars if you do and then you start all over at the other company. They will lie, cheat, and now they are trying to outright steal from me by charging close out fees, returned fees, on and on. A program that stated it cost 853 dollars ended up costing me over 1300 dollars and except for my credit card company would have cost even more. There is no recourse It'd Crony Capitalism at it's worse. Their installers are worse. Mobile Electronics in LaGrange Ga. Overcharged me every time I went there for recalibration. Until I found an honest one (Southside Liners in Newnan Ga), was the only way I completed the program. All the rest are straight out crooks. There are a lot of other companies, go to anyone but Intoxalock.

I was 💯 percent misrepresented, basically lied to so I would use this service. I had already picked out an interlock service 265.00 install including 1st month, when intoxolock called me. I asked why should I use this service: 1. We only calibrate every 3 months which is normal and can do with any other company
2. Told me my time would start as soon as my device was installed NOT TRUE
3. Told me it would take 2-4 hours the guy that installed said never is that true I was there 8 hours.
4. Told me payments are made 2x a month to help customers.
5. I paid the 49.95 to start never did he tell me that I would still owe 94.99 ( they charge a fee to use them as well as a monthly.
6. I pay them 94.99 a month and an additional 30.00 when calibration which he told me 15.00 to 20.00
Told me there was a minimum state charge of 94.99 NOT TRUE. I called 3 companies 79.99 to 90.00

The device is like 100 years old. It's huge wires all of the place and a camera huge, and a big block in my windshield.

I have never ever seen anything like this, devices are small quick to test and a very small camera.

This is the biggest misrepresentation I have ever seen! I WOULD GO TO ANY WHERE BUT HERE. Once you have signed up you can't talk to anyone I had to pretend to be a new user for them to call me back and I have been on hold for 45 minutes. The DMV needs to know this! As well as anyone else I can warn!' The installer was furious as to all the misrepresentations were in my email. I showed him. They also promised to give me a 100.00 back towards my install see if that's true? I have to have his service for the next year I am so disappointed and upset. The things you have to blow into won't even stay in the machine. I had to fumble around to find it before I could blow. Absolutely insane! And I just found out from the supervisor that he charged me $40 to overnight a device never told me he was overnighting anything never told him I had to have it ASAP. This is from something that happened in 2018 she's credited me the $40 but everything else she's just sorry for, well I'm sorry that this company ever ever called me because I would never ever use them.

They wouldn't even get a one if I had an option. They have charged me for three lockouts they said I failed to blow or turned the keys on to soon when all I did was go into the gas station to pea and came back out one minute later and if I failed to blow I would have five minutes they are liers they know we have to have those machines in our car so our hands are tied so they prey on us it's not right at all I haven't even drink in three years and still dealing with crap from it what a headache

Horrible bad equipment. Hidden fees. I was to get off on Feb 14 but because it too them 2 months to send in paperwork it turned to 14.10 hours before removal I get removed said I missed a test when I clearly blew in it green 2 min later without touching goes haywire red whywhy pull over blow again all good. I blew in that machine 15 times that day and 1 was bad come on bullbull. The machines have lots false post but they don't report them that way. I was told it was either a BTC test or missed. Shouldn't they know when I call it's always ya yVya. Either there illerate ir just ell u that so they can get u off phone. Then wack your bank account. They will screw up your machine to have u stuck on 6 months longer. Beware I'm warning you. You wish I listened if I do.

Got this device put on my vehicle in November and having it removed today. They told me that I needed a paper from MVD to have it removed and when I called DMV they did not have record of me even having the device on my car, so $400 for nothing. Drains my battery daily, throws false positives, and random retests every time I stop at a stop sign or traffic light. Customer service is horrific unless you're paying them. Explained situation to MVD and they are working with me to find a legitimate company that will work with me, not against me. Intoxalock is by far the WORST scam I have ever been involved with!

This company it the worst. Had my intoxalock for a year. One time my breathalyzer was "clogged" the day right being recalibrated. I sucked and got a mouth full of nasty gross yuck. When I emailed intoxalock about this I got no response. 3 other times after recalibration the thing would tell me I wasn't blowing hard enough no matter what I did. Again, nothing from intoxalock.
You pay them upwards of 90 dollars a month plus the cost of all recalibration. On top of that they offer nothing for THEIR mistakes.

The Intoxalock device destroyed my first battery within 3 months. That battery was only 2 years old. I was charged $75 every time my battery would go dead. In the beginning, the representatives refused to admit that the device was doing this but I needed to drive my car every day. I bought another Duracell battery for $250. I started having the same issue. I have a remote starter and sometimes it wouldn't let my car completely turn off... dashlights still on. I had to unhook the battery. Weird codes, fast draining of my battery. I had to put my car in maintenance daily to charge my battery. I had a trickle charger too. My car is a newer Cadillac.

