I had this device literally since Saturday, Nov. 28,2020 until Dec. 1,2020! I have called many many times to complain. Haven't driven my car since Saturday when I put the device in. Wanna know why?! Cause my battery is drained! Finally recharged it this morning, only to be stranded at a store. The battery died again. Now I have to get my car towed. Please stay away from this company. I'm a voluntary account. They have discouraged me greatly from doing the right thing. I have already spent over $200 in Uber rides and a battery charger! For the rep. To tell my end bill is $109 and I only had this device less than 72 hours is beyond me!
I could write a book with all the issue I've had with this company. No idea if the others are better, but no way they can ne worse. Not broke anymore talking to a lawyer tomorrow about the BS violations
We voluntarily installed a unit in my husbands vehicle. It has been nothing but problems with random readings from 0-0.7. Apparently anything but plain water sets it off. Pizza, mouthwash, chapstick, hand sanitizer, diesel fuel, you get the picture.
Once you get the unit installed you will find a total change in the way you are treated. Their customer service staff is extremely rude. They treat you like you are a criminal and insinuate that only alcohol has set it off. Fortunately, this was a voluntary installation, so we are trying to figure out exactly what is wrong that he keeps getting random elevated readings.
What one representative says will be the total opposite of what the next one says. At one point in time I had a representative laughing at me when I was trying to let her know if my frustration and trying to troubleshoot why the unit keeps Giving anything above zero. Getting a replacement handheld to see if this one is defective, is like an act of getting Congress to pass a law.
Trying to get a hold of a supervisor to troubleshoot and also to discuss a billing problem is another matter. I think they call this the bait and switch! What they quoted from the inquiry to the actual billing amount but they are deducting every two weeks is different. They tack on extra charges that you did not agree to, tell you they will review the phone conversations, and weeks later they still "reviewing it". That don't call you back, you always have to call them and speak to the next agent, and then have to go through the whole story AGAIN, because they don't review the notes from the previous conversations.
They advised us not to sign a lease while it was being reviewed, however, they said we may experience problems with the handheld because of it. At least on this point they got it correct…It has been nothing but problems.
Thank goodness that this is not mandatory.
Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I can only imagine the frustration of customers who are Court ordered and end up getting locked out consistently, just to be charged more fees!

This business is very unprofessional from "not being able to transfer you to a supervisor", to not taking any responsibility for the Intoxalock camera and blow machine, which is outdated, draining your car battery after 1.5 days in my experience, so, I missed a court date and was only able to drive my car for approx. 5 days out of 71 to 72 days. They would not give me a new lease for only 90 days, which, is how long I needed it for, but said I had to sign the original lease for a year. Then, when I had an early removal, wanted to charge me for the rest of the lease! One employee even told me to "call your probation officer" to which I replied, "I don't have one!" I had to tow my car for a lockout, which they charged $81.00 for when my husband, not knowing their, "it's stated in the lease" policy about not putting your key in the ignition, but blowing first when he was trying to get my battery charged. Nothing but hell and no acceptance of liability with this company. Their website states, "Washington driver's can have an Interlock device for less than $3.00 per day, which is a blatant lie, as I paid $454.78 for 71 to 72 days, which calculates to a whopping $6.40 a day. This is only a ploy for the state and Washington state patrol, with their faulty assessments, urinalysis, and false Draeger breathalyzer tests, that aren't reliable at all, along with treatment facilities to gouge the regular Joe and get more money out of its citizens that probably can't afford it. This is criminal behavior and I'd state all of this under oath, as these are the facts and only the facts. Buyer beware, I should've checked reviews, but they're approved by the State as well as the testing and counseling centers that basically give the state kickbacks just to favor the "justice" system and not its citizens. They are only out for themselves and money that we are paying for through our overly stated house and property taxes, inflated state sales taxes, and now this! When does it stop. These plans are not for my benefit! Their "towing" only covers 7-10 miles, so when I went into lockout, my husband had to borrow our neighbors' car trailer, or incur over the miles fees! I even missed my court date on 10-25, due to a dead battery! CRIMINALS!
