“Cheapest way to get kpop merch, good service.”

I've been ordering from this site for almost two years now, and I've only ever had a few issues. The site has an error where they'll sometimes put down the wrong shipping address if you have multiple saved on your account (I selected my albums to be sent to my home, but later I checked and it was set to go to my college). When this happened, I contacted customer service and they fixed the problem right away. I've never had any other problems, and it usually takes exactly 2 weeks for my items to arrive on the cheapest shipping option. I'll definitely keep using it for the forseeable future!

I usually love kpoptown, but this time, they sent me the wrong item and asked me to return it in order to get the "right" item I originally ordered. Truth be told, I put my foot down and then they told me that they'd give me a partial refund, which was around 10% of the total I paid. Do not order from them. Their customer service is very poor, minimal English skills and plain rude. Good luck getting more customers, businesses like this rarely do well in the long run :)

First, sorry for my English. This isn't my native language.
I've already ordered some few things with them, and everything came just perfect!
The two albums that I bought on pre-order were shipped two or three days after the release date, and when they shipped, they have sent me an email with the track number. After three or four weeks, my order have arrived, and since I live in Brazil, it was faster than I thought it would be.
With one of the albums, I've ordered a mini lightsitck, and it came with the album, in perfect conditions as well.
Then, I bought some pins, and some days after it was not shipped yet, so I emailed them asking if there was any problem with my order and they answered me like one day after, saying that there was some intern problem, and in some days my order would be shipped. Then, two days after this email, my pins were shipped and arrived in perfect conditions as well.
The package is very well made: full of bubble wrap and air cushions. The posters came in a tube IN THE SAME box as the album.
So, in conclusion, my experiences with Kpop Town were excellent and I will buy some kpop things with them for sure! And again, sorry for my bad English.

Tip for consumers:
I highly recommend the use of k-packet service because it allow you to have the track number

I ordered a few albums as k-packet and my album should arrive in 10-15 days, but a lot of time already passed, over a month in 12 days it's going to be 2 months already and my item still did not arrive.

I also bought 2 more albums and they should arrive in 15 days as well. They're still not here.

In the past kpoptown was the best site for me I always got my orders on time.

And I can completely understand if my orders are a week or two weeks late. But almost two months? That is way too much. If they have some problem with shipping they should let us know. At this point I'm scared I won't get my things and my orders are worth over 160. At this point I'm thinking if I should order my albums again on some other site because I have no idea if my things will arrive. All this waiting made me really paranoid.

I won't be buying anything from allkpop ever again. And you shouldn't either because at the end of the day you will wonder: will my albums even come? Will I even get what I paid for?

I used to love this site, I never had any problems and I even told people that kpoptown is the best... but something went downhill in June. And this wasn't just a one time thing. I'm waiting for so many orders... and I blame myself because after 20 days passed and I still didn't get my order that should be here in 15 days I ordered more things because I thought this could be just a one time thing... I can't trust this site after this mess anymore.

I would not recommend this site anymore, as they have a huge lack of customer service and do not know how to handle mistakes professionally.
I've been buying from this site since 2017, as it used to be one great way to get kpop albums. They offer merch and lightsticks no other site does, and despite shipping being high I never had a problem when I bought from them. However, I made a big order of lightsticks (worth more than 400$) and something came wrong with the shipping. I do not know if they filled the customs wrong, or if they sent batteries with them, or whatever—I never got the package. When tried to contact them because the package was being returned, they were REALLY REALLY RUDE about it and couldn't stop saying it was my fault somehow for not calling the shipping courier. They told me they wouldn't refund me the shipping since they sent the package, and I ended up opening a paypal claim. It took me a month, but I got my money back. They deleted my account.
Please avoid buying from them at all costs, there are better shops nowadays.

I ordered a GOT7 album which was a gift for a friend, three weeks later they email me saying the package was returned to them. I said I understood and asked them to ship it to me instead, they said they could only do so if I agreed to pay the shipping fee again, to which I did. I honestly thought it was a mistake on their part, and was ready to forgive it, but turns out 2 weeks later, I get another email saying the package has been returned to them, and that if I want it reshipped I must pay them the shipping fee again, I have fought countless times with them over email to get a full refund and they refused. This being said I am opening a case with these mother $#*!ers, they are liars and will rip you off your money DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, THEY ARE EVIL LIARS.

