There were a few hiccups but the company sent laborers out to fix the problem within the week. They were apologetic and thoughtful as they made their product as it should be. I have not been on top of the roof but hope all is exactly what they said. Job OKC 15195

“Shoddy installation/poor customer service”

/something didn't look right so I got up the ladder and found that the end of a panel was curled up, allowing leaves to enter the gutter. I called the LeafFilter office in Baton Rouge, LA. They wanted to send a man and charge me $95. I told them not to send him as I didn't see why I should pay when the problem was due to shoddy installation or defective product.

They "sold" me 64ft of leaffilter for $2400 installed. The salesman was a con artist and got me good. High pressure sales pitch and all. Looking back, he lied from start to finish. I refused to pay a month after installation. The filters are to thick. Their called micro mesh for a reason. Micro parts of water is all that can go through a micro filter. Da. Ive been sold a product that cost me over $40 ft that does not work. Talked crazy to by their office and generally mistreated by these people. I'm sure somebody's gonna sue but I refuse to be stolen from. I'm a disabled senior citizen if it matters. They did offer to come get them but it would cost a $1200 fee for canceling and a service call to get them. Every time I think about it I get madder and madder. They folded the contract so my cool down rights were hidden, and I can prove it. The ink on the contact paper bleed threw to the folded side. It matches up perfectly with the handwriting. I called them and told them I didn't think this was legal and on top of that the contract dates were left open. I told them that. The bank sent me a copy of the contract and they had filled in the dates later. Bogas practice if even legal. I cant get closeups of the contracts they come out blurry, but you can see what I mean on the fold and the hidden rights of buyer

Do not believe the quotation offered by Leafilter. The quotation offered me was ( 6 MOBTHS NO PAYMENTS NO INTEREST.
An agent from Leafilter was in my home 2 days after installation DEMANDING IMMEDIATE PAYMENT IN FULL.

We contacted Leaf Filter and they were able to send a salesman that same week.
Salesman seemed very knowledgable, demonstrated how the system worked.
We applied for financing and were approved. Salesman scheduled install for July 3rd. Day of install, they didn't show up, that evening company called and said they wouldn't be out as their truck broke down but they would be out first thing July 5th. The installer showed up and said they would get started. Awhile later, they knocked on the door and tell us the salesman must have measured wrong as the supplies they had would not work.
They said they would have someone call us. No one called for a few weeks. We called, they told us they were waiting to hear back from the salesman and corporate about getting the right supplies, they would call and let us know when they were able to install. A few weeks after not hearing from them, we called to check on things. They said they were still waiting on a call from corporate and they would call and let us know. Over 4 months later, we still haven't heard back from them.

Not installed as what sales person sold or pictures show. Cheap and flimsy, not secured as they said they would do. Cheap bent metal put under gutters that are not secured by anything and will eventually fall out over time. Eye sore because they put splash guards in areas which will cause build up of stuff ontop of screens. Gutters installed toooo low...was my original problem which causes splashing on edges of gutters when it rains hard. Besides clogging and mold. Installers seem to be contracted out, non-marked vehicle and no advertising signs or anything as was stated to have in my yard during install... wonder why...hmmmm Lifetime Warranty is a lie, it only covers clogs inside gutters, not ontop of anything else for which you have to pay a service fee for. I should have seen red flags when it only took 1.5 hours to remove and install new gutters and system. I hope management gets ahold of me in the morning... I called the customer service number and they set up a appointment 3 days from now to address the install...I just had it dont today 6/27/23... That is just bad business... sell a product...get bad results... and have to wait to get anything fixed. I suggest to anyone to read the complaints at the BBB website before you hire this company...How do they have such a high rating with sooooo many complaints constantly