Tip for consumers:
To have bought a trickle charger from the start. Unfortunately, after researching the other companies are just as bad. Nobody cares about representing the rights of customers in this industry

No one knows wth they are talking about at this company. Their solution is to just transfer you back and forth to one another. No one knows any answers to any questions. They are rude and very short. They have no customer service at all. All they care about is your money. I wouldn't refer this company to my worst enemy let alone any friends in need of this service. Angie from collections extension 276 was the most smart assed and ignorant person I have ever spoken to. She obviously doesn't know her head from a hole in the ground. Even after I paid and returned the equipment I can't get this company to send a simple letter to PennDOT! What a freaking joke of a company. Oh and by the way Angie in collections is the head of the company with no one to answer to, she has no one above her and she has th final word on all matters at intoxalock. If that was the case you wouldn't be making 8$ an hour to answer phones.

Tip for consumers:
Find another company to use, you will regret ever getting involved with Intoxalock. I will personally be reporting them to the BBB.

These people will chase you down hard to get you to sign a lease and do business with them but after that you will not get any help from them at all. Their representatives do not know anything more than what you read off their web site. If you ask them any question at all they ignore the question and try another written down script that has nothing to do with your issue. They drag their feet for weeks while you are trying to get documentation from them to your state that you have complied with the requirement so they can get more fees, more calibrations, extend your lease etc. NOBODY will give you their full name or an extension to call them back so that their is ZERO accountability. If you email customer support all you get is an email back saying tho take questions to the chat on the web site (no other information, nothing to acknowledge your question). Once you go to the chat it says analysts are busy and it doesn't respond to you so you have to back to calling random representatives. They don't want to respond by email or chat because then you would have written evidence of what they told you.
I would pay more money to anybody else for this service if I had to do it again (I won't). These guys are bad bad news. Stay away.

Just report them to the Better Business Bureau. *******@intoxalock.com is a joke. Their inbox is full and they reject your emails.
Customer service is only good when you are paying and setting up your device. You'll never speak to a human besides that ever again. My device was to be taken out in October 2023 and it's not half way through December 2023. They are still taking my money biweekly, still making me calibrate the device. Still can't get ahold of a human. I have put in multiple device removal requests. I have called customer service to deal with a robot. I have called the state, my lawyer and even the judge to be told "call customer service". Since my device was installed, my lights go on at random times. I'm an asthmatic and I have almost died while driving multiple times breathing 3 or 4 times in a row into the machine because "breathe harder next time". You can't auto start your vehicle or be away from it in winter so you'll freeze until your car warms up and you can take off. I highly do not recommend this company or this device.

Automated system can't find my account so I have to sit through the entire phone tree to find a way to get through. Service reps repeatedly refuse to let me talk to a supervisor. They repeatedly have told me they sent forms to PennDOT, PennDOT says they never received them--multiple times. They have reported to PennDOT AFTER my 1 year restriction was up--causing still more problems. This has been a horrible experience.

Tip for consumers:
I was charged more than I was quoted. I had several false positives which cost me fees--I went to a police station to have a breathalyzer which proves they were false positives. Customer Service is horrible. You're forced to use the automated service but it can never find my account, so I have to sit through the whole phone tree trying to find a way to get through. Customer Service Reps have told me different stories every time. They refuse to let you speak to a supervisor.

Customer service here at this company does not exist. After Colleen and schedule an appointment to have my device installed and give them my credit card number, that's where it stops they got the money and you get no service other than a device that is faulty and flawed. If you wish to receive customer service I need to ask him questions. Call the line like you are a new customer, and they will answer. My device registered me positive for being under the influence and then four minutes later registered me clean, how does that make sense. Overlook I Bluetooth a device started at my vehicle, I was drinking some tea and then the device went off I blew I was Jodie one point over. Four minutes later I blew clean, how does that make sense. I called up the company as I was a new customer and of course they after the phone like they're going to receive money. I explained my situation the representative acknowledged it and said that she understands is it a refund will be issued. Which leads me to assume that I am not the only one. I called back for my refund spoke with a supervisor within 10 seconds I was told no, don't know how she looked at my file that quickly but OK. The only thing that I could think is to acknowledge that their device has a flaw is to acknowledge that the system does not work and that's credibility to the courts. Even though I put myself in the situation which I do acknowledge my money is good customer service should be as good. The system comes highly not recommend it.