I have ordered from Kpoptown a number of times and I swear each order is more expensive then the last. One thing i've noticed with each order is that the albums and posters I have bought always seem to have slight dents in them which do worry me a little but aren't huge problems at all. The first warning was probably the missing photocards paired with an unapologetic email that I simply brushed aside, and then the same incident happening to a friend of mine a couple of times. The thing that frustrated me the most was when I decided to buy BTS' Summer Package from their website to give as a gift, only to find that it was missing all of the extra items and only had the photobook and dvd. I was completely embarrassed that I had given a half empty gift, to the point I bought another one from eBay which was cheaper and had all the items included. I emailed Kpoptown a few times, including the photo evidence they had asked for and another email to ask for an update only to find that they are unable to do anything. I'm probably just using this place to rant but I hate it so much that this happened and I really want to prevent this from happening to anyone else kpoptown could take advantage of.

Ok so, I thought this site will be good enough to buy "EXO's The War KOKOBOP" all three versions and UNFOLDED posters from. So I did since they're the only site that has all three available. I ordered all three albums with three unfolded posters which did cost me a lot because I live in North America. I chose EMS which is 3-7 day shipping. (I ordered July 31) They took well over 15 days to ship (August 17) these because "KOKOBOP private ver. Is out of stock" so it WAS out of stock, they didn't even tell me or inform me about this till I message them, I has to message them a few times for them to reply. When they fiNALLY ship it took about 4 days to get to me and when the mail man came. It was in a Bubble mail... so like what about my UNFOLDED POSTERS? I. payed. For... So besides the Posters being completely not in the package, The albums had SO many dents. I mean it had so many on the sides and every where. It's very unfortunate it's just... I hope it won't happen again. Once again this was from kpoptown (kpoptown.com).

(SUMMARY) I never gotten my albums early due to their failure to contact me. Shipping took way too long for what? EMS? That I payed for. Albums came with ALOT of dents due to the once sheet (approximately 15 by 12 inches) of bubble wrap and came in a Bubble mailer.

(Im sorry for myself for experiencing this, I'm pretty sure they're better than this just, not this time.)
(I payed $86.40 US dollars for all of this meaning about $29 US per album with unfolded poster)

I ordered three times from Kpoptown and the third one will probably be my last.
First time I ordered two albums and they arrived after 16 days and they came in good condition.
Second time I ordered four albums and they arrived after a month which was already ridiculous but they came in good condition except one album that was a little ripped on the side (I guess it got damaged during shipping) but it wasn't that bad.
Third time I preordered Stray Kids Clè 2: Yellow Wood limited edition and they shipped it out one day after it was released. But since today, I've never received it. Last update on my tracking was on July 1st and until this day it still says that it's been in transit. But it's been over two months. I've messaged them once in July asking about whereabouts of my album and they said they send request to Korea post to open an investigation about whereabouts of my album and that it could take up to few weeks. It's been a month since then and I've gotten no updates so I messaged them again and they basically said the same thing as the last time. I am really mad about everything because it was a preorder and limited edition that I won't ever be able to get again.

I ordered 2 BTS albums Dark&Wild and 2 COOL 4 SKOOL. My Dark&Wild came without the 2 photocards and looked like it had been opened and re-wrapped.My 2 COOL 4 SKOOL came absolutely damaged with pages falling out. Both albums came to around 67 AUD including postage. Which is ridiculous pricing. However when I e-mailed them about my faulty albums they told me that it wadnt their problem and i would not be recieving a refund or new albums.In fact when I proved to them that Dark&Wild comes with 2 photocards, they told me that it does not which is completely wrong.As for my damaged 2 COOL 4 SKOOL they told me that it wasnt their fault and as an apology I would be reciving as $1 AUD voucher. They are absolutely ridiculous and have no customer service what so ever. They take forever to post and everything Ive ordered from them comes damaged.DO NOT ORDER NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE! UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE RIPPED OFF A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY!

Previously I ordered ikon's debut full album and a week or 2 later(?) kpoptown emailed me saying I had to pay extra for postage. I wasn't happy with the customer service they were providing me. When I ordered ikon, we both agreed to pay $x for postage, it doesn't make sense for me to pay extra postage. So I cancelled my order.

Later I looked on other sites and thought only kpoptown had Big Bang's 2nd album 'Remember' the original version (not new cover version), so I bought it from them. It arrived 2 weeks and 5 days from when I ordered it (I live in Australia). When my package arrived I was so excited, but when I opened it, the album cover was the new one. I am seriously not happy about the service and the misleading images. If I knew kpoptown would give me the new cover I would rather order from catchopcd/kpoptown as they have WAY BETTER service and are cheaper. Plus, if I were to refund the Big Bang album, I would have to pay for shipping, as they have $#*! service. It's such a waste of time and money. Never again am I ordering from kpoptown.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING FROM THIS SITE. I recommend kpoptown/catchopcd, which took 2 weeks to come to Australia.

Hope this helps fans' dilemma on where to order k-cds :)

How long will KpopUSA continue to blame COVID for their lack of customer service, slow shipping and emails where they request you to sign a verification form but they fail to attach the form.

