I had to wait on hold for a very long time BUT I'm so thankful for Mrs. Kilbore (badge number *******245). She was amazing and helped me with my issue! She was so kind, very patient and explained everything to me. She absolutely deserves a raise!

This site is the most ridiculous and inaccessible sure I've ever visited everyone doesn't have debt for you to check identity I. E. (Credit card, auto loan, mortgage loan, student loans, etc). Extremely displeased. Then when I call IRS they say due to call volume and what you are calling about you can't be helped at this time and hung up in my ear. I bet if I don't pay they will be quick to send me a letter in the $#*!ing mail though. This is ridiculous
If you have to make payments it's so confusing. They will take money out of your bank but the balance you own never goes down you wondering where did they money goes who are you paying. When calling you ll be hold for hours and hours even you pick the option for them to call you back they ll called and still put you on. Get ready to have a irritating day when calling. I wonder if those people for irs are even human beings and how does tax work for them. Do they get a pass since they are working for irs? I have been waiting months for my refund. The website is absolutely useless, they won't take your calls so how are you supposed to even find out why you haven't received your refund. They don't hesitate to take your money but take their time returning it... they should have to pay it back WITH INTEREST! Talk about a communist organization! If I could give no stars, I would as they don't even deserve one star. I bet they never stopped getting a paycheck even though they are not doing their job. They probably get pleasure out of causing stress on Americans. It's probably not even Americans working for them.

If this organization was any slower, they'd be moving backwards. I filed my taxes in March 2020. These idiots sent me a notice in November stating I owed money. After reviewing my taxes with a CPA at a cost of $400.00, I resubmitted my proposal. These loafers took a 2 month holiday and just opened back up at the end of January 2021. They sent me a letter indicating they were looking into my proposal, but also told me if I owed any outstanding money that interest would accrue even those these worthless government employees were not working for several months. The IRS is the absolute most inefficient government organization in America. It is impossible to contact these clowns by phone.

Called regarding an important question that our companies payroll provider received regarding tax refund. Held for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Finally a lady come on and I explained my question. She asked me to hold over and over for about 30 minutes. The next time they picked up I was disconnected. Horrible service.
All these news post about releasing stimulus checks and I am social security disability with direst deposit and never got my check when I barely make it month to month with house payment utilities and insurance and food. There is no one to call or email it's just plain ridiculous the lack of trust And lack of honesty the government is giving people. Next is going to the papers and news media to call out the irs on their dishonesty. People like us are barely surviving and you wanna give false hope to everyone.
The irs has owes me money since February. I pay taxes I expect it back on time, it's July already. Last year was the same issue, but if we owe the IRS we have to pay by a date or pay fees along with it. America wake up this is BS! Why pay taxes if they treat us like $#*!. Everyone keeps bending over for the irs if we stick together and make a stand we can over power the whole system that is corrupt.
I understand why IRS would use a 3rd party to process, file taxes and etc! Here I am trying to log-in but it has my old email address of which I'm trying to change. It doesn't give you an option to only text you the code, it also is asking for the code from my old email address too.

2019 Amended Return. IRS.gov shows I'm due the reimbursement and that they "transferred it out". Shows I received an "adjustment" in Sept 2021 and notice of this in Oct 2021. I never heard a thing from the IRS. I called regularly from March 2021 to Feb 2022 to find out what was going on. Finally got through in Feb 2022 and the agent looked it all up, recited what I already could see online and, ultimately, didn't have a clue how I could get my money. Referred me to "advanced tax law" department of the IRS. No idea how to reach this alleged department. I literally spent 30 hours on hold over these calls, only to be hung up on by the phone system, and, most of the time, they were too busy and just hung up on me. Called dozens of time. Absolutely asinine!... and not sure where to go from here. I owe this year. Thinking about paying what I owe minus what they owe me but suspect they'd find a way to penalize me with no appeal or recourse.
Every time you call their phone number and enter your social, the same annoying $#*! voice says sorry we are having "technical difficulties". There is no way to reach them and they have a horrible phone system. Honestly listening to that voice is the worst thing in the world!
I gave a one star review to this execrable agency because zero stars was not an option. The IRS continues to demonstrate why they have supplanted the post office as the poster child for government sloth and incompetence. I sent in my 2021 tax return 7 months ago and am still waiting for a refund, or at least a status update. It was a paper return, so I didn't expect anything before Labor Day, but this is absurd, particularly since the IRS already has the data needed to issue refunds or invoices without requiring the taxpayers to make a redundant filing. I've contacted my Senator for help, but I have no confidence in this agency.

