After four years of not communicating with LegalZoom they were extremely cooperative on getting my account recovered and up to date. When it came to federal law they were prompt to keep me updated on mandates and regulations. Very professional and well mannered business.
The most horrible customer support and the longest wait times I have ever experienced. I purchased an LLC package with all the bells and whistles to include expedited processing. After two months of waiting, broken promises from customer support ("It will be finished today, we are so sorry for the wait..."), many unanswered questions, no contact, hours on the phone and in chat rooms, and a refusal to refund services not rendered, I cannot recommend LegalZoom.
Didn't want to call in so started a chat and Aimee was able to take care of my issue right away. Fast and accurate. Saved me a lot of time. Thank you.
Initial paperwork was submitted on 26 June. On 21 July, paperwork is finally submitted to the State. You can get this done elsewhere much faster and just as cheap. Cheap it's not!

I paid almost $800 on 12/9/15. I paid this to receive a 7-10 day expedited pLLC. (Professional LLC.) Today, 12/17/15, I am still at step one. First of all, they do not contact you except by robo call, when there is no message left. I found this out after not hearing anything for days, and then logging in to the web site where I discovered that my account was "On Hold." I reached someone (at least this was not too difficult) and was told that the problem was that for a pLLC (professional LLC) I needed to send in a license. Since I was trying to expedite, and it was already 5 days, I dropped the "p," avoiding a step, and went with a plain LLC. Then - days later - I found out that there was a business name conflict, and I also found out that the 800 calls I had been receiving with no message left, were a robo call saying to get in touch. (I suggested that they notify people that they will be reached, not by email or text, but by robo call with no message and they should answer the call and then call legalzoom. The customer rep said she would tell management...) I selected 5 more names 3 days ago and emailed them to the "Alternate Name" address, as per instruction. So far I have heard nothing (not even a robo call) and I see, when I log on, that my account is "On Hold" with "Information Required." Today I will call - again - to find out what is going on. Now, it is 8 days in, with 2 more to go, since this was supposed to be done. I strongly advise going elsewhere to open a corporation. I am doing a lot of work, have not seen expected progress, and paid a hefty sum that appears to have been wasted.

My partner and I started a company through LegalZoom. My bad review stems from this: We had a simple problem of failing to send an IRS form back to them in a timely manner. I admit we were late due to our business and work activities and simply overlooked sending it. We received no reminder from LegalZoom to send it. I called them to asked them if I could send it to them and they said no. Then I asked for an IRS address to file the IRS form ourselves since they now refused to file it with the IRS. Yes we were late, but we wanted to rectify the situation. They said they not only did not have the address, they also gave me a wrong fax number for the IRS. Once we paid, their support completely stopped. Instead they washed their hands of us. And guess why! It's because they were already paid. Their customer service is the typical "tap dancing" and beating around the bush and saying nothing. In summary, in my opinion, LegalZoom is an expensive way to get a fancy binder with standard business papers in it. They offer NO support after you pay them and even give wrong information! I don't trust them because I have been given wrong information leading me to suspect them being wrong with other things. I feel taken for a service that sounds good, but is NOT! Please Beware!

They charged 359 for two forms i could have faxed in and got a response for in one day. Also a veteran and the state of texas doesn't charge a filing fee to veterans. But they took my $301

I thought it would be a good idea to have a living will. Legalzoom is an easy step by step, walk you through the set up. Mine was less than $50 to make. A lot cheaper than having a lawyer do it.

When first going through the page on my own I was not able to understand everything as well due to the circumstances but once I was able to talk to the LegalZoom agent, Andrew, he was able to help me greatly, leaving me comfortable with all the decisions I took and understanding everything well.

