After four years of not communicating with LegalZoom they were extremely cooperative on getting my account recovered and up to date. When it came to federal law they were prompt to keep me updated on mandates and regulations. Very professional and well mannered business.
The most horrible customer support and the longest wait times I have ever experienced. I purchased an LLC package with all the bells and whistles to include expedited processing. After two months of waiting, broken promises from customer support ("It will be finished today, we are so sorry for the wait..."), many unanswered questions, no contact, hours on the phone and in chat rooms, and a refusal to refund services not rendered, I cannot recommend LegalZoom.
I was on hold today for over 3 hours in total. Hung up on once and had answer other calls on the other. Legal Zoom uses trickery to give you a free service for 30 days, then they charge your card $548 for some Tax Prep Fee. They are going to return the charge but why would anyone want that in the first place. If you want long hold times and zero communication you've found the place.
Very poor management, never refer to anyone for this. Don't call them. It is absolutely scam; I had a very frustrating experience with this company. The website was very late in replying me. Absolutely pathetic customer service.

Purchased a Living Trust on 10/3/20, and unfortunately received terrible customer service to the point I cancelled my purchase on 10/16. LegalZoom claims to have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and offers a full refund within 60 days of purchase. I was informed by their personal services dept that I would be refunded everything except $50.00. They explained that there's a cancellation fee with a deed company within my living trust. I was never made aware of this or even spoke with anyone at a deed company. In fact, my trust application was never completed before I cancelled. Bottom line, LegalZoom has loop holes in their satisfaction guarantee. And they have terrible customer service, don't explain things up front, and if you need help they really don't care about you as a customer. So glad I never completed the Trust as they would have been a nightmare to deal with moving forward.
I've always liked LegalZoom for they can provide a basic level of legal documentation and services at a very fair price. Also, what really impresses me is their customer service function. On a couple of occasions, I've had issues related to the work purchased and thus had to contact their customer service staff.
I do appreciate the fact that I was able to speak to a person who could figure out the essence of my issue; could get to a "live" person without being on hold for an inordinate amount of time; and then, get my problem resolved without them having to take it to a "higher authority". I am also always pleased with how smoothly issues get fixed and wished that other websites would take a similar attitude.

They give you a receipt and a small * next to one of the items, which most of us would miss. Then they keep deducting that amount off of your credit card. Beware people, you will not get a refund. Ridiculous, but that is how Legalzoom works!
I accidentally saw my bank statement and realized that they have been deducting 14.99$ every month! Called the customer care, but they wont refund my money

I revised my Power of Attorney 3 times without any problems. I did call and speak with customer service people twice and they were very good at resolving issues I brought up. This isn't the first time I've used legalzoom and won't be the last! I was also introduced to the Legal Advantage Plan and have used that twice. I highly recommend LegalZoom...

The most inept group of people I have ever dealt with in my life. Paid them for 5 years as my registered agent. When I didn't receive my biennial report paperwork I called them. Here we are 4 weeks later, absolutely no progress and my business will be dissolved in a week because of their laziness. I was absolutely guaranteed a return phone call today, by an escalation manager. No call, no email, nothing. Yes, the dissolution of my business doesn't even merit a response from them. Weeks of phone calls, hours spent on hold, an endless array of useless phone reps, absolutely no progress, no responses to emails. The level of customer service is staggeringly inept. Never, ever do business with them. I am so sorry that I am about to lose my business over this, I am crushed.

I paid legal zoom 159.00 to dissolve/close my business. They closed my business but continued to charge me to maintain it. I'm being charged 29.99 a month for business advantage pro renewal, 548.00 a year for essential compliance, tax preparation, advisory package renewal and 159.00 a year for registered agent renewal. There is no way for them to provide any of these services on a business that is closed/inactive, so I don't know why they're still drafting my account for these services. Also they charged these bogus fees to my expired BOA debit card. I'm not sure how BOA managed to let that happen. Don't use Legal Zoom! They over charge for everything and as often as they can. Don't let them do automatic bank drafts from your bank account. Don't do it; you'll be sorry. Now I have to try to work with them, the bank, the better business bureau and the state to get my money back. Ugh, this is just a wast of my time. I hate Legalzoom!

Their workflow system to get everything together is a mess. Their communication is poor, you can't reach your selected advisor directly because "they have hundreds" of clients per advisor. Well, that's understandable, but then make your user interface/workflow for tax preparation stronger to inform the user status and actions.
If you go with their tax package, DO NOT BUY IT until it is tax time itself, because there is only a 60-day window for tax cancellation. For my case, I purchased in August. Big mistake. The tax preparation come April was a mess, to the point that I took control back and did my own taxes.
After talking with their billing, it was a too-bad-so-sad from them, and that I will have to honor my year long commitment. $700 put in so far and $400 to go with no tangible results. Their emails are elusive in what is missing, and information is sometimes conflicting. USE TURBO TAX INSTEAD.

There was an error in my initial filing for an LLC, and the representative that helped me-Joseph Kim-clearly communicated what he was going to do to fix it as he took me through the process, step by step. If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is simply built to take advantage of people that are inexperienced in starting a business. They blindly enroll you into a myriad of subscriptions that have zero value and then make it nearly impossible to cancel. The effort required to cancel is oftentimes not worth the $200 annual fee.
I wish the horrible customer service was just negligence instead of what it really is - a way to wear you out instead of trying to reach the right person (and I do mean person - NOT department) to simply cancel an annual subscription that you never needed in the first place.

Any other company would be better than legalzoom. I was tricked into signing up for the registered agent service and was charged without them telling me how much it would cost. Then I paid extra for rush delivery for a document that I received 2 weeks earlier by email. The customer service rep was rude and unhelpful. Never using them again. It cost me a total of over $1300, I would've paid less if I got it done with a lawyer.

Our registered agent service is offered only as an option to our business customers. The online questionnaire offers our service but also allows you to name another (including yourself). The website explains the service is a yearly subscription that begins the moment the company is confirmed as filed with the state. I'm just beginning to research getting a living trust and will for my husband and myself. Finding out that the cost was very reasonable got me to first base. Now I have to put together what I believe we'll need to start the process with LegalZoom. I feel confident they will do a good job for us.

Honestly all legal zoom cares about is getting your money, they completely lied and said they did a search on a trademark for the name and when i told them about letters of actions for over $1000 worth for the trademarks the guy on the phone laughed and said legal zoom did their part and their done with me now.
He had a very sarcastic tone and definitely unprofessional. I would not want this to happen to anyone so be careful dealing with them. They are a third party and most likely you could spend the same amount hiring a lawyer or someone else to do it.

Great hire! I feel like most live chat people you talk to have to look at a manual/google things to help you that you could easily do yourself but not the case here. He was knowledgeable and quick and friendly and knows his stuff.

Sure, they can get you "registered" with the proper requirements... except you BETTER cancel the automatic TAX subscription (oh, you didn't know you signed up for that, did you?) within the first 60 days. Otherwise, they will continue to bill you $99/month for 12 months.
I would recommend going to an actual accountant to help setup the business. It takes longer, but it also supports small business.