Tip for consumers:
Use literally ANYONE else and do yourself a favor! I almost stroked out and was crying every time I had to talk to them, which, was a lot. Surprised that I did not have a heart attack or stroke as both run in my family.

None, I don't have to drive, I'm retired! I'm gonna forgo not driving, as that's what I've been doing with Intoxalock's services draining my battery, and I'll probably have to get a new one!
Choosing this company was the second worst decision I've ever made. The first being getting myself in this situation to begin with. Before you are an actual customer you can call and get right through. They were very nice when answering my questions. I thought ok maybe this company isn't so bad. Boy was I wrong. As soon as the interlock was installed in my vehicle and I signed the lease everything changed. I tried to call them about a form they are supposed to complete for Penn Dot. I was on hold for 30 minutes before anyone answered. I finally got this guy that could barely speak English and he argued with me saying that's not there responsibility to fill out the form. It states right on the paper they must complete it. I ended up having to call Penn Dot and they gave me a number for the dui compliance team. I called them and they had to contact Intoxolock to get them to complete the form. When I received the email with the completed form some of my info was wrong. So I've been trying to get ahold of them again with no luck so far. While I was on hold I looked over the lease agreement. Beware of fees they don't tell you about. When i called originally i asked what the total would be for the entire year. She quoted me a price and I asked her if there was any additional charges for this and she said no. Turns out there are to the tune of 300 more dollars. Even the guy at the garage that installed the interlock told me that this company has a ton of complaints. I wish I would have done my research and went with someone else. To late now hopefully I can make it through the next year with a shady company and be done.
THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. The most stressful part of this entire DUI experience has been dealing with this lack of customer service, nevermind support.
My name is Tim. Well i have been using their service and i will be using their service again. Thumbs up for intoxalock.com

Just now
I honestly have no idea how this
I honestly have no idea how this company is this highly rated- short of buying reviews.
Been with this company for a number of years and they are absolute garbage.
Problems with their system every other month seems like and more than 3 of them were catastrophic failures preventing me from even starting my car or making it to the dealership to have it serviced.
Oh yeah, and it will definitely not start in -40F so be sure to keep your survival kit in this car so you dont freeze to death.
Add to that either incomplete or inaccurate (sometimes totally false) information, youd better be prepared for lockouts and extensions on your state's program in order to get your license back.
Most recently I received 180 day extension to my requirement because of something that's been malfunctioning for the past 6 months.
Oh, and you'll talk to 3 different people and receive 3 different responses.
Do your homework and you'll find others just as good and for a little less. I promise you.
I got rid of their device a week ago and went with a better company that has 5 star rating while they have 1 star. Since I have stop doing business with this company and closed my account with them and returned their device, they have to continue to throw random fee charges on my card over $500 worth and I'm not even with them anymore! Called customer service and they do not answer and when you do get them on the phone (only cause I click the option to pay "my bill") the guy answer says how can I help you and I tell him I don't have their device anymore and closed my account and don't do business with them anymore so why am I still being charged hundreds of dollars over something I don't even have no do business with this company any longer! He then says oh you have to call back in 2 hours my system is down. He only says this cause he can see I'm not there to pay their fraud charges and no longer wants to help me. I told him I call last time and he told me the 2 hour thing and I already waited 2 hours. He then says oh well I meant 8 hours before you try again and then hangs up in my face and before hanging up would not let me talk or get a word in with out talking over me and yelling louder so he didn't have to hear what I had to say about the charges before he hung up on me. This company is a fraud and they just do fake charges to get your money when you have done nothing wrong! They should be looked into by the FBI because this company is very sketch and does alot of fraud charges that aren't true and try and get you in trouble on purpose so they can charge you more. This company is a joke do not use them switch to another company if you know what's good for you. The company I use now is way better and isn't if a little be as bad as this company is and doesn't make you get false fail test from using hand sanitizer! Again don't go with this company. Zero star rating from me!
