This year shopping for children's back to school clothes I visited many stores. Most were not stocked and the variety was very limited but Kohl's was great. So many brands to choose from and very neatly displayed. The customer service reps were friendly and returns were easy when need be. Their online selection is even better than in store and the shipping is prompt and arrives quickly. The quality of the brands they carry are also top notch and wash well. I would recommend shopping at Kohl's.
This business drives me crazy. I cannot ever be sure I am getting the best price. I will place an order online. The next day the item will be on sale. Place that order, then a few days later, the discounts change and yet an even lower price is available. What kind of business want's customers placing multiple orders only to return them all because prices have changed? I have one last return of a group of items that had me go through 4 orders to get the best price. I make sure that I consolidate so I only have to go to the store once for returns, but then the poor clerk has to spend 20 minutes with me sorting through multiple orders for the returns. I am done! I will shop elsewhere. Kohl's, lower your prices overall and keep them standard and YOU will save money! What an insane business model that cause extra work for everyone, and drives your customers away.
When I took off excess poundage and needed a new, less expensive wardrobe, I went to Kohl's repeatedly until I had achieved it. Kohl's lets you return items without a problem. So, if something didn't thrill me so much once I had it on, it was simple to return it. This is true of clothes, jewelry, appliances, The folks that work in our store are really nice. Personable. The merchandise is not super high-end, it is middle road. And, there is nothing wrong with that for most of us regular people. TIP: look at Kohl's online, too. My bathroom was recently redone and I wanted a great shower curtain with liner. There were 7 to choose from in the store. There were 751 online. Not a typo! I ordered 3. Free shipping (store credit card customer). I kept the first one I ordered and returned the other 2 to my store for credit. Can't beat it! Free shipping online. Return those unwanted items to your neighborhood stored. Easy-breezy!
I placed an order on a Tuesday... for two pair of childrens shoes. Paid $28 for two day shipping, only to find one pair of shoes arrived. The other pair is estimated to be delivered 9 days from the order date.
Called the less than helpful customer service only to be told this was my error. If you shop on the app, you have to select the delivery method for each item you purchase. They would not refund the exorbitant shipping since I did not catch it at the time of checkout or my email confirmation of the order. No where is it obvious that you check each item for the $28 rush shipping despite what common sense would conclude.
Business will be taken elsewhere and lesson learned. No shoes for an event tomorrow. Sad to see good customer service is a rarity these days.
First, this is of course a totally legitimate website. My only issues with their webdesign is sometimes it loads slowly, and sometimes it is hard to open links in a new tab. I've used both ship-to-store and ship-to-home and both work great. If you don't already have a coupon, be sure to check coupon sites as they often have discounts. You can return any online purchase to any Kohl's retail store (not sure how many days you have to do this). I've gone through the in-store return process several times, and have not had any problems.

I recently purchased an item online, found out a day later "after tracking my order" that the order was "cancelled" due to item being out of stock. I called Kohl's asap, one rep stated my monies would be refunded in 48 hrs., another rep stated my refund would take 7 days, my bank stated it would take to weeks. No consistency on when I could expect MY money, Kohl's customer service needs a lot of improvement, management as well.
While the store is great, and so is the merchandise online, the website customer service (outsourced to Mexico) is TERRIBLE. They seem to have no concept of what the term 'customer service' means. They messed up my order, then when I called and asked for a supervisor because the rep refused to make it right, I kept getting disconnected. It took me repeatedly calling and asking for a manager, to finally, over an hour later, get only a half-way satisfactory resolution. And the manager never apologized, and made it sound like he was doing ME a huge favor. I've tried contacting them through the website to convey my feedback, but so far (3 days later) still no response.
Prices are usually not the best, but if you combine discount codes than they're ok. Shipping is usually fast, except during the holidays, but they are aware of it so they send out an email to let customers know. The last time they emailed me a $25 coupon because I had not received my things by the date that they had promised. Customer service is usually great.
Is it just me, or is the new way of shipping (FedEx Smart post) a joke. I could get merchandise faster when you had to shop by catalog and phone in your order. Usually about 2-3 days. I have been waiting for my last order for 9 days, and it shipped in 2 separate packages. One will be delivered today, and fingers crossed, the other will be delivered tomorrow. This Smart post delivery just adds another day, and another chance to screw up the delivery.
They messed up my order, right before Christmas year before last. Not easy to deal with. They actually sent me a customers name, address and phone number by mistake and were not concerned about when I called.
Ordered items on line two weeks ago and still cannot find out if they have been shipped or if I am going to get my orders. Customer service is a joke because they seem to not have any kind of tracking information. I am really upset don't know if I should try to spend another $100.00 to buy from another store.
Kohl's does not deserve a fraction of a star. It's almost criminal. If you buy anything here expect the sale to be FINAL. You will not get a refund to save your life. I wait for the day this place finally dies off like Sears.
Over the years I have shopped at Kohls. It seems like you get great deals but in the end they take more money than you save. If you return anything, you lose the Kohls cash plus they add more on to your bill. A lot of the clothes are very cheap and fall apart quickly

