1 AM Dixie Highway (Official) Doreen Brightwell. 1h Shout out to Theresa and Deborah at the Shively Kroger to Night. Theresa was the cashier and Deborah was the Bagger. They were the ONLY lane open and it was backed Up. There were four other employees standing around Talking doing absolutely nothing! Theresa told me it was Her day off, but she came in to help out. It's good Employees like these two ladies that will finally get tired of Doing the work for others and quit to go somewhere else Where they are valued. Do better Kroger!
Kroger's online shopping is the worst experience. They have people answering the phone with attitude and just keep hanging up and put you back in the queue without letting you know. I have called four times and the issue still has not been solved. I am forced to file a chargeback on my credit card because their so-called customer connect has failed me on all levels. What protocol do you have in place if your so calls are being monitored? Disgraceful ZERO stars from me
What happend to once great company. I will drive out of my way to find another store. Need compleye management change

Kroger customer is a joke. Called 4 times, talked to a cs representative abd was disconnected after i told them what the problem was. RIDICULOUS
I recently purchased a dungeness crab from my local Kroger on Nasa Rd. 1 and Bay Area Blvd. Upon getting in my vehicle and arriving home my car had a very disturbing odor, I immediately thought about my purchase from Kroger and I open the bag and it hit me like a jug of spoiled milk! That was my dinner, but I had to eat something else. The next day I return the crab to the location which is closer to my home which is El Camino Real and Bay area Blvd. The manager by the name of Thomas told me that I needed a receipt and did not have it, I explained Kroger's policy if no receipt and it's 10.00 dollars or less it can be returned for cash, but over 10 dollars it's a store credit. I even pulled it up on my phone to show him and he still refused and placed my item on a bench and walked away saying show me a receipt. Being frustrated I drove to the original store and Annette in customer service was very professional and with zero hesitation she gave me a gift card of 25.00 dollars. I shared with her what had occurred and she new the policy that I spoke of and also stated that it doesn't make a difference which store you return an item to. I went back and spoke with Thomas about not knowing his own store policy and after showing it to him again he still didn't get it. His reasoning was that he has crackheads in the neighborhood returning items all the time and I asked so are you profiling me and of course the answer was no, but why make that statement Thomas I said. Long story short I showed him my credentials to put him at ease to let him know that I could afford a 25.00 dollar crab. He then offered me a gift card and I kindly declined because that wasn't my focus to get something for free, but to make me whole with what I spent and nothing more. This is why I stopped shopping at Walmart vs Target and I'm now going to shop at HEB vs Kroger. It's a total different atmosphere.

Their coupon savings app sucks, the app design is twisted couple times and it does NOT work. Don't download the app. Go to Walmart.
Tip for consumers:
Competitive price shopping is advised. Dont count their coupon clipping app, it is sucks and you won't get the saving as the result.

This exfoliating sponge is good but after one use, it breaks apart. It's useful for one use and if you need and exfoliator urgently.
This review is kind of a mixed bag, but, ultimately has a happy ending. I have a friend who sent me a Kroger e-gift card so that I could use it for fuel, but, it turns out, Kroger doesn't allow you to use e-gift cards for fuel, even though it says in the terms and conditions of the e-gift card that you can use it for fuel.
So, I spent an hour at this location in Avon, Indiana, trying to get it resolved but was unable to get it resolved because I didn't have certain personal information about the purchaser. Frankly, I don't understand why an e-gift card can't perform the same functions as an actual physical gift card. It would be great if Kroger could rectify this.
My hope is that in the future, Kroger will allow e-gift cards to be used to purchase fuel. With that said, the acting store manager I believe, Joseph, was really great about everything. He was literally on the phone for probably 30 minutes trying to get it resolved and he had to call a few different numbers to get to the correct department.
Unfortunately, as I said above, because I didn't have certain personal information about the purchaser, they could not move forward with the process. Joseph, however, went out of his way to help me and bought me $30 dollars worth of gas with HIS money.
Pretty amazing customer service and Joseph was cool as a cucumber the entire time because he knew I was stressed about the situation. I'm not mad at Kroger or anything, because I love shopping there. But, they really need to update the legalese in the terms and conditions with regard to their e-gift cards so that it doesn't say you can purchase fuel with an e-gift card.
Joseph is an amazing manager and human being for helping me because I truly did need to get gas and he made that happen. There are still great people out there who want to help and I am grateful that they exist, because we need as much human kindness as we can muster in this world. Because it is only us, as a collective, who can change this world.
Thank you for helping, Joseph, you are a good egg :) I will continue to be a loyal Kroger customer because outside of this minor snafu, Kroger is still the best grocery store around.