Tip for consumers:
It's another company out there and they are amazing! Don't you Intoxalock! They are scammers!!
Hold times are unreal to speak to a person and you're lucky if you get a person who speaks or understands English. Just hope you never find yourself in an emergency situation. Their equipment is faulty at best, especially in extremely cold climates, Yes Intoxalock... even when the device is put into "power saving mode". During these said cold temperatures, the hand-held device will malfunction, even during random testing, causing a violation, only to retest seconds later with no violations. Once the vehicle is restarted the hand-held device then reads "3 days to service before a lockout". At this point you are then charged a $75 fee for a lockout. So, Riddle me this... Their equipment has malfunctioned, The handheld device states I have 3 days before a lockout and even if I have it serviced within those three days, I'm still getting charged a lockout fee?! Your next step is to call the customer service line again, wait on hold for another unrealistic length of time to request a refund in which they will review and get back to you with a decision.
**IF YOU ARE A WASHINGTON STATE RESIDENT**
(I can't blame Intoxalock for this)
Washington state law will not allow intoxalock to remotely reset your handheld device in an emergency lockout situation for you to drive to the nearest service center to have your device service or calibrated. You must have your vehicle towed at your cost whether or not it is your fault or because of the companies faulty equipment! Washington State also requires those of us who make a certain amount of money per year or more to pay an additional monthly fee for those who cannot afford their interlocking ignition device. So if you live in Washington state, be prepared for that with any interlocking ignition company.
Junk, Here is the install wiring for intoxalock. It will show how to bypass. Should not be that hard.
DON'T GO WITH INTOXALOCK!
SINCE I'VE BEEN WITH THEM THE MN DMV HAS PROLONGED MY IGNITION INTERLOCK OVER A YEAR AND A HALF.
There's a bunch of different companies besides INTOXALOCK.
I've been with INTOXALOCK for almost 3 years and have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS.
Customer service is more than unhelpful, there is an unbearable wait time every time you call for assistance. To finally speak with someone who never knows anything. Even the mangers that are supposed to help you never get back with you.
They charge you for any mishaps that happen when their breathalyzer is hooked up in you car.
You can't get information one you intial first starts a month. There's no way to count them and they change your start and end dates periodically throughout your term with them.
This company has no morel's or ethics their out to get your money and get you to be on the program as long as they can.
SINCE I'VE BEEN WITH THEM THE MN DMV HAS PROLONGED MY IGNITION INTERLOCK OVER A YEAR AND A HALF.
I've never been dirty and have been sober for 3 years. All because they don't intial starts and not knowing how many I have a month.
I'VE tried for years to get it right with this company to no avail. As Monday I'll be switching companies. I CAN'T WAIT!
INTOXALOCK IS A SCAM. They have absolutely no clue what's going on and will scam you. DO NOT PICK THEM. This is now the 3rd official issue I have had with them. Michael David with their "front line" is rude and incredibly unhelpful.
They sent an email on 9/2 advising my camera wasn't positioned correctly. I think it was my window shade, I live in Las Vegas and it's a million degrees. I must have blown into it without realizing it was up so they emailed me and claimed to give me the opportunity to fix the issue. I made sure to take down the shades every time.
THE VERY NEXT DAY the dmv sent me a notice advising I got extended 6 months because I tampered with my device AND NO ONE THAT IVE TALKED TO CAN TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED. When I said I wanted a call back the next day from someone who could tell me something he told me I wouldn't receive one. He also told me it would take all night to go through my files and he wouldn't do that.
Please don't pick this company for your interlock, they will screw you over.
The most predatory, dishonest, fee-ridden company ever!
Don't make a bad situation worse by using Intoxalock.