At wits end with the Portland, ME branch of Company. LeafFilter was Three+ times the price of other Gutter and Guard installation quotes for my home. Weighing the options, I chose to go with them because of the brand and the lifetime warranty of the product.
After a short while, I noticed that debris was not shedding off my gutters. It was shedding off the roof, and resting comfortably on top of the gutter guards.
I called for service. Service was exceptionally fast and the tech was amazing. A truly 5-star visit. Not only did the tech clean the gutters around the entire house, he also noted problems with the gutter and guard installation:
1. Gutters installed with inappropriate pitch in multiple places causing standing water.
2. Insufficient quantity of hangers/supports installed causing LeafFilter guards to warp.
3. LeafFilter guards installed flat, without appropriate angle to shed debris.
Talking further to the Tech that day also revealed that the sub-contractor that did my installation was NOT the regular sub used for these jobs.
The tech told me that he and another tech would be scheduled to return and correct the problems.
I waited and waited, and heard nothing.
I contacted LeafFilter and was informed that as far as they were concerned the ticket was closed; there was no additional actions stated on the ticket (Right?!?!?!). They did not provide me a copy of the ticket. They did say they would check into it and pass it on "to the right department".
I waited and waited, and heard nothing.
I opened a new ticket, and an onsite appointment date and time window was scheduled for earlier this week. No call, no show.
Strike two, one more chance, then its looking like a lawsuit. This was too much money to accept as a job professionally and properly done.

I'm from Wisconsin. Had a guy come out to estimate my property. He took a photo of my gutters and showed that yes it was clogged. He then later explained that b4 the guards were installed they would clean and reconstruct the gutters even b4 putting on the guards. He walked around the house getting a measure of the gutters. I have a one story ranch house gutters were only on the front and back side of the house! He comes back and explains everything bout the company, number 1 rated in the world blah blah blah! Then tells me that he measured 114 sq ft. Now this part is funny! He showed me the price for 114 sq ft lol which was $8700! Holy moly! Lol! After he saw the look on my face he asked if I was given any coupons? Lol. I said no, then he said now is their busiest time and they have a discount for 40% off! Wow lol! That knocked it off to $5220. My facial expression still didn't change lol! Told him it was too pricey, now he offers another discount saying that this one his to be agree upon at the very moment and once he leaves the offer is gone! Lol. He offers $3500 but they come out whenever they have time to do the gutters! So I can't schedule anything whenever they are free or have bookings that might are cancel is most likely when they can come! But no guarantees! I said no still way too pricey, now catch this he offers me another deal! Lol. He now says the office closes at 8pm shoot him a number and he can show his boss to see if it will work! WOW! Lol. In my head there's no way I'm going forward with this! Started from $8700 to now shooting him a number I'm comfortable with! So just be careful guys! Hopefully ur salesman isn't like this one! Lol

Have never been treated so rude in my life. Had salesman come out almost 3 weeks ago. Was told by him he could have a crew out in 2-3 days. Was told someone would call to let me know when they are coming out. No one ever called me. After a week and a half I called them. Was told they had me down for May 24th. No one ever showed. Called them again and was told they are short on crews and more crews were coming in on May 25th and they would be out at around 9am on May 25th. Again no one showed. Called and talked to Ralph and was told they got hung up at another job and could be out May 26th. Told him I just would like to cancel as I don't appreciate being strung along. He had a lady Penny or Peggy call me who was very rude. Right away she told me that no one ever said they would be out on May 24th and that the salesperson never told me it would be 2-3 days for a crew to come out. Even threatened to raise the price on me, because said I had flexible insulation which I was never told about. Caught her lying about why they weren't there today as she told me the crew had engine troubles with their truck, then back tracked when I called her on it. I really dont appreciate a company telling me I am lying about what I was and wasn't told. Wish I never signed up to get these gutters. Terrible company. Numerous neighbors have been asking me about the gutters and I will make sure to let them know about their terrible service. Side note Ralph was understanding and very polite. I have now taken off 2 days of work for nothing and still have no gutters up!

2 months ago I had Leaf Filter come out to give me a quote. According to the less than professional salesman, he didn't drive an hour to "just give a quote". The filter part was going to be $12,000 ALONE. His gutter price started at $7700. We have an average size 2500sf home with an attached garage. We also have a detached 3 car garage.
When I said thank you for coming out, he got upset. Said the above quote and then said, "well, you're a contractor. I can give you a contractors discount". The price went down to $5800. I again said thanks and stood up. He started throwing his sales materials in his bag and stomped down our side walk, I didn't let him in our home. Then while I was talking to my painter, he came over and said "he could take all of his comission out, and at least the company would get the business". This price was $4400.
I told him thanks and to not hit our gate on his way out.
You think that would be the end. About two weeks later I get a text from the "sales manager". He says they have "left over materials from a big job in my area and the could discount my job". If you know anything about gutters, there are NO left over materials. The aluminum material comes on a very big roll. You just take it to the next job. His price now is $3632.14. Really... From $7700 to $3632.14 for, per his text, "the exact same material and warranty as quoted by the salesman". Can you believe their sales practices? How unethical is this? I am contractor, I own a custom closet business and I couldn't sleep doing what they are to customers, and I told him. I do feel sorry for all the people who fall for this. Oh, and by the way I had a small local company do all the gutters, with the same gauge materials, for $2500. Good luck.