I placed an order for delivery for Saturday, July 29 between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
For over a year Kroger kept posting on their website that the driver will contact you when they arrive. But Kroger customer service representatives, supervisors and corporate office personnel kept telling me that it's not their policy. But they ignored my question why they had it on their website.
I have to keep going back and forth in my apartment building looking for the delivery truck.
This morning about 15 minutes to 6:00 I thought I heard a truck pulling into the complex. I opened the front door of the building and thought I heard an engine running. But it was dark outside and I didn't know if I heard the air conditioners of the other residents. Turned out the driver turned off every light on the truck. Normally I could see the flashers and the lights on the corners of the box.
Since it had just rained and I was in my stocking feet I ran up the two flights of stairs and slipped on my shoes.
At the same time my doorbell rang. I immediately went down the stairs. As soon as I reached the second flight I saw my groceries laying on the filthy sidewalk. I asked the driver why he dumped my groceries on the ground.
He rudely responded that he had the RIGHT to leave the groceries on the ground if I didn't answer the door.
He either put the bags on the ground right before or immediately after ringing the doorbell. He was too lazy and incompetent to wait 10-15 seconds for me to get to the door.
Also he was 10 minutes before the scheduled delivery window.
He had no intention to be professional and hand me the bags.
He needs to be terminated.
At about 6 pm on Thursday, June 10,2021 I visited the Kroger store located at ******* Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA *******. Although my previous visits have been pleasant today's experience was less than desirable and personally offensive. While shopping I decided to pick up a couple of steaks and began my search with the pre-packaged meats available in the refrigerator case across from the meat department counter. Seeing nothing I wanted I waited as the person at the meat counter served another customer. During this time, he was very attentive and appeared pleasant as he interacted with the customer.
Unfortunately, as I approached the counter the demeanor of person at the meat counter changed dramatically. Instead of asking if I needed assistance, he simply glanced in my direction, walked to the farthest end of the counter and began rearranging merchandise. At one point he disappeared in the back and returned empty handed but continued rearranging items at the far end of the counter. Not once did he acknowledge my presence at the counter or offer assistance. It was not until I eventually asked for assistance that he acknowledge my presence with a sneer and asked very flatly if I needed something. I decided not to purchase steaks because your employee gave the impression he'd rather be doing something other than assisting me with my order.
I have no ideal why the Kroger employee responded to me the way he did. It would be easy to make his change in disposition about race because the only difference between me and the previous customer is that he was white and I am black. Despite my suspicions, I want to provide feedback about my experience, because regardless of the reason, all customers should be treated the same regardless of an employee's personal biases, workload or even if they are just having a bad day. As a retired veteran and now veteran's education counselor I have never been inclined to pick and choose with whom I will be professional. Nor should Kroger employees. Oftentimes I am asked by friends, family and colleagues the location of a good place to buy groceries and other items. In the future it will not be the Midlothian Kroger store. Today it only cost Kroger a couple of steaks. Tomorrow who knows.
After my last review Kroger Home delivery still haven't given me my refund or even contacted me about my refund