Wonderful experience with Kohl's returns. I have never had a problem wether I purchase on-line or in store. Well, one time my entire order was commandeered (I think it was an inside job) but they replaced that order immediately and never double charged me. I am very happy with the care and service at Kohl's.
Can I give a 0 star rating? This place is unbelievable. I ordered a jersey for my son and receive an email two days later stating it's out of stock! How can you allow someone to purchase something that isn't even available? I called to see what they can do as they already charged my account and now I have to wait 7 days for a refund for their screw up! I didn't even care so much about the refund as I wanted the jersey my son asked for for Christmas. The hat that was just delivered looks used. I also had an issue a couple months back w/some shoes that were purchased. This is the last time I do business w/them!
First time Kohl's shopper after a friend highly recommended. After ordering online I was told to wait until I was contacted to able to pickup item. Money came out of my bank account and then I got an email saying order could not be completed. I called store where I was supposed to pick up item. Store employee said there were 8 of the item I had ordered and got charged for. Now I have to wait 7 business days for my $148.00 to be deposited back into my account. Pathetic and disgusting! Not sure where the fault lies, but these are hard times for most and to be without $148.00 is a challenge. This was a wedding present and I don't have extra cash to buy something else. I have never shopped at Kohl's and after this experience I will never shop there in the future.
If I could give them less than one star, I would. I purchased over 60$ of product to be sent to my house and it was sent to some random address across the United States. When I asked for them to cancel the order, have it sent to me, or do a refund they refused. I spent over 4 hours in their online chat for them do say they will not do anything to help. Never use this company they are the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
For some reason, I had the impression that Kohl's was a discount type store. I bought a pair of Levi's there and found out that I paid way more than I could have gotten online. I also bought a navy blazer there with one of their store brand names attached to it. It was horrible quality and I returned it... again finding a much nicer, Ralph Lauren jacket for about the same price. I don't even go into this store any more. I called-- yes, I found a telephone number from a store--their customer service. I pushed the button to talk to someone. I was on hold for 45 minutes. My phone battery died. I gave up.
It took my over 1/2 hour to figure out the web site to order a package of socks. Totally confusing, especially about shipping to the store and store pickup. They need to learn how the Chinese do a web site. Buy something there in 2 minutes.
Have used multiple times - at home delivery and in-store pick up, both with excellent results. Items are shipped promptly, packaged well and in perfect condition. A plus is that web orders can be returned to a store vs return shipping. In store pick up is very easy and quick at the Customer Service Desk.
Kohl's is a great store and website to shop at. They do take anything you buy back for any reason, but KEEP ALL receipts otherwise you only get the lowest price, which is typically 10% of what the original price was. Ouch! I bought a dress for $40 but got $4 back because I lost the receipt.

If you go to a Kohl's store and can't find an item in your size, you can order it at the kiosk near customer service and have it shipped to your house for free!
I've spent some time looking for clothes here but every time it just gets too confusing with all the deal stuff, and it feels like I get a bad deal if I don't figure it all out so I avoid shopping here. Shopping online is a bit easier but they should hold my stuff up front instead of making me walk so far to the back. It's fine once, but it's also a mall area, so it's really an adventure just to do a pick up.

I honestly feel bad for all of their employees. Went into my local Kohl's yesterday for an after Easter sale dress for my daughter. Their selection was unusually dismal but we managed to find one that worked on sale. I love how their ridiculously marked up clothing suddenly becomes The Deal of the Century when they put it on sale. Two employees upstairs putting stuff away were loudly talking negatively about a customer who had her dog in the store and about why were so many kids in the store. Wow. Anyhow, try to check out, there's a huge line, only two cashiers working the register and one of them was supposed to be in jewelry also and got called away to work that counter. A manager took over for her and ended up checking me out. She missed the sale price for my dress. I had to point it out. Moral of my story: I hate sifting through over priced clothes, listening to disgruntled employees, and having to wait in crazy slow lines only to be over charged. Once a year... only once a year.
I purposely signed on for a Kohl's card close to the holidays thinking that would make some kind of difference, it did not. On Christmas Eve I bought a kids karaoke machine. I was suppose to get it for 30% off. The cashier told me card would not give me the discount price because the brand had the 'option' to charge full price. The employees don't even get store discounts for the sale priced items. Needless to say I no longer have a Kohl's car or shop at Kohl's. Such a scam. I don't know why people waste their money at that place.
I like the selection and truly believe in the quality of there items… but a bit over priced, so I would recommend to find discounts and savings to make your purchases. You could also apply for there credit card, anything to save you money. There return policy is AMAZING! You can return Anything at anytime for any reason. Shipping can take about 1 to 2 weeks for delivery.

I used to be a die-hard customer and my reviews reflected that, but little by little, my reviews starting going downhill, just like their service. I had finally had enough on Jan 2 and reached out to Kohl's with what I agree is a scathing message. I am attaching my message and their response for you. I definitely reached my limit after 10+ years as a big customer with them and experienced my first late payment by one day. How easy it was for them to send a generic message with the knowledge they had lost a customer.

I absolutely love this store. Good quality clothes including designer brands for an absolutely great price. I have bought my youngest fashion conscious son about a dozen suits, three coats, and over 3 dozen pair of jeans from Kohl's. Great store for kids and teens clothing.
