Lenovo has a rating of 1.9 stars from 148 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Lenovo most frequently mention customer service, new computer, and next day problems. Lenovo ranks 229th among Laptops sites.
I`m not sure about the site, because I`ve been buying the products in my local stores. But Lenovo laptops and some phones have never let me down, good reliable devices. Though lately they are making them much more expensive - thats kind of a drawback.
I purchased a new laptop on the Lenovo site in November of 2023. It would not turn on when fully charged. Lenovo sent me a new computer and told me to return the one I had. I did. The second laptop came with the wrong power cord. I called Lenovo; I had a 12-month warranty. They told me I purchased my laptop from Mexico so they couldn't help me. WHAT? They sent it to me. Finally they figured out that the serial number on this computer did not go with the product I had. They gave me the serial number they found when signing in to the backend of this laptop. So, I called support to get the power cord, and they told me this computer was not under warranty as it was sold to me "as is" No. I purchased a brand new computer for $1900. Filing small claims on Monday.
OK so my tablet has broken down (again!) and getting it sorted by Customer Services is proving to be a bit of a nightmare. I'm currently dealing with someone called Alein whose grasp of English is pretty flawed - so much so that i can't tell if my emails are actually being understood or just ignored! Alein couldn't even sort out the correct UPS collection procedure for picking up my tablet which is under warranty - I've pretty much had to do everything myself. Why don't companies use Customer Service agents who actually are native speakers of the countries services they look after? It would save so much aggravation for the customer. Oh hang on - they use this type of service because it's cheap and because customer service isn't actually important to them in the long run.
Bought a Lenovo IdeaPad. Cost with extended warranty well over 1000!
Less than 4 months later, nothing but problems. Spent 2 days with customer service only to find out that I have to send it back for them to repair. It will take at least 3-5 business days before I will even get the return box, then 3-5 days for them to receive this junk back, then another at least 9 business days for them to fix it, then 3-5 days for me to get it back. So it could take a month or more and I have to do without a laptop until it's fixed. I will NEVER buy another Lenovo product.
I have bought a new lenovo A680 dual sim quad core processor android phone day before yesterday. Really it sounds good. In that phone all google apps have been pre installed and also, Facebook, twitter apps are also pre installed. The specifications of the phone is really nice. So, I would like to recommend you all to buy the lenovo company phones to enjoy the full usage.
I had an apalling experience with Lenovo. Most unresponsive staff(especially the case manager named 'Sky'). My brand new laptop suddenly stopped charging and after getting it repaired once, the same issue re-occured within months. And this time, the lenovo support staff are extremely unresponsive and rude. I regret buying a Lenovo device. Inspite of all this trouble they caused, they did not compensate me with anything.
Rather reliable products but presonally for me there is one better brand on the market. But this is the matter of choice and if to say about Lenovo - they make reliable and great performing products. I still remember the times when they had very low pricing only entering the market but now everything has changed - the products are good but quite expensive..
I've been using a Storm Grey Chromebook 5i (14" Intel) since last year. It has the best chromebook performance I've ever experienced, and the battery life is incredible. Additionally, the chromebook's keyword is excellent.

I will never buy another product from Lenovo again here's why. On the website it says "The best products deserve the best care" but they don't show that. I purchased a Lenovo G25-10 Monitor - Type 65FE and it arrived with a dead pixel in the center of the screen. When I wrote a repair ticket they ghosted me and never got back to me. The other day I also noticed that there was a scratch on the screen and dozens of stuck/dead pixels where it is. I never did anything to cause this and they said on a live chat that any damage isn't covered by warranty. If they really cared about their customers and products they would repair it or replace it for me. Do not purchase a product from them unless you want to deal with terrible support.
So I ordered my Lenovo laptop online a few months ago. I'm finding it inconvenient to use. Every time I boot it up, I am inundated with forced download/apps which is a time waster. And this is even before I can begin to log on. The security of this computer is also of concern for me. I am hesitant to use it to pay bills and do my banking on it. I have resorted to using my phone instead that requires my sensitive, personal information. I got it on a good deal, but I guess I got what I paid for.
Tip for consumers:
How I wish this company would not go down the drain as time passes, they're losing quality on their products.
Lenovo computer fell apart from the month i bought it,camera stoped working then the keybord stop functioning,i have to plug in a keybord to work, never let them update the computer, now it's so s;ow i just want to get rid of it.don't buy lenovo.
Tip for consumers:

