This year shopping for children's back to school clothes I visited many stores. Most were not stocked and the variety was very limited but Kohl's was great. So many brands to choose from and very neatly displayed. The customer service reps were friendly and returns were easy when need be. Their online selection is even better than in store and the shipping is prompt and arrives quickly. The quality of the brands they carry are also top notch and wash well. I would recommend shopping at Kohl's.
This business drives me crazy. I cannot ever be sure I am getting the best price. I will place an order online. The next day the item will be on sale. Place that order, then a few days later, the discounts change and yet an even lower price is available. What kind of business want's customers placing multiple orders only to return them all because prices have changed? I have one last return of a group of items that had me go through 4 orders to get the best price. I make sure that I consolidate so I only have to go to the store once for returns, but then the poor clerk has to spend 20 minutes with me sorting through multiple orders for the returns. I am done! I will shop elsewhere. Kohl's, lower your prices overall and keep them standard and YOU will save money! What an insane business model that cause extra work for everyone, and drives your customers away.
Narrow shopping aisles & lack of cashiers. I can't overlook Kohl's politics & canceling My Pillow. Kohl's no longer has my business!

Shopped online for my kids school clothes and spent $49.32 after coupons codes. The Kohl's website says as long as you are within $3 of the amount required for the Kohl's cash incentive, customer will still get the Kohls cash. When I asked online customer service I was told I didn't get it because I did not earn it with my purchases. So I checked the help menu on Kohls site and it told me the same thing about as long as I'm within the $3 limit I should have gotten my reward for purchase. So again I got ahold of online customer service and asked for my Kohls cash again. This time I was told that no I still didn't earn it with my purchase even tho I mentioned the within the $3 limit part, this time I was told that they don't know where I saw that but it was not on a kohls website because they do not do that but if I still felt like I was owed then they would put a 10% discount on my account for my next order. I got frustrated and told them they were acting as if I was trying to scam them or something and I wanted to speak with a manager. I was emailed back by someone else who was a manager and that person was even worse the other people I tried to get to correct the situation prior. Finally I had enough of the online reps being rude and disrespectful and called customer service. The phone representative was so much better very polite and helpful. He gave me a $20 credit to my account and a 15% discount with next purchase. Unfortunately after I had so much problems with the online site that it has made me not even want to take my business to their store anymore. I loved this store before this happened. It was unfortunately a very frustrating experience and the people treating customers that way online or other wise is extremely bad for any business. One rep I could have dealt with but in all there was 4 extremely rude and unprofessional employees I had to deal with before the phone rep who resolved the problem. He also said he would send it to his boss with a priority message about what had happened because that is not how they are trained or allowed to treat customers by policy. Phone rep was great tho but online service needs better monitoring and management.
Over the last 10 years the quality of clothing has declined to 3rd world country quality. Refuse to shop there anymore.
Im really disappointment and frustration with the issues I have experienced with the Kohl's Cash reward program. On two separate occasions, I have lost my Kohl's Cash balance without any record of use, which has resulted in a significant loss of value for my purchases.
The first instance occurred when my reward balance totaled 250 Kohl's Cash. Upon checking my app, I found that the balance had disappeared. After contacting customer service, I was told that the Kohl's Cash had been used on a previous purchase, even though I had no record of such a transaction. While I was eventually refunded, I should not have had to go through the process of disputing the use of funds in the first place.
My second loss occurred more recently when my Kohl's Cash balance was 280. The reward disappeared on Sunday, and I immediately reached out to customer service, but unfortunately, no one was available to assist me. This left me feeling defrauded, and I have since had to spend my time trying to figure out how to resolve this issue. Upon researching, I discovered that many others have experienced similar problems with the Kohl's Cash reward program.
I believe that Kohl's security system needs to take drastic action to combat fraudulent usage of the Kohl's Cash reward program. It is unacceptable that loyal customers like me have to endure these problems without any clear solution. I strongly feel that this situation is beyond disappointing, it is unacceptable.
KOHLS need to improve the tracking system and security features surrounding the Kohl's Cash rewards program, as it has left me and other customers feeling defrauded. I contacted them few times. They told me they issued the first Kohl cash lost, they couldn't issue the second time but I never touch them. My case is never got resolved
****If you get Kohl Cash, spend right away, dont wait for it.

