Overall, JCP is the best shopping site anyone can visit. They have quality items and a great value. I have been shopping at their brick and mortor stores for a long time, now my online experience is wonderful. Nothing makes me more happy than to browse their website (my go to place for fashion, beauty, home and gifts). Everything I need is just a click away. There is no question, if I order something from JCP it will be a quality item. I have never been disappointed. My favorite brands women's clothing LIz Claiborn and A.N.A. I have only had to return someting once, it was simple as it could be. Customer service talk to people in a respectful manner and are willing to help explain returns etc. JCP is a no stress place to shop. Thank you JCP and keep up the great job!
I will start by saying that I have made many JCPenney purchases. Within the past 3-4 months, my experiences have been spiraling to a fast decline. I online ordered a pair of shoes. I received a box with the correct size, but the shoes inside were of a different size. In order to process a return - I would have to pay $8 to return them by mail, or drive 1.5 hours to return it back to the store. Why should I have to pay for their fault? Most recently, JCPenney had a promotion called the Gold Coupon Giveaway that went on August 1st-4th, 2024. I revealed 50% off coupon code. I ordered 11 items. 10 days after ordering, I check on the status online. 2 of the items says "Cancelled." The other 9 items say "Backordered." I called customer service - as they apparently do not have a chat feature - to inquire why I didn't receive an email/notification of the cancelled items, why I haven't received a refund, how I somehow picked out 11 items that are all basically not available for purchase, and when they anticipate the backordered items would be back in supply. I got put on hold for the CSR to inquire about the refund, he told me, "It looks like they forgot to push the refund through." I asked why I hadn't been notified of the items status update, he told me, "We don't do that." How is it possible that I picked 11 items that are all not available? He said, "We are overwhelmed by the orders that we received during that promotion, and our suppliers is out of 80% of the items ordered." Should I expect to eventually get the 9 items that are on backorder? He said, "Likely they will be cancelled." Great! For those that utilized a coupon, and their entire order gets cancelled - do they get an extension/exception to utilize the coupon? He said, "Nope. We are cancelling orders that had the 50% coupon used." It has been 3 weeks since I ordered - all items have been cancelled now - no refund still to date, no email communication. Be wary. Their marketing and customer service practices are less than couthful. I am picturing law firms putting out an abundancy of commercials for compensation, in the near future - for mal-retail services rendered by JCPenney.
4I am 66 yrs old. I have shopped at JC Penny's off and on. For over 20 years. With losing a lot of weight. I needed to visit a retail shop. My Granddaughter is getting married in November. So I felt I needed to look presentable for the occasion. The store in Kansas City Village west. Is where I went. I was surprised that some of the White dress shirts were so filthy. Evidently cleanliness is not a priority. I settled on a greay suit. But with their selections. I had to travel 20 miles away to Overland Park. For the vest. After arriving home. I was sadned to find out that the suit had no actual working pockets. They were just for show. Now I must find a seamstress to fix a brand new suit. Just to wear a pocket square. I will never buy a suit at any Penny's again. I should have went to a Men's Whear house instead. Over 300 dollars for a fake suit. Unbelievable!

JCP has a wonderful selection of Big & Tall clothing. In particular, I love their Stratford and Arizona lines. I have also purchased luggage, bedding, and bath items from JCP.
All in all, JCP is my favorite among department stores.
For a big enough store as JcPennys is, there was absolutely no one working. We walked through the store for about 15 minutes trying to find someone. As we found someone, she was busy with a customer already but had to fall for assistance. So she took us in the mean time. While we were checking out the pair of pants we had didn't have a tag on it, so the lady said I'm sorry you have to go back and get another pair. And there's also a customer service desk on the way.
First of all, you are a sales associate, you can look up the pair of pants on your computer and reticket the pair of pants with a matching one.
Second of all, we walked all the way over here because you were the only one available, why send us somewhere where there is no one else?

