I just posted my pups not sure how this works but I'm Tampa fl have Yorkie pups all female 1200 Ready to go home now no scam no deposit pick up only they are 16 weeks first shots and examined 813 seven 7 zero 55 two eight text me serious inquiries only thanks 33596 zip
I drove over 2 hours to see a puppy. When I got there the puppy looked ok. But the parents were filthy and matted and The sire was looking petrified. They had him hidden until I asked to see him. The puppy had smelly ears so I figured it had an ear infection or something going on. The puppy was also living in a cage on the barn floor with some hay. I almost bought him, but my gut said no. I looked again and he is sold. I hope someone has luck with him and he is healthy.
This site does not vet breeders responsibly. They allow breeders who have been cited for mistreatment and neglect and breed solely for profit. I can't imagine they are not aware of this, given that the breeder, OWEN YODER (as well as the names of sellers he disguises himself under), is listed as one of the "Horrible Hundred" puppy mills in Ohio. This website should never allow this breeder to advertise. The puppy received was sick and underweight. I did email them about it and they said they'd "double check the account". I won't hold my breath but will update this review if anything promising becomes of it. Let's hope they do the right thing.
Update 01/08/2021:
Numerous emails were sent out as a follow up and this site has done NOTHING to prevent more puppies from being sold through this "breeder". The least they could do is remove "prevent puppy mills" from their homepage given that they are completely complicit in allowing these operations to continue.
Update 04/21/22:
Owen Yoder is still selling puppies on this site. This site is nothing more than a online puppy mill, and those running it know exactly that.
Bottom line: DO NOT BUY A DOG FROM THIS SITE! If you can get a purebred puppy in a matter of weeks, you are getting it from a puppy mill. Simple as that. Reputable breeders have long waiting lists and limited amounts of litters. DO YOUR RESEARCH! LOOK UP WHAT A PUPPY MILL REALLY IS!
A guy name James in canton Ohio is selling Ameeican Bully OBH is his kennel Beware a picture of the Dad and mom is at bottom and he is on Hoobly site too
The breeder was an honest person, extremely easy to deal with and sold a wonderful puppy! I was extremely pleased!
Excellent, this is exactly what we love to hear!
I had to go through a background check just to be a seller. Keep up the great work Lancaster puppies as far as selling Superior over the rest
Wonderful puppy kinda skidish. Puppy smelled bad and needed bathed besides that she's great would consider.
So we found our perfect cockapoo in Sept of 2020. We drove 3 hours from NYC to Mifflinburg to get him and he was on a farm with the Horning family. He just turned a year and he is the most smartest and sweetest boy i've ever incountered. Well we decided to get another dog this year and of course I came back to Lancaster puppies and this time we wanted to get a chocolate cockapoo. We found a cute little one and called to inquire and was told that she was sold. Pam was the seller and she texted me that she would have a litter of chocolate cockapoos and that she would send over pictures as soon as the next day. When she did, they were beautiful but they looked a bit dirty and one of the pups seemed to have had a eye infection. I decided to pick one of the males that had blue eyes. They were 6 weeks old and had about two weeks left to get upto date shots and able to come home with us. Pam sent me a link where she said I could put a deposit in for the pup. Well, when I clicked on the link it was a whole other website puppyforyou.com with a whole lot of other pups and they just didn't look alright. I of course right away thought puppy mill and decided to back out of getting a pup from them. I also did try and research the website and saw reviews and they weren't good. I am a person that rather buy from a family that had a litter of puppies and just wanted to sell them. I will not support pet stores and puppy mills. Hope this helps and hope everyone does their research and gets their perfect pet.
Tip for consumers:
Do your research. Lancaster puppies are not all puppy mills.
Thank you, Vesna, for your review. We're glad you had a good experience working through our website to purchase a puppy. Enjoy your new family member!