NEVER have I EVER gotten such poor customer service. I call. I press #1 for English and yet I'm routed to someone in India who struggles with the English language. I'm due, according to TN DMV/Homeland Security, to have this device removed on 4/19. What I hear from Intoxalock is: "Removable is at OUR discretion!" Excuse me? Intoxalock does NOT decide when I'm done meeting my states requirements. I've been placed on "lock out" several times due to Intoxalock inferior service of which they hope to receive an additional $50 for their failures. I fought it and won. Why? Because they know they're scamming customers. My FIRST advice is DON'T drink and drive. My SECOND advice is go with ANYONE except Intoxalock!

I signed up for a one year contract and I wanted to pay for the whole year up front, so I wouldn't have to have them billing me or taking money out of my bank account. I paid $1,216.80.
8 months later and they are taking money out of my bank account and telling me I ran out of money. I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS!
I called them and they told me that they didn't bill me for all of the FEES AT ONCE... the fees are separate from leasing the device. Unless you cancel road side assistance and sleave fee... they will bill you for it. And you have to email them to cancel those fees. The sales person doesn't explain any fees or extras when you give them your credit card info. Once they have your card, they start charging you bi weekly.
I am very unhappy with Intoxiaock.
The sales person never explained any of the fees from state patrol or any of them.
I was led to believe that I was paid in full... and now I'am getting billed for fees i was never told about.

I have been trying for almost 2 weeks to get a compliance report that I need for the court. Each and every time I am told 24-48 hours, and that it will "now' be expedited... and... nothing. I am then contacted for BASIC information (10 days later) regarding the county and court case number, which should have been requested from the start. Another delay. I was told specifically earlier this week I would have the report no later than Wed (Its Friday today). Each and every time I am on the phone or chat online no less than an hour. Each and every time, they "resolve" the issue and still no report. Yet they have no issue billing me right on time. Had they processed this request in a timely manner, I would not have been billed this last time (device should be removed by now). Sigh. I cannot seem to speak directly to the compliance dept, or get a hold of a supervisor. Its crap. Frustrating and an abuse of paid for services.
Extremely unhappy.

Update: after reading the other reviews I realized the same thing has happened to me. Repeated draining of my battery and being charged for unnecessary lock outs. I wish I would have read the reviews 1st.

Do yourself a favor and go with someone else.

Tip for consumers:
customer service is nearly non existent, frustrating, and when you do make contact, don't expect any true or timely follow up.

What i WILL say is that the company that has installed and serviced my device, CAVE AUDIO, in Woodburn , OR, is AMAZING. The owner is friendly, personable, HONEST, and knowledgeable. Prices are more than fair, and he always aims to accommodate.

Intoxalock, however, quite the opposite.

Highly recommend if you find yourself in need of an IID do not use Intoxalock! Poor customer service unfair treatment and unfair fines! If you do have an issue to discuss it is highly likely they will just simply hang up on you instead of listening. CALL ANOTHER COMPANY! Trust me. They do not work well with you if you have vehicle maintenance or any trouble with your device or any mishap of any kind!

I had a intoxalock device installed after filing an indigent form filed with the state every month I had to refill it for 6 months after 6 months they approved it but said I owe for 6 months this company is fraudulent now I have to go through another company for 6 more months or take them to court this company needs to be shut down no company should take advantage of a bad situation on someone they even double charged me for the recalibration

Intoxalock takes advantage of a customer's bad situation and rips people out of they're hard earned money hiding they're deceit behind red tape fine print and paperwork

This company is horrible to work with. They take full advantage of clients, charging fees with NO COST BREAKDOWN or justification. It's a money scam and they use "state requirements" as their "justification". So the state wants you to take additional money with no explanation from paying customers? Great business model. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

This is ABSOLUTELY the WORST business. I cant believe that they are still operating, CLASS ACTION SUIT every heard of it? I was lied to when signing, I have to have this device for 5 years and I was looking for a good deal when shopping around. I should have done more homework because this place is a leach of the worst kind. I was told that I was going to pay Around $100 per month, all fees and costs included. I am completely blind sighted each billing cycle with fees that I was not told about. The lease is confusing when talking to their reps (if I can get them on the phone) they give information that twists the plot even more. Some law firm should look into this place and cash in on a class action because this business is fraudulent. DON"T, FOR THE LIFE OF YOU, DON"T SIGN UP! Save your money.

I got charged a lock out fee twice and I was not in the inside the car! I turn off the car and went around the car grab my lunch bag and gear out side of the car went inside my job clocked in at 10:58pm and Intoxalock said I missed two retest after 11:01pm. I had to pay an extra $79 cause I missed a retest. Customer service was no help all the man wanted to know if I was with what credit card was going to pay. Unbelievable! How is this even legal?
