My Wife and I had to get our Bathtub/shower converted to a walk in shower for Safety reasons. My Wife fell and broke her hip and had to have a total Hip replacement. We needed it done very quickly. Alex came by and discussed pricing and a timeline. I was told I would never have to regrout the new shower and we would get 2 shelves installed. I guess my expectations were a little high for a $12,000+ shower. The installation was almost flawless, a busted pipe the contractors installed that soaked the drywall, a 3 hour delay to go to the warehouse and pick up the right pan and a day and a half for a one day installation. After the project was done, the shower looked very nice. We were a little disappointed in the shower head and the grab bars, I thought they would be more elegant and not average for $12,000+. We were promised 2 shelves, but only received one. Which I was actually glad about, because the one they installed was not done very well. The screws holding it are not driven in all the way. They stick out a quarter of an inch and the shelve is not flush with the wall. I am sure water is going to get in behind the wall and cause problems down the road. I could not get Leaf day and a half Baths to return my inquiry about the shower problems. I could try fixing it myself, but I am worried it would void my warranty. The grout work was mediocre at best, which makes me wonder about the promise I would never have to regrout it. My biggest mistake was only giving the work a cursory look before I signed the papers. Once I signed the papers I have not heard from the company again. Don't make this mistake, look at the work very closely. The finance company I went through was more concerned about the job than Leaf Bath was. They called multiple times to insure the job was done correctly. After finally getting hold of LHB they did send a contractor to address the problems. He was able to get the screws on the shelf flush with the shower, but was unable to fix one of the screws that was put in at an angle (that will be an issue down the road). I took another week to get the grout fixed so it looked professional. I received a voicemail from LHB stating they would like to talk about the 2nd shelf that was not installed. I thought I would get some kind of rebate, but when I called the number back the shelf was never mentioned. The LHB representative accused me of withholding the funds by not signing off on the Finance Company. I had already signed off 2 times at this point, and had to sign off a 3rd. He was very rude.