I've been advertising on Lancaster puppies for about 8-9 yrs here & there, my sister too, she breeds Westies. I do Toy Poodles & Yorkies. I'm licensed & I only have nine dogs total so you can see... not everyone is a puppy mill. I've never had a problem with Lancaster, their prices have went up over the years, their site is a little outdated but I have no complaints. My only advice to them is their money comes from us dog breeders and they should probably keep that in mind. Half these reviews are bogus. This next advice is for dog breeders in reference to puppy buyers. Be careful & be weary. Be careful who you invite to your home, definitely screen them first. Avoid anybody that is overly concerned about weight. Toy breeds are supposed to be between 3-4 lbs up to 12 -14 lb. Which is a really small ratio of weight difference compared to other classes of dog breed weights. If you get a ridiculous person that is dead set on weight they're probably not going to be a good pick. There is ridiculous people out there that are constantly trying to buy three four & five pound dogs but it doesn't always work out to be that way. Next... if someone can't use the words please or thank you avoid them at all costs. They will not appreciate the work that you have done. If they seem demanding pushy, in a hurry or have 10 really off the wall questions that don't even make sense, avoid them. There are definitely "Karens" out there shopping for a puppy. Adopting a tiny dog... always be weary of how many young children are in the home & ask lots of questions like do they rent or own, whats their yard situation, work schedule & so on. I avoid having any pups at Christmas time because Christmas shoppers are the absolute worst. They're impatient, snarky rude & pushy. Remember the work that you do is a lot of work... it's 7 days a week. For one litter of pups I can have 75 phone calls, 300 emails & 100 texters. Its alot of work. Choose families that are kind to you & that will show face of how they may treat their dog. Kindness pays. There's way too many people to choose from so be picky! Bless our lil babies
Mimi, Thank you for sharing this from a breeder's perspective. We understand that many of our breeders put a lot of work into raising happy, healthy pups, and then also put in countless hours dealing with customers, some of which can be rude and impatient. We strive to bring value to both our breeders and their customers on Lancaster Puppies. You may contact us at contact@lancasterpuppies with any concerns or recommendations you have for us!
Let's talk about puppy shoppers ----
Been advertising on Lancaster for about 7 years. The people that shop on there are horrible. Letting them know... all of us dog breeders keep track of yuins. We share our info. We keep track of shoppers that are rude aggressive pushy demanding don't use the words please or thank you, don't respond, don't show up & treat us poorly or tell lies about other breeders. We share your info so other breeders can *beware. Particularly when they don't get what they want, maybe a certain puppy, maybe a certain price, maybe a certain time or date they want for pickup or shipping. I've had people turn me into my dog warden on a made up false complaints because I wouldn't hold a puppy for 3 weeks. I'm sure all dog breeders can relate. Just know we keep your info. As for Lancaster puppies, I have no issues with them. They're not always polite. They'll take your money and keep it in a heartbeat and delete your ads. Or so ive heard thru the grapevine. As far as it being a good place to get a puppy. Well it's a classified site. It's not puppy mill. For all you people that ship your dogs and then you get a sick puppy and you're complaining. That's your problem. Why didn't you go to the person's house and pick up your dog? Too lazy? How about half you puppy shoppers get up off your butt and do your job. Get off your butt get in your car drive to people's home. Stop doing shipping and then complaining about what you got. If you go to someone's home and and you see disgusting filth and you decide to buy a dog anyway. Shame on you. Shame shame shame on you especially if you came on here and complained afterwards. What a disgrace disgrace you are.
Thank you, Laura, for your review. We're glad you have good experiences selling on our website. Thanks for spreading the good word!
Purchased a puppy off this site by a person who is using an alias and marketing herself as a breeder who sold me a sick dog with Parvo Virus.

At first when I arrived I was very skeptical and worrisome bc I suffer really bad anxiety and the Yoders just appeared out of nowhere. The Yoders were very welcoming, offered me to go into their house to pick up 'Kotton', and I declined but everything looked super clean and well kept when I arrived. Both apodera were super friendly and informative. She asked for the money, and I kindly asked if we can exchange at the same time I received the pup, and she was very understanding and said "yes, of course, I get you do not know me very well". It was a rain full event that ended with sunshine at the end. None the less, I drove from R. I. to PA, the Yoders were very informative and waiting for my safe arrival to pick up our beautiful Cocker Spaniel. Very well taken care of and full of love I received my playful, warm hearting, and HEALTHY PUP! I highly recommend their services. The following day I got my Mothers Day gift pup checked for everything up to his fecal and thank GOD all of his labs were negative! The pup came with a bash of food, ACÁ. Paperwork to transfer ownership, Guarantee Health Certificate and updated Immunization records. He didn't even have parasites so we are forever thankful for, Lancaster Puppies! Thank you again, Lancaster Puppies!