The representatives lie to you every single time you call them. I had a faulty device installed that was drawing 12x the amount of power than it was supposed to from my car battery. I had to pay to get it towed since it would not respond to a jumpstart. I had to pay the autoshop to fix it. In the whole process, Intoxalock charged me a lockout fee, even though I was not in a lockout -- their faulty device had killed yet another car battery (this was #2 of 4 total, going on 5). Representatives told me over and over again this money would be refunded. It was not. Now I've had my device out for about a month and they're still charging me fees. Apparently, in the fine print of a very long contract, it says you have to cancel roadside assistance separately by email. I was not aware. I was not made aware when I called to cancel my account. Last week I was told by a representative I would be refunded within 72 hours. This has not happened. Today another representative told me the 15th I would be refunded. Knowing they lie, I had her connect me to a manager who told me something completely different. She had to complete extra steps (that the rep was supposed to do, but didn't) to process the refund. Now I'm told it will be there by next week. We will see, but I doubt it.
The devices themselves drain car batteries like crazy (yes, even if you put it in "power saver mode"). Since my device was removed, my car still doesn't operate. I jumpstart it at night and it's dead by morning. Now I'll have to pour more money into this car, and meanwhile Intoxalock is still charging me.
The automated customer service menu is its own nightmare, designed to make it impossible to reach a human being if you want to accomplish anything besides learning your account balance or calibration date. It takes on average 20-30 minutes to reach someone every time I call. My auto shop experiences the same frustrating process; they hate dealing with them as much as I do.
I wish I had done more research before choosing them. They've unnecessarily cost me thousands of dollars on top of an already expensive mistake.
It's very easy to use and to get installed but when it's time to get it taken out they do not understand the need for the DDS approved paperwork
Had intoxalock installed in my 2021 super duty 8-1-22
On 8-30-22 truck would not start didn't not violate waited 20-30 mins truck started took to the install center for a inspection they checked ever thing all good, 8-31-22 truck wouldn't start waited 30 mins started talked to intoxalock they weren't rude and told me have it removed we I can't do that with out a charge, they then order a new unit to be installed in that time of waiting for the new unit my batteries I have two in this truck thankfully, still no new unit 9/4/22 woke up to my truck horn blowing full steam I had to unhook my horn from the harness( I could not unhook my batteries that's a violation loss of power) now have to buy 2 new batteries 200 + each batteries plus lose my truck for the day witch I own a construction co so it's needed on a Daily basis, I lost 4 days now of work my self plus my customers are losing trust me being reliable not good in construction I get it i out my self here but I also doing ever thing right to get back on track intoxalock is not I was told it takes 10xs the power to run this over manufacturer recommended,
Where to start with this awful company? I was to have a 3 month lease with a calibration due every 30 days. They set it up for 6 months, with calibration every 60 days. I had to call them each time to get the calibration at 30 days and the service shop would never get their work orders, either. It's very hard to get anyone on the phone and when you do, the customer service is absolutely terrible. They'll tell you they sent the work order when they didn't, they'll tell you that you need to talk to another department, they'll tell you to email a support address (that NEVER responds to your email by the way)... they are just TERRIBLE. They were charging me for some sort of roadside assistance and even though I got the device removed Nov 1, they've continued to charge me for this service I never asked for. The lease ended and I don't have a device in my car! What on earth are they even charging me for?! So, I charged back their fees with my credit card. Today I got notified that I owe them $39 immediately and it is considered "past due." $30 is a chargeback fee! If they think they are going to see even a single penny from me, they are dead wrong. If they try to charge my card, I will charge that back as a fraudulent charge. These people are THE WORST. And at least in my area, I really didn't get much of a choice as to who to go with. AVOID INTOXALOCK!
And the device is terrible. It's this big huge and heavy clunky box, the mouthpiece is always falling off, it incessantly beeps at you and will even honk your horn if you don't blow into it within a minute (even though it says you have 5 minutes to re-test). The rolling re-tests are required far too frequently and trying to blow into that thing the exact way you had to not to fail it was tiring and painful and I don't even know how it can be safe to drive when you have to do that every 15-22 minutes.
