I booked a trip to Budapest for me and my wife to stay at the 5 star InterContinental Hotel and it went very smooth and no problems whatsoever. They were far cheaper than any other company and I would recommend lastminute.com 100%

Booked a flight on Lastminute, the airline cancelled the flight, the airline confirmed a full refund to the same method of payment as they've cancelled the flight, but still last minute was deducting 15% from my money as "handling fee" where they didn't handle anything, they even asked me to contact the airline to process the refund they didn't bother to handle this on my behalf. And their customer service and their complaint department showed extremely poor communication to handl this issue.

I recently had an absolutely terrible experience with Lastminute.com that I feel compelled to share to warn others. My family and I booked flights through them, and what followed was a nightmare that caused immense stress, financial loss, and unnecessary trauma.
We were scheduled to fly on August 1st with a return on August 7th, and we received confirmation of the flight change. However, due to a gross error on Lastminute.com's part, these changes were not communicated to the airline. We only discovered this mistake at the airport when we were told by the Qatar Airways manager at the check-in counter that our tickets were not confirmed. Imagine the horror of being stranded at the airport with two young children, ages 4 and 8, and being told that your tickets are invalid!
Despite trying to contact Lastminute.com's customer service multiple times, we received no help. In the end, we were forced to purchase new tickets at an additional cost of 273,000 forints just to get home. This last-minute expense was not only a financial burden but also caused significant stress and anxiety for my children and me. We were literally running to the boarding gate, crying and panicking, and barely made it onto the flight.
Adding insult to injury, when I contacted Lastminute.com afterward to demand a refund and compensation, their response was a flat-out refusal. This is completely unethical, especially considering that the mistake was entirely theirs. I was essentially scammed into paying twice for the same flight!
I am now considering legal action and strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid Lastminute.com at all costs. They have demonstrated a complete lack of responsibility and customer care, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Save yourself the stress, financial loss, and heartache—book with a more reliable service.

Lastminute running a practised scam
It seems this company is practising a click through Bait and switch scam. I got a price on Cheapflights.com quoted by lastminute including a check-in bag but when I paid for the transaction, the message I got was that it may take 3 days to confirm the booking which put me on alert as this was not something i have seen before. Then when they confirmed the booking they stated that it was excluding check-in baggage for which there was an extra fee which increased the total by 50%. I immediately tried to get through to them which is impossible as they do NOT publish a customer care number and their webchat agent a Mariglen just kept saying you confirmed the booking and if you have proof that this included baggage they would look into it. I stated that they will have the whole log recorded from when i came through to the booking and on what terms and under GDPR I requested that. She did not reply to that even when asked twice. As a customer who records the web history? I have not needed to but maybe it is something I have to look into in future. I asked her for a copy of the webchat transcript which she said would be available at the end. It was not which is clearly another scam they pull to make sure you never have a record of the conversation. I then immediately notified my Credit card company of this as an attempted fraud; they told me that the billling was not even done by the company i expected but another one and the billing company had even retained my card details to sign me up for a subscription for a service I had NOT consented to. The credit card agent stated that as this was a suspected fraud, they would cancel the card and cancel the subscription and investigate the transaction. Hopefully this then results in a full refund which can apparently take nearly a month. In the meantime, I went back into the same travel search engine to see if that route still has has seats and pricing and surprise surprise lastminute is not shown but the price I paid did include baggage directly from the airline itself. So it is clear that Lastminute has not done this for the first time.
I booked the wrong date by mistake and wanted to cancel later for some reason but couldn't find any communication channel except a form on their website which i filled and submitted many times but not getting any response via email or phone. I booked on lastminute.ae
Never use this horrendous company. Booked a luxury long weekend for me and my youngest daughter to the canaries. Beautiful adult only hotel, paid for all the upgrades packages, took out their insurance and extra benefits package. Flow in to Tenerife great British Airways flight landed at 17:30 hours. Got to Tenerife, went to get our transfer, only to be told the hotel was in Fuerteventura. Completely wrong Island. Spent 4 and a half hours at.55p per minute, trying to get through to their usual Indian customer support team. 16 times they just hung up on us. NEVER USE THIS POINTLESS COMPANY. Absolutely appalling customer service. They gave me misleading information. I had to ring over and over again to get my final confirmation 24 hours before checking which they did voluntarily provide but I had to call them.
Consider how many times before purchasing from them.
If there's an issue and you need to cancel, there will be no one to talk to.
If you're entitled to get your money back, you'll need to work hard and wait months for it to happen.
In short, it's better to buy elsewhere and add a few extra bucks.