Unfortunately, I have gained ALOT of weight this last 15 months and had to shop to buy bigger jeans and tops. I went to a couple well-known retail department stores, only to find that the jeans were arranged by Brand, and thus were scattered ALL OVER THE STORES! I'm disabled, so this was tough on me, and I never found one pair that fit. I then got a coupon to Kohls, a store close to my home that also has a website. I easily purchased 4 pairs of jeans and 4 tops for an unbelievably low price! Plus I got Kohl's dollars to use for this month. And now that I know the sizes that fit me from my store purchases, I can look online to buy the same brand clothes that may not be available anymore at the store. KOHL'S WAS SUCH A BARGAIN FOR CLOTHES I LIKED, in addition to all the coupons and benefits. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that some things I needed were not available. For example, as hard as I looked, I could not find tights. The purses were mainly not leather, and the shoe selection wasn't great. But for jeans and tops, Kohl's was wonderful!
Ordered 14 items on 11/23, all were ready for shipment by 11/27 all money was deducted from my bank account on 11/29. Fast forward to 12/7, tv still not shipped, go on chat, they are making my issue a "high priority"! Doing an "investigation"! Will hear back via email 24-48 hours. 12/10 no word, chat again. Told that my order was cancelled due to the tv being sold out, I was upset, wanted a tv. My money was going to be refunded. 12/11, expecting my refund... nothing call and am told that my refund was processed successfully, I will get an email when the tv is available, I can purchase for same price and he added a couple of promo codes. 12/12 no refund chat again am told that they are "investigating" why my tv wasn't shipped, duh, I can tell you that, making my issue a "high priority". Told them to cancel my order and refund my money, that a manager needed to be notified. He said it takes 7 business days to refund my money, I ask if it's 7 days from today, yes it is! Why not 7 days from the 7th? Call 800 # told that another dept. is investigating and trying to find me a tv, (I ordered another from Walmart Monday night). Asked for a supervisor, he too tells me a refund will be sent, I asked for a date he said 7 working days, I said "no I want a date" he counts and says December 18th! Never notified that the item was sold out, found documentation that money would not be taken until item shipped. Found many complaints on line today, thinking that a class action law suit needs to be filed! I will be visiting my bank tomorrow, with all documentation, including screen shots of chats, cell phone records of phone calls, original order and cost and screen shot of my tv sitting in my account not shipped! I am sure I will get assistance and direction from them as to my options. Would like to see Kohl's no longer permitted to debit accounts!
Beside the friendly staff, I like the way they arrange the store, It is easy to find what I am looking for.
Sometimes I can find a good price on something on sale, but they are a little pricey for this SS check receipent
If there's one thing that bothers me about Kohl's its something that they are not the only ones doing these days.
You'll get an email saying that your item has been shipped. No it hasn't!. A great example of this is I got an email on Saturday August 8th, 2020 saying my item has been shipped. It is now the morning of Tuesday August 11th and it's still a 'pre-shipment item.'
This item hasn't even left the warehouse yet so don't lie to the customer. Simply inform the customer that a shipping label has been created simple as that.

In my opinion, Kohls has gone way downhill over the years.
It didn't used to be much of an issue to get a free shipping code to the store or to your home. I'd missed the free shipping code by 55 hours so they flatly refused to give this to me on the phone.
Another option was for me to drive 30 miles round trip, waste a gallon of gas and use my phone in their store to get free shipping!
The 3rd option was for me to pay the shipping fee up front then I've got a call back in 48 hours and they'd remove the shipping fee. After that I'd have to wait 7 days for the refund to go back onto my card. To me this is like inventing the square wheel and sticking to it. Why not wave the shipping fee to begin with and avoid all of the above aggravation?
The other thing that annoyed me, the message when you call Kohls, is about going to their website and clicking on the 'Ask us.' After typing out a long message all I get is some virtual piece of garbage that says 'Enjoy your shopping' or something to that effect.
I'd have expected a live human being not a thing that's going to respond to you with zero help to a problem.
I can't say I'm too impressed with this company anymore.

Through an inadvertent mistake I was using a female fitting room. The fitting rooms are between men's clothing and women's clothing. The fitting rooms are not marked for women only. Store customer traffic was very light. Hardly anyone shopping. No other people were using fitting rooms. So I couldn't see that women were also using the same fitting rooms. There was a female attendant who was rehanging the shirts I tried on and rejected. She did not notify me that I was using a women's only fitting room. As I was in and out of the room I was using, trying on different shirts, a father and 2 daughters arrived. I was told this by a store manager after I came back to discuss the incident the day after it occurred. I never saw the girls. I saw a man standing outside the fitting rooms using his phone. He apparently complained about me using the fitting rooms while his daughters were. Again, I never saw any young girls or women while I was in and out of the fitting rooms. I finally found a suitable shirt. I started looking at ties. I had the shirt on one arm and hand around a hanging tie that I was examining and thinking of buying. A security guard accosted me. He told me I had to leave. I asked why? He said some customers complained about me. This was very surprising since I hadn't any interactions with other customers or attendants. I attempted to get him to explain the issue. He insisted that I leave the store without any explanation of why. I didn't argue with him. I just walked out as he followed me out! I must admit that I am not very happy. I am a Vietnam Veteran and this happened on the store's "Military Appreciation Day". I don't feel very appreciated. I am requesting an apology, that the women's fitting rooms be clearly marked "For Women Only", and that the rude security guard be fired or at least reprimanded and provided customer interaction training. If the guard had simply explained that I was using the wrong fitting rooms and told me where the Men's fitting rooms are, I would have gladly complied. I would also now be more forgiving. Again, when the guard accosted me, I had already finished using the fitting rooms!

Do not order from Kohls.com. I found the same item on another website hours after placing the order on Kohls.com at night. I tried to log into my account on Kohls.com and it told me I had been locked out due to multiple login attempts. I had tried to log in only once and got this error. So since it was late at night, I went to bed. First thing the next morning, I tried again and was still unable to log in. So I called their customer service number. Spoke to a woman with a heavy accent and a loud tv on in the background. I was on that phone call for 10 minutes (most of which I waited on hold) to see if she could "price match" my item. When she returned from hold, she told me "no" she couldn't. She said she would ask for the order to be canceled and would put a note on the order – she did say that the order "might not be able to be canceled." So why did she tell me she put a note to cancel it?! Then she said she would send me a new password so I could log onto my account. She did, and it didn't work! Then I got an email 10 hours later saying my item was ready to ship. So I emailed them back and told them the order had been canceled. This was my reply: Once your order has moved to "Fulfillment" status, we are unable to change or cancel the order. It was not ready to be shipped for 24 hours after placing the order, and I had tried to cancel it several times. I still cannot log into my account, and now I am stuck receiving an order I don't want. Of course now I was told how I am so lucky to be able to "just return the item at the store" but will still have to pay the shipping and the gas and the time to and from, etc. Other websites at which I order all the time allow you to cancel an order up to the time when it ships. So don't order from Kohls unless you want a big hassle.