Tip for consumers:
Over $100 purchases require you to sign a verification form. This form is supposed to be emailed but in my experience it took me calling them to get the form attached to the email.

KPOPTOWN are an absolute joke of a company. Poor customer service doesnt even begin to describe just how terrible they are.

On the 30th October 2017, I pre-ordered Super Juniors Play for a group order. The order was large so it automatically was designated EMS shipping which, on their website, says takes around 3 to 5 days. Pretty normal for any EMS coming to the UK from South Korea, so I accepted the terms.

The album was released on 6th November and was to be sent out within 2-3 days however this was not the case. I messaged KPOPTOWN 3 days after the album had been released asking for a status update as the website had just shown the payment accepted status as it did when I first ordered. No reply. I put this down to perhaps lots of orders and chose to wait it out for a little while longer.

7 days later, my albums had still not been shipped nor had they replied to my email so I emailed them again and was ignored again. At this point I was getting pretty tetchy so I messaged again. And again. And again. Overall, I sent them 5 messaged before finally I threatened to open a case against them in Paypal and cancel my order. Of course, they replied to that email and apologised for the delay. This was 10 days after the albums initial release. There was no explanation for the delay, just an apology.

The albums were then shipped two days later, a whole 12 days after the release. For someone who PAID for EMS shipping, this is just simply not good enough. The shipping charge was well over £100 and for any other company, the albums would have been with me that same week.

Save yourself a headache and DO NOT order from kpoptown. I wish I had just paid the extra and went with yesasia to save hassle.

This site is really nice. There are many things about kpop and korean beauty care. The price are a little high and the shipping takes a long time.

I ordered two pink HYYH1 and HYYH2 both version and an ARMY bomb. The payment was accepted on 2/11/16 and it was shipped out from Daegu on 2/15/16. It got to the states on 2/19/16. Was at ISC NEW YORK (a sorting facility) from 2/19/16 til 3/1/16. After reading a bunch of reviews on ISC NEW YORK, I became very worried. I thought my package was gonna be held there for weeks or months. But it finally updated on the 1st of March. It left ISC on the 1st and was delivered to me on the 3rd (which is today). My package was nicely wrapped. Inside, there were foam thingies (idk what it's called) on top of my albums. My ARMY bomb was on the top. My albums came out nicely, no damaged. When i tell you that they securely wrapped this package, they really secured it. LOL. I think it was triple wrapped with tapes to be honest. Everything came in a perfect condition. I got Jungkook PCs for both of my pink HYYH and I got Junkook for my blue HYYH2 and Yoongi for peach HYYH2.

Tip for consumers:
Don't hesitate to ask for extra wrapping. Also, if you can afford it, get the tracking.

I used kpoptown to buy merch for about 2 and a half years maybe and never had a problem with them until last October when I ordered The Wings Tour Program Book. When I opened the book and was looking through it 20 pages fell right out of the book, so I sent them an email and provided them with pictures and everything. They replied a week later and offered me 3 USD, so I sent back an email saying I didn't feel that was enough when I spent almost $24 on the product itself. They replied about a week later saying that was all they would offer, so I sent another email asking them why they couldn't offer me more than 3 USD and they ignored me... I just went to PayPal after 2 and a half months and made a claim. They never paid me back, but PayPal gave me $20 in PayPal credit to settle the claim, so I still got money back. A little while later I ordered some cosmetic products from the store and had them shipped to my address, but they were shipped to my friend's address in a different state because I had sent her an album as a Christmas gift before making this purchase. Their system doesn't work well and they don't really seem to care to fix it, since there are multiple people on their tumblr who were experiencing this problem and asking them to fix it yet they have still done nothing about. I thought that this incident was just my mistake and made a note to keep in mind to select the correct addresses the next time I ordered from there. However the last order I made from there was Seventeen's new album and I made sure that I had selected my address at checkout... They ended up sending it to my aunt's address which I used for the order I made before... It arrived at her house in a little over a week after it shipped out, but I have no idea when it will actually come to me... I just deleted all the other address that I had on the account there because when you checkout it doesn't matter which address you select. It will always ship it to the last address you added to tour account.

This company deserves 0 stars.
After pre-ordering my album before release date, I hoped to receive it in time for a friend's birthday gift, which is this month. Looking at the ship times, it looked like it would get here in time at the very latest ship date.

Boy, was I wrong.

After the album was released, kpoptown messaged me inside their site's customer messages section, which I never read. They said sorry, but the album was a little bit heavier than we expected, so we need you to paypal us another $5.

Did I mention I never read that area? Well, they also emailed me but it doesn't help that it got lost in my spam folder.

I was looking for my album this week and I was wondering if everything is ok because my friend's party is this Friday. So I went on the site and I finally found these messages, they sent another message 2 days ago saying the same thing, add $5 or we won't ship.

