I have shopped with JC for years and always had a positive experience. If there is an issue or something doesn't fit the return policy is very good (unless you purchase a final sale item, then there is not returns.). Many of the items I purchased from years ago still look beautiful and new.

“No confirmed order is a confirmed order”

I place 3 times the same order. First time I placed it online and got a confirmation and 24 hours later I got a cancellation email. The remaining two times I placed the order over the phone and was assured it will not get cancelled but it did until I called again. Guess what it again got cancelled. How can you run an online store this way? I finally walked into their outlet mall and ordered another product but since my size was not in store they shipped it. This time I got the order with security censor so again I had to go back to the store to get it removed. Horrible experience both in store and online.

I was always afraid to purchase items online. This situation, even more, proves that I should not have done it. The terms of delivery are too long and the item is of low quality.

I have a lot of J Crew stuff. Their stuff is a little more expensive but the quality is totally worth it. Clothes still like new after over 10 washes. Going back to buy more stuff from them soon :)

I love JCrew T-shirt's! Unfortunately, not even 24 hours of wearing this T-shirt it has six holes. Bought ten of the same T-shirt's. Extremely disappointed.

I went to the Nags head outlet mall at OBX. One of the associate asked me if i need a size and all the while i thought she was that sincere so i told her i needed size 4. She came back with size 4 and threw the size 4 top in the floor. She could have place it on top of the door but no, she threw it in the floor and that was really really RUDE! I happen to get her name cuz shes also the one who help me at the register. Cashier CYNTHIA. I also work in a retail store and that is just a big NO NO!

I purchased a jumpsuit that was nice, but too long. It's very well made, by Reistor. When I placed the order it said it was not returnable IN THE STORE. I figured, ok, I'll have to ship it back if it doesn't fit. NBD. NOPE. When I initiated the return they claimed it was a clearance item. NO it was not. The item doesn't say clear (even today), the order doesn't didn't say clearance or non-returnable. I pd $134. When I tried to get customer support, their Live Chat, kept going offline and I couldn't complete a chat. I called after multiple tries. Then they said that it is was ordered at "Marketplace" item. No, it was ordered on the JCrew website, but then THEY apparently placed a Marketplace order. I have to email the original company Reister, in order to see if I can return it. Marketing was deceptive and customer service was terrible. The price wasn't less that on the Reistor site. That "need help making a return?" at the bottom of the packing slip was a joke. What do I need JCrew form with their crappy and dishonest methods and days of delays? Just go direct. Forget JCrew. Too bad, it's a very well constructed jumper.

I always feel comfortable and put-together in J Crew, so I seem to have at least one J Crew piece on every day. My go-to label. Never wears out either.

It's easy to think returns are free but I think that is for US residents only. It's only when you read the fine print that you realise holy sh#t I have to pay for return freight if there is something I don't like.

I had known about J. Crew for a long time so I thought I'd give them a chance, dipping my toes in the water so to speak with the purchase of 2 crew neck sweaters. I mean, how could you go wrong, right? And given their price points they must be good quality.

Both tops were very flimsy in terms of construction and fabric. Mark my words, the quality of J. Crew products from my experience is no better than GAP or Banana Republic, both of which are significantly cheaper. I have to wear the one I kept with kid gloves or it will lose shape very easily. The other one simply didn't look the same colour as on the website so I sent it back. That's when I got stung with the huge (HUGE) bill for their third-party courier service which was very poor since it took months to reach its destination. They tried to claim Covid-19 as an excuse but I have had other deliveries arrive from the US in 10 days during the same time.

I've ordered shoes and boots from them and they've arrived thoughtfully packaged, it's a gift to unwrap them! The clothing is well designed and beautifully made, I'm so glad to have discovered JCrew!

I received a pair of shoes from J Crew. Upon immediate inspection I noticed a few issues with the shoes. They had the security tag still attached which is very odd. They were clearly worn which was evident by the wrinkly footbed inside, blackened bottom, and foot odor emitting from the shoes. To make matters worse, the shoe had two deep scratches on the back. I reached out to J Crew and did not receive a response so I emailed in again... still no response. Finally I decide to chat and call in. They were unable to offer me another new pair but suggested I wait until they come back in and would price match the original order. Based on the condition I received the shoes, and after wearing them for an event that I had ordered these shoes for, I was certain they would do the right thing and refund me and let me keep the shoes so I could pay a cobbler to fix them or at least paint over the scratch. Instead, they offered me a mediocre discount off an already terrible order. What a joke, they also tried to flaunt the free return label? Stay away, order from somewhere that cares about their customers.

Giving 1 star because there is no ZERO star.
Never order online and pick up at JCrew store because they will not ship it to the store. I ordered a sweatshirt online and paid for it and chose to pick it up at JCrew store. Online order said it takes 1 week. I called after 1 week and the lady (online order) said it's ready for pick up. I drove 45 mins to JCrew store to find out the sweatshirt was never shipped. The saleswoman at JCrew store said I have to cancel your order because online did not ship your sweatshirt. What a
SUPER DUPER BAD service online and at the store, and waste of my time.

I don't recommend it. Because I have 2 shirts that has quality control issue and sent them.
But they didn't do anything because I don't have the receipt.

