They did the same to me as well. I signed up for the trial phase on LegalAnswer.com thinking it would cost only five dollars, just as their advertisement and initial sign-up screen led me to believe. However, almost immediately after providing my payment information, I noticed a charge of thirty-five dollars on my account—far more than the promised five-dollar trial. It felt misleading and dishonest, especially since I received no warning or confirmation of a higher charge. When I tried to get in touch with their customer service team, the responses were slow and unhelpful. I expected a transparent trial process, but instead I ended up feeling scammed. If you decide to try their services, be aware that you might be charged far more than anticipated, and getting resolution or a refund may be difficult. My experience left me disappointed and distrustful, and I would advise others to proceed with caution before signing up.

I contacted LegalAnswers website. For some legal advice. They specifically said in the chat that there was a $5 TRIAL MEMBERSHIP fee that could be cancelled at any time. IF I wanted to keep the service I'd be charged $35. I spoke via chat to one of the lawyers. IMMEDIATELY after the chat session I sent an email specifically stating the answers were too vague & event he "lawyer" I chatted with suggested I speck with a local lawyer. I received an email stating I would NOT be charged anything else and my service was cancelled. Didn't think anything of it until 2 weeks later, when I checked my bank statement and saw $35 AND $5 was charged. I contacted the website and spoke with a rep via chat and was assured he'd fix the issue. His chat comment said he'd be transferring me to a lawyer to resolve the situation and it would only be a $5 TRIAL MEMBERSHIP. (which states is totally refundable I said STOP STOP STOP I do not need to talk to a lawyer Just give me customer service. He disconnected me. I went to the website again and he did the same thing... NOTHING resolved and completely disregarding all I said & wanted to charge me again... DO NIOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY VIA THEIR WEBSITE THEY ARE DISHONEST AND DISRESPECTFUL...

Tip for consumers:
aFTER CONTACTING THE WEBSITE AGAIN, THE "CHAT " PERSON refused TO SEND TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SPECIFICALLY STATED HE WOULD TRANSFER ME TO A LAWYER AND i'D ONLY BE CHARGED $5 TOTALLY REFUNDABLE AGAIN ... i refused AND HE DISCONNECTED ME

Products used:
I spoke via a chat with a "lawyer" and before I spoke, I was assured that I was only to pay $5 for a refundable trial membership and could cancel the service at any time... I cancelled the service IMMEDIATELY after the chat. SHOULD have been charged $5 and then been refunded, They charged me $5 and $35 in spite of sending an email stating everything was cancelled and no charges would be made to my bank