Disgruntled employees, few people to help, expired items, more bare shelves and higher prices every week.
I first love Krogers because they had my Topo Chico mineral water. But now 3 weeks later without it.
The store is terrible! It stinks and needs a major remodel. Poorly stocked... Minimal selections. To
Tip for consumers:
Pathetic that Kroger would allow a store in such bad shape, horrible presentation, poorly stock exist. I am from AZ and date a 30 year employee. We are both embarrassed and disappointed.
I decided to try the Kroger Boost free trial to since my Shipt was expiring and I was told with Boost that you get same prices as shopping at the store.
My first order was $190. I was contacted about 4 times on substitutions but it wasn't a direct communication from the shopper like with Shipt. But that's ok…then I was told they were going to check out then I got a notice saying they were on the way. I live less that 5!min away but because I'm disabled, I use delivery.
So I waited. About 15 min had passed. I check and it says delivered. So I check to see if they left it at the garage door but nothing. So I go back to Kroger.com to see it said cancelled. But my bill was 211.00. So I check the item list and there were things I had not ordered added to it.
I immediately do an on line chat. The Kroger rep contacted instaCart who told her the shopper had a flat tire. I told her he had added items I didn't order so we agreed he stole the order.
But I was charged $211.00 and told it would be 5 to 7 days to be refunded…
I'm disabled, on a fixed income so what was I supposed to do for food now. Luckily I borrowed some money and bought groceries. But after 7 days I was wasn't credited back yet. It took three more phone calls to Kroger and filing a claim with my bank before I ever got my refund. 12 days later it was refunded back to my bank account.
Needless to say I cancelled the trial of Boost the day I used it (I have a screen shot saying the rep did cancel it just in case I'm charged)
But as I explained to the financial dept at Krogers, I signed up for grocery delivery with them, not instaCart therefore I feel they should've immediately returned my money and then they wait for reimbursement from InstaCart. I feel they don't care about their customers and if I had not been able to borrow some money, I would've had no food for 12 days.
I know this is happening a lot because after I told some people what happened, I had one person say there are many times they have items missing they get charged For and just tonight a friend called to say their groceries were just stolen by instaCart too.
Why is Krogers still using InstaCart is what I want to know?
I refuse to patron a grocery store whose throwing up a huge "middle finger" to Americans by increasing their foods prices so ridiculously higher than Food Lion...Ill patron Food Lion...I bought a loaf of bread which I've been buying for years for $2.99 loaf and it was $4.29! Food Lion has same brand for $3.29! Further another item I regularly purchase for $5.99 has increased by whole dollar now $6.99! I spent $60 on less than 10 items and had shopped Food Lion earlier in the week and purchased double the amount of groceries which rang up $120 and when cashier applied my FL card it brought my balance down to $87...there are a lot more people worse off than me, but if Food Lion can help Americans by selling at lower prices then what hell wrong with Kroger? Lastly, I got to register at Kroger paid and walked from the register reviewed my receipt and not one item I had purchased as a BOGO was discounted...if I hadn't been careful then I would have purchased extra items thinking I was getting it at BOGO and was charged...I shouldn't have to watch these cashier's as the items should automatically be discounted but obviously they are not! Coffee prices were insane and again Food Lions got much better pricing on their coffee by almost $2.00 a box...Kroger is ridiculous! I just happened to be in the area as my local Food Lion store is close to my home but had the prices been consistent I wouldn't really mind the extra few minutes to shop at Kroger but not at their prices...it's a known fact a lot of Americans especially seniors are struggling and you would think Kroger being a larger chain would be conscious & try keep their prices more affordable...there was not one item on the shelf at Kroger that can beat Food Lion prices and that's the truth...I have two teen boys that eat me out of house and home as they are not concerned about how much they consume hell their growing boys but honestly I cannot afford Kroger so Ill continue to patron Food Lion who appears by their pricing at least trying to keep their prices down for average Americans!