What a disappointment. As a young professional I was excited to start shopping at J. Crew. I saw an instagram blogger wearing a pair of their pants and thought it would be a good time to invest in some good quality pants. I bought the high rise cameron pants in black in April and bought the navy pair at the beginning of May. Recently the button on the navy pair fell right off. For the high price point of these pants I feel that the quality should hold up better or atleast longer than 4 months. I was not too worried because I was hoping that J. Crew could help me! I went to my local store and received horrible customer service telling me that "there is no guarantee with our clothing". No apology or assistance at all. I then wrote an email to corporate hoping they could give me a refund or even a new button so that i could fix the issue myself, but they told me they could not do that. Overall J. Crew had horrible customer service in store and via email. I felt more of a bother than anything else and my situation was not resolved at all. The associates I dealt with did not give me any type of apology for their low quality clothing. For the high price point I expected more. I hope that J Crew can step it up and stand by their product. I recommend sticking with brands that stand by their product and support their customers with all types of needs.

I have been a Jcrew credit card member for years now and I was having trouble logging in to my account and as a result I paid my bill two days late. I am not one to pay my bill late. It happened to me once in the past and I explained to a customer representative my situation that I was having trouble logging into the account because Jcrew was having website maintenance. I was surprised that a big company like Jcrew did not honor my request to wave the late fee. This is not good customer service. With everything that has been going on in the world today, you'd think they'd be more understanding. I am not one to write negative reviews, but Jcrew has been a favorite store of mine and now I am not sure I am going to give them my business anymore because of how I was treated by that customer service representative. I am sure she could have waved the fee. I can't be the only one who has had trouble logging in to pay my account while their website was under maintenance. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. I am truly disappointed.

I got an item which run bigger that the real size. It was on sale the next day I bought it. I did not get any price adjustment and I have to pay to return it. Never again!

I can find a huge variety of clothing on J. Crew. The sizing chart is very helpful and it is accurate. Shipping time is quick and the quality of the clothes are great! Highly recommend!

JCrew Talls is cheating tall women by not adding extra length to torso anymore. Fabric quality has also gone down. Variety of styles has also decreased.

If you were to look in my closet right now, you would see JCrew all over the place. I have bought their clothes for work (and some play!) for about 8 years, not to mention the years I wore them in high school and college! I spend a lot there... Around $3K a year. Over the years, I have continued to shop there because their clothes suit my needs and their customer service has been great. Recently, both have become an issue and this longtime fan will no longer shop there. Cashmere sweaters are pilling in a few wears. Shirts are tearing in one wash. I wrote in with feedback and got a very cold response. The final straw came a month ago. I went in to return a pair of jeans-- note: this is the exact same pair of jeans that i currently own and fit great, but this one is completely different, speaking to quality control issues. I tried to return it at 32 days, notably, 2 days past their return policy, but I explained that I was flexible to take whatever the current price was or store credit. I was given a snooty response that there was no way and the policy was on the receipt. Nothing they could do. I tried to return the jeans again today just to see if the response would be different... The old JCrew would turn in their graves. So disappointing.

My wife purchased a sweater for me from this retailer for Christmas. The package arrived and we noticed right away that there was an issue. The sweater which was supposed to be an XL was indeed in an XL package (plastic bag). When we took to sweater out for me to try on, I noticed it was a Large not an XL. So a large in an XL packaging. The next thing we noticed was that the sweater was already pilling and for a "new sweater" we thought this was odd. In any case she sent it back to exchange it for the correct size, and to our surprise, J-Crew said they couldn't exchange the "new sweater" because it was from their 2019 collection. Somewhere between their warehouse and the delivery of this so called "new sweater" someone pulled a switch, old for new. Now let me ask this audience, why the hell would FedEx or UPS do such a thing? We will never purchase anything from J-Crew ever again. Buyer Beware! They are horrible at customer service and someone in their fulfillment center is stealing from "US" the consumer.

Tip for consumers:
Save yourself and buy from a retailer that cares about it's customers, and isn't going to STEAL from it's consumers.

Disappointing merchandise in ladies shorts... which were "skimpy" in size... that ran TOO SMALL and I will have to exchange them. Other brands are more 'GENEROUS" in size as they run.

BUYER BEWARE: J Crew promises refunds to customers prior to the customer shipping back their items and does not end up refunding them. Below is an email we received from one of their customer service reps "Aaron P" March 4th confirming the refund amount. March 20th they finally processed our return and it was NOT FULLY REFUNDED! We want everyone to know NOT to buy from J Crew. There is a reason why they have 40-60% off sales! There products are low quality and their customer service is even worse. When we tried to address this issue with them they didn't help. One of the reps actually closed a chat on us when we tried to bring up the subject that we weren't fully refunded. We have already notified our bank to file a dispute as well as filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT BUY. I've included this email below that was sent to us. Please note we were never refunded this total. DON'T LET THEM SCAM YOU!

"Hi,
Wanted to reach out and confirm when your order above is received and processed by our returns team, we will refund the full amount of your order, $34.32.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Gift Card - my sister gave me a e-gift card from J Crew. There was no number on the e-gift card - when I called customer service, the rep said to write it down and keep it safe - could not believe what I was hearing.
Went to the store and the store clerk ordered me a dress online. Two hours later I went on line to check and see if my order was processed and realized they did have the color I wanted so I called the store and they told me to call customer service. I did. The rep said the order was processed but she could cancel and reorder the dress in dress in the color I wanted with no cost to me but the end of call she wanted to know which card should she charge. I asked to speak to a manager who hung up on me. As I tracked this order that I placed on the 26th, it processed on the 30th and was scheduled to arrive on the 6th! They had enough time to make a simple change but would not accommodate me. Called customer service again today to get the CEO's name. Incredible that they are so backward in their technology... no more JCrew for me.
