Used their forms and free trial a couple years ago. Cancelled after the free trial. A year later, they started charging my credit card $35 / month. Took me about 6 mos to notice it (yep, my bad there). There is no way to get the money refunded. There was no notification when they started charging. The cost of a sub on the website is $8.99/month. I have contacted them and they will not explain the $35 charge. Had to re-cancel my subscription and change my credit card.

I've had recurring, monthly charges show up on my credit card, and when I called Lawdepot.com, they were incapable of identifying the services or what the charges were for, and the customer service was terrible - hostile is more accurate. STAY AWAY! It is fraud.

Admittedly it was my fault for not cancelling my subscription - but all other subscription services that I am signed up to will send monthly receipts for monthly payments. Law Depot does not do this and has been charging me for about 2 years :(

Higher chances for overcharging and no refunds. They charged me $45. When called the customer services. Tabitha and manager Cynthia the customer services blamed me saying I am a fool who is not keeping tracks of my account.
While logging in they say will tell you before charging you which purposefully makes you ignore the messages and details which is send to you in the beginning so that they can charge you saying it was clearly noted on the logging page or the email. SO GUYS BE AWARE. Read all the small letter texts and agreements and conditions even if it is so small.

I logged on once never used the account, and never gave it a second thought. Seven months later I realize they have been hitting my credit card every month, no receipts on invoicing nothing. Every other account I have sends me receipts every time they take a payment. These people rely on the fact that people get busy and tied up with other thing in life and just keep collecting till you notice.

I have never accessed this site since the day started a free trial. They said it was impossible to utilize the hundreds of dollars I have already paid (I suggested they suspend the payments and give me some time to try out their service). They processed refunds of 4 months only and automatically closed my account.

Immediate response, Carolina was a delight to speak to sorted out everything in a matter of minutes (after a three hour phone call to a financial institution that shall remain nameless. If I didn't spend a lot of time in the third world, I would have been quite vexed). In heaven, all the call centers are staffed by Canadians. Thank you.

Document that expired on your site 2 weeks ago was stolen from individual. Was not able to log on and locate document with the original names and addresses. Janet was a God send at finding it. God bless her. Thank you very much.

I needed a durable POA for my parents. The forms and definitions were easy to navigate. We opted to do the monthly open services with the free trial for 7 days. As we needed an attorney to amend their existing will we cancelled the membership. It was so easy to cancel. My account received no charges as some reviewers have mentioned. I did communicate with their customer service. They were prompt, professional and courteous with their response. I would definitely use their services again.

I ordered one document for $7.95 and got charged for a whole package and that was $95.88. Panic came over me! Lol! I called the phone number provided by LawDepot.com. Monique answered a phone she was wonderful, understanding and professional. It was pleasure talking to her. She did refund the whole amount back to my credit card. What a relieve! Thank you LawDepot!

LawDepot boasts FREE downloadable and printable docs but then before you can print or download you have to pay.? How the hell is this FREE. I understand they need to charge for their services as it is a business, but to mislead folks to lure them to their site? This is a very shoddy and unethical business practice. Lying is not an acceptable marketing tactic to any business entity that carries any kind of integrity. It is for this reason, I will not be doing business with them. There are other more reputable legal sites out there. I am able, and more than willing to pay but I don't like being lied to. Honesty DOES count.

The process was very easy and it looks great! The only problem I have with it is once you are in editor you can't download as a PDF... Customer service was fantastic. Thank you Janet for helping me out!

Poor after service experience. New comers be aware on name of free first week trial I loosed my money. Rude agent interaction. Agent wants ready to listen any concerns

It is such a shame to see the negative reviews from people who failed to be responsible enough to cancel the free trial within the 7 day time frame.
I have used this service MANY times and have always been satisfied with the document, happy with customer service and when I had my own attorney check a lease that I compiled, he said it was legit.
If you use this service and think you can rush along, don't do it. Take your time, be careful, read the agreement for the free trial, don't be a jerk and just call them later to cancel after you FORGET.

This is a great service in a world where so many scams are running rampant.
They work hard and are there to help their clients.

I will be back again and again. MUCH better than Legal Zoom for leases and tenant documents.

Law Depot is deceitful, their forms are not recognized in all states. Law Depot does not cancel the account after you cancel their service; the company continues to withdraw money from their monthly service charge, When you contact them the representative claims they have no previous request of cancellation. Most states do not recognize the documents as being legal for this company. WARNING I do not recommend that anyone handling legal business to not use this service.This company continued to charge me for 4 months after cancellation and refused to refund my $140. Once I arrived at the courthouse the clerk told me the document is not legal. It took me two hours of running around to get the court house documents valid by handwriting a document that would be received as valid for the state of Georgia. This company is located in Canada. I would not recommend anyone to use this service.

I tried their "Free" offer and it didn't work so I never actually used their service. Months later they are still deducting from my account. I am trying to get a refund but by all accounts you cannot cease their deductions. This is a total scam and avoid this company. If they do not refund me I will be going to the financial ombudsman and then the media to expose the trap. BUYER BEWARE. Oh and don't believe the responses to the reviews. It is a shame because the concept is good - I personally don't mind paying for their service but if is too difficult to use then I do not expect to be charged. I will submit another review to let you all know the outcome.

Another wind you in company. Fill out our FREE form to get a FREE WILL and then having spent a lot of time completing the online forms you are asked to give card details to avoid complications should you wish to use another of their services in the future. The reason I chose your document was because it was FREE. Not because I wanted to give you card details and then have to cancel my contract with you. See other comments regarding cancelling with this company. One of the worst marketing ploys now used by online companies. Be ashamed. I guarantee I will not be using your documents. Shame there is a not a zero star option, you should consider it!

They are the scammer. Don't fall into their trap. Very upset with there service. They charge you for the rush hour, once they have your money it is not rush anymore. Moreover, they don't provide you the business number. You need to call "service ontario" to get your business number. If I have to do all this then why pay them more than $600. I could just go to service ontario site and do my business registration.

Financially a nightmare, although the Roommate Agreement was fine. They are nice on the phone (Canadians) but can't seem to stop charging me for a subscription I did not intend to opt into. Called them within 20 minutes of accidental click, they sympathized and arranged a refund. Fine. But 4 months later I am being charged again and after calling them I contacted my bank to cancel the debit card (and get another one with a new number so they can't access it). Just BE REALLY CAREFUL and move slowly during the one-time purchase/free week-long trial opt-in and read carefully before clicking. They act like it isn't one, but their aggressive, wordy "free" thingy has scam all over it... and even at the supervisor level they don't seem to be able to fully cancel taking your money.

I decided to try the task of doing my will, power of attorney, and declaration of medical and surgical. I went to this company site and it was outstanding. I had to call in several times for advice and there staff was so helpful and kind all of them. I got one agent by the name of Linda Bennett her customer service was outstanding as well as many others. I would recommend this company with full confidence Thank You so much

I won't get into details, but Janet was wonderful in assisting me with an issue that was brought to my attention via email. Lawdepot was in no way at fault I must ad. Janet jumped right in, fixed things right up and I guarantee in the future I will use this website when I graduate Empire Law. Thanks Janet!