Do not go with this company! Also, I will absolutely reach out to a lawyer and the BBB if they continue to harass me for money to "close the account" when the account was already closed over 2 months ago! STAY AWAY!
Intoxalock was great when it came to getting me set up for the installation, and the device itself was fine once I got the hang of it and was careful, but when it came time for removal, I was hung up on, unable to be helped over their chat feature, and despite it being almost two weeks after I was eligible to get my device removed, wouldn't send a work order to my service center to get it out.
Since I was authorized by my monitoring authorities to get it removed, called and verified that with them, and have my certified driving record proof that I no longer need the device, I got it removed, and now my service center is peeved because they can't close out the device since Intoxalock didn't and wouldn't schedule my removal even when I tried calling, was then hung up on, tried the chat feature (and was told to call the number where I was hung up on) and on their website their "device removal request" apparently doesn't work. Now I'm probably going to get hit with extra fees because I didn't wait for them even though I was given the go ahead by my monitoring authorities and the IID requirement for me ceased on 12/17.

Update to my update--six months later (June 2023):
I would recommend THOROUGHLY researching other companies in addition to this one. The entire 7-month long experience (one month longer than it should have been due to "complications") has been nightmarish. The response team to poor reviews are able to salvage SOME of the experience, but not enough to warrant anything greater than a 1-star review.
In my time with Intoxalock, after experiencing theft of property from the shop that installed my device (an Intoxalock-partnered and -authorized auto shop), technical issues on multiple occasions that resulted in me being unduly charged, and severe incompetence in their compliance department that also resulted in inaccurate charges and a delay in having my device removed, an associate finally reached out to remedy the situation and reverse the charges. Excepting the stress and time required for me to manage and resolve these issues on my own, despite having spoken to multiple customer service reps over the course of WEEKS, the issues were FINALLY resolved.
I don't know that there is a better company out there, but I know this one was awful.
Update to initial review (Nov 2022): A supervisor reached out to me to explain that I likely worked with a new, less knowledgeable representative who might require more coaching. He did a great job working with me to adjust some of the charges and overages on my initial billing. He was also friendly, informative, and provided excellent customer service. Although, because of my original experience, I can't completely justify a 5-star rating, his remedying this situation has turned this experience around for me, and I'm glad to provide a 4-star rating and even recommend this company.
Tip for consumers:
Search other IID companies first. I'm sure they're all awful, but hopefully, there's a less awful one out there.

While the agent was very friendly, the initial information and quote she provided me was misleading. She quoted an installation that was up to $75-100 LESS expensive than what installation turned out to cost (and that doesn't even include the tax). Since I was price shopping, the ACTUAL installation cost was a shock and was upsetting. Since I assumed she was the professional, I did not expect I would have to call around to verify her quote was correct. However, at this point, I felt committed to stick with Intoxalock because I had already been charged a $30 "setup fee" before she could begin calling around for offers near me--a setup fee that I feel is also misleading as it simply serves as a fee to hook you in before they begin to research locations and actual pricing; had I known what that fee actually was, I could have knowingly done the work myself. Although I will give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she was provided with incorrect information on installation costs, I still feel swindled and largely dissatisfied with this company. The ONLY saving grace was a rebate offer she provided me (and I actually don't know if I will, in fact, get the rebate b/c I allegedly receive it from the installation shop, an appt which is scheduled for next week--so fingers crossed).
Tip for consumers:
Verify the quote information provided by asking for shops Intoxalock works with and verifying pricing before committing.

