Sizing changes over time so you can't count on buying the same thing at a later date and not getting a horror show. Returns are overly complicated and far too expensive. Pants that fit beautifully a year ago are now for a fat lady (a very fat lady) and cost of return is almost one-third the price of the item. Call customer service and get told you will have to wait 31 minutes. Getting out the sewing machine to tailor myself and not buying from this company again.
Ordered a number of things - hats, gloves, scarfs on 12/1/2021. Received each item one at a time over a period of three weeks - poor management. Received messages a week before Christmas that the 2 waterproof gloves I ordered wouldn't be shipped until 12/28/2021 even though they were available when I ordered them. I still don't have them. Received another message that they are back ordered until 1/15/2022. Will not be ordering from this company again. It is a shame because items are very good quality.
I am shocked that any company has these kind of refund policies. I payed $45.85 for shoes that had to be returned because my husband could not even get his foot in the shoe.So they definitely were not worn! My refund was $29.07. I have never experienced this anywhere. We will not be shopping Lands' End.
I ordered work apparel from Lands End. It's now coming on 50 days and still, the order has not shipped. I have emailed and called and they cannot give me the ship date. Spend your money on a smaller local company that actually cares about its customers.
So I gotta say. I order from Lands End quite a bit, but this last experience has changed that. I recently placed a order and then realized it was the wrong size so I called to cancel the order. The operator did not suggest that she could change the size since it had not shipped yet. It has been a week and I have not received the "dropped authorization" on my debit card. So in short, if you order from this company make sure you are ordering the right price. Because you will not receive your refund or the "dropped authorization" for all eternity.
One of the best sites for quality clothing for the entire family, including pets. They are always having sales and bonus sales, so it's a good idea to check the site frequently if you are eye balling something special that is a little too pricey, it may be reduced when you check back. I purchased a down jacket last week and yesterday they had marked down the price an additional $30 so I called them and they adjusted the price. Another bonus of Land's End is that they have a lifetime guarantee on their products. You can't beat that!
I purchased two sheath-dresses from Land's End. They came in a timely manner but were to small. I had to exchange them. Ok, so I'm thinking their GREAT return policy that I had heard so much about. I returned them a week ago via UPS and the return label provided by Land's End. I call asking for an update on the return. The return is not in their system. The lady in customer service informed me returns take at least three weeks! Moral of the story. Do not order from Land's End unless you are sure of the size.
I don't understand why anyone would want to shop this site. It seems only the more well-to-do can afford their brand and there is nothing special about them but the price. It is one store I used to see a lot of ads for, but no longer. I have heard a lot of people complain that this store rips people off for nothing better than any other average and/or reasonable department store. I also had some friends say a lot of their clothing are nothing but knock-offs with an inflated price tag.? And the quality is in question, too.
These are not wrinkle-free in the least. I tried 4 pairs about 4 years ago and had the same disappointment. Thought maybe they had a new supplier but the same results happened. The first washing produced a puckered, wrinkled fabric and even the creases didn't hold. Haven't heard back from them yet so stay tuned. JC
I try to read reviews before I order from a company. Every one I look at is negative. So, since I order from Land's End, I decided to check theirs. I'm stunned at all the negative comments.
I have ordered several times in the past few months. Items arrived promptly & as described. I got great sale prices on items. I haven't had to return anything, so don't know about that.
I ordered several Christmas gifts & everyone seemed very happy with them.
The clothing quality is hit and miss. Return policy is crap. You have to pay for return shipping and then you only get merchandise credit. For the high prices one pays, one should be able to get a full refund! $70 pajama sets deserve better return policies. Take your chances elsewhere.
While I don't dislike the quality of most of their products I've ordered, their return process is a nightmare.it was strictly a size issue. It took me 20 minutes to navigate on the site and I still have to drive 40-45 minutes to the nearest "Happy Returns" site. Give me a break. How dare I live in a small town!
I will NEVER again order of Lands End and will advise all friends and family to do the same. Customer service was VERY rude and snippy. I was not informed while placing my order via phone that the rate my catalog showed no longer applied. I was also not informed about a ridiculously high shipping charge. On top of that, the order placed took 3 months to arrive. Be warned, terrible service all around — spend your money elsewhere!