Tip for consumers:
Be careful, and no! you don't have to take the first bid. Get many!

Installers came in morning not afternoon. Confirmed with estimator. Avery (installer) texted me that morning " will be there in a hr I had to go tool shopping for my new guy I am training." Avery also left to buy parts he forgot. Avery was cleaning gutter out above me droping debris next to me getting it in my face and eyes. He did apologize, therefore he knew I was there when he threw it. I was watering my flowers when they came but they started on that part of the house anyway without communicatiion about what they were doing. I contacted Nathan my estimator with my complaints and he arranged for Anthony, installer foreman to inspect the work I was concerned about. There was no schedluled time for him to come but I gave date and time options for him to come. Anthony called and left a VM after he was already here. I was told he would get on roof and inspect. Anthony told me he never gets on the roof he can tell from ther ground. My concerns of alignment and gaps were OK because a 1/4 of an inch was acceptable and the mesh didn't have to line up, he could see that from the ground. I was supposed to get 4 flexible downspouts and only got 2. He brought two more and commented on how bad they would look. He continued about how great Avery his intstaller was. Avery and Anthony were dismissive and both belittled me, Avery claiming one thing was a shadow from the electric wire. I had withheld payment prior to an inspection. I had signed the contract and estimate so Ipaid. Job number CL*******

Tip for consumers:
I was unable to upload my document that had my job number on it I could not get it to happen I'm sorry Nathan my estimator was great. However it was listed online about if you were 65 and older/ military you got 15% off but they were trying to divide it up that if you were 65 and older then you only got half of the discount because I was just 65 and older. to me that was false advertising I hope that makes sense. but Nathan made it right.

We had entered a contract in Jan for gutters to be installed in April. The salesman was polite but very pushy and said well loose the price if we don't sign now. I told him we had to pay for a new roof and just wanted estimate. After bargaining with my husband we sign the contract. The salesmen even made the comment were in the Uber rich column and I said no we save and pay for it. I felt that was very rude. Moving forward to April we had a death in the family and those funds needed allocated elsewhere. So we called and said wanted to cancel contract. 3 weeks later we still have no documentation on what we need to do to cancel or where to send the rest of the 25% restocking fee. We had paid half with our deposit. My husband finally heard from. Someone early last week who said they'd do it 3k cheaper if we signed by the end of month. He said no needing to cancel and we haven't heard back. This should not be such a hard task and I'd like this closed so I can focus on my family members who are needing us right now. Thank you

Update: we received the automated response I've seen many get we have tried emailing and texting and calling the support number with no resolution. We are trying to do the right thing by paying the 25% we owe. And they make it darn near impossible to do. I responded to the private msg to leaf filter guess well see what happens. It's like they want u to get frustrated enough where u say fine just install. But after all this I'm glad we had to cancel because this is completely unacceptable customer service.

Update: as of June 17 still no word from leaf filter. If u send them a msg from this site they don't respond. After reading many reviews it seems like no one can get leaffilter employees to return calls or emails. Don't waist your time with this company. We were trying to give them money owed and they ignored us. We're not waisting time on them any more we've considered our case close we lost $1700 on a deductible. However, The quote we were given was $10,650. Our house is one story 1650 Sq ft. With a 450sq ft unattached garage. So we definitely could've been out more.