Lenovo is the best quality of laptops provided. Super Hd display with keyboard lights. I love this laptop so much. This is affordable ranges and its best for work and study purposes. Thanks for the good service and the free laptop bag.
Lenovo smartphones are much competitive in prices and best bargain I ever made both quality and price. Laptops too fair enough. I had 2 of laptops one died out after 7 years and one still functioning.
I ordered and paid for the USB-C to Ethernet Adapter on 1/30/2024 but NEVER received it. I chatted with Lenovo 3 separate times (painfully) and was told because UPS had proof of delivery, I would not be issued a refund. I immediately contacted Lenovo on the same day the package was supposedly delivered to promptly report the missing package. UPS on the other hand, supposedly delivered but did not deliver the package to the right place. I am now left holding the bag and thankfully I filed a claim with my credit card company who has always taken good care of me.
Lenovo on the other hand DID NOT TAKE CARE OF ME. I am a small business and have purchased many items from them, including a Thinkpad X1, THREE times over the last 7 years. I will NEVER purchase a single Lenovo item again. For a measly $39+, they would rather stick to their policies and opt to lose me as a satisfied customer. From now own, I will purchase from one of the many high quality laptop brands.
Lenovo:
IS NOT A BRAND THAT CARES ABOUT ME
IS NOT A BRAND THAT APPRECIATED MY PAST BUSINESS
IS NO LONGER A TRUSTED BRAND TO SHOP FOR ME
IS NOT A BRAND I FEEL CONNECTED TO
DID NOT MAKE THINGS RIGHT WHEN SOMETHING WENT WRONG OVER A MEASLY 39 BUCKS
Tip for consumers:
The chat experience (3 separate times) with people overseas was inefficient. The chatters could get to the point quicker. All the flowery superfluous so-called assurances were a waste of my time.
I ordered a product, just within 24 hours i want to cancel it, they say it will take 2 - 4 days to respond to cancel request, and then they will not be sure if they cancel it or not... what the hell is this..
I have owned 3 Lenovo laptops in the past and they were great! I purchased another Lenovo laptop 2 years ago and it is the worst computer I have ever owned/used. I slao ordered and paid for a Microsoft package that never came with. This computer is slower than a computer I used in 1997. I have to constantly restart it to improve it's performance. It also freezes up frequently.
I will not be buying another Lenovo!
Owned two high end Lenovo laptops and both broke within a year.
1. Bought a Yoga 7i 14" ($1000) with i5 Evo in August 2021, hinges broke and cracked the top in August of this year. Called customer service and they told me I need to pay for the repair as warranty expired 10 days ago. Actually it broke 3 days before it expired, but was busy at work and until I called it was too late.
2. My job gave me a brand new top of the line X1 carbon latest gen in 2018. Six month later blue screen, motherboard died, luckily replaced under warranty.
Never buying Lenovo again! All my friends call me for advise and I warned them all to stay away from cheap Chinese products like Lenovo. My Macbook Air M1 is waay better in every aspect for $100 less.
Built quality, performance, screen resolution, battery life, NOT heating ever!
I'm a great fan of Lenovo laptops. I have one that's almost 10 years old and still works perfectly. The only issue I had was the SD card wasn't reading, turns out that reinstalling the OS fixed this - not Lenovos fault.
Everything in the machine works as it did. The screen in particular is great (whereas I've had other laptop screens develop various issues after long term use.
Tip for consumers:
Check reviews online for the laptop you want to buy :)
6 years ago I ordered laptop Lenovo Z51-70.
Advantages:
-Value for money
-Appearance
-Matte full HD screen
-Nice keyboard and touchpad
-Backlit keyboard
-Screen resolution
-The sounds are amazing... two 2.5 watt speakers
Disadvantages:
-Built-in battery
In general, I am satisfied with the purchase of this model.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 15 is a nice product but the battery is inadequate to serve off plug for more than a couple of hours w/o needing add'l charging. You have to purchase the more expensive YOGA to get a solid battery. Only other concern - I have the 3 year onsite warranty. They were to "send someone to assess why the camera is not functioning". They never did. Then the came covid and the laptop stopped booting so now it is all on me to get them the laptop and wait... Concerned I'll be w/o it for quite sometime. We will see. I love my Lenovo ThinkCentre desktop.
I am having a horrible experience. I bought a IdeaPad 3 almost a year ago. Within the first 2 weeks I had to return it because the battery wasn't working. Now less than a year later, I have an important paper to write and the computer started slowing down. I called Lenovo for help but was told that I had to purchase additional service to have a technician help me with my solution. My sister had the same problem, but was able to return hers because she had the extended warranty. Not so lucky for me. I will never buy Lenovo again! Worst customer service! I am still waiting from January 4th for a response from the online inquiry.
Tip for consumers:
That this was a horrible computer and the service is even worse

Do some research on the website itself and problems that people have ordering from them. The website is nothing but trouble and ordering is impossible. They put a "hold" on my card now for 5 days...(wtf?) And I haven't received any kind of order number or confirmation and customer service is completely useless. I need a laptop for school ASAP and these jerkwads are screwing up everything by taking my money and giving me nothing in return. Do a gjick search on this kind of stuff. Wish I did. It happens all the time.
I am a very proud owner of both a desktop and Idealpad computers for 2 years. The service and online help is super. I made my purchases at my local STAPES store in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Lenovo makes my life so easy to access software, updates, and online security a breeze. What excellent products in the technology market.
I ordered one laptop. They gave shipment delay.
Till 10 days it was sipment delay. In their call center on one is picking your call. There is on reply to mail. If there is any that will system genrated bull$#*!.
My situation is like where to for complain. Most probably i will have to go to consumer form.
IBM's attempt to rebrand their computers and lenovo worked out pretty well. I bought a Lenovo a year ago and didn't even realize it was an IBM computer. For some reason I always thought of IBM as outdated but now I only have bought lenovo computers because they worked out for me so well. I used this site to buy rather than shopping on other sites because here I can customize what I want and get an extended warranty too.
I strongly advise against LENOVO to everyone due to the EMEA customer care - BAD and such as to arrive at the rudeness and personal offenses.
Incredible.
After my new and very little used tablet went for service 2 times in a few months, I complain politely and receive inferences from a certain "Aleksandra" (among other things with grammar errors and very bad syntax).
Absurd.
The first time in my life that assistance - among other things after frustrating premises - allows itself to have a tone like this!
I do not recommend LENOVO because you pay more for a brand that has the worst support I have ever experienced!
I order something that should be deliverd in 1 to 3 days. Almost 2 weeks are gone and i still didnt get my order. I am calling like desperate the customer service and nobody can give me information about my order. They say to me the order is at the moment out of stock. But when i go to the link where i bought it, it still says the order is on stock... all what they say is if i want to give my order up. But i dont want this. Really
Disappointed for such a big company to have such a bad organisation..