I will never order from jcpennys on line again. The worst customer service n after 2 weeks of waiting. I was told my item went to Rhode Island n they did not find a solution to fix the problem. Never again. The worst on line ordering n customer service around
So I bought a mattress/box spring set in store, they didn't have it on hand so they had to ship it to me which was fine. They said they would call me and schedule a time and day to drop it off, nope they just called me and said hey were dropping this off today at said time, so that was great I had to call my wife and inconvenience her to come home and let them in, then I finally get home and see the mattress just to discover that there were two MASSIVE holes in it. And another thing that's great is I paid for them to set the bed up when they delivered it and when I came home my wife said they told her I wanted to take care of it myself. So I come home to a bed that's not even set up with a massive hole in it. I hope JCPenney ceases to exist in the near future, trash store, trash employees, trash service, and trash product.

My husband bought me a ring but when he left me the size was not correct. I called customer service 6 hours later and they told me that they couldn't do anything that they can't change orders and that my order arrives in 18 to 28 days and that if I want them they will refund the money and then make a new order, that sorrija was on special but now it is in regular price. I just canceled my jc penney card and will never shop there again...
Ordered two different size Levolor blinds - received two of same size; spoke to customer service, returned one per their direction only to receive credit for the size sent back rather than the much larger one not received. Called again to try to reorder the larger size - just received the blind and again it is the same as the first order mistake! Never again... filing a complaint for their incompetence.
Worse customer service EVER... try and try and try to work with JCP and it gets worse and worse. Another example tonight. Went on line at 6pm to pay my bill (week early). Says web site down for repair until 6:30. Wait until 6:30 says down for maintenance until 7. Wait until 7 - now down for maintenance until 8. No place to email them. You call and get put on hold or told they can't take a payment. I've been asking them for FIVE YEARS to change last name on account Every time I talk to someone they assure me it will be done and tonight - same old same old name. I've given them my 5 year old phone number five times and tonight. STILL the wrong number. Now they tell me I can't change my name unless I go into the Store. WICH I"VE ALREADY DONE 7 or 8 times. SHowed them my license and no change.
What's really really horrible is JCP is not linked to JCP online. When you call they can't even see each others records let alone change them... said... so said...
I ordered a comforter online back in November and they said it would be here no later than December 7th. Here we are December 10th and they still have no idea where my order is. When I track it they say "order pending", but when I called the hotline number it said "shipped". To say the least I won't order from them again.
Jc penny is responsible for ruining my credit score 2x all due to their billing dept. My score is excellent until jc pennys incompetent billing department brought it down by not doing there jobs. The first time I made payment on line through my bank for months they never accepted I had to go to my bank and provide the proof Payments were sent a mess the 2nd time they were not sending me bills monthly bills I am so done with jc penny. I was a customer for many many years. Those of you that continue to use them keep a good eye out for there billing dept. So this does not happen to you. I am cutting up my card. A disappointed ex customer.
I purchased a Hives and Honey jewelry amoire June 1st, 2016. Even though the amoire was on sale for 50 percent off in the store, the manager on duty named Nickel honored an on-line price of an additional 30 percent off, saving me an additional $93. That made the decision easy, as I would much rather purchase in the store rather than the hassle of ordering on-line. Then, a young girl by the name of Courtney that works at the Maple Grove JC Penney store went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. She unpacked it so we could check it over for defects, attached the legs, and carried it out to my car for me. All was done with a smile. All in all, it was a great shopping experience, and I love my new jewelry amoire.
I got a CC and was told I could pay with my other CC which was wrong, ok cool. But I wanted to talk to a manager.
This lady had an attitude from the time I walked up.
When I asked for a manager she told me I had to step a side.
When I said no I wasn't finished with my business and she needed to keep helping me
She then began to raise her voice.
Everytime I have to deal with her she is rude.
She has never told me about the survey but she tells every white person about it.
From now on I will wait and hr to get taken care of so I don't have to deal with this racist

Bought a diamond earring and necklace set and the insurance.the diamond fell out of my necklace so I took it in to get replaced. My husband explained to them my earrings got stolen in the hospital but just needed the necklace fixed they call me a couple weeks later and tell me they can't fix my necklace but if I will bring in my earrings they will give me my money back knowing I didn't have them so they say they can't honor my insurance because I don't have my earrings I just wanted my necklace fixed that my husband bought me for my birthday.Not a happy customer they wouldn't even give me my money back for the insurance so the insurance was a waste of money
I shop here frequently. They always have sales, coupons & promotions. I have the credit card, which I was able to get with a very low score & got to build up credit pretty quick with it. I have never had a quality issue here. The only issues I have had were wrong items being shipped to the store. It happened 3 times, 2 out of 3 was the same product. I ordered a onesie for my son with a pirate skull on it & it came in as some snail graphic. I figured ok honest mistake, and re-ordered it in store with the cashier. Then a few days later, it came in wrong again, so I just got a refund. If it wasn't for those orders being wrong multiple times, I would give 5 stars.