I sent the following complaint to Kroger from my online account, without receiving any reply or remedy:
Dysfunctional Kroger VIP card, digital coupon, and Kroger Customer Connect system
I have had problems in using my VIP card No. ************** for digital coupons, which I clip and add to my list on the computer, at Fry's store in Sierra Vista, Arizona for more than two months. During that period, I have wasted a lot of my time in trying to solve that problem, by going to the customer service in that store and filing several online complaints through my account. However, this simple problem has not been solved. On October 27,2022, Abigail from Kroger responded to my complaint, apologizing for the problems and informing me that she added $15 to my account (Reference #*******). However, it was not found in my account. She did not reply to my emails about that. She had asked me to call *******377, which I did. The responder told me that she had fixed the problem of digital coupons. However, I found out that it was not fixed and clipped digital coupons did not show up at check out. I told Abigail and her that there was a wrong VIP card No. ************** in my online account, which I could not edit to replace it with the correct number. She said that she could not do it either. I again filed a complaint, Reference #*******, to which Malique from Kroger answered asking me to edit the wrong VIP card number in my online account, in spite of my having stated in my new complaint that it could not be done with repeated attempts, to which I get the message that my last name and correct VIP account number do not match. All this shows that the whole Kroger system is dysfunctional. I may switch to Safeway for that reason.
Tip for consumers:
Dysfunctional Kroger VIP card, digital coupon, and Kroger Customer Connect system. They did not solve even a simple problem of wrong VIP card number in my account, due to which I cannot use digital coupons. I was unable to edit it to correct number and their customer connect employees could not either. I wasted a lot of time on this problem.
Kroger is unorganized I feel like never shop online and do deliver because there was this accident that occur where the person who was shopping for me doing delivery overcharged my card and clear up the whole issue with my bank and called Kroger they gave me fund and payed for my groceries last time I came their but I had go through this trouble somebody screwed up at their end and overcharged my card and bought groceries I didn't buy and instacart and people who do are deliveries for this shouldn't be a loosely business where you hire random people to shop for you because might be able to get away with overcharging your card they can run scott free not being hold accountable for it which mess up they need to be held accountable for it or somebody does this delivery business should exist or it should be so loose and more organized and know where the people are when food like tracker on them or turn it into physical business where you have go to a public building and wear uniform maybe switch your cars and have a tracker just something to keep track of the deliver food and the workers their are rude and should be nicer and polite I mean if you can't afford something you couldn't afford or you just don't want to buy it you change your mind at the last because maybe you weren't sure what you were buying or how much it would cost and thought you could afford it that's not our fault we didn't do it on purpose plus it's one of their jobs to return stuff if someone rejects order no matter how many times they do it what did Kroger expect it was going to be like working their

I normally shop at my local Kroger which is less than 2 mi from my home. I decided to do the grocery delivery because I'm having some issues with my car. Got up early that morning and placed the order. Set up for it to be delivered within 2 hours. The delivery person which is through instacart, knocked on my door and the groceries were there. Didn't really have a chance to look through the bags as I was bringing everything inside. Realize immediately that he had given me someone else's order. I received none of the items that I ordered and the items that I did receive are things that I'm unable to eat. I cannot eat dairy or beef. The items included for huge roles of ground beef and several containers of milk. I immediately called their customer service number and was offered a refund. They also gave me a $30 credit on my Kroger account. I feel that this was not good enough because I would have to wait 3 to 5 business days for my money to be refunded back to my card. In the meantime what are me and my family supposed to eat for the remaining of the week. Most of the items I ordered were things that my kids like to eat. So I called them back and ask them to rectify the situation better. It's ridiculous to have to wait 3 to 5 business days to get your money back when they had just debited the money out of my account less than an hour before that. They issued me an additional credit. I get online this morning to place another order and find out that the credit can only be used for in-store purchases. I cannot even place another order online and use that credit. So I completely got screwed by them. Technically instacart is mainly the blame but they should really consider not using instacart for their deliveries. I have seen a lot of complaints regarding the instacart drivers, things like stealing and orders getting messed up. I get that mistakes happen but this was a big mistake. So even though they screwed up I now have to find a ride to the store today to buy food for my family. Thanks Kroger! You guys suck and after I'm done shopping today I am through with your company. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. You have lost my business and I'm sure that it doesn't bother you but others will follow along when they realize how bad this company has gotten.
