Lenovo has a rating of 1.9 stars from 148 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Lenovo most frequently mention customer service, new computer, and next day problems. Lenovo ranks 229th among Laptops sites.
I`m not sure about the site, because I`ve been buying the products in my local stores. But Lenovo laptops and some phones have never let me down, good reliable devices. Though lately they are making them much more expensive - thats kind of a drawback.
I purchased a new laptop on the Lenovo site in November of 2023. It would not turn on when fully charged. Lenovo sent me a new computer and told me to return the one I had. I did. The second laptop came with the wrong power cord. I called Lenovo; I had a 12-month warranty. They told me I purchased my laptop from Mexico so they couldn't help me. WHAT? They sent it to me. Finally they figured out that the serial number on this computer did not go with the product I had. They gave me the serial number they found when signing in to the backend of this laptop. So, I called support to get the power cord, and they told me this computer was not under warranty as it was sold to me "as is" No. I purchased a brand new computer for $1900. Filing small claims on Monday.
I purchased 3 computers for our company, all the same new 2019. March of 2020 my computer stopped working - motherboard crapped out. Shipped it in and was told can't get parts, don't know when or if it will return. Well months later comes back in the mail- worked ok but always had problem of any updates thru the past 2 years. Windows 11 comes and once again no way to update. Decided to see a local computer specialist and found out in my 6 month old computer they replaced the motherboard with a 10 year outdated motherboard and felt that was sufficient. Had I known that at the time I would have never accepted it. I called today and basically getting the runaround - it's out of warranty and old, nothing we can do. How about when it was under warranty why didn't you replace it with a new computer and not give me shoddy equipment and pass it off as well it's working. I paid 2599.00. I got 12$ service. I am completely aware that 2020 and 2021 was a time where parts were unavailable, but it was under full warranty and I should have been given new not old. I am dying to know if anyone has a fix for this problem or I just verbally trash Lenovo from now until the end of time. Trust me- never again as far as I'm concerned. Lenovo warranty, service and computers are the worst.
The owner of ZUK Z2 and Lenovo IdeaPad Y700. I didn't think before that Lenovo is a sign of quality, but it's true! The smartphone is very convenient and fast. And the filling is excellent, given its price category. Well, about the laptop, I generally keep quiet. Very productive! Of course, it is more intended for games but shows itself well in everyday tasks. I am definitely happy with the purchases!
Dealing with Lenovo has been an absolute disaster. My father's Lenovo computer has spent more time in the repair shop than in our home. The same issue - a failing screen, kept recurring, even after multiple repairs under warranty.
When the same issue reared its ugly head again, Lenovo had the audacity to blame us for 'mechanical damage' and demanded a staggering $700 for repair. The irony is, the only 'mechanical damage' might have been due to their pathetic excuse for a shipping box. It was ill-fitted, flimsy, and lacked even the basic courtesy of a 'fragile' label.
Don't just take my word for it. See the photos I've attached - they tell the story of Lenovo's 'quality', or lack thereof. Despite the multiple repair tickets and our pleas for a reliable fix, Lenovo chose to ignore the problem and then blame the customer.
This experience has been a costly, stress-inducing disaster, one that I wish upon no one. Lenovo has shown complete disregard for customer satisfaction and I urge you to think twice before handing over your hard-earned money to them.

If you see a product on sale through Lenovo do not believe in shipping estimates pre-purchase because they drastically change post-purchase. For example, the Lenove 10e was on sale for $99 shipping est. Was 4-7 days- Right after purchase and review, I see the shipping at 2+ Months? WHAT? I called customer service and they don't give true information bc they want a positive review. One guy said 'it's shipping out in a few days" only to be told 3 days later on a follow-up that it's still at 2+ Months.
Lenovo gives it's consumers ZERO PRODUCT UPDATES about shipping changes, delays etc.
Why buy from Lenovo when you can get true experience with Amazon or Ebay? Never again will I buy from Lenovo unless I hear Amazon bought them out.
This is what you get Lenovo for being a bum-company. You get this review.
Tip for consumers:
Don't trust Lenovo.