I had $20.00 bucks to use. Since there are no JC Penny near me I went online and made a order. The order did not arrive. I looked it up and it said it could not be delivered. So I call JcPenny. And got the rudest woman ever! She wanted the order # I repeated it 5 times. Got no where with her. She said hang up and call again. So I called again! Got the nicest lady named Anya She said she would order again. I said I used a prepaid card. She said to get another one, and that she would give me back my $20 bucks, waive the shipping. So I go to the bank get another card, call back ask for Anya, the lady said they could not do that. She said she would help me. She said no I could not get my #20.00 back! I did not reorder
In Little Rock, Arkansas, there exists an AMAZING worker named Kim H. Who made my experience at JCPenney absolutely phenomenal. I'd been searching for a coat I fell in love with, and while it was sold out in that store, she helped me to find it online and order it so that I could have it. She even got me the best deal on it. If Kim's boss reads this, please please PLEASE give this woman a raise. She deserves it!
I will be very happy when JCPenney goes out of business. On 12/31/2017, I ordered JCPenney merchandise in the amount of 127 dollars. JCPenney happily took 127 dollars from my bank account, but never bothered to ship the items that I had ordered. I have yet to receive the merchandise that I ordered from JCPenney. JCPenney claimed that my order would be delivered within 4 to 7 business days. JCPenney has the absolute worst customer service of any major retail corporation. Although JCPenney merchandise is an excellent value at affordable prices, I will never again buy anything from JCPenney. JCPenney has absolutely no excuse for stealing my money
I received the gift card faster than expected, dispte what I've heard from people who've ordered other gift card brands other than Amazon's. I'm glad to be able to give this to my mom as a Christmas gift as JCP is her favorite store. I revceived it in under a week, thanks for the fast process, Happy Holidays!
I love the quality of the merchandise I have purchased over the years I have shopped with them. I really like the online shopping you can get great deals from there clearance dept. My only issue with them is that they canceled my penneys charge. I always paid it off every month when the bill came in and there was never a time it was late. That's why I rated them the way I did.
Why can't your employees do their jobs and give me a left and a right shoe. Cause clearly I don't have two RIGHT feet. And when I came back to get a Left shoe, the store is all out?! Ok apparently they don't keep track of their damn shoes. WTF Never shopping at JCPenny every again.
We wanted a Faberware cook set, in store the price was 90.00. Online the price was 60.00. I had the price on my phone and showed her, same set, was 60 online. Do you think she would give me online price in store, mind you there was not one customer in the whole store. I bet she hadn't sold 200.00 of merchandise all day. I will never walk in Penney again.
I had a mentality challenged friend that was kept against his will for 22 month during that time of course he didn't have a haircut and his eyebrows, ears and beard were out of control I was so worried about how to get him a haircut let alone all facial hair the first two girls that came out definitely were not happy to see us then as if God we're looking down came Denise Abell Master Stylist she took care of Eddie with such compassion and was so gentle Eddie cried tears of joy when we left! Denise is an asset to your salon in Glens Falls NY and I will be making all my appointments with Denise from now on
Bought clothes from JCP online and in-store. They have not issued the proper credit based on all my returns. Have been trying to get a response from JC Penney since June to no avail/ District Manager calls me and when I try to call back on the number he called me on, I get a store and no one knows where he is located. After buying the insurance, having it sized and everything the ring breaks due to shody work so I send it back in and get it fixed then the ring causes my wife's finger to break out and turn green... wtf...
Store manager tells me she might be able to get me store credit but after weeks of searching in different locations and online my wife can't find one she likes and now I don't trust the rings they have as being of good quality and I can't get my money back too purchase anouther ring for my wife! WTF!?! Don't buy from JcPennys anything over 100$ especially any expensive jewelry it's all garbage and a rip off!
