Using LegalZoom I created for my dear friend, several documents she needed, including her Will, Living Trust, and Powers of Attorney for Health Care and Asset Management. In addition, using GODeeds via LegalZoom I was able to remove her deceased husband from the title to their property and place the title in my friend's name only.
I was very satisfied with LegalZoom as these documents were created. I was dissatisfied with GODeeds. The person assigned to me to remove my friend's deceased husband's name from the property title and place the title in my friend's name only in her living trust was incompetent in my experience and caused me a lot of frustration.

Today began with the horrible experience with a person at LegalZoom who was not very helpful. I will leave the name of that person out of this because perhaps that person can be retrained and learn how to deal professionally with a customer, like myself. The bottom line is that after wasting almost 90 minutes with one and then a second person at LegalZoom who was unprofessional and incompetent, I asked the supervisor to assign me to someone who could deal with this, properly. Suffice it to say, Matt Moore did his job professionally and efficiently with total courtesy in class, completing the job and significantly less time than I expected. Most importantly, until I was connected to Mr. Matt Moore, I was prepared to hang up my call with Legal Zoom can contact a local attorney in Dallas, TX. Matt saved Legal Zoom. So Legal Zoom is fortunate to have him. My suggestion is for those Love you who are deciding to use Legal Zoom, that if you encounter someone who was less than professional as it is quite often the case in my experience with your "millennials" I would recommend just asking speak with Mr. Matt Moore.

The process on webpages is easy to follow. For each item, there is a help with examples. It was very helpful. When I had a problem, LegalZoom immediately sent me email to fix the problem.

Filed a deed change got a document on email with my original copy of quit claim deed with a stamp on it apparently go deeds *(who work for you) thinks this is a copy of the new deed

I was referred by an associate that used them when she started her business and so with reasonable expectations I contacted them. The person that took my information (to start a nonprofit) was friendly, professional, and, I later learned, not completely truthful. The first misinformation he told me was that my last payment would be due in December so I was unprepared in November to be told it was due. November. Two conversations later I still had to pay a decreased amount but to do so I had to change the plan I'd originally signed on for to one that offered free services.
The second surprise arrived with the paperwork to file for my nonprofit status: the fee to file had changed from: "it won't cost you anything" to $800. What?! The catalyst to write this review happened about 90 mins ago. I received a call from Legalzoom 2 days ago to make an appointment for a free consult with an attorney regarding filing taxes for my company. THEY called me. An hour before my appointment, 9a.m. Legalzoom sent me a reminder email which they should have sent to the attorney scheduled to talk to me because I haven't received a call from him/her. I don't recommend using them. They received $1100 from me and I've been lied to. Do not use them to file a nonprofit and if you do question everything and have them send you an email detailing everything you talked about.

Heather was great helping me through the process. I lost my browser when I was almost done and when I brought it back, all my information was still there - nice.

Michelle was great in the chat room, she answer all of the questions I had. Her knowledge of the issue was very strong. All companies should have people like her.

The Operating Agreement that Legal Zoom created was a total of 15 pages and the last two pages were Exhibit's A and B with literally no documentation. It was created in July and I needed to make some adjustments. Of course, I needed to go through one of their contracted companies and in this case it was Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig. Documentation shows that they up charge customers a $39 fee to review documents over 10 pages. Under 10 pages are free. The next break it 11-15 is $39 and more than that is $99. My Legal Zoom document has 15 pages. I was okay with the extra $39, but then Dunlap and Bennett said that their fonts change the document to 17 pages and that they will need to charge me the $99 fee. I told them that I would just rather cancel the service altogether and work with a real attorney. I also cancelled my request to trademark a logo at the price of $815 as well. I need to get this done, but I still think that a local attorney would have that done for me at the same price point if not lower. Thoughts?