My husband and I have started a small business last year and paid them to do all the start-up items and paid for them to complete our business taxes. They sent an email 5 days before the subscription ended for us to complete the questionnaire. I called a tax expert to confirm the subscription included 12 months of tax advice and that tax years tax filing. I was told yes. We attempted to complete the questionnaire yesterday, but it wanted us to pay another $1000. I called them this morning to get it fixed and they said since we didn't complete it within subscription time, we will have to pay again. They didn't follow their own terms - You will provide all requested information and documents. Depending on the subscription you have purchased and the type of filing you've requested our assistance with, LZ Tax must receive all requested information and documents at least 14 and up to 30 days in advance of when you wish to complete the filing.
They didn't send us the questionnaire until 5 days before the subscription ended.
Don't waste your money here. There's better out there.
I would recommend using Sydney Taylor he step by step and help me through the process of getting my business and LLC I am not good with computers at all or phones for that matter LOL Sydney was patient with me as I had many questions to ask he answered all my questions to where I could understand what he was meaning I would recommend Sydney Taylor to anyone needing legal help and using legal zone he is a very good agent for legalzoom I'm not sure if he would want me to put his extension on this report but I'm sure you can ask for Sydney Taylor he is very helpful and very good at explaining things

I really, really wanted to like legal zoom, I am not an attorney but I have experience working with legal documents. I am able to edit most legal forms without an attorneys help to achieve the results I am looking for.
I subscribed to legal zoom in hopes that the forms would provide an excellent basis for me to edit to a final document. I started with a promissory note and found the document to be sub par at best. Numerous basic provisions were missing from each of the forms I downloaded. For example: Late Fee provisions and Notice to cure provisions.
Additionally the forms were very one sided in favor of the lender. As written one late payment (even one day) could trigger full acceleration of the note without any cure period or requirement to notify the borrower. The promissory notes were so bad that I am now unable to trust that other forms they have would be good quality.
The subscription gave me the impression that access to the document library was included. Each of the other forms I was really interested in ended up not being included, DBA forms, Will documents etc.

Initially I would have given LegalZoom a top notch rating. The process starting from the online application to completion was pretty user friendly. I was, however, on a tight time frame to obtain our LLC due to the closing on a property. I chose our name and was required to supply a "back up" name in case the first was not available. In a phone conversation a few days before our closing I was lead to believe we were all set for the chosen name. We went to closing and finalized the transaction. A couple weeks later the express package from Legal Zoom arrived and we were shocked to find that our chosen name was NOT transacted and the secondary one was used. We subsequently had to have another closing with the bank, another closing with the title company, new contracts, deeds... a complete nightmare for all involved. I might also add that we are multiple business owners and not new to the business world!
A business service in Harrisburg, PA helped us out of the mess by obtaining a name for us very close to our first choice. They offered us feedback that they see all kinds of issues with companies like LegalZoom and often have to fix their messes. We won't be doing this again.

I was deceived from the first conversation I had with the telephone representative.
All they care about is getting you to buy every add on package and getting your cash in hand.
The operator downright lied to me, I had multiple issues with my order.
The expedited service they offer was not what was promised, They basically fill out the application online, same as anyone else can do for free. I was told that they would hand carry the documents for 48hr service.
I was also promised that I would not have to list my personal address if I paid extra any applied with Legal Zoom as a registered agent. To my surprise they listed all my personal information in the incorporation papers. Only then did they realize that the state I incorporated in needs a physical address for the company. If I would have been told that I would not have used the registered agent service and I would have filed the paperwork under a paid mail service. But now its too late.
When I referred to a Tier 2 VIP customer service rep named William, he was downright arrogant and evasive. I don't know how they hire people who don't know how to talk to customers and tell them that they should fix the errors that legal zoom caused.
The follow up with customer service was promised in 5 business days, it took almost three weeks. I was told SORRY we can't except any blame for this issues.
You can do a lot better for the money, I feel as if i was swindled by a con artist.

This company has charged my bank card for 2 months in a row and I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM! I NEVER AUTHORIZED THEM TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT... WHEN I CALLED I WAS TOLD I NEED AN ACCOUNT NUMBER EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM, SO ONE DOES NOT EXIST AND THE $#*! I TALKED TO GOT VERY LOUD TALKING OVER ME SO I NOW HAVE TO CLOSE MY BANK ACCOUNT AND OPEN A NEW ONE AS ACCORDING TO THE $#*! ON THE PHONE THEY ARE GOING TO CONTINUE CHARGING MY CARD FOR AN ACCOUNT I NEVER ESTABLISHED... NO ORDER # TO ENTER BELOW AS I NEVER ORDERED A DAMN THING OR EVEN HEARD OF THIS CROOKED $#*! COMPANY!