Build quality is very Poor, Warranty is a Joke, and the software doesn't work with the hardwear, making your full time job trouble shooting why your laptop is broken and fighting with the warranty claim to just get something done.
If After spending over £10,000 on top of the range laptops this is how they treat their customers! God help any one buying any other piece of trash they sell.
Nothing but problems from start to finish will be looking elsewhere in future and making sure people know how bad the company and products are.
Stay away.
Issues include:
Screen falls out of a £2000 laptop...
HDMI dosnt work on a £2000 business laptop...
Keyboard feel is inconsistent from laptop to laptop
Laptop runs and works with a external monitor, laptop screen is blank...
USB-C harness broken so that usbc port is unstable for data transfer and unstable for charging.
And many, many other poorly optimised software issues...
Tip for consumers:
The warranty isnt worth the paper its written on and the products are unreliable... not really what you want from a business laptop

Lenovo's handling of the refund process for an order which I requested be cancelled before it was shipped out has been completely unprofessional and downright dishonest. Despite contacting Lenovo customer service numerous (5+) times and waiting over 30 days since I returned my order using the provided prepaid shipping labels, Lenovo continues to inform me that they are "processing" my refund pending an internal investigation to determine how and why one of the boxes in the shipment was delivered to the wrong address. Again, the return shipment was shipped using Lenovo-supplied prepaid shipping labels... In spite of that fact, Lenovo has refused to take responsibility for what is clearly their mistake, and has given me the runaround time and again.
Due to this experience, I fully intend to boycott Lenovo and will advise all persons in my personal and private networks to do the same. I can forgive anyone for making mistakes and owning up to the fact, but for a company to treat a customer in this dishonest manner is completely unforgivable. If anyone reading this values basic honesty and expects even a modicum of customer service, I would wholeheartedly advise you to avoid this company.

So I made a mistake in buying a Lenovo IdealPad 110-15isk from Best Buy. I thought I was getting a great deal, but instead I think I bought a dud. This laptop is lacking in many areas such as a lousy Elan touchpad, one mono (very small) speaker on the bottom no less. Plus a inability to add RAM without replacing the current RAM. Only has one slot for RAM, and disassembly isn't very easy either. Battery life not great even with a low powered Intel i3. Hard drive is typical 5400 Rpm's and the. 3 MP camera is horrible, not even usable. I can't believe Lenovo even bothered to install a camera? All in all I wished I had taken back this laptop within the allotted time frame. Its probably the worst laptop I have ever owned.
Their Yoga series laptops work pretty well! A lot of people I know use their notebooks and I also had a chance to use one. Pretty good hardware and durable!
Hello, I ordered Lenovo vibe p1 for my sister two weeks ago. The phone has already arrived! Company's customer service is even higher than I expected!
Shortly after this review was published, an Account Manager at Lenovo reached out to me and almost immediately reimbursed me for the missing balance, making things right. Thank you Lenovo.
I paid $2682 for a Lenovo Thinkpad in October 2019. The unit arrived defective. After I returned it, the sales rep, Brannon **, only authorized a partial refund of $2279. 70, leaving a balance of $402.30 which they still owe me as of this writing on May 21,2021. Phone calls, emails, supervisors, were not helpful. Lenovo is a deceitful company, cheating their customers and getting away with it if they can. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND doing business with them. BUYER BEWARE! (This review will go viral.)
Tip for consumers:
Lenovo may have made a name for themselves in the PC industry, but buyers beware of their sneaky, underhanded unethical business tactics. They ripped me off over $400 to this day while giving me the run-around when I tried to retrieve the fund...each and every time.