No info of why you get locked out, no way to contact anyone at all, no nothing. You take money every damn week from me but i don't exist in the system so you cant tell me if i'm eligible for a stimulus check? Then i would like all my tax money back for the past 30 years.
I have never met someone competent that works for the IRS. Horrible customer service, messed up all three stimulus checks for me. For example, the IRS sent the first stimulus check to an address that was on my file two years prior to my current address. Yes - I had everything already updated. No one will answer the phone and if they do the call will be disconnected. IRS: great job on being the most unprofessional and unskilled organization that I have ever known.
I have been trying to get in touch with someone to see the status of our ERC. 10 tries and no answer! All on different days. Call volume too high over and over. This is what we pay for? No help at all. A private company would be out of business. Where can you call to talk with someone. ERC can not be done online. I would give them a minus 10 stars if I could.
I have tried to call IRS and no one answers the phone. I keep getting recordings. Even if staff members are working from home, they could have a phone set up to take calls and a computer to access IRS records. My husband received his economic stimulus payment and I have not received my payment. I am eligible to receive it The Get My Payment site is worthless. We file our taxes together and have the same bank accounts. This should not be difficult. I am not sure how you can make this type of error.
I have now called the IRS multiple times to get an update on a payment trace. Each time I have called, I have had the same experience. There has to be a better way than having someone wait for 45 minutes to an hour to get in touch with a representative to then be transferred to a line that repeatedly states there is high call volume and hangs up on you. Either have more online tools to help with tax payer issues or beef up your customer service department. Awful service.
We have waited for a year trying to get our refund. Bloody useless, they don't answer the phone, they don't take any records! I wonder why the hell I declared my taxes! I'm overspending money because I have to pay somebody else to contact them on my behalf but they are a bunch of monkeys!. First world country? USA bloody systems are crap. Unfortunately filed my taxes at the wrong time and everyone and their grandma needs their stimulus check. Yesterday was my 21 business day mark and now there is not one associate to answer my phone call so I can figure out when I will get my tax refund. I'm sorry that $873 is like gold to me and yes I would like my refund sir.

I have for 3 weeks been on hold for hours to speak to someone. It's quite disheartening with everything that has happened that our government has not prepared itself. The man I spoke to told me I was going on a weird tangent... no I simply didn't understand what you were saying. I'm super disappointed in the country I live in, it's not longer the great America.
You try calling to do the right thing no one knows what are you calling about you clearly give them enough information letter codes meaning number ect. And still they have no idea what are you calling about is insane really and in top of that you playing tag over the phone not for a day yes not a day but for months is incredible worse customer service I ever experience.

I had a tax issue and have been trying to get it resolved for almost 2 years. The department sent me a letter in December of 2019 saying it needed 60 days to send me a full response. That was over 300 days ago. I realize we are in the middle of a Pandemic but this should have been resolved well before then. On Monday, I was on the phone for approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes waiting before I got a message saying " there was a technical issue" and kicking me back to the main screen. I called again on Tuesday and got a hold of someone who told me they were not sure how to solve my issue so they would have their manager call me back within 24-48 hours. Never got a call back. Called back in again today and have been on hold for an hour and 51 minutes and nobody has picked up. This is the worst organization I have ever dealt with.
I refuse to believe my tax paying dollars are being put in this slum. Called multple times, waited for an hour on hold and got hung up on. During the conversation, the lady was less than a minute of help to my situation with foul insinuations of an intelligence efficiency on my end. If there was an alternative service, I would take it in a heart beat. Unfortunately there isn't and all I can do is rant
In 2022, I filed a tax return for self employment. There was not a lot of income, but enough to receive a return. The IRS to this date has not reviewed the return and when I call, they always hang up. So, where did it go? Why do they hand up every time I call? The money received from the return would have helped my homeless situation. Currently, I reside in Saint Paul, MN and live outside. People ask why," do you not go to a shelter?" The two shelters available to me are filled with disease and addicts. I have tried other programs and the only way to get help in Minnesota is to have a disability or a drug addiction. So, where is my REFUND?