So instead of shipping the album on time, and giving me the benefit of the doubt, or even simply paying for the $5 shipment fee themselves (yeah they can definitely afford it), they didn't ship it and just waited for me to find out that the album wasn't coming.

Talk about terrible service!

After I complained and told them I expected to be compensated for my frustration they simply told me that they are "very sorry" and they are going to make sure the album gets shipped "sometime this week."

Are you kidding me? This week? Ship it today!

Needless to say, I have cancelled my order and I won't be doing business with them again.

Edit: Ok, I thought I could cancel my order, but apparently their shipment speeds have suddenly gone from 2 days to 15 minutes. I requested that they cancel my order, and they emailed me back saying it is impossible because it already shipped. Luckily, there is a returns policy on their site that says I will get a full refund if I ship the item back to them within 14 days of receipt. I will go ahead and do that, and order from their competitors from now on.

I have spent hundreds, HUNDREDS, of dollars at Kpoptown.com and I have never been disappointed. Not one single time. Every single album or piece of merch I have ordered has come in at a reasonable time (I pay extra for tracked shipping so I can watch my package and know when it comes in) and has been in fantastic condition. I have purchased several items that were "pre-order" and I have never had any issues. I have two great examples for you:
1) I pre-ordered Seventeen's You Make My Day album as soon as pre-order was available on the site back in early July. The site said the album will be released on July 16th and when July 16th rolled around my album shipped the same day. I was very impressed and really happy!
And to those wondering about the Customer Service! >>>
2) Here in October last month, the site released Seventeen's Ideal Cut The Final Scene merchandise for pre-order. It all sold out in a whopping two days but I had managed to pre-order some. The site said it would be released on October 30th, but by November 7th my merch still had not shipped. I contacted them about my order and they got back with me 3 hours later. They told me that the merchandise was released in Korea later than expected, they told me when it would reach their warehouse, and they told me my merchandise would be shipped no later than that Monday. They also apologized to me three times throughout the message. They ended up being correct and my package did ship that Monday.
There IS customer service for Kpoptown and they have been great from my experiences. Kpoptown has a fantastic variety of items for Kpop fans or even fans of Korea. I have gotten quite a few things from Kpoptown that I wasn't able to get anywhere else! I will continue to buy stuff from them, they are my absolute favorites!

Tip for consumers:
Pay a little extra for the shipping that comes with tracking because it will put you at ease about your package because you can watch it AND it's faster than the cheaper shipping without a tracking number.

Also after you buy a few things, use your loyalty points!! You can use them as a discount and that is a fun detail.

I pre-ordered both BTS YNWA albums and both posters (pre-ordered and paid for on January 26) and I have since received my albums within the time frame I paid for of 1-2 weeks as promised (arrived to my door on February 25th, when the release date was February 14 so within 11 days technically) (they even included their own little gift with the album which I found pretty cute)

But my main issue is I haven't received my posters yet? They shipped separately and while I know there should be some time difference, it's been almost a month since I have gotten my albums and I'm confused why it's taking this long?

I would give 5 stars for the albums arriving on time and in great condition plus a little bonus gift they threw in (they were wrapped in super thick bubble wrap that could make even the sharpest of blades become safe) my posters are hereby nowhere to be found... (I'm going to contact them asking if it's typical to have this long of a wait between album and poster arrivals) so until I receive either an explanation or my posters (preferably both) it's been brought down to 3 stars... we'll see if I update this rating in the future...

UPDATE 04/10/2017
I decided to message Kpoptown on 04/02/2017 inquiring about my seemingly missing posters, and they messaged back rather quickly (I got a response the next day 04/03/2017) and they explained that since posters are mailed separately they typically take 3-6 weeks to ship regardless of the shipping package you pay for regarding the album. I was counting down the days until 6 weeks because I didn't want to complain and fight them and find out the posters get to my house the next day. It was a good choice because very shortly afterwards, my posters did show up in the mail a day or two later (04.05.2017). They were together in a (very) hard tube with bubble wrap covering the caps of both sides of the tube to ensure the posters were not damaged. Both posters were in perfect condition (had that 'just out of the factory' smell and everything) with absolutely no damages. Although they did take a long time to arrive, and the posters do not have a shipping tracker even when you get the tracking for the album, they did arrive eventually safe and sound.

I raised my rating from 3 stars to 4 because they do practice what they preach, even though there's always room for improvement. Service raised from 3 to 4 stars due to how quickly they got back to me about my order.

Tip for consumers:
I would recommend this site if you're looking for an album without a poster or an album that comes with its poster already in the album itself since it seems their albums ship within the promised time. The product prices range though so pls pls pls compare to other sites, for some products they have bargains and other items it's a total rip-off!!