I had Leaf Filter installed in August 2022 on top of my currently existing gutters. Starting in January 2023 when it snowed, I noticed that the snow would accumulate over the filter on top of the gutter and water would drip over the gutter's edge all around the building as the snow melted. The water didn't go into the gutter but over it. The water dripped over the gutter all around the house and onto my steps causing the water to freeze and form ice on the steps which created a hazardous condition. This happens every time it snows. Leaf Filter should keep leaves out not snow!
Since I have only had the Leaf Filter for eight months I have not experienced all the seasons yet, I do know that Leaf Filter does not work in areas that get snow.
I have filed a complaint with Leaf Filter and asked that the Leaf Filter be removed and my money refunded.
Leaf Filter sent out various technicians to inspect the Leaf Filter gutter installation. They came up with the same reason for the issue which I was having.
1. The reason the gutter was leaking over the gutter edge was that the pitch of the roof was making this happen.
2. The overflow problem that you are experiencing is due to the way the ice and snow defrosts and refreezes on your roof.
The reasons above confirm that the Leaf Filters do not work on my type of roof and they should have removed them and given me a refund. The installation of the Leaf Filter gutter protection made my gutters useless since the water flows over the Leaf Filter and over the gutters. Gutters are there to provide protection for my home, they protect my roof, they protect my foundation, they keep my basement dry, they protect my landscaping and most importantly they prevent me from slipping on ice.
Last week the regional manager contacted me and said they will not refund my money or remove the leaf filter guards because the installation is correct and that I already had the leaf filter guards since August 2022.
Do not buy Leaf Filter, they are not good when it snows, the salesmen are pushy and the price is ridiculously high. You could get a better deal elsewhere, shop around and read the reviews.

Recently purchased LeafFilters from LeafFilter North, LLC (specifically the Roanoke VA location. Paid over $5k for a two story 1800 SF house. According to the sales brochure that the salesman proudly hands you the price you pay includes cleaning out your gutters, sealing your gutters and downspouts with 50 year silicone, repairing any damaged gutters and or downspouts (if necessary), realigning gutters, installing hidden brackets, then installing the leafFilter system. My experience was as follows 1> two men came out and spent 3 hours installing leafFilter system then asked for payment. Problem was they could not speak English and when I asked about repairing damaged down spouts they could not understand English. They did ask for payment which I refused. 2> received a call from their office in a few days and they send out the service manager who took pictures of all the damaged down spouts and incorrectly installed gutters and promised he would submit and follow up, then demanded payment. After receiving his word to followup and address the damaged gutters did I pay (My mistake). 3> Did not hear anything back for a week so I call their office and spoke with the scheduling office and they had no record from the service manager but scheduled a crew to come out. 4> crew came out and inspected down spouts and called the owner. 5> owner called and said they would not correct the downspout issue but would put caulking in the holes and basically put a bandage on the problem. Lesson learned, don't believe the sales flyer and read about the class action law suite that LeafFilter North LLC has recently been required to settle. I think we need to start a new one on their mis-leading sales brochure. Would not recommend LeafFilter North (especially the Roanoke office) to anyone.

I'll start my product review with Leaf-Filter's sales person, Alex Elliot, as he was pleasant, but with a used-car salesman approach, which I somewhat expected when it involves expensive home improvement products. I was forced to contact Alex the next day to discuss why he only gave me a 5 percent senior discount, not your nationally advertised 10 percent senior discount, and it took me saying cancel my order before he agreed to provide me with the 10 percent senior discount. The next issue arrived when I received a phone call at 8:30am the day before the scheduled installation date, and was asked if they could install the Leaf-Filter product a day early, and told him, yes, but please call me 15 minutes before you show up so I could take care of a few things in preparation of the installation, but no call, they just showed up. I asked the installer that knocked on my door to give a few minutes so I could, as mentioned, bring my dogs into the house and few other things. The person didn't speak very good English, so communications was poor at best, then they left my home with no indication when they would return. I finally called the person that contacted me that morning to ask him, where did your installers go, but he had no idea. Over an hour passed before the installers returned, and the installer mentioned they took their lunch break, but didn't bother telling me where they had gone, or when they would return…. Extremely rude. The installers finished the installation in record time, and it showed, after they left, I had to pick up over a dozen sheet metal screws, and other debris off of my driveway and back patio. Hopefully the Leaf-Filter system/product was installed properly since it was installed within an hour and a half for a 2100 square foot two story home. I have no idea what the lead installer's name was, but as mentioned English was not his first language which created a communication challenge. I would bring to anyone's attention that asks me about my experience with Leaf-Filter all of the mentioned comments I have provided. Job# DEN*******

*Additional Information regarding the poor functionality with snow.
This winter, 2022-23 when the snow builds up on top of my Leaf Filter System Cap, it prevents the snow from melting normally into the gutter, but the melting snow flows over the Leaf Filter Cap onto my driveway causing a safety hazard when it turns into a sheet of ice overnight when the temperature drops into the teens. This is an extreme safety hazard, and never happened before the installation of the Leaf Filter System. Buyers beware of this extreme safety hazard in the winter.