Thank you, Alice, for your review. We're glad you had a good experience working through our website to purchase a puppy. Enjoy your new family member!
So to begin this, I was looking for a German Shepherd Puppy, and I thought I found the one. He was adorable but expensive, $1,500 but I thought he was worth it. Of course, I looked up everything about the breed and all that. I googled the Breeder's name. Turns out he was a puppy mill breeder who is horrible to his dogs! I read the article. He has a kennel and got approved to hold 100+ dogs! He even says in his own words that when a male or female isn't fertile anymore he will hit it with a rock to kill it, bury it alive, shoot it, choke it, and even more very inhumane ways were described. People please, please, please do your research! You don't want to support this! The puppy your getting has likely not been socialized. That puppy is probably not purebred and if it happens to say it has champion bloodlines it probably doesn't. That puppy that's so cute in the picture online was all groomed up and was probably touched for the first time to take pictures. That puppy lives in a cage, ontop and under other cages. When the dogs above go to the bathroom it comes down on that puppy and when that puppy goes to the bathroom, it goes to the dogs and puppies below it. That puppy's father is likely not hip certified and most likely abused. That puppy's mother is overbred. Constantly getting bred. One litter, then sometimes even before she stops producing milk that mom is bred again. She's bred until she is not fertile then, she is either killed in an inhumane way or sold to another breeder at a dog auction. A dog auction is where breeders bring dogs and puppies and the highest bid wins. That puppy's parents are suffering because people don't really do research. That puppy's parents could be dead right now because they are no longer fertile. This is not all Amish but from my research, it's a lot more than you think. I think we need to fight for justice for these poor pups! And no, I did not buy that puppy, though it is pronounced sold.
Tip for consumers:
Research the breeder!!! If there is only a first name they might not be so good. Email or call them to find out their last name. Sometimes if it says like Cindy for Jack (just an example) It's not so good either. In my example, Cindy is a person who posts puppies for other people in this case Cindy is not the breeder.

Thank you, Ava, for your review. We're glad you had a good experience working through our website to purchase a puppy. Enjoy your new family member!
I breed about 40 pups per year. I'm in Ohio. Small kennel (11 dogs) licensed. Inspected. Yorkies and the "occasional Morkie.
Been advertising on LP for 10 yrs. People shopping for pups are soooooo RUDE. I keep a rotten-puppy-shopper list lol. Ask me for it. Have 400 names of people u should not sell a dog to. Beware all these younger generations w/ ZERO MANNERS OR RESPECT. Philly area is the worse. Wont even talk to people in philly. Tell them the pup is sold. People from long island & New Jersey are snotty and snarky quite often the rudest. Others will barter so hard, it's insulting to a breeder as if im a flea market. I've said no thank you to an offer of a 1100 less to a lady wearing $200 fake eyelashes. I was verbally attacked & threatened cause I wouldn't lower my price. I had another customer threaten me, turn me in over not letting her and her 6 kids come to my house to visit my pups. I wasnt rude. Just said it wasnt a good idea. No one with 6 kids needs one of my Yorkies. Dear breeders DO NOT SELL THEM YOUR PRECIOUS PUPPY. TOO MANY PEOPLE TO CHOSE FROM. CHOOSE the ones that treat u with kindness. As far as Lancaster puppy site... They cater to Amish breeders not us other breeders so much. Its a nice site tho. Its reasonably priced. This site is classified. Anyone can advertise like a newspaper classifieds section. There is 12,000 breeders on there probably. The ratio of complaints per ratio of puppy sales is very very very low 1% complaints. It's a good site. Be helpful if they remembered who pays them. Dog breeders pay them
If you adopted a dog from the site, make a good review here please. Could use it. As u can see people tend to post bad reviews and will make time for it. But people wont make time to post a good review. Often bad reviews is lead by emotions anger and often lack of info or pure ignorance.
