After four years of not communicating with LegalZoom they were extremely cooperative on getting my account recovered and up to date. When it came to federal law they were prompt to keep me updated on mandates and regulations. Very professional and well mannered business.
The most horrible customer support and the longest wait times I have ever experienced. I purchased an LLC package with all the bells and whistles to include expedited processing. After two months of waiting, broken promises from customer support ("It will be finished today, we are so sorry for the wait..."), many unanswered questions, no contact, hours on the phone and in chat rooms, and a refusal to refund services not rendered, I cannot recommend LegalZoom.
With pleasure I recommend Legal Zoom to anyone looking to establish a new business. My experience doing so was expedient and professionally managed by Legal Zoom.
To those who ever use this or have used these services please know, years later you will find out they scammed you into telling you that you owe all this amount of money for services you never authorized that they say you signed up for. They have it set up so that when you do get told that you owe all this money (when you don't actually) and you're in a panic that they will remove the threat to collections by having you pay $99 dollars! WHAT!? They will fear monger you into believing you have to pay this amount, that you agreed to this in the terms, and even if you call and cancelled prior to this like I did because I saw the fine print and what ppl had said, well too bad because they will say this never happened or that it's not on record or someone didn't do something right or will find a way to continue to tell you it was your fault. No. Horrible. Don't allow them to intimidate you. They make it so you feel you have no sense of control in the outcome and try to say did you see the "fine print" to further harm you and repeat like a broken record.
It's cruel what you're doing to people who seek your services for help. You falsify this message and then take advantage of people. If someone who creates this model of business doesn't feel shame for the harm you can cause, I can't understand how you can wake up in the morning and function or how much work you must put into your mind to numb out everything that makes someone human. This isn't something you do to people no matter what power or control you may have. I hope somehow you learn that your greed and harm is not going to get you to a better place.
Tip for consumers:
First off- don't. But if you did buy into it, make sure you do something about it now and advocate for yourself in doing what's right. Even if they send you to collections you can dispute this because they are in the wrong and it's very clear they have crafted this to work in their favor by intimidating you. Just do the work to protect yourself and don't give in to them taking advantage of you. Even after you call and "cancel" know this may not be the end of it...

I hired LZ to do my taxes for my new business. I paid for the annual subscription. During the process of completing my '22 taxes, my tax expert left the company. It took several weeks before I was notified and my account was reassigned. During the process, after not hearing back from them, even after sending emails, my current subscription expired. Finally was reassigned to a new expert and got the ball rolling again only to be told he wouldn't be able to submit my taxes now because I no longer had an active subscription. After escalating up to a regional manager, it was decided that I ultimately would need to renew my subscription for another year just to have last years taxes submitted. To say I'm pissed is an understatement. I paid for a service that wasn't completed only to have to repay for a service for a "new" year just to get the previous year taxes filed. I'm struggling to understand why it's my fault when the tax expert left and I was essentially left with no responses on my emails. When I did get a response it was usually weeks later. I wouldn't recommend their tax service due to their business policies.

I'm no longer consulting, so needed to cancel my Registered Agent Services. My LegalZoom files state your call center is open weekends, so I called and they didn't pick up. So I called this morning. I opted for the call-back service. I was putting something in the refrigerator when the call came and by the time I picked up, LegalZoom had already hung up! So I dialed back in and opted for the call-back service again. It took well over the 3 minutes cited to get called back. "Michael" asked me for my phone number (though I had already entered it for the call-back) and email. He asked why I was cancelling and I told him and he didn't respond at all. I thought the call dropped, so I said "hello?" He responded in a testy manner, "I heard you." He proceeded to cancel my services, as requested, then suggested I confirm the cancellation on my account online. I asked if I would get a confirmation email with a confirmation number and he said, "well you might, but I recommend people check their account online." What? You "might"? I waited for him to thank me for my business or my call or something, but he said nothing. So I said, "Well, okay." to see if he might thank me if I prompted him. He did not. He said, "Well, okay, Ms. Jeffries. You have a good day." Michael needs some training. Unless how I feel right now about working with LegalZoom is the customer experience your leadership is going for.

Starting a business should be the easy part, right? Been waiting on a DBA form signed by my registered agent " United States Corporation Agents, Inc. " aka Legalzoom for about a month. You can receive emails stating we have reviewed your order and should be ready within 2-3 business days. Which is understandable, BUT! They've given me excuses like its has incorrect information( understandable). Resent the email with the correct information then 2-3days later I get a response stating they couldn't open the attachment. Resent the email again and I don't get a response this time. I contacted customer service to "discuss" the issue with the rep and all she stated was the registered agent didn't think the form was legit which was the reason why they didn't sign. After I sent them the link to where I downloaded the form they finally responded with a " thank you. Your inquiry has been received by our customer care team... I have yet to receive the document I need by EMAIL! Can't start my business without the form being signed from the registered agent. It seems to me I'm getting the "RUN AROUND", due to the county clerks office here in town charges me $27 to file this DBA and legal zoom wants around $100. Seriously, I don't recommend legal zoom to anyone.