DO NOT USE INTOXALOCK! Biggest rip off ever. I was with lifsafer but most centers closed where I was at. Paid 150 for an install. INTOXALOCK is charging you the install, a lease payment, and a biweekly charge of 53 dollars on top of the shop service fee of 40 every time u go in... doesn't matter if u have a defective device or if your battery goes dead or gets unhooked once. Got charged 40 dollar shop fee for unhooking my battery once with a 30 dollar waiver on the interlock side. 48hrs later I get the same lockout reading which now their asking for 70 dollars to reset again even though it's device issues. Supposedly if the device gets too hot in ur car I won't register your breath temperature correctly causing a lockout. So if you live anywhere that gets over 80 degrees then please take my advice and never choose INTOXALOCK. WE PAY TO HAVE A DEVICE THAT IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITHOUT ISSUES... THEY CAN'T KEEP THEIR END OF THE DEAL BY BEING A RELIABLE COMPANY WITH A WORKING INTERLOCK DEVICE. COMPANY DOESN'T WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT EITHER. $#*! INTOXALOCK AND I HOPE THEIR WHOLE SCAM BURNS DOWN AROUND THEM. $#*!ING CROOKS BY FAR.
Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your money through these $#*!ing crooks. Get a reliable device and know ALL THE FEES before you give them your money. And the wires for the device were never secured so mine will drop down by my gas and brake pedal causing a potential serious wreck from Idiots that install the device half $#*!.
Josh Greenfield sold me a device with a hole bunch of lies I was told by him as long as I provide the papers that were given to me by them to the dmv I would be able to drive
Let me note my mom is disabled and owns the car that I purchase a device from intoxalock its really big balky and I never new about any of the hidden fees until after I got all the paper work
Now josh told me it was free install lies it was 130$ to install
Josh never told me how long it would take to install i never new until I got the car to the shop
it could take a hole day
After finding all of this out I called to get the interlock uninstalled
They said they would not do it with out a probation letter and that I'm on probation
Now with that being said I have completed probation in 2015 and its 2020 now
The main thing here is make sure the rep. Explains everything to you first before you say OK
This would not be such a big deal but my mom is disabled and I have to babies at the house under 2 now the only way we can go anywhere is if we walk or take a cab
Because the dmv would not except the intoxalock paperwork
Let me add its not easy to get ahold of these people I spent over 10 hours on the phone and still got no where along with a doesn't hang ups
As far as nightmares go, Intoxalock gives, "nightmares", a whole new meaning. I spoke to Mo and Mo told me that it would be smart to get this device before I went to court. Mo asked me for card information and said she would start the process. Mo took $51.64 off of my debit card.
As far as getting this device, I decided to wait until after court to see if I would even need this device. I called back a few days later to let them know and they told me they would cancel my appointment and they would leave the account on hold until after court. I did not want them doing that, but they assured me that they would refund every penny.
After court, I called to let them know I definitely did not need their device and to please cancel the account and refund my money as they had promised. I talked to multiple agents daily after this, because my money was never refunded. I was hung up on and told that they did not know who I spoke to. They put me on hold, asked me if I found out additional information on who I spoke to, and hung up on me.
Finally, a supervisor assured me that my money would be refunded through a goodwill credit. Keep in mind, this was supposed to be a canceled account. I asked how goodwill credit would get back to me in an account that does not exist? Then, they assured me that it was a refund.
When I got off of the phone, I had an email saying that $51.64 was taken out of my banking account and that I was put on autopay. Every agent and supervisor gave me multiple lies and assured me that everything was taken care of. This is the most horrible business that I have ever dealt with in my entire life. As far as ratings, there is nothing low enough that even exists to rate them. This is a horrible company, horrible customer service, and crooks defines this business perfectly.
Tip for consumers:
It would have been helpful to know to never call this business. This business is full of crooks and is beyond unprofessional.