I got a ugly swimsuit that i have not ordered from a guy called Richard Smigielski, Chelsea MA. I called the customer service it seems they are aware about sending random items to people. I've never bought anything in this store. Very weird! They are stealing people information from another website
Bought a dog jacket which sadly was just too big for my dog, so sent in a return request...
Total purchase amount $44.97 USD
Amount refunded $29.02 USD
Be warned! Seems they don't refund shipping either way and shipping cost is kinda crazy for a small dog jacket - I wont buy from them again...
Lands' End used to stand for quality. Now, their products are crap due to crap fabrics! I bought 2, $30 tunics, worn once and full of pillies. You know, little tiny balls. Once there's balls, it's a PJ shirt or GoodWill! My review isn't about design or colors, it's about crappy fabrics and cutting corners AND charging way too much for crap!
I have had so much trouble from this company all year trying to order, keeps forgetting my password. Takes days to fix... product not embroidered... i'm am so done with this crap i would give a zero if i could
WOW! I wish I would have looked at the reviews before I placed my order. Placed my $654 to have for a conference that begins on 10/16. I placed the order on 10/1 and on 10/15 it still shows processing. It also still shows an estimated arrival of 10/5-10/10 on all items. I called customer service on 10/12 and spoke with a very plesant agent. She said she had been with the company for 38 years and had never seen anything like the shipping issues that they were currently experiencing. I asked about canceling the order and she advised that she would request the cancelation but could not offer a guarantee. I thanked her and said I would contact Amex to receive a refund. Love their products but will NEVER order again!
I only write negative reviews after I try multiple times to resolve the situation and the experience is so awful, I want to prevent future customers from experiencing stress and time wasted:
I was preparing for a trip and ordered many items online from different websites. All of them shipped within 2 days.
I ordered 2 swimsuits from Land's End.
After 3 days, I asked customer service if the items would arrive on time.
I was assured the order was processed that day and would be shipped shortly.
They shipped 6 days later.
The package arrived AFTER I was already out of town.
They sent the wrong swimsuit.
They apologize and offer free return shipping and refund.
This is my first time ordering from Land's End and the last because of:
Items arriving late
Unhelpful customer service
Getting the wrong item
Extra time and effort on the customer's end to fix their mistakes
Buyer beware. Lands' End charges for returns if you live outside of a drop-off area. I live in a rural area and the closest Lands' End drop off is several states away. Given the new culture of on-line shopping, their policy is antiquated. Will never order from them again.
Answer: They charged me shipping on my order. (I no longer patronize them because they charge for shipping returns, even if the product is deficient.)
Answer: Beware of Lands End's current "free" shipping scam. We get emails almost daily from Lands End offering discounts on certain items or even any item they carry and the have also been offering "free" shipping. Of course almost every online shopping site is offering free shipping right now. The difference between all other sites/sellers free shipping is that they will either give it to UPS, FedEX, or the USPS and those people make the actual delivery to your door in a few days. I'm assuming it is an effort to save money Lands End "free" ships packages via UPS BUT only to your closest major postal facility and drops all the "free" shipments there. It is then up to the USPS to sort everything and deliver the package to your home. This can result in a delay of from several days to a week or more. Our latest purchase was dropped at the sorting facility on 12/5. From there it needed to be sorted and delivered to the mail facility that handles home mail deliveries. Bottom line is that we didn't get the delivery until 12/9. That is after leaving the Lands End warehouse on! 2/2. I get shipments from LL Bean or Amazon purchases delivered in 2-3 days. The response we got after questioning Lands End was that if we want deliveries in 2-3 days we would have to pay for shipping. Considering the delivery times I get from other sellers offering free shipping, I think Lands End is misleading customer's expectations of "free" shipping. Come on Lands End, I want that big brown truck to bring my packages to my front door and want it to be REALLY free or you have lost a long time customer.
Answer: I don;t know about knit pants but I have had the Starfish for a couple of years now and they don't become baggy--just a little but they bounce right back after washing. I was very happy with mine, went to get a new pair and ended up with a pair I cannot wear. Dismayed to find that returns are too complicated (expensive, too) so will be getting out the sewing machine to make them fit (they are huge in the thigh). I think the problem lies with having ordered Tall. The old pants are just Regular. Be careful about sizing!
Answer: Several years ago i ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses from LE. I had to send two back for a different size. The replacement dresses were a slightly different shade of the color. Then had to send all 5 dtesses back to get all same color. What a mess!