Since I could not use this Lenovo brick, I had to resort to an HP Spectre PC.
After waiting for UPS to deliver a new business laptop, it turns out that Lenovo hasn't filled out a FORM to allow it to be delivered. They shipped it but won't deliver it to me. Of course, they were PAID IN FULL when the order was placed nearly a month ago.
This company has outsourced all communication to the Philippines so they have no sense of being an American company.
It was MY MISTAKE to purchase from them. Despite having a decent product, it won't happen again!
Tip for consumers:
Go elsewhere!!!

When will I learn? What happened to Lenovo? I still have a 2013 Desktop that functions great when Windows updates don't screw it up. The last Lenovo tablet I bought, the larger 10 inch, could barely function online. The screen would rotate if it wasn't PERFECTLY level, and it would freeze. After a year of dealing with it I threw it out, thinking it was an anomaly. Then I bought this. THERE IS NO BACK BUTTON. I have to go back to the website's first page if I need to go back. It freezes all the time. Even while writing this review. I also can't find the button to show all of the open windows, so the battery drains quickly. These buttons are usually on a line at the bottom. I don't have that line. So this is garbage. I'm using it only for the Kindle app now and have to find an alternative for my professional needs. So that's almost $300 spent in 13 months on Lenovo tablets that were absolute mistakes. Lenovo is done. Its glory days are gone. I love my desktop and wish the quality had continued.

I use this laptop for school, but what I really don't like about it is that whenever I get on a zoom meeting, the audio sometimes glitches out and then it just stops.
The stylus and how it is configured to work wireless with the remote pointer was a first for me when I received my package. To this day I remember the excitement we all had in the house.
I bought Lenovo All in One computer a year ago. It started shutting down by itself about 3 months ago, but it turned on after that, so we kept using it. In December 2021, it didn't turn on and since then it's dead without the power and that was a week after the warranty was expired. I tried to contact Lenovo, but I called a few times, and the machine says "request a call back" however they didn't make it easy for the one out of warranty, the page doesn't exist. I called again and finally talked to someone. She said that it would get repaired and a box would arrive to send it to the repair shop. Nothing was delivered after 2 weeks and called them again and they said that it was out of warranty so I should go to a local technician to get repaired. I also brought it to Best buy as I bought it from them. They didn't much do and said I should contact Lenovo. I decided to go to a local repair shop to get repaired. I talked to a few different places. They all said that this must have been a manufacture defect and the repair cost is almost same as a new computer. I called Lenovo again and they said that the case is escalated, and a manager would call you. Of course, no one calls me. I called a few times after that and it's always the same result. Few people hung up on me after they said please on hold. I also have another laptop a half year old. It already started acting weird... It takes 3 minutes to start... I would never ever buy any products from Lenovo again! Stay away from Lenovo!