I got the Intoxalock installed on January 6 on January 16. It drained my battery. After getting a hold of roadside service, they told me to call AAA so I canceled my roadside service and now I have AAA I had another unit put in which was also faulty got another handheld device that was faulty. Finally got my fifth hand held, and it is working for the most part, I almost got hit yesterday around the rotary because the machine went off. I let it go off and got around the rotary before the guy was too close to me. I told a customer rep today that if it's the interlocks on my life it's gonna be me not the machine, they are the worst company ever hard to get a hold of and really rip you off as far as money. If I had the money, I'd switch to another company the unit and its self is very dangerous while driving cell phones are illegal, but this machine is legal, they say pull off to the side of the road. How do you do that in traffic or off the highway? I really would like to know how many accidents or deaths have been caused by this machine. I got out of my car last night after putting it on PowerSave and was walking away And the horn and the lights started going off I had no idea why I had to get back in and restart the car so now I can't call the car possessed anyway the only way we're going to get anything done with this is from the people that are using the machine you need to post on true pilot, you can look up the CEO on Lincoln and let them know what's going on You can also consumer reports and put it on there and of course the Better Business Bureau. Write your DMV when I went out for my road test I had to pull over twice my DMV driver was not impressed and violations. Should not be for stupid things that you can't get a breath and it only should be used in alcohol that's it. That's what it was made for, so yeah they are scamming. I'm doing everything that I can as I can say people is do as much as you can and if you have to get a lawyer. I keep a journal now on phone calls reviews anything that I have done.

I was lied to from day one. I was told they are a transparent company, with no hidden fees. Lies! I can't even begin to explain the crookedness of this company. I have been locked out for nothing, more than once. My wife and I made a trip last Christmas season to do some shopping about an hour away. I drove there, obviously my car started. We shopped for 2-3 hrs and didn't eat or drink anything. I was locked out for nothing. Similar things happened over the year, like cold weather killing my battery, and being charged for not even driving. I was due to have the device removed 11/22 and because they are so slow and trying to rape you for every cent, it took an extra month to be removed. Last week when picking my son up, I blew in it for the 3-4 time in 30 minutes and breath didn't register. I was able to blow in it minutes later and passed. They know I wasn't drinking, due to the fact that it finally did go through and told me the fee for the lockout would be waived. It wasn't and I was told, it was due to previous bs lockout. I know that this is supposed to be an inconvenience, but this company is the WORST! I highly recommend going elsewhere. Last thing, I called on Monday to schedule removal and customer service put me on hold to call garage. When she came back on, she lied to me and told me, the garage didn't have time to get me in and unfortunately I had to take it in to have it calibrated on Monday and back in on Tuesday to have it removed. When I asked the guys at garage, they informed me that not only did they have time to remove it, no one from Intoxalock called. I'm sure this was a ploy to get more money from me. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. You've been warned!
Sooo, in this latest episode of "how can intoxalock make your day worse!" I shut my car off and went into a store to pick up a few things. Never once heard the device make a noise. Was in the store for a half hour and came back out to find that my device was in a lockout. I call the company, they say I'm in a lockout due to not blowing for the retest. Funny, my vehicle was turned off and I was inside the store when they say the retest went off. Even have pics from inside the store at the same time it was supposedly going off about a retest. I call the company, they say I had to have left my car running when it went off for a retest. Guess they don't realize that gas is too expensive right now to leave the car running. Now, I have had that device for over 2.5 years now and have never had a lockout for failing to retest or having alcohol in my system, I think I know how it works. Now I'm all the sudden being told that I have to wait for 2-3 minutes after shutting off my vehicle. I have never once been told that in the entire time I have had this garbage in my vehicle. Oh, I called a day later and the next agent I spoke with said that she was going to do an investigation and get back to me within 24 hours. That was Monday, 2 days ago. Btw, I have a camera in my vehicle and the lady told me that she could check the video to see if I had shut off and exited the vehicle before the restest went off. Plus, looking at the bill, it's not a $75 fee, it's an $80 fee. Think I'm gonna have to my lawyer in on this one. Intoxalock, ya'll have gotten enough of my damn money and if there was another company within 50 miles, I would drop your sorry company. Thank God I should only have a couple of months left with this crap!