They canceled my return trip with my consent and the agent i spoke to when booking the flights tricked me and interchanged my name and surname. They said outbound refused name change and they made me pay for name correction on return trip and when i wanted to cancel the outbound booking they cancelled both trips and told me it was my fault after calling me with a non UK number, i asked why are calling with international number, never got straight answer. I have been scammed before and this incident was actually the same with my previous scam.
Do not go near these lot. Absolute scum bags - flights cancelled and never told us, then refused to refund so we issued court proceedings and conveniently when bailiffs instructed they have no UK address. Winding up order is being processed on them now.

lastminute.com might work if everything goes smooth and you purchase all necessary cancellation and delay insurances (given that you're a lawyer and ensure you're covered), otherwise, should there be a cancellation by the airline, you're only offered a refund in travel credit or voucher to be used by lastminute.com valid for 12 months, and you get that refund after more than a month!
They give an option for an airline refund, but then you end up getting £100 less than what you've paid, including "a refund handling fee" of £35.
Lesson learned, don't use lastminute.com and book your flights directly from airline (reason I booked by them is because they offered outbound and return bought together).

Very dodgy refund policy. My flight was cancelled and the airliner refunded Lastminute.com. Nevertheless, Lastminute.com would not provide a full refund and tried to keep to itself more than £105 (out of £600) of what I paid for a service that they did not provide! Alternative refund option is ‘travel credit' but this was split into two vouchers with only one voucher can be used per-booking. Effectively, this forces you to make two future bookings with Lastminute.com! Mischievously, Lastminute.com did not inform me of the dishonest split-voucher-trick before accepting this form of refund. All complaints to customer-care fell on deaf ears. I shall never again use Lastminute.com

Staff sending me automated replies days later (no number to ring of course) telling me to contact the airline. Appalled. Our airline cancelled our flights which already ruined our plans for Christmas. Lastminute.com has behaved terribly. Charging a €105 "handling fee" per leg of the journey to send a cancellation email to the airline. They do this really deceptively - the first email just asks if you want to accept a refund (says "subject to Ts and C-section, but nothing directly about a handling charge), they then receive the money from the airline and give you options to either receive a voucher, or if you opt for a refund (as required by law to be provided as an option), the fine print then says there is this massive handling charge. Calling customer services will not help - they were worst then useless, behaved like robots, said there was nothing that they could do and it's all in the terms and conditions. I am furious, needless to say lastminute.com has lost us as customers for life.

Avoid them for your own good
Everything was Ok until I wanted to add a luggage.
After a series of calls and emails and 3 weeks this seems to impossible.
They said they cant charge me additional fee as I paid by PayPal, and when they try to add my Credit Card details they have "error in the system". Their support is completely useless, and they keep closing the add luggage request.
Booked through last minute there was an error in the name on my flight ticket they will take 7 days to see if it will be possible to change the details by which point flights will have gone up or not be available I didn't make the error!
Made reservation and paid for a flight ticket defined as "flexible".
Was sold a "saver": got in touch with Customer Care, they said they were going to escalate the issue but never replied.
Then had to really change return flight, got in touch with Customer Care and asked date change: they replied tey were going to recall me.
Surprise surprise they never called back to make it happen: called back myself and was given the same story. 3 attempts now.
International flight I tried hard to postpone is still reserved for tomorrow, Lastminute Customer Care now closed and not taking calls.
I'll lose my return ticket: several hundred $$ gone to lastminute for nothing at all...
Just little fraudsters.

My experience with my Iceland trip was not the best - they tried to reason out of giving me the extra checked luggage that I already paid for and offered too many hassle-laden options (like getting a refund only after I have paid for in during check-in), and eventually gave this to me, hopefully upon realising their mistake but not without me having to make a series of stressful calls a day before my trip. My trip in Krakow was generally okay and uneventful. So overall, I think it's hit or miss. I'd say double check your trip details and revise the combination of deals. Spend some time comparing it with the regular prices elsewhere before you lock in the deal. It's not worth going ahead with a supposed deal if you end up not enjoying your holiday.
Website is great: simple to use, quick to book etc. Would usually be a little more expensive than going directly through the flight company for flights only but I was making use of a cashback offer so it actually worked out a little cheaper. One thing to bare in mind, they offer a £20 voucher off your next holiday to review them afterwards... the voucher comes through with a 2 week validity so unless you're a person who bounces from holiday to holiday... its a con and in fact just the same as reviewing any other company.
Flight delays with Vueling, missing one full day experience in Malta and a hotel that has 'motion detection' in its rooms. Thank-you, lastminute.com for not taking some responsibility - this is the first and last time that I use your service ever again.