They said that they won't repair it without the warranty. I brought a few local repair shops to get diagnosed, they all said that it overheated and killed the computer. Support Lenovo devices because of their quality. Think it's one of the best series at a good price. Do not see any reason to pay for brands like Apple. This one is not worse for the tasks I complete.
Carbon x1... ehh... far the best lap I have ever had in my hands. I could write until tomorrow about it, but let me just say few things, Fast&furious.
Worst company ever.
Bought a new PC, one week and I had to send it back to them because not working. 6 weeks after got back the PC with the same problem. Call them 12 times and always the line gets cut off and nobody ever calls you back.
Still with over $1000 pc not properly working.
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Last two month before i have purchased a lenove laptop and this is working sometime not good.
Their laptop hang immediately but resolve after taken much more time. Other wise it is good.
For those that have a think pad or are thinking of a think pad purchase do more homework. Once you own it and paid for it it kinda ends there. If you've been lucky enough not to have any issues you probably got a unit manufactured on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Those units actually work well and you'll never have to deal with customer service as you' ll out grow the expired. Everybody else well best of luck if you gotta deal with service. Try to get a phone number to actually talk to someone in your country that can help you is an artful task in itself that could require a disposition towards being a Private Investigator. Be prepared to invest a min of 5 hrs just to cross this first hurdle and then be prepared to be frustrated by being constantly re- directed to the wrong departments that are not able to or don' t have the authority to help you.
The premis of the customer is the the reason we exist doesn't seem to resonate with this company. Rather you're an inconvenience in the realm of their world... wherever that is.
Choose wisely and ask all the questions about what if before you what do I do now after the fact... and always ask the day the unit was built on... LOL!
Best
I know Lenovo is a very well known company for it's versatile options it has for you... I have experience with Lenovo for three years and it has been a terrible journey...
(A) My laptop is unable to keep up with the user's commands and I am very disappointed. It constantly hangs with many applications and has forced to me to switch to lite alternatives with which I am facing limitations.
(B) One month ago, my laptop crashed when I was on a very important business call. The system never updated and I had to visit a service center to change my hard disk which came with its own expenses.
(C) The service is horrible with constant drawbacks. I am highly disappointed and strongly hope that this is amended in the future.
(D) Although the laptop was cheap the additional expenses I had to pay with hard earned money greatly displaced the original cost. I suggest to save up and rather buy a Del or an HP laptop so as to not regret the decision in the future.
(E)My laptop has crashed many times in the past and I have lost important work numerous times.
(F) The media that I have attached is when my laptop crashed and it constantly diagnosed and repaired but never once did it start. Had to change hard drive and lost very important business deal.
I would never suggest this laptop to anyone. I hope this review has helped you not make a regretful decision and has saved you some money. Very bad expirence.
Placed an order and cancel it, the customer service agent never canceled the ordered and the product was sent out. I called told them the order wasn't cancel and the product got shipped. The customer service agent said they need to return the product back to the wherehouse and the i would be refunded. It took 2 weeks to have the product sent back. 3 days after it was at the dock and confirmation from UPS that it was received at their dock they still haven't refunded me, Called again and asked for the refunded they said i had to wait 10 to 15 day for the refund. That's over 30 days for a refund, when they made the error on their end. I spoke to a supervisor since none of the agents could help me, he told me it would I would be refunded on Friday, it is now Monday and still no refund. The whole time customer service was horrid and couldn't believe such a big company like Lenovo had such horrid customer service. Never buying lenovo again due to horrible customer service.
I bought this thing in December and just pulled it out in August. I know didn't need it that bad. I got an 11" which is to small, I hate it but that's my fault. The keyboard is awkward and hard to type on. (Could be that it is because it's 11"). It CONTSTANTLY does pop ups. I can't get them to stop. It wants me to upgrade this or that. It is brand new, I don't need to upgrade anything! These pop ups will block what I am working on and sit there until they feel like going away or feel I have gotten a really good look at the ad. I have to pay for every little thing. Microsoft Office, Virus Protection, it came with none of that the first year. I am getting ready to start a bookkeeping job from home and I will have to buy a new one (that is bigger, again on me) faster and more user friendly. I have not had contact with customer service so I can not speak as to their service. My sister saw it and said they use them at her office and they hate them. She didn't specify why I just agreed. When you give up, you give up. There are better rated laptops on Amazon for the same price or less that come with more features.
Let me tell you about my experience.
I purchased a chrome book from your website August 13,2022. It was sent back and received in your warehouse wherever it is August 30,2022.
Today is October 29,2022, that makes 42 business days since you received the chrome book in your warehouse.
I have sent emails, I have called and I have called and called some more. I have yet to receive a refund on this chrome book that was sent back to your warehouse August 30 of 2022.
Every time I call I get the response of it takes 3 to 5 business days! Within that timeframe I get an email that states it takes 2 to 10 business days to get a refund. I have heard this three or four times since I've called since October 1. I waited the 30 days without responding giving you time to do something and now it's been well over 60 days and I've yet heard anything!
I have contacted Apple to get my refund as that's where I purchased it through! I do not understand why it has taken so long to refund me!
I'm tired of getting nowhere when I call! So, instead I am leaving reviews all over the internet how horrible they are and not refunding me in a TIMELY MANNER!
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you NEVER need to return something! Its been 60+ days since they received my product back. I’ve YET to receive a refund!!!