Tip for consumers:
I’ll start my product review with Leaf-Filter’s sales person, Alex Elliot, as he was pleasant, but with a used-car salesman approach, which I somewhat expected when it involves expensive home improvement products.The installers finished the installation in record time, and it showed, after they left, I had to pick up over a dozen sheet metal screws, and other debris off of my driveway and back patio.

Beware of Leaf Filter - Looking for gutters? Whatever you do, DO NOT user Leaf Filter. I have lived here for 24 years and have had gutters the entire time. My gutters were not drilled into the drip edge ever. I have a picture but cannot post here with my roof completely ripped off with my old non-leaf filter gutters. I decided to replace ALL my gutters with new LF gutters since my house had been completely remolded. The LF people came out, did my installation. They missed an entire window area. They updated the price which was already $600.00 above the competitors to another $340.00. When they finished the installation, they asked me for an amount. I gladly paid. The next day, the sales guy called me and said that I owed the additional $340.00. I told him to come by and I would pay him. He told me and I QUOTE "If I do not get that money by tomorrow, I am going to have to send you to the credit bureau". WTFO! I spend $340 on sushi. Not even close to being a problem. They never performed a water test to see if the gutters would actually work.

Weeks later, we notice black stripes on the gutter and realize that the water was overshooting the gutters. The sales guy comes out and we show him our neighbor's house which did their roof and gutters at the same time. Their's were working as designed. NOT LF. When we call the sales guy and he comes out, BTW we have Simon audio/video because I have Ring cameras covering every square inch of my house outside and most of it inside. He told my wife that "the way your neighbor did it is wrong". "We ALWAYS do the installation under the drip edge." Well now that they installed wedges because they tried to "fix" it after the fact, the "installation manager" told me "The only way to fix this is drilling into the drip edge". Yes the same installation my neighbor did "wrong". Also the stripes on my gutters which BTW are permanent, is wear and tear... after three months of being installed.

They are rude, they are unprofessional, and they are deceitful. You are better off not doing gutters and dealing with effects of not having them than giving these people a single, solitary penny.

There support is a waste of time. Every one of them promise to "send and email to the area manager" no one ever calls you back. I recommend to wear comfortable shoes because you will get the run-around. Don't bother. You are better off getting your money and donate it to a charity. They are not worth the time, money or aggravation.

Tip for consumers:
I have called them for the last 2 months and spoken to dozens of people and they all say someone is going to call me back. Never gotten a call back,

If u answer one of the ads for pricing- the Automatic Google system calls *multiple times per day RELENTLESS - Obnoxious and they won't stop...all I was interested in was how much it COST. I have blocked them from my phone & I get repeated texts,calls Over & over & over.Obnoxious. If I ever wanted filters on my house "the LAST company I would use is Leaf Filters! Beware- the calls -automatic or Not,are still Continuing! This is being reinforced by Google Leads. Google is responsible as well!@leafhome.com (the Leaf Co.s "reccomended" " address Response address" is NON functional! Many others have same issues -- look up the Ever increasing Negative reviews. The Leaf Co.s' responses are Inadequate & seem to only Blow Customers or "potential " customers off! If they cared - they wouldn't make it unbelievably difficult to stop being harassed! THEY solicited me!...the ad "appears like" End user (potential customer/victim) will get an Easy free cost estimate after u give some info like house size, location etc...but once u fill out info *requests from Leaf Filter*- then their harassment Begins! They know how to stop it---but make YOU jump thru hoops & loops to End the barrage of auto- computer generated Unwanted emails & phone calls! If & when the Unwanted calls/emails STOP --- (for at least 2 weeks) then--& only then...Will I reply to Anything from Leaf Filter acknowledging the End of THEIR harassment. Stay tuned & it is my belief that the harassment is by design & Relentless intentionally! IF they wanted to make it easy to cease contact--- they could have an UN-Scribe Or Cease harassment Bolded verbiage (just like Non- evil companies do) & make it EASY for us end users to facilitate the End of UN wanted emails & UN wanted calls--*Stay tuned for updates*** I am counting down to see "if_ * I get 14 consecutive days of Peace & quiet * again B4 I reply to Anything from this company going forward. In the interim, I can only hope--+because repeated requests from Me--- were Ignored!:+/
